It’s a famous Japanese udon shop chain located inside the Mitsuwa Marketplace. They sell udon soup dishes and various rice dishes. You can add various tempura toppings for your dishes at about $2 each. It’s quite authentic Japanese udon and rice dish shop with fast service. They also allow you to add mini rice dishes at lower price as a combo item. One negative about this food court is that they don’t offer free water so you will have to order a drink or grab something at the supermarket. There is a fountain near the bathroom though. Outside seating is available right next to the shop.

Google
Great pick your own tempura and udon. Pretty self-explanatory. They do lunch specials too. It’s inside the Mitsuwa Grocery Shopping Food Court so it’s a pretty busy place, but plenty of inside and outside seating. Can be quite loud and not private at all, but if you come on not meal-rush hours, I’ve found it to be reasonably quiet. Great if you have a budget because you get to pick your own items and each tempura item is under ~$4. Very fresh, flavorful and lots of options. It has more options than I’ve seen at other Japanese tempura places. I especially like the quail eggs (nice and salty). Shrimp Tempura is my standard go to though. I’ve been many many times and will definitely be back.

Google
Udon was done very nicely and the noodles’ texture was spot on. The broth was also very flavorful and on par with what we get back home. The tempura items that you can pick out yourself are still warm and crispy so that a huge plus too. Food court gets crowded but never full to the point where you can’t get a seat. Well worth a visit if you’re at the mall.

Google
The udon is amazing here. Some of the best I’ve ever had. It makes me feel like I’m in Japan all over again!

Fly in side my soup witch was nasty. When eating into my udon soup, I noticed what appeared to look like a sesame sead, but when I looked closer, it was a fly. I informed the gentalm in the registered, and he said no, this is not a fly, so I took out and placed it on a napping, and then he said ooooh! Yeah, that's a fly. So, long story short, the gentalmen said it must have flown in my plate? And refused to offer me a solution. I'm never coming back here, and food was good it was the attitude he had and the actions he did not take. He didn't even say a single sorry. I honestly didn't even ask for a refund. I just wanted a new soup as I felt discussed. Never again.

Google
This place forever diminished my satisfaction of eating out anywhere else; you cannot beat the value, flavor, and portions here. You really dont see fares this light for food this good nowadays. On cold lonely hungry nights i hallucinate a #24 bowl floating around my room calling to me in fluent japanese Dare i say top 2 quick-eats restaurant in a 5 billion mile radius and its not #2

Google
Great restaurant for a quick meal. The food taste fresh and I love their tempura bar. I personally like their tonkatsu udon! Good umami flavor in the broth.

Google
Very good udon noodle soup. We like the soup, great amount of dashi (i think). The tempura stuffs were a bit pricey for me compared to the noodle soup itself.

Yelp
We got here on a Saturday evening and it is located in the Mitsuwa store. We got the O.B.B Ontama beef Bukkake udon (you can choose between regular and large as well as between hot and cold). Once you got your noodle, you can choose what tempura and yakitori you want to add on. We didn't get any tempura but tried all of the yakitori they had available. We really love the yakitori - the chicken skin surprised us the most! It's super crispy and does not feel oily at all! We also love the bacon wrapped quail eggs - very flavorful and nutritious! Staff were super nice and helpful! There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seating areas! Don't forget to return your tray when you are done! There's a window right next to where you line up for you to return!

Yelp
This restaurant is located in the Mitsuwa food court. I got the curry udon. Udon noodles were good, chewy and tasted fresh. However the beef could have been more tender or had more flavor. The broth was a bit watery and lacked the umami flavor that curry udon broth usually has. I also got the pumpkin and shrimp tempura. It was soggy and cold. Tempura should be served crispy and hot, and this was just not it. I wish that the tempura was made fresh to order, or they had a better system of keeping the tempura warm. It's also not cheap here either, so for the price and quality, I'd skip it next time. Was pretty disappointed :(

Yelp
Decent chicken katsu don, but my goodness the yakitori was terrible. Cooked in batches and left at room temperature, the sausage and thigh variants were cold and tough...complete waste of money. The eggplant and squid tempura we tried was mediocre and at least lukewarm. Udon may be good, but no point in going here when Marugame Udon is nearby with superior tempura available there as well.

