I heard that MUJI stands for “made under Japanese influence” and it seems to be true. This store offers a variety of Japanese products: clothes (men’s and women’s), cosmetics, household goods, travel essentials, snacks and sauces, cleaning supplies, storage containers, bedding, and my personal favorite: unique stationery. Muji pens are the best and I have one in every color. I also really like the sticky notes, masking tape, mini scissors, and pencil cases. The clothes are good quality and boast Japanese style (overfitted, boxy, muted colors, conventional). They also offer pajama sets and undergarments. The interior design of this store is brilliant with products hanging aesthetically from the ceiling and very precise attention to detail with the displays. The layout of the store feels like a maze with its tall ceiling and towering shelves, but the atmosphere is peaceful and calm. I highly recommend visiting Muji if you are looking for minimalistic lifestyle or high-quality, reasonably-priced home goods. I love this store.

Google
Such a peaceful and relaxing vibe in this store. So many amazing things to browse through and buy. Can’t recommend it enough.

Google
Beautiful store with a wide variety of merchandise, including clothes, house essentials, dishes, coffee drinks, ect. I watched a robot who called himself Jarvis make me a matcha latte.

My wife and I discovered Muji while in Barcelona, Spain. When we found out there was a store in Portland we had to go. They have a great variety of clothes, school supplies, linens, bags, house wares, etc. The most fun thing was watching the robot make a cappuccino for me!

Just popped into the MUJI in downtown Portland while wandering around to escape the heat. It’s a one-level store with a decent selection of cool stuff. Found everything I needed on my own since no staff came up to me while I was browsing. Nice little spot to cool off and check out some neat items.

Google
Suchhh a cute store! They have everything from kitchen ware, clothes, furniture, storage, bathroom necessities, and really good quality pens. I always go here before I go back to school to stock up on pens! Everything there is such good quality! 10/10

Clothing and items at this store are always top of the line quality. I love the clean minimalism of the aesthetic and always appreciate the thoughtful design and mindfulness of their staff. Must visit if you’re a minimalist who invests in quality products and well made clothing

Google
MUJI is a Japanese clothing and home goods chain. The store in Downtown Portland is the only location on the West Coast, as the company closed all of the Californian stores during the COVID pandemic. Having visited MUJI stores in Asia, I would say the selection in Portland is not as extensive. The clothing and home goods selection is comparable, but it is very noticeable that the food selection pales in comparison and is priced a lot higher. The store does have a unique offering as it has a robot barista in store making automated drinks. Judging the product offerings, I will say that the clothing is of good quality and sold at affordable price points. If you like UNIQLO, MUJI is a nice alternative that you might like as well. It is also a good place to peruse if you like clothing with no logos. In addition to clothing, I like their pure essential oils though they are pricey. As for food items, they carry a selection of products from Kuze Fuku which is a Japanese specialty food brand that manufactures their products in Oregon that are worth trying. Although the selection is not as extensive as their Asian stores, I do think the Portland MUJI is worth visiting as they have some unique offerings to make up for it.

Yelp
I love Muji and was happy to find that there's a store right here in Portland. They have a good variety of clothing and home goods here and even a robot barista. I would call this a medium size store compared to the ones I have been to in Japan. I love the quality of clothing here and the price reflects it. It's not cheap but the quality of the clothing does justify the higher pricing. My daughter loves the clothes here as well, we buy all her lounging and "home clothes" from here. She loves their skincare and they have the cutest section for pens and stationary. I wish there was a cafe here, but there is only a tiny one for coffee and tea. There is no parking, we usually find metered parking on the street and there are parking garages nearby. A lot of times the smaller sizes are sold out, but you can usually find what you are looking for online if you can't find it in the store.

Yelp
mebbe it's because california no longer has any muji stores, but i truly did miss her -- i remember purchasing saur many pens for ap classes to take notes; the best gel pens from 0.35 to 0.5!! lov the stationary as well as the furniture and smol snacks... and the ai robot at the artly cafe was really cool ! affordable for some things but unusually priced for others imo

Yelp
I love having a MUJI store in Portland! Every time I come to this store I always end up buying something whether it's clothes, snacks, home goods or stationary. The 0.38 pens are my favorite pens for home and work and they come in so many different colors. The customer service is usually not very good, but everything is fairly priced in this store and I'll continue to shop here! It's in downtown Portland so you'll need to find street parking or use a parking garage if coming by car. It's within walking distance of lots of hotels, restaurants and lots of other stores to shop at.

