Used to be nice. How sad 💔 I used to love to support this store even though it’s crazy overpriced. Unfortunately any semblance of being a neighborhood treasure is gone with their utter lack of customer service / manners. They want to charge you for gift wrap — even when you spend $175. My mistake for stepping in.

The salespeople go above and beyond to help you select the perfect items without being too pushy. We were able to find several items and will definitely return.

Beautiful boutique with gorgeous clothes. Curated kids toys and books. The prices are more than I an willing to spend. None of the the two ladies take to me until I was almost in my way out.. And she was friendly

What a beautiful store! Absolutely loved shopping here. Got some gorgeous books and clothes and an amazing Halloween outfit for my son. The staff were also charming - can’t wait to go back!

Employees have been very nice every time I’ve come but the owner is condescending and rude.

Google
Terrible customer service and outrageous prices. You can get these same exact clothes and toys at other boutiques around the city for a lower price and friendly service. Everyone working here is rude and make you feel like you don't belong. I left feeling attacked by their staff. I will never go back. Head to Dottie Dolittle if you need high-end children's clothing and toys.

Good selection of baby and gift items, but beware, everything is way, way overpriced, some items are $10-$15 more than elsewhere. Some of the cheaper items I bought are nearly double the price than online. I checked the prices only after my purchases. I learned my lesson!

Our family loves Mudpie! They have so many one-of-a-kind antique and new items perfect for gifts, your baby/child, or to treat yourself. Every time we enter the store, staff are friendly and helpful but never pushy. The store feels very personal, welcoming and special. Some of the prices can be steep but generally match the quality, and typically for bands like Le Petit Bateau, that are expensive no matter where you find them. I may not personally want to buy the super pricy toddler coat, but certainly wouldn’t complain about it. A gem of a store in the middle of the Fillmore district!

Yelp
This is the most darling clothing, shoes and toy store for babies, toddlers, and young children that I probably have ever gone to. Their stuff is so perfectly curated, with high quality clothing items, i.e. Blueberry Hill, with all the things you can imagine and more. They have outfits for every occasion, including nice pajamas, cute Christmas outfits, cute "big brother" tshirts, dresses, and even little designer jackets from Stella McCartney (and the like). If you have an idea for something, they likely have it. The clothing is for all age groups - newborns, babies, toddlers, and young children. They have a pretty nice shoe selection too, although that seems to be more for the young child age. The toys are also very nicely curated. Everything looks very aesthetic, and good quality, nicely made, not cheaply designed. They also have toys for all age levels. They additionally have a huge Jellycat that is super cute to look at on display! They also have a great selection of books that are really cute - I ended up getting "Dog's First Baby" which was such a cute book, that my daughter loves so much, since we have a pup at home. Their service can be very helpful, if you know what you are looking for. However, I just so much enjoyment browsing here, since everything costs an arm and a leg. This is definitely a great place to buy a gift for anyone who is having a baby, or having a young child birthday party. The staff can recommend what to buy for a "3 month old" etc.! Love this store, always fun to browse when I'm in the area!

Yelp
We are so lucky to have this darling versatile children's store in our neighborhood. The service was incredible on every level. I was looking for an outfit for a baby shower I was hosting, and I also needed decorative items for my table. Kathy, the sales woman came up with a lovely idea! I bought the items for the table as the gift. She was creative and attentive to my needs. She spent the time and energy brainstorming with me to find the perfect solution, within my budget!! Thank you Mudpie! I highly recommend this beautiful children's clothes and toy store on Fillmore street. Good quality products, good service. For anyone attending a baby shower-please visit Mudpie! They also carry one of my favorite lines for woman's t shirts: Petit bateau.