Yelp
I stopped by Mitsuwa on the way back from a weekend getaway in Rancho Palos Verdes. I like that the Mitsuwa in Torrance del Amo has a very large food court with a wide variety of options. I had already tried Sutadonya last time, so this time I decided to try something different. I initially wanted the tendon with vegetables, but I couldn't substitute the shrimp for vegetables, so I decided instead to get the karaage don with mayo tama, which is karaage on rice with soy sauce, mayo, and a poached egg. The karaage was cooked nicely. The chicken was actually juicy, and not dry like a lot of other places. The mayo and soy sauce went well with the chicken, and the egg helped tie everything together. The price point was very fair, and can't be beat.

Yelp
I always get the Beef Udon when I come and it does not disappoint! The workers are very polite and quick which makes the process nice. There's a good variety of other things to choose from as you go along the line, you get what you payed for/ordered ‍

Yelp
Stopped by on Saturday, 10/28/23 for the first time with my parents during lunch time. Located inside the Mitsuwa marketplace, we ordered the following: - 1 Chicken Katsu Don (#25) = $9.95 - 1Ontama Udon (#3) = $7.95 - 1 Beed Udon (#5) = $9.50 - 2 Shrimp Tempura = $4.30 - 1 Fried White Fish = $1.95 SUBTOTAL = $33.65 TAX = $3.37 OVERALL TOTAL = $37.02 So yummy! This place's ordering style is similar to Marugame Udon. There are a bunch of other foodie places inside too as well as dessert places - so you will remain satisfied!

Yelp
I came here with my mom for lunch around 12:30p on Monday. This is located in the Mitsuwa foodcourt off Carson Street and Del Amo Circle. This was my first time coming to Mitsuwa since it moved from the Western Avenue location some years ago. Considering it's lunch time, the store and foodcourt wasn't as busy as I anticipated. Maybe because it's Monday? When we lined up at Mugimaru, there were maybe just a few people in front of us. My mom and I both got the lunch special ($10.95). The lunch special is a great deal since the 3 sides can be any combination, whether it's onigiri, tempura, fried item or yakitori. I got the kitsune udon with shrimp tempura, shrimp katsu and tsukune. I love the seasoned aburaage (deep-fried tofu?) so kitsune udon is my usual udon go-to. Everything was good, if anything, the tsukune was a bit too grilled.

Yelp
YUM YUM & YUM! This location is inside the mitsuwa market in the del amo fashion mall area. When you get in make a right ! Parking accessible as there's plenty of parking for the market Was here at mitsuwa to try out some donuts & felt like grabbing a quick but small bite . This supermarket gives like food court vibes , which is cool because there's so much seating available for you to dine in . This spot caught my attention as I noticed they had a type of buffet style where you're able to select the items you want which consisted of different veggie tempuras/shrimp/fried fish/chicken skewers so that's what I went for. SO GOOD. I got exactly what I named above including the chicken katsu & chicken breast/thigh skewer. They were all so good especially the skewers! So yummy I regretted not buying 5 :( ! Their menu mainly consists of udon noodles in which I did not try. The fella in here provided nice service as well answered the questions I had of the items I picked out as there was lots of different skewers .