Yelp
Where I live, in Vancouver, BC, there are MUJI stores, so I was fairly familiar with this store just upon entering it. The store layout and merchandise is all quite familiar to me (although I admit, this store is larger than most MUJI stores I'm used to). The clothing and items are well made, of quality materials, and the layout of the store is quite organized. The store pallettes and finishes are all of a sparser Japanese aesthetic, and I admit, I'm quite attracted to this type of clean, unadorned look. Neither my daughter nor I needed anything, really. We weren't here to buy anything. My daughter brought me here to see Jarvis. Who is Jarvis, you ask? (Well, I certainly asked!). Jarvis is a robotic barista. When my kid told me this, I thought she was pulling me leg (as she is known to do. I'm quite gullible). But no, there really IS a robotic barista here, making coffees - some rather complicated, too! - and it is a sight to behold. My kid used to be a barista when we lived in Seattle, and even she admitted, Jarvis makes a helluva good cup o' Joe. Everything at this coffee station is automated. You place your order in a laptop-like monitor, you can watch Jarvis do his thing, there's never any spillage, all ratios of all drinks are spot-on perfect, and you can see the progress of your drink's completion by way of an illuminated circle on the bar top with your name in lights beneath it. When your drink is done, Jarvis places it perfectly by your name. It's quite the show! And the drinks are always perfect. How very Japanese!

Yelp
Muji is an amazing store for everything from clothing and stationery to kitchenware and travel accessories. It's one of my go to shops in Portland and absolutely worth a visit.
google avatar

Yelp
I love Muji for its pens and simplicity - esp if you have travel needs. High quality for an affordable price. Service is friendly and checking out is seemless. Inside is clean and large with selections from bedding to clothing to the infamous pens we all love and know!

Yelp
It's a really beautiful store. We thankfully visited the San Francisco location before it closed, but this location in PDX is so much bigger! It's a whole experience coming to this location and sincerely have no complaints (not that I was expecting any to begin with). There was an additional coffee shop inside as an added bonus if you need a pick me up while shopping inside.

Yelp
This one star review is for Francisco, the customer sales representative who checked us out. After noticing we were overcharged by 15% on one item purchased once we saw the receipt, we went back and showed him and he said "Well if you want to get the money back you'll have to line up again." That was his first response. Not I'm sorry. Not "Oh that's not right. Let me fix it." Instead it was immediately defensive. When I asked why I would need to line up again, he said it was because it wasn't "his fault. It just rang up that way." Sales Customer Representative 101: when you're an employee and you scan an item and it overcharges the customer, yes. It is your fault on behalf of the store. Francisco was then insistent on me lining up again, and so I did. Not wanting to cause a scene. When it came to my turn again I got Francisco as a rep again (karma sucks sometimes doesn't it?). He immediately looked at me, rolled his eyes, then said "I can't help you. You'll have to wait for a manager." I asked him what was the point of lining up again? A manager could've helped out previously. Finally Devon a sales manager came to the rescue and was professional and kind. He immediately checked out receipt to confirm the error and said what Francisco NEVER said. Which is "Oh I'm sorry about that." And quickly processed the refund. I don't want to get this person fired. But he definitely needs a few training sessions in how to handle issues and problems that arise in customer service. Francisco was unprofessional, dismissive and never once seemed to realize that he's representing a fantastic company. Next time, do better please when you overcharge a customer. When the tag says one price and the computer rings it up as a higher price, that's a system / product representation error and should be rectified as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Yelp
Look, I have shopped pretty extensively in Asia but had never been here. I expected something like Uniqlo but fancier. What I found was candidly a lot of gender neutral, boxy outfits that I don't know whether they'd look good on anyone. Perhaps this is in style, but I expected to find a few things I could wear for a trip to NYC and upcoming job interviews and I didn't find anything. It's worth noting, no one asked if I needed any help despite me looking around for 10-15minutes.