Yelp
This place! Pretty sucks! After my gym class and I went in there with my sweatshirt the sales women saw me. And I can feel the energy from her wasn't welcome.( Maybe she's the owner!? .. I don't care. I'm still want to support the local business!) First don't judge anyone what they're wearing!! You can be surprise how much they can spend!! When I ready to pay. She look at me and gave me a weird face and said "You want your receipt email or text?" At first I didn't pay attention and I replied "May I have a paper receipt! And she's gave me a mean look!! We don't do paper!! I was sucked she's super super rude. If I go to a Chanel store. These SA will give me better service than this stupid baby store! Do you know why I buy that baby blanket for? Not for baby. It's for my cat!! So I don't care about the price! But her service was very bad.... Is it because I'm Asian? She's so rude and no manner!! I'm sorry. But I will never ...never go in again!!

Molly Rose M.

Yelp
Best kids store in SF! Both for clothing and toys. Great service, we were taken care of, thanks Kathy!

Yelp
I love shopping at the new location! It's cozy, friendly and welcoming. I always find something unique. The Swedish candy bag is my weakness. Get it gift wrapped, you won't be sorry

Yelp
I ordered on-line and received a confirmation about my order and it said more info will follow, after a week I followed up with Mudpie with an email and by phone. And was basically told they didn't have my order and my order number was bogus. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, multiple calls only to find the same.....then called credit card to cancel charge. Then I received an email from mudpie telling me they gave me the wrong carrier and the wrong order number and that it was delivered. Never did I ever get a follow up or what I call an apology for all the time I spent today emailing and calling. Not a good fit for doing business with.

Yelp
My mother, who is half black, went to buy my daughter a toy here, and she experienced blatant racism from one of their saleswomen. When she went to purchase the item, not only did the saleswoman not greet her, but when my mother asked to have it be gift wrapped the woman also questioned her ability to pay for the cost of having the item gift wrapped. The woman then left my mother alone at the checkout counter without completing the transaction to help another customer. My mother felt extremely unwelcome here and left without purchasing the item because she was made to feel like she didn't belong here. This is disgusting and unacceptable.

Yelp
Walking around Fillmore and decided to come in for a look. I had a drink in my hand and when I walked in, a woman greeted me and asked if I would please leave the drink at the front counter. I told her sure. Put it down and proceeded to look around. A lot of cute toys and outfits for the kids. I found a lovely flamingo purse for our niece and brought it. The woman at the register asked if I wanted it gift wrapped for a small fee and I said sure, why not?!? And next thing you know, I got a cute present all ready for the holiday.

Yelp
This store has cute, quality merchandise but the people who work here are an unhelpful, rude, wretched, and unpleasant bunch. No greeting, no communication of my total, just shoved the credit card reader toward me, no thank you, no "have a nice day" or goodbye. When I asked about a gift receipt the woman at the front desk looked at me blankly and said "they can just come here if they need to exchange it, we know our products"....okay????? Do you treat all customers this way? Seems like it judging by other reviews (which you clearly don't read or take into consideration). Came here out of convenience , but will not be returning.

Luisa L.

Yelp
Terrible customer service here. Super snooty and absolutely rude. I wouldn't spend a penny here. To the woman working on 6/3/23 at 12PM, change your attitude, unacceptable!!!

Yelp
This is my first Covid related review. I have seen this storefront and wanted to visit, but hadn't had the chance. While making my list of places to visit when everything opens again, I realized curbside pickup for Mudpie was available. While browsing, I narrowed in on their organized website and great selection of books. I chose about ten books for my kids and instead of curbside pickup, decided to have them shipped. I received a call from the store apologizing that two of the books weren't available. They offered a refund or other books. After a few short questions, the kind lady on the phone picked out two books I had never heard of. Those books ended up being my kiddos' favorite books. While shipping felt a tad expensive ($25), it arrived in less than 24 hours. The books were safely packed and wrapped with care so even the corners stayed safe during shipping. While the prices here aren't in my regular budget for my kids' clothing, I saw lots of cute clothes for gifts. After their Customer Service experience and wide selection, I'm even more excited to go into their brick and mortar store once retail opens back up.