Yelp
-- location -- Inside the Mitsuwa where all the food stalls are (left side as you enter the grocery store) -- menu -- mostly udon options, tempura, some rice dishes, onigiri Sauces are by the cashier: soy sauce, teriyaki, tempura sauce I got the large kitsune udon and my hubby got the Oyakodon. We also added tempura eggplant and tempura shrimp. The udon is given to you promptly at the first window. They warm the noodles, add the main toppings, and fill up with the broth. As for the rice dish, you get a ticket and provide to the cashier. You get a buzzard and retrieve it when ready after. Both main dishes were satisfying. I do prefer the udon over the rice. The kitsune tofu itself was sweeter than I would have preferred however. The rice dish is a good potion size, good amount of chicken, but I was wanting more egg. I did enjoy the amount of sauce they had in the rice dish. Tempura was warm! Nice and crispy. I thought it was also a good size for each item too. -- overall -- good for a relatively affordable, well portioned, quick meal. I also signed up my phone number for rewards and was able to redeem a 20% off then. Total for all was around $19.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to get Udon! Their udon broth is flavorful and the noodles are perfect. The noodles are homemade. I come here often with friends and family for lunch and dinner. I usually order their combo with a side. I usually get mine with an onigri. They have a lot of different sides you can choose from such as a chicken teriyaki skewer or a tempura. They also have other rice dishes besides udon. I haven't tried all of them but I had their Chicken Katsu Oyako Don. It was okay. I just wish the chicken was more crispy and their was more eggs. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good udon place. It's one of my favorites. Note: They are located in the Mitsuwa market at De la amo mall. The food court is to your left. They have other restaurants there as well.

Yelp
I will almost always order katsu don if its on the menu and this place serves this dish PERFECTLY. Good portions, crunchy katsu, soy saucy rice (without being overwhelming). They topped with a lot of green onions which I appreciate a tonnn. I added chili powder on mine and it gave the bowl the perfect amount of kick. Ordering is quick. i also tried their tempura but I'd pass on this next time, they're pretty overpriced in comparison to my $11 katsu don bowl (which is obviously a steal). This is in Del Amo mall's food court so it gets crowded especially on the weekends.

Yelp
Had a great and quick experience here. this is located in mitsuwa so all my friends got food from different places. I got the karaage don and udon to share with a friend along with some fried tempura/sweet potato and it was plenty of food! The udon was very classic/simple and the broth felt light and clean. The karaage don was a little under seasoned for my taste buds but it was also pretty good! The karaage was nice and crunchy and the portion size was great. Dishes were affordable between $5-11 and the food came out within 5 minutes.
google avatar

Jeffrey L.

Yelp
Spicy Tonkotsu udon and limited edition TanTan udon were both delicious. TanTan broth was more thick due to the peanut in it? Not bad for the price of $14/bowl. You can grab additional various fried tempura on the side for extra charge to customize your bowls. Prepared right in front of you, reminiscing of my days in Japan.
google avatar

Audra N.

Yelp
Quick service. Lots of seating for lunch - food court style - inside Mitsuwa connected to Del Amo mall. Good selection. We had the udon and some tempura items - white fish, sweet potato and Shrimp. The total was $16 with a 20oz Diet Coke. All was good. 2 critiques - tempura sauce is too sweet and the udon soup base has great flavor but needs to be hotter.

Yelp
Mugimaru + Torotetsi is located at the foodcourt at the Mitsuwa Marketplace at Del Amo Fashion Center. I went to dinner here unplanned as I was actually planning to get ramen across the way at the popular ramen spot right across from them. Alas' ramen place as not opened yet and Mugimaru caught my eye. It was a rainy So Cal night and hot udon seemed perfect. Their menu consists of different udon, some rice don bowls and curry rice. They also have various tempura that you can choose to get. I got the Spicy Tonkatsu Udon ($9.50 regular size) along with their Tempura Egg ($2). I was fairly impressed with the good prices. Flavorwise; the Spicy Tonkatsu Udon definitely had a good kick to it. The noodles were nice and soft. As for the Tempura Egg; the batter was nice and crisp and I liked pairing it with my udon noodles. I signed up for their rewards at the cashier and I noticed I instantly got points for free shrimp tempura. I definitely recommend signing up for their rewards and earning some points and free food :).
google avatar

Jonny M.