Yelp
I stumbled upon MUJI when Google Maps suggested Artly as I was searching for a coffee shop near Pioneer Courthouse Square. Intrigued by the robot, I decided to give it a try. The menu offers an expansive selection of espresso and tea beverages, including classics like the cappuccino and more unique offerings like the rose latte. I placed my order of a matcha latte with oat milk on the tablet, and my order was added to the queue with two customers ahead of me. I ended up waiting about ten minutes for my beverage since the robot ran out of milk (and required human intervention), but I wasn't in a rush and spent the time browsing the rest of the store. When it was ready, my matcha latte tasted like it was prepared by an expert barista - it was smooth, creamy, and subtly sweet. While I'm not sure if this is the future of coffee shops, I definitely enjoyed the experience.

Yelp
During my visit, I needed two items that were essential to my lodging. MUJI has a very welcoming store front. Filled with stylish decorations fit for the holiday or season. The prices can fluctuate on cheap to why-is-this-so-expensive really quickly depending on what you are here to for. Luckily the items I were looking for fell under the cheap umbrella and I was able to find one for them on sale. The other item I was looking for was a bit more difficult so I had asked a staff member for assistance. They were very friendly and helped me search for this item but they did not appear to have stock. The good news is I left without spending more than needed on exactly what I wanted. I would definitely visit again for my next stay.

Yelp
A nice place for browsing housewares and clothes. Your go-to stop if your ascetic is pale, natural neutrals.

Yelp
I'm so glad that there is a MUJI in Portland because we don't have one in California. This MUJI store is huge! It reminds me of the flagship store in Hong Kong where they have apparel, home goods, stationary, and snacks! I love the minimalistic vibe of their products. Things are just simple, clean, and functional. Prices are super affordable and the quality is great! Definitely check out MUJI if you've never been, and if you have been before, check this location out!
google avatar

Kendra B.

Yelp
The service was great! The store has a HUGE selection. You might find yourself in here for an hour or two just to look at everything.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
The Muji locations in CA have all closed so it was a nice surprise to find the one in Portland. Much more organized and a larger spot than even some locations in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Thailand. Full range of clothing, travel accessories, home goods, health care, containers, stationary, and more. There's also an Artly robot barista station inside which was fun to watch.
google avatar

Yelp
R.I.P to Muji in the Bay Area. This Muji is HUGE. Offering the entire Muji catalog instead of just stationaries. They also have dressing rooms! The staff are helpful and kind. The door greeters definitely have preferences on who they greet.

Yelp
A place of absolute possibilities. I love the supply section, the pens notepads, coffee area. EVERYTHING!

Yelp
I am so happy to see Muji in Portland, Oregon. The shop is very clean and nicely organized. There are clothing, home items, and stationery. If you value simple design that Japanese embraces, you love this place. It is very cool to see the robot makes a coffee and tea. Unfortunately it takes a little bit longer to make a coffee than human does tho.
google avatar

Rashi T.

Yelp
The first time I went to Muji was the day they opened . I was walking past during my lunch hour and saw a really long line around the block (pre-Covid), curiosity got the better of me and I went in. The space is very warm and welcoming and I love the muted color palette of the store . I love that their philosophy revolves around minimalism , recycling, reducing production and packaging waste .Apart from the plethora of household items ,clothes, beauty products, bedding ,stationary they also do alterations , embroidery and have a cute coffee spot , a section of plants and some selected treats and snacks . Prices are all over the place ,some are very reasonable priced some expensive . I love the whole process of looking through things and experiencing the different textures and smells at this store . The staff is professional and not overbearing at all . Parking is a challenge and I would highly recommend parking at one of the Smart parks and just walking over .
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
I love Muji! It has a very minimalistic and earthy aesthetic. They're known to have an emphasis on natural origins and recycling, which I support. The store is quite big and is well organized. They sell clothes/shoes (both men and women), stationery, small trinkets, travel bags, skincare, essential oil diffusers, housewares, and even snacks/drinks. They also had a coffee-making robot, which you can order from! Personally, I am a big fan of their stationary. They have 0.38mm pens, which I didn't know I needed in my life. :) Prices are pretty reasonable for the most part. There is a small fitting room for those who need it, but no bathroom in the store. The staff are professional and check out was easy. The music and scent of the store were also not offensive, in my opinion. When I went, they were using the diffusers and you can smell the eucalyptus as soon as you step in. The store is located in a busy part of Portland, so parking was harder to find.

Yelp
Cool spot for Japanese designed items. The robot coffee station attracts a ton of people. I find the packaged food items such as sauces, noodles, tea, etc. to be super alluring. And the fabric of their clothing items are typically pretty natural and skin friendly as well.