Yelp
I have lived in Pacific Heights for 9 years -- long before I had a baby. While Mudpie used to be a place I'd walk past on Fillmore, it's now a relevant store to me as a new mama. I will give Mudpie the credit it deserves, which is its high quality, cute, and unique merchandise. Unfortunately, the service at Mudpie is frankly appalling. I have visited Mudpie 3 times; yesterday's visit will be my last. While we were trying on shoes for my son, the sales associate leaned over to my 9-month old baby and told him that he smelled like urine and needed a diaper change. Just appalling. Rude, hurtful, and frankly, cruel. I cannot imagine why these people are in the kids' business, or hire folks that treat children and new moms this way. Reading the other reviews, I am saddened to see that I am not the only person that has been treated this way at Mudpie. Please don't give this establishment your business.

Jenna L.

Yelp
I want to like this place. They have an adorable selection of clothing and great gift ideas. But the unfriendly vibe when I walk in, every single time, is not what this postpartum mama needs. Hard pass. Mudpie - take the curated brass stick out of your heinie and be nice to people who come in and want to support your business. It will be a better experience for everyone!

Yelp
One star because that is the lowest I can give this place that carries cute merchandise with a menancing crew. Get a slice of that Mudpie +'s: + Unique and cute merchandise abounds. Bunny slippers for newborns ($24), giraffe blankets, Asian dolls, awesome ostrich stuffed animals and plush sushi or macarons occupy the shelves. Surely you can find something cute for a newborn or tot. Pass on that slice of Mudpie -'s: - Hostile staff. I relent that my family and I lingered at the store for a long time. We were waiting on a family member to finish her browsing and conversation with someone upstairs. So we did retrace the store to kill more time. I was on the fence about buying something. That is until the staff came around my nephew and I. She pretended to straighten up items that were not in any disarray. She emitted cold looks and hostile stances that worked. We LEFT and will NOT return. Good luck selling your goods. I find them cheaper online and will never give you any business--unless maybe you have a going out of business sale. Nah. Mudpie is not worth any of my money.

Jane G.

Yelp
honestly a really disappointing turn for this store. used to be much better and friendlier, now are very combative and rude to customers and surrounding businesses. very overpriced too, your money is better spent elsewhere.

D K.

Yelp
While the merchandise in the store is lovely and there is a wide selection, the owner or employee working there the day I visited was ghastly. From her cold, unwelcome stare when I first entered to her rude, annoyed tone when I checked out, it was the most unpleasant shopping experience I've ever had. And, this is a children's store!! I am all for supporting small, local businesses, but not businesses that spurn their customers. This store has numerous reviews detailing abhorrent customer service, yet the owner continues to allow this behavior.

Yelp
I live a few blocks away in Japantown and have been coming here once in a while for years when I need a gift for a little one. Now that I am a mom to my own little one, I am even more appreciative of their terrific stock and quality books, toys, clothes, items, necessities, and more. The staff have never given me a hard time and I prefer to peruse on my own. Kind of surprised by the frequent one-star reviews. They may not be falling over themselves to be crazy helpful or crazy smiley - I don't think that's their style. What I am always eternally grateful to them is their impeccable taste and gorgeous gift wrapping! They do it with such care and shared with me that opening gifts is one of the biggest delights for children to enjoy, which is true! I am Asian, told them I was shopping for my nieces and nephews, and I felt like they understood my desire to make the children's day come alive or come true because they believe in making children's day shine, too. I am super grateful Mudpie is so close and is a great children's store

K L.

Yelp
I wish I could give a zero star review. I'm from SF and live in the neighborhood and have never consistently encountered such rude and unbelievably unhelpful store employees and owner. It's shocking. Spend your money at Dottie Doolittle in Presidio Heights instead - beautiful store and wonderful owner and employees.