Yelp
Sorry but there's nothing worse than cold tempura in my opinion. Udon noodle themselves were nice but I wish I had stuck with my long stand by Santouko across the way. Norton say the warm shrimp tempura wasn't good- it was but make sure to ask which yakitori is hot or even warm before choosing!
google avatar

Shirley K.

Yelp
I've tried this at the Costa mesa location and loved the karage chicken there. However, I was thoroughly disappointed with everything I had at this location. The soup base for the udon was rather salty and the beef it came with was so dry it crumbled in my mouth. The batter around the shrimp tempura was twice the amount of shrimp and it came out very mushy in the middle. The pork jowl was very dry and tasted gamey and freezer burned. The karage chicken was small and not as big or juicy as I remembered. The aji was also dry. The lunch combo is a great deal. You can choose between 3 different udons and mix and match 3 different appetizers. I was here Friday at around 2pm. I do typically enjoy choosing my sides at this restaurant, so hopefully it was just a bad day.
google avatar

Tracy G.

Yelp
Their food is pretty good. It's just udon, yakitori, and karage bowls etc. I like getting an udon and getting the yakitori items like fish, shrimp, or egg & dipping them in the broth. Staff is always nice. Be prepared for lines especially lunch rush on the weekends, but it goes by pretty fast I guess. Food court gets loud and busy sometimes so if you don't like that you can eat outside or take it to-go.
google avatar

Celine W.

Yelp
Tried Mugimaru and opted for the beef udon. Found it to be pretty standard with nothing particularly standing out. The noodles had a chewy texture, as expected in an udon place. The meal was affordable, making the price-to-quantity ratio appealing. An additional perk was the option to pay for extra side dishes during the ordering process. Mugimaru is conveniently located inside the Mitsuwa Market, offering ample parking.
google avatar

Terri E.

Yelp
They had me at udon. Located inside the Mitsuwa Marketplace in Del Amo Fashion Center. Love the options at the food court but we all pretty much got udon noodles for dinner. I got the Spicy Tonkotsu Udon, because spicy! Kids got beef udon or tonkotsu udon. So many flavors and so tasty! You can go down the food line and add tempera shrimp, veggies or whatever you want too. Nice addition. We sat on the patio which was spacious and a perfect cool breeze kind of day. Everyone enjoyed their noodles. I added extra spice because my food can never be spicy enough. I would highly recommend this spot for a good udon noodle option. The food comes out super fast and everything was great.
google avatar

Ann Q.

Yelp
If you were lucky enough to get the yakitori fresh, then yes it would be worth the price! Unfortunately, on this Saturday afternoon, all but the meatball skewer was cold. Even the tempura was cold. Total for 4 skewers and 1 pumpkin tempura came out to $11.73. left unsatisfied.. chicken and green onions would've been the extra 2 stars had they been fresh. Good flavor but hard and cold.
google avatar

Steven W.

Yelp
Located inside Mitsuwa in Torrance, Del Amo Mall at the food court section. Usually has a line. The price is economical and service is very kind. But the chicken karage that I picked was cold, the pork skewer was way too salty and the beef in my beef udon was very dry.
google avatar

Arman T.

Yelp
These 5 stars are specifically for their kaarage don. Amazingly delicious! Huge portion, generous meat, perfectly cooked egg and it was only less than $10???? Everything was just perfect! Cute location too. Anyway... We also ordered yakitori and it was dry and not that good. I just put a note here without reducing the stars because I love the kaarage don so much.
google avatar

Cheryl T.

Yelp
This review is solely for their tempura. We like to grab a few pieces to munch on with our ramen. The tempura is self serve, and they offer a pretty good variety. Our favorites are the shrimp tempura, lotus root, pumpkin, potato, shishito pepper, and onion. The onion tempura comes on a stick and is fun to eat. The sauce is also self serve to the right of the register. For a big box of tempura, we usually spend about $20. Pretty good for the pieces that we get. The potato croquette isn't the best I've had, but it definitely hits the spot.
google avatar

Kimberly P.