Yelp
Stayed away for as long as I could because I knew I'd have no will power. I was right! This store speaks to me! Living in a condo with little storage, the design of their bath, closet, kitchen items is ideal. Simple, streamlined and stylish. Upon entering, you are immediately immersed in their Zen environment with wooden beams, white industrial ceiling, neutral colors of cream, gray, navy surrounding you. To the left is the office area where you are encouraged to try out the pens and stamps; journals and writing tablets everywhere, even hanging from the ceiling. I bought a narrow gray case to keep my iPad and Samsung cords and chargers; for $5 it makes my life so much easier. The closet area contains cloth and wire baskets of all sizes, hangers, hooks and more. They were having a sale on their cleaning system which consists of a pole that extends with different attachments - a squeegee, mop, scrub brush, swifter type sponge - and you could buy any three for $10. That was the first item to go in my basket! Genius. The bath and bed area had lotions, soaps and cleansers all in neutral colors, bed linens and towels, and items I didn't think I needed until I saw them! They had a small, tiny single toothbrush holder. Took up only the space required to balance the toothbrush. That in a nutshell is MUJI. I passed on that item because I don't like anything on my bath vanity, choosing for sanitary reasons to keep my toothbrush in the drawer, but I still thought it was genius. They had a small section of Japanese treats and since I'm a marshmallow junkie, I had to buy a bag of tiny marshmallows. They had strawberry and chocolate flavors, even though they are white, but I stuck with vanilla. They have some of Japanese milk breaks, chocolate covered Cheetos (which I was too afraid to try) and a variety of crackers. Plus a coffee and tea bar. The clothing is very neutral, monochromatic, boxy and gender neutral. Mens, women's, kids, it all looked the same. The manager told me they recently changed the sizing to match US rather than the presumed smaller Japanese sizes. But since the clothing is so boxy, you can easily size down. Tried in a long denim jacket and I was swimming in the a Small. They do alterations on site; $5 to hem. Make sure to check out the travel accessory wall for neck snuggies, cord holders, bags of every size, travel size lotion bottles and cases - all in navy, black or cream. Oh, and they even have a room filled with houseplants that adds to that Zen feel. Customer service was great. One of the items I wanted was not available so he sold me the floor sample and gave me a discount without me asking or even wanting. Just wish there was parking by the store since downtown is sometimes a bit seedy to walk through. And I live there! MUJI is located in the Meyer and Frank building on SW 5th which doesn't allow street parking. I was there on a Sunday so it was easy to get a spot 2 blocks away, but during the week it would be challenging. Haven't shopped in a store like this since I was in a Japan, and also when I am in Hawaii. MUJI is a great addition to Portland and based on the crowd that was there late in a Sunday, I think they are here to stay.

Yelp
Where you want to go if you're ready to #KonMari your home or office... this place has so many organizing options in simple, clean lines and basic colors. The same can be said about the clothing line for men and women. Simple designs and soft fabrics. Then there's all the aromatherapy, from essential oils to soaps, bath gels, facial cleansers, toner and moisturizers. Plus makeup applicators, bathroom supplies, you name it seems like they have it! A coffee bar inside offers pastry options as well as packaged tea cakes, cookies, candy and other sweets. Simply not enough time to look at everything, plan accordingly!
google avatar

Linda A.

Yelp
I have never been to a Muji before, but I am really glad I went to this one! I obviously had to have a robot make me an iced yuzu matcha, and it was very good! Since I was traveling and flying out the next day, being able to purchase inexpensive necessities (like a mini lint roller and face blotting papers) was very helpful! I really appreciated the prices and if I had more room in my luggage, I would have bought some of the shirts I had my eye on! The clerk was very nice, too! Overall, an excellent experience!
google avatar

Yelp
Simple neutral color scheme of the unassuming variety store and products misleads you in realizing how much there really is in the store until you start browsing and keep shopping because so many things catch your eye. Many clever well designed products at reasonable prices. Might need to buy one of their nice bags to carry the unanticipated loot home. 5* Also have... Coffee futuristic robotic arm automated to make coffee $5 Alterations Closed now but usually offered for certain MuJi pants bought within 30 days with receipt $3 Embroidery choose from 300 designs @$3 each to add embroidery to T-shirts, bags etc. 5 days turnaround time from Friday, Saturday or Sunday start time. Free Gift Bag Sealing Service 1. Choose & pay fir gift. 2. Customize bag/items with stamps 3. Staff will seal the bag Located -near NW corner of 5th Ave & Morrison St -1 block east of Pioneer Courtyard Square

