"We heard this place was closed; what's the scoop? There's no word yet when MUDE will finally complete its renovation, but MUDE Outside will keep us sated while we're waiting for the dramatic revamp of this fashion and design museum, which is situated in an old bank. Got it. And, before the temporary overhaul (and, hopefully, after), what could you see here? Prior to its overhaul, the museum featured more than 2,000 objects—a mix of clothing, accessories, footwear, furniture, and objects—that touched on themes like luxury and counterculture. We visited this museum for a design and music exhibition. Unfortunately, two floors were not in use. In the basement, you can still see the old bank lockers and the massive vault doors — very cool! The design exhibition upstairs was large, and there’s a cute shop as well. The restrooms were clean. I really enjoyed the museum.

exhibition were great, but the real star is the building itself! old bank, gently transformed into exhibition space - demure interventions, showing grest respect for the original architecture. 5 stars for that! and the new rooftop terrace: that‘s the million dollar view! worth coming here just for that! ❤️♥️❤️

With all respect to all the artists who spent hundreds of hours publishing there work , for me and my personal opinion i waisted 30 € on 2 tickets the moment i arrived to first floor i wanted to leave second floor were screens u have to watch some videos about space…. I love museums this one wast my type or was not that interesting for me, and i felt like it was missing a lot of things. I do not recommend it ,you can spend this im another activity lisboa is such a great city i wish i could have more time to visit every place on it.

Such a cool museum! I really liked it and thought it was a perfect place for art enthusiasts. The displays are modern and thought-provoking. 5 stars for a great experience and a wonderful addition to the local art scene.

Not worth the visit unless you're just trying to kill time. Objects often seem randomly chosen, especially in the furniture design section. There’s no narrative behind the trends, styles, or their connection to lifestyle. The educational value is minimal. There are no seating areas in the exhibition halls. The rooftop restaurant and terrace are closed. The museum is housed in a former bank building, which adds some interest. 40 mins to an hour is enough time to explore.

I wish this museum had more exhibitions. There was just one permanent exhibition when I visited. Lack of educational experience, absence of activities, restaurant, café and rooftop were closed. Two floors were completely empty (read abandoned), including library. As a museum enthusiasts I was quite disappointed, totally not worth spending €15 for an entrance fee. Also bear in mind, you can not purchase tickets online.

So much to see on so many levels. A great value at $15 to enter all exhibits. So much cool stuff to see. Fun looking at this history and the exhibits. Definitely worth going to especially if you are into fashion.

The former bank building, with its awe-inspiring vault and rooftop terrace, is stunning. But the exhibitions feel lackluster, not very engaging, and mostly repeat what you can see elsewhere in Europe.

A feast for the eyes! I love and respect great design from clothing to furniture to advertising posters. This museum has it all. Such a pleasure to walk through and soak it all in. There's also a rooftop terrace with beautiful views and flowers to enjoy. It's conveniently located in the heart of Lisbon, so don't miss it.

Nice to enter for free in a museum, and particularly when it's not a very good exhibition. It's an old bank which became a museum of modern art. So a great building. Quite interesting ground floor : objects, furnitures and clothes from all the times. Not many explanations on the walls, too bad that they don't propose a short visit with a guide, even with a student in art. We went to see the exhition at the 1st floor but we didn't enjoy it. It was about researches necesary to organise an exhibition. A lot of papers to read, not very ludic or interactive. At the end a video on an old TV but just in portuguese, with no subtutiles ! We couldn' understand what it was about...

I just love MUDE! This Fashion and Design museum in the heart of the old town in Lisbon is inspiring, well layed-out and it's FREE! 4 floors cover different exhibitions of Portuguese and international design with changing temporary shows on the top and lower level. Right now you can enjoy original stage costumes that have been made for Shakesspeare plays, Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake and many more. Upcoming later in May will be a Christian Lacroix feature which sadly I'll be missing.