Yelp
DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STORE. Although the merchandise is beautiful and well curated, the staff is beyond rude and disrespectful. First of all, when we walked in, the woman working there gave my friend a total stare down. We thought maybe she was just awkward. But then when we went to check out, my friend mentioned that what she was buying was a gift and the woman just stared at us. She didn't offer anything. My friend is so nice that she didn't really pressure her too much, just kinda politely asked if there was anything she could do. Again, the woman just kinda stared at her. Then i chimed in and said - can you make sure the prices are off or do anything special. She very rudely said - "The prices are printed, I can't remove them". My friend told her very kindly not to worry about it. Then woman said - very put out - "I could use a whiteout. It's dry". She never offered any tissue paper or wrapping or anything. It was like pulling teeth to get anything out of her. As this transaction was happening I put back what I was going to buy. I just couldn't give this store any more money. My friend probably spent well over $100, but we don't really know because the woman never gave my friend a total - just took her card and charged it. What is just so sad about this is that there are so many reasons to support this store: 1-it's a beautiful store 2- it's woman owned 3-it's locally owned but clearly they just don't care. the one star reviews that go back YEARS are ignored. I'm guessing the only reason this place stays in business is because the socialites who own this place get all of their socialite friends to support them. i just don't get why you would own a store if you didn't care about customer service.

Gail C.

Yelp
The owner (or boss, or whatever - the lady with the dark hair) is super rude. The girls who work there are absolutely delightful!
google avatar

Katherine W.

Yelp
I won't be able to review about the store itself since I never made it there. I called asking if they had any gifts specifically for the expectant father or grandmother to be and the person who answered curtly said "I mean, we have lots of gifts." So I thought I might not have explained myself well and clarified "You know, something like 'baby on the way' related" and she said "We have lots of baby items, we're a baby store." At almost 8 months pregnant and it being a major effort to get myself anywhere, I'll look for somewhere that is a little more helpful/less annoyed in dealing with me.

Yelp
NOT AN ASIAN FRIENDLY STORE We have been shopping at this store since our daughter was born 7 years ago. Our daughter has a stuffed animal obsession and they have a wide selection and last year they were able for secure for us a extra large oversized white tiger that was sold out everywhere. I know a lot if people have been bothered by the service they have gotten there but it was not until today where we had a uncomfortable encounter that left me feeling unsettled. my daughter was carrying a stuffed animal we had bought from another store a few weeks ago and as she was walking out the owner/ manager called out to her sharply asking if she had brought the stuffed animal in with her. I spoke with her nicely but it didn't occur to me until later she was actually accusing my 7yo or taking the stuffed animal from her store. my daughter felt uncomfortable with this interaction and led us to a conversation of how when people look different being AsIan , not wearing branded clothing sometimes you get treated differently. I don't usually leave reviews but I got the distinct impression she had a very specific idea of who we were as a family because calling out a little girl feels very abrasive but also assuming if my daughter had taken something she was assuming we as a family from the way we looked would not have had her return something she had taken. I'm a San Francisco native and growing up in this city where diversity isn't a issue I'm disappointed there are people like this mostly in retail setting geared towards children.

Yelp
I'm so surprised to see the list of negative reviews. I adore this boutique and it is one of my favorite places to stop by when I have an occasion to find a unique and thoughtful gift. They have such a beautiful selection of books, toys, and stuffed animals. I never cease to find exactly the right gift for a little one. I love that they don't have loud toys that look mass-manufactured and at the same time are also educational and high quality. The store has a lovely ambiance and there is something quite French about it. Their customer service is lovely, they've always taken wonderful care of me and wrapped the gifts beautifully. There are also a few trinkets and books for adults too which makes hanging around the store so fun. Don't feel concerned about the other reviews - consider that for each negative review that a customer put to air their dissatisfaction, there are far more positive experiences that customers don't feel inclined to write. I'm sure there are areas they can improve but I think if you step in the store it is undeniable to see how much effort and care is put into keeping the store in tip-top shape.

Martha D.