Yelp
The best way to describe this awesome store is that it's a Japanese combination of H&M and IKEA. Since it's reportedly the largest Muji on the west coast, this store is huge! They have a great range of mostly Japanese originated items from journals, organizers, clocks, clothes and shoes, toiletries, snacks, and much more. Most everything is unbranded, but that doesn't mean the quality is lacking. You can also create your own stamp, or grab a hot beverage at their drink station. Though many of the items are quite expensive ($49.00 for a sweater for example), you can definitely find reasonably priced things under the $10 mark. It was neat to see many of the price tags were also written in Korean and Mandarin. One other thing to note is that I did not see any XL+ sizes in the women's clothing, or undergarments, so if you're a bigger woman they might not have anything you can wear. [Purchased]: Apple Cake ($3.50)- Very soft and delicious snack. Laundry Mesh Bag ($3.50)-- Good quality bag to securely wash your smaller delicates in. Black Semi-Sleeve T-Shirt ($10.50)-- Was originally $15.00, but I got it on sale for 30%. Fits very well. [Wait time]: Because it was the grand opening, I waited about 20 minutes just to get into the store. [Service]: Great, the employees were mostly welcoming despite how hectic it was in the store. [Cost(s)]: $$

Yelp
A nice, minimalist store to visit with nice staff. If you're there, I recommend purchasing a drink from their cafe.

Yelp
Do you enjoy everything Japanese? Do you want to pretend to take off your shoes, have miso soup for breakfast and possibly read a manga or two? If your answer is yes, than this it the store for you. It has stationery, clothing, home goods, essential oils and did I mention stationery? Yes, I might have spent a little more time than necessary trying out all the pens. Sorry for staring at the employee guy putting the pens back in order, seemed such a Japanese thing to do. Everything is super simple. None of the crazy kawaii look. It's more an Ozu feel, all beige, blues and whites. That said, if you're into simple functional aesthetics, this store will be your heaven. Even if you're not into Japanese simplicity, it's a nice store to have downtown. Prices are nice, nothing to crazy expensive. It's fun wandering through the store an imagining what you would need to fill your 2 tatami apartment.

Yelp
Aesthetically pleasing with a wide store layout, open floor plan of various sections- homegoods, travel, kitchen, clothing, beauty. stationary, organization, and even food! I first though there would be multiple floors but that was not the case, a open layout for one to browse and take in the store at one's own pace. The simplicity minimal style seemed to be high quality, really reminded me of Marie Kondo. It was fun browsing all the sections from trying cheese cream cracker samples, to the stationary section, and fragrances. The stamps for stationary were fun, and many designs for all ages Lots of various seasonal promotions and events going on for Valentine's Day (make cards) and Lunar New Year (discounts from 10-30%). I wouldn't mind just stopping in and spending some time here but not sure how often I'd come in with the intention of purchasing an item.

Yelp
This is more than just a store, it's an EXPERIENCE. When you walk in, you are greeted by the sweet herbal smell of essential oil blends and probably the first thing you notice when you walk up the stairs is the beautiful glass bottle lighting dangling from the ceiling. All of the aisles in the store are constructed out of giant wood beams that tower overhead, reminiscent of an ancient temple. Soothing piano music plays quietly as you explore. The minimalist aesthetic accented with hints of Japanese culture makes for a must-see location. They provide custom embroidery services for their clothing, which I thought was very unique. The display of essential oil blends, with health benefits of each listed on the labels, was very tempting. They had a wide array of household items, from soup bowls to bathroom shelving. Their stationary and office section was my favorite. After you purchase a notebook, they have an area with dozens of ink stamps so you can customize the cover. Very fun! Whether you're shopping or just looking, this store is a MUST SEE! (Also, would be good for Instagram photos, if that's your thing.)

Yelp
Excited to visit. Heard first branch in the US. It's a great Japanese department store. They sell some nice clothings. They sell some Japanese treat. Best part are the Japanese pens and stationery. Definitely try to visit when you are near Pioneer Mall.