Yelp
If it's your first time at Mitsuwa food court come here!!! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Probably the number 1 spot I go to when I'm here, I love all the combos and options and quick service. The yakitori and tempura selection is great. Even if I just want a tasty snack I come here and always get a few skewers. Today I got a yakitori don which is SOO filling. Could easily share with someone else and get a few of the a la carte yakitori and tempura to share. The price point for everything is so worth it. They really put their whole soul into this craft. They make simple dishes taste incredible and don't take shortcuts.
google avatar

Wai L.

Yelp
Wow that was really really bad. I ordered the spicy tonkatsu udon and some A la carte tempura. The udon was soggy without any texture. The soup base was salty and lacking complexity. The tempura was above average. Overall would not recommend their udon as it is pre-cooked and quickly dipped in boiling water. Very disappointed.

DK H.

Yelp
The broth for the beef udon was very flavorful. I'm usually not a big udon person but this was better than most restaurants. The yakitori and tempura needed to be warmer. Otherwise nice lunch time combo.
google avatar

Emma C.

Yelp
I think overall this is meant for a quick, cheap bite. For the price of 7.15 for a regular Kitsune bowl, it's very affordable. The noodles are cooked well -I also like that they add green onion and tempura flakes. I think that this place does a good job but there is nothing super special about the food. I think it's very similar to the Marugame chain which makes it hard to not compare. I think overall this place is good for a quick meal and something warm.
google avatar

Channel E.

Yelp
Located inside Mitsuwa at Del Amo Mall, I needed something quick for lunch and decided to try out the weekday lunch special. Since I'm avoiding red meat at the moment, I decided to choose the Kake Combo with an egg tempura, shrimp tempura, and one salmon onigiri listed at $9.75. It came out to about $10 something with tax. You have the option of interchanging your side options from onigiris, tempuras, and yakitoris. I could've had the option of a yakitori choice, but I opted for two tempura pieces. However, I did wish I chose a veggie tempura instead of the egg tempura because the egg wasn't soft boiled like I anticipated - it was a hard boiled tempura egg. The udon itself isn't too bad, but I've had better. Overall, the special was not bad for the price with everything you get. The ambiance definitely reminded me of other udon spots. Service was quick and easy.
google avatar

Masae R.

Yelp
Perfect to get your udon fix. Super casual food court in Mitsuwa shopping market. Pick your yakitori or tempura, even onigiri ( rice balls) to add on your udon noodle.
google avatar

Jerry E.

Yelp
Very impressed with this fine udon place located inside the Mitsuwa supermarket. It offers many tasty udon dishes that either rivaled or surpassed the super popular Marugami udon. The best part is that it is only a short wait to be served. Non hesitation in returning whenever I have the urge for udon, while still in the area.
google avatar

Maria E.

Yelp
We ordered take-out/to-go. It's packaged nicely and labeled so you know which noodles go with which broth. I had the Spicy Tonkotsu Udon & I enjoyed it a lot. The accoutrements include cilantro, tempura flakes and green onion. All of these enhance the soup. The Huz had the Chicken Udon and he said it's like an elevated Asian-style chicken soup which he enjoyed a lot. He's not big on spice so this is the perfect dish for him. The First-Born had the Beef Udon and he liked it also. The Youngest wanted to try the Ontama Bukkake Udon which is a dry noodle dish with a runny egg. I'm not sure he realized until the last minute that it didn't come with a broth. He liked it, but just in case you're trying this type of food for the first time, just be aware that some of the dishes are a non-soup. Pay attention to the H-C-N on the menu. H=hot C=Cold and N-Non-soup. We also tried the Chicken Thigh Yakitori with green onion which was flavorful. Service was friendly & prices are reasonable.
google avatar

Ted A.