Yelp
Take your business elsewhere where it will he appreciated. I waited for this place to open at 11am. The lady at the counter was curt and dismissive.
google avatar

Olivia A.

Yelp
Appalling customer service. Not to mention outrageously overpriced . You can get the exact same items at other boutiques around SF for a better price and a bit common decency. I'd say the staff needs to be trained but it's obviously coming from management. Someone else wrote that they're a "menacing crew" and just about sums it up.

Howard W.

Yelp
Sadly, the person who seems to be the owner or manager at this store is so rude and unhelpful. I will never shop here again. There are plenty of other gift and baby shops in the area that make the in store experience a pleasure.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Now I wonder why a cute kids shop only has 3 stars. The shop is owned and ran by really bad management. No compassion, bad customer service, extremely overpriced toys and items (compared to the same brand same products from anywhere else). It's only in business cause it's on Fillmore street. Most importantly, the staff was RACIST! I walked in with my son the other day and we were the only Asians in the shop, the middle-aged woman greeted anyone else but skipped up. When I asked them for different sizes, she was quite rude and short with answers, and at the same time she was smiling and taking her time with the other customers. Will NOT go again!

Yelp
Mudpie is our amazing neighborhood children store with many offerings from clothes, toys, books and many more. Sarah and Sung are always so kind, patient and helpful whenever I rush into the store in need of baby items. They've really helped me as a first time mom!
google avatar

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Have walked by a million times, but since I don't have a kid I didn't really have an excuse to go in. The other day I was looking for a gift for a friend's little one and decided to pop in. The store is light, airy, and spacious with tons of books, fancy kid clothes, and toys. Surprisingly there were a lot of home accessories and cookbooks too. I ended up buying a really fun kiddy book and a couple sick cookbooks for myself too ;). I'll definitely keep this spot on the shopping itinerary for kid and house warming-type gifts in the future.

Illeana F.

Yelp
No wonder why this place has 2.5 stars - this store is ridiculous!!! Please STOP and save your $$$ and shop at other local stores in SF like Sprout, Fiddlesticks, Mapamundi kids or Aldea!! I had too many incidents at this store to not write a review. Can't believe they rather loose customers than growing their business. From like they have no shame of telling ppl to walk out because they have a drinking their hands from having horrible return policies, never ever will shop here again!!! - and honestly you shouldn't either.

ÁlvarodeAT A.

Yelp
Please don't give business to these people. I was initially so excited to go in since they offer a variety of stuff. The employee which looked like the owner was so rude for no reason the only thing that I can think is that we were speaking Spanish (I don't want to assume but that's what it looks like) she didn't want to give us a bag and was extremely rude at checkout. Don't open a business if you don't like people.
google avatar

Tim W.

Yelp
Cold staff. Is it too much to expect a smile when paying for my items? They tacked on a gift wrapping charge without letting me know. They "could not" provide me with a printed receipt. I honestly believe they said this so they could tack on a gift wrapping fee without me knowing. I only found out when I checked my email for my receipt. Most stores, out of common decency, would let the customer know there is a charge for gift wrapping. From the way they described it, I assumed gift wrapping was included. With their high prices, I assumed as such. Don't expect common decency or a smile out of the staff here. Will not be returning.
google avatar

Brenda O.

Yelp
This place is terrible when ordering online! Placed an order and was okay with paying shipping for the COMPLETE order but they only shipped out one item and charged the full shipping amount! Customer service was not helpful at all!! Please try to find your items elsewhere. This company is shady!
google avatar

Karen H.

Yelp
This is by far the least friendly kid store I've ever been to. If you bring a kid in here, they give you a nasty look. If your kid touches something, they give you a nasty look. All their merchandise is severely marked up from what you would find online or at a different store. For instance, they blabla dolls are $200+ for the big one but $180 on the blabla website. Just saying...
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
Horrible Customer Service This store has some adorable kids merchandise but I do not know his it stays open with such horrible customer service. Do not shop here if you have any doubt about keeping a product. I bought an expensive cologne during the holidays for my husband. When I went to return it slightly outside of the 7 day window hoping only for an exchange since he didn't like the scent, the saleswoman glared at me. She told me to write my name & number in a notebook, that she would ask the owner and call me back. I explained I used to live in the neighborhood for 12+ years and have shopped there often but now lived outside of town and needed to know that day. Needlesstoday I never heard back. What a waste. You just lost a good customer.
google avatar

Darcie M.

Yelp
Have read earlier reviews and think they have taken the feedback to heart as my experience with them has been warm, friendly and helpful. Everything is very special and I've also had perfect experiences ordering online. Thank you Sarah!

Yelp
I would love to give negative zero stars if I could. haven't felt this unwelcome in a store in a very long time. Simply put and for lack of a more accurate description, the old blonde white lady who works in the store is a condescending bitch. When I shop at a store I want to look around and take my time, especially since I'm shopping for my child; keep in mind there were no other people in the store so it's not like it was a capacity issue. I may not look like much when I get off work due to the fact that I work with animals, however that doesn't mean I deserve to be followed around the store and gruffly asked "do you need something??" just because I want to carefully select What goes in my Easter basket. I hesitantly bought a glitter wand ONLY Because I knew my daughter would love it but I will never give this store my business ever again-I'll also be spreading the word about my experience.

Cathy X.

Yelp
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Placed an order online...when order arrived, I was missing some items although packing slip said they were shipped. Emailed customer service a few times and have yet to get a reply which was 2 weeks ago. Then I decided to Call Customer Service...Waited my turn in call line, only to be disconnected after 30 min. Tried calling again and again..disconnected each time after 30 min. waiting!!!! I am out of options to reach them!!! They have my money and I don't have my items!! BUYER BEWARE

Cooper J.

Yelp
Worst customer service I have ever experienced! Just had a 2nd baby boy and needed a toy truck. I was buying it because I had promised our 3 year old his baby brother would bring him one when he arrived. My sister lives around the corner from Mudpie and I had never been, says it opened at 1030am. So I went and got a coffee next door to "kill time". At about 1030am I saw a lady open the door and go inside. I ran into a friend and spoke to him for a few minutes and at approximately 10:37am I entered the unlocked door of the Mudpie! I politely asked an older lady, "are you open"? She yelled "No! Can't you read! You need to leave"!!!! Talk about unprofessional, disgusting, trashy, classless and appalling customer service! It's funny because the night before my sister and I went to Ten-ichi sushi right up the street the night before and the owner was the best! He has had his business open for 40 years on that street! He was friendly, outgoing, and he actually let us and another couple stay past closing for 15-20 minutes. Had a smile on the whole time ! Shocking, shocking attitude from this lady at Mudpie! Doesn't belong selling anything to children! I'm sorry for ranting about this...but I hope someone reads this and doesn't give any hard earned money to this store! I hope they go out of business! One star is really lucky as negative stars is what they deserve! And by the way....the gift shop at the hospital is closed on weekends so I showed up empty handed! Thanks Mudpie!!

Yelp
* Returns are for STORE CREDIT only. They don't tell you this before purchase and it's not stated anywhere else. * Agree with other reviewers that customer service here is cold. * They're occasionally closed during their stated hours of operation * They do have cute stuff, nice music, and offer lovely complimentary gift wrapping.

Yelp
Never have I had anything but perfect service with unique and elegant gifts. The wrapping is so lovely and adds that special touch for a memorable gift !

Yelp
Unfriendly staff, even the owner Sarah isn't very warm for it being a children's store. Some of the items are unique, others are up the street at Nest, Paper Source, or from the manufacturer for 1/2 the price. Sad but a pass for me.

alex s.