Yelp
Located in Mitsuwa food court. Decent selection of udon bowls and assorted tempura. I ordered the beef udon which is basic udon soup with beef slices inside. Portion was respectable for the price, ~$10. The beef was flavored well but pretty dry. Also got some sweet potato tempura to put in the soup. Not sure if that's what you're supposed to do but I like it. I usually don't eat udon so I guess this was okay. Service time was reasonable but not fast.
google avatar

Lawrence L.

Yelp
After a basketball tournament, I enjoyed a bowl of udon and tempura. I ordered a small tonkatsu udon and shrimp and eggplant tempura. The udon was tasty and perfectly cooked. The broth had a good flavor and perfectly seasoned as did the pork slices. The tempura was ok. I didn't like that it was not hot but barely warm. I don't get to this area very much but enjoyed the food court in general.
google avatar

Amanda A.

Yelp
Like I mentioned in a past review, I miss the old Mitsuwa. This new Udon place isn't great. I don't hate it but I don't love it either. I got the O.B.B Beef Bukkake Udon along with adding an egg on the side. I thought it was free hence the picture, but you have to actually add it on the side for another $1. It was an okay soup. There's just no creativity with the toppings. That's what would really grab my attention with an Udon restaurant. I mainly go to Mitsuwa to try out different Japanese foods and restaurants. This one is a place I wouldn't come back to. I'll stick with Ramen Santouka. 3 stars because the food was still decent and I got a 20% off coupon for signing up for their rewards program.
google avatar

Tracy L.

Yelp
Came on a Tuesday during lunch hour. Ordered the beef udon combo that comes with 3 pieces of any sides. The beef was old and over cooked. The broth was good but a bit salty. I got a white fish tempura, chicken katsu and pork jowl, all of which were good. Service was bare minimum at most. Overall, I'll probably just come to get the sides.
google avatar

Thomas H.

Yelp
One of the many delicious food vendors that is located inside Mitsuwa Marketplace. This place specializes in light, flavorful, and quite affordable large bowls of delicious udon. Would definitely recommend this place especially to first-timers.
google avatar

April B.

Yelp
It's located in the food court area of a mitsuwa supermarket in the Torrance mall. I love the udon there, it had great texture and I get to have yakitori as well as tempura. Service was amazing and the ambiance is nice. It's in a food court, there are other places to eat as well but if you want udon, this is the place to go.
google avatar

Mary L.

Yelp
Absolutely love the authentic flavors here. Inside the Del Amo Fashion Center Mall is Mitsuwa Japanese Grocery Store and there's a very delicious food court with Japanese foods. Entire shopping mall is huge. Much larger than the typical Westfield shopping malls you find in the San Francisco Bay Area. Japanese bookstore next door. Very convenient. It's the perfect location and easy walk back to the hotels. Smaller Korean & Japanese grocery stores are in surrounding plazas across the streets too. Must love. I've been wanting to try the udons here. Everything is 100% good tasting and considered cheap in pricing. My regular kake udon bowl was $5.65 Chicken udon regular was $7.80. Each teriyaki or tempura on a stick were $1.90-$2.50 on average. Super fresh & delicious at this price point. Udon fans will enjoy it. Note, portions are not huge, but very fulfilling and tasty for each person. Grab a tray, order the udon noodles, select the side dishes, and pay at the far right end counter. Credit cards accepted. Tables & chairs are usually very full and busy for hours, but outdoor seating is spacious. Fast efficient workers. Condiments on far right end. Yes, we plan to be back again for sure. Great foods in the food court.

Yelp
I've been back several times since my first review, and my experience has always been great. I think the problems I experienced previously were probably due to the fact that they were new and still working out the kinks. But for my many visits since then, the noodles have always been cooked well, and the selection of sides have been good as well. Additionally, the staff are always fast, helpful, and friendly.
google avatar

Kalai C.