Yelp
I had the misfortune of walking into this store a few days ago. I was there with my son and my mother. The employee working the front of the house was beyond unprofessional, unfriendly and rude. Reading the Yelp reviews seems that that is what they go for. I wrote them a direct email, to which I never heard back. Such a classic move from this arrogant type.

Yelp
So I have to buy my cousin a present because he and his wife created the miracle of life (la di da). My cousin, who was raised primarily in Hong Kong, likes the finer things in life. I don't even know what the finer things in life are, much less where to buy them. But the other day I was watching TMZ while eating dinner off my tv table and I saw that Mrs. Katie Cruise and a bunch of other celebs have gone ga-ga over Little Giraffe blankets. The price was quoted at $50 dollars and I figured that here was a gift that would impress my cousin while not quite breaking the bank, especially if I split the cost with my brother (I know that's cheap, but since I don't plan on ever reaping the rewards or tax breaks of parenthood...). I had Boyfriend ask his boss' wife (gorgeous blond, house in the Marina, you get the pic) where I might be so lucky as to get to pay too much for what is essentially going to be a canvas for baby puke. She suggested Mudpie, revealing a flaw in my strategy- I should have asked someone in my socioeconomic class, or even an adjacent one. I don't care how rich I ever get, I will never pay $70 for a blouse my (imaginary) spawn will spend a mere month wearing. Or $140 for a two-piece. Or $89 for the Little Giraffe blanket for my cousin's non-fictional offspring. And just to add an intensely creepy vibe to this ridiculously overpriced baby boutique- the jaw-droppingly inappropriate bright red toddler-sized bikini. Parents who dress little girls in bikinis should be reported to social services.

Yelp
I live on Fillmore Street and every time I go by this store my 2 year old son wants to go in and 'play.' Unfortunately this is not a kid-friendly toy-store. They do not like kids and seem visibly annoyed anytime I go in with my son. The last time I went in I was looking to buy an item and took it off the shelf, the sales clerk quickly came over to ask me what I was doing and tell me not to touch the merchandise as it might get 'dirty.' Seriously? I will not be shopping at this overpriced boutique again...and from their attitude they don't need or want my business anyways.

Yelp
I've had VERY mixed results at this store. While I love their clothing & toys, my first experience was almost enough to keep me out of there for good. I was shopping with my 2 year old and he found a wooden push toy that we were going to buy (he's wanted one forever). I let him walk around the store with it, and some older woman came up, snatched it out of his hand, and said "may I have that back, I just cleaned it". He handled it well, but I was VERY offended. Who takes a toy away from a 2 year old in a KIDS STORE!?! I didn't say anything, but left VERY angry and vowed to never go there again (especially since some of the prices are way overblown). I live in the neighborhood and just couldn't walk by it anymore without going in. A younger woman helped me select a Halloween costume for my son and 6 month old daughter. She was very nice & helpful. I did see the older lady there again and she was pleasant, but it's sad how one employee's bad behavior can ruin a store for you. If she reads this, please think of asking "are you going to purchase that" before taking a toy from a child.

Yelp
Totally agree with some of these other reviews. This is my first yelp review. This store is SO child unfriendly for being a children's store! I'm very careful with my 4 and 2 year old boys when it comes to stores. They know to be too loud, not to run, and to be careful not to touch things that shouldn't be touched. However, this didn't seem to matter. The employees still seemed annoyed by our presence and glared at me and my children the whole time we were there (especially when my son picked up a PLASTIC truck). My two year old had a bit of a meltdown (which, I'm sorry happens sometimes) which seemed to throw one employee over the edge. She scowled at me and my son and was extremely rude when checking us out (for two very overpriced books I might add). I definitely will not be going back. I shouldn't have to insist my kids whisper and not touch perfectly unbreakable toys in toy store. And I shouldn't have to apologize for shopping for toys with my kids. Totally ridiculous.

Yelp
I am updating my review as the merchant contacted me with an apology & an offer that was very fair. Most of their products are unique. Everything I ordered was delivered promptly & are well-made & good quality.