Yelp
Really quick udon spot in a food court area of Mitsuwa. I was slightly disappointed with the beef in the beef udon since I was expecting a more fatty beef. It looks like they used the tough, low grade shabu shabu beef (that you can buy at Mitsuwa). It's not bad, but not the type of beef I was expecting in beef udon. Opposed to the udon, I actually preferred their yakitori and tempura. I think it could've been a combination of me ordering an hour towards closing but the noodles seemed a little staler than what I'm used to. Maybe next time I'll just order tempera and yakitori since that was much fresher. The staff are really quick and attentive; the whole order to checkout was fast.

Yelp
Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - Kitsune udon with sweet potato. Udon was cooked well and still had some great chewiness. The soup was great and I was able to finish the whole thing! The tempura crumbs can make the soup a bit oily so will ask for it on the side the next time. The sweet potato tempura was amazing with crunchy exterior and soft interior Ambience: N/A - location was in the Mitsuwa food court Service: 5/5 - quick and friendly. The window to get the udon was efficient and they ask if you want green onion or fried tempura crumbs. Then you can select other sides to the right of the window Value for price: 5/5 - meal under $8 that is delicious and filling!

Yelp
Meh My wife felt like some noodles so we went here. I noticed it had a short line at the food court which sort of isn't a great thing. Not horrible. Not great. Average food Had to remind the cashier I asked for a drink .. as she took the credit card and did not give me a drink. There are better choices in the food court.

Yelp
7/31/2021 Read good reviews on this place, so wanted to try. SPICY TONKOTSU UDON Read a review on this, so wanted to try. The broth did not look good. The udon was the instant kind that is harder and not chewy at all. The udon is straight up from a instant udon noodle bowl! The broth did have that spicy tonkotsu flavor, yet it was not done well. I wish I could have thrown out the whole bowl! KAKE UDON The broth was a lot cleaner and better than the Spicy Tonkotsu Udon. The broth is what you expect it to taste like. It's not the absolute best broth, but still better than the other udon bowl I've had. However, they have also used the same udon noodles as the other udon bowl. TEMPURA It was crunchy and overall was not bad. It wasn't freshly made, but it was still crunchy and still good. Muuuuch better than the udon bowls we've had. Not sure why there are high reviews. Where are they all coming from?? Regret eating here period. Will not be back again!

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick lunch and to check out the new mitsuwa. Got the Ontama Udon, chicken thigh, pork jowl, and chicken skin yakitori. And the karaage. Udon- soup base was flavorful, noodles and egg perfectly cooked. Yakitori- chicken thigh was juicy, chicken skin nicely grilled and crispy, pork jowl was a bit hard to eat off the stick but once off the stick it was nicely salted and chewy. Karaage- very juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Definitely recommend this. Excited to try other items! I do wish there were more options of tempura and yakitori though.

Yelp
Service from the manager is horrible, the first time i go there my daughter got food poisoning from the seafood broth. I had to take her to the emergency hospital. I asked the manager and he said it was fresh. It wasnt and the food was old. I will never go there again. I would not recomomend this place to anyone.

Yelp
Mitsuwa food courts never disappoint.. Was craving udon and this bowl was extremely satisfying. Tempura was also good.

Yelp
I was extremely hungry after having a long morning, so I ordered a chicken katsu Don and this was DELICIOUS. They did take a while to prepare and make this order (about 10mins), so prepare to wait longer if you're already extremely hungry. Though I did enjoy this since it was nice a flavorful as well as the rice on the bottom! This is located inside Mitsuwa at the Del Amo Fashion Center!

Yelp
I'm surprised this place doesn't have better reviews because I genuinely enjoyed the food here! I stopped by Mitsuwa on a Saturday and Mugimaru had no line. I love how many options they have (feel like it's more than Marugame). I went with the spicy tonkatsu and got some tempura on the side. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were a great texture. I especially loved my tempura shishito pepper. Maybe I'm not well-versed in Japanese cuisine but I hadn't seen that before. Overall, a super great meal that I look forward to having the next time I'm in Mitsuwa.

Yelp
I had Mugimaru udon in Taiwan two months ago. It was the best udon I've ever had. This is the worst. The soup is too salty and the udon is too hard.