Yelp
Their first store in the Pacific Northwest! This is MUJI's second-largest retail space in the country. It's in the old Meier & Frank Building! The company was founded in Japan in 1980 and now has stores in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In support of local businesses, MUJI will partner with a rotating list of local coffee roasters to offer an in-store coffee service. "Everything from cleaning supplies, to garments, to stationery." Check my photos...

Yelp
This Muji location is probably one of the biggest I've been to in the US, they even have a custom embroidery bar! They have a ton of items and it's also super clean and organized. I've been to other Muji's and they are definitely very consistent, everything about Muji is so aesthetic and minimalistic. They have almost everything you can think of for your home and even some things you didn't know you needed. They have storage essentials, clothes, kitchen items, luggage, stationary, bedding, and more. The color palette of their items are pretty neutral so they fit almost any aesthetic. I came to pick up a few things during my stay in Portland and they are handling the pandemic restrictions very well. They have hand sanitizer provided for customers and markings on the floor to promote social distancing. The staff were all wearing masks and wiping down counters in between customers. They were pretty friendly and were happy to help with whatever questions customers have. I only have positive feelings about Muji and haven't had a bad experience at any location. I would highly recommend checking out their clearance sections as you can always find something awesome. If I lived in Portland I would come here all the time and I would definitely utilize the custom embroidery options.

Yelp
Such a cool store! It was a cross between, daiso, Uniqlo, and container store. The store is based on high quality basics and I could sense it right away. I love that you can get items personalized. The only downside is that it takes a few days to be completed so not so good for tourists. The robot coffee maker, Jarvis, was definitely a highlight of going to Muji.

Yelp
Only took a 1000 mile jaunt from LA to Portland for me to discover MUJI! Even though I have three locations in my city, I'd never been in and I'm not sure if I'm disappointed that I've been missing out or happy that I've saved the funds that I inevitably would've spent thus far. This place is a dream--think H&M meets UNIQLO but higher quality and without labels. They've got way more than just clothes, too! Homewares, stationery, fancy things for your bathroom, even a coffee bar. I could peruse all day! Now, the coolest thing about MUJI (that I think also might be unique to this location specifically) was the custom embroidery bar. You can pick out a shirt, sweater, bag, etc and have them embroider a cool design (or a name, initials, whatever) right there onsite. I had a rose added to the pocket of a t-shirt and while it normally takes 1-3 business days, Stacy was awesome and got it done within an hour or so. The total cost? $5 for the shirt and $3 for the rose. Such a steal and a totally fun/easy way to make a gift more unique. Props also to the coffee bar onsite which served a killer americano and had a darling "MUJI BINGO" card with cute to dos on it. I picked up some pens, socks, and the aforementioned shirt (plus scored a free notebook!) while I was here but believe me, I could've done way more damage had my suitcase allowed. Excited to check out the locations in my neck of the woods!

Yelp
Large Muji in a busy part of Portland! They had a special kokedama sale, which was really cool - celebrating their anniversary or something. If there's something you need from Muji, this is probably one of your best bets in the area and then some. For example, there's also a cafe. All in in all, a large selection of goods in each of their departments.

Yelp
nice atmosphere. it did preview the death of labor with its automated coffee bartender thing who said, "excellent choice," to every single order with a masculine voice. he's a machine, he doesn't know what coffee even tastes like, let alone whether or not it's excellent. it should just say, "you made a choice." anyway, i got a notebook. i tried on a pair of jeans labeled "M". im like, 69.69 inches and about 180 lbs. that's pretty medium in my book. so i was shocked when the pants made me feel like a clown. the waistband was probably twice the circumference of my waist and the legs could fit like, three legs inside. so idk who's doing the sizing for these pants but call it "M" for Massive. they were also selling seasonal wallets as a gift for xmas. they were, on average, $2400. japanese leather. dyed with the finest colors. completely outside of my purchasing power. the lady who introduced them said that my doraemon mask was cool. great customer service.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS STORE. It has a cool, minimalist aesthetic yet overflowing with so many options. The simplicity of their apparel down to their stationary is appreciated. They also had some wonderful aromatherapy air misters. The pricing is a little hard to gage. Some things were surprisingly cheap while others were quite pricey. Friendly counter girl in the aromatherapy counter showed me all the different scents and diffusers, I was ready to buy ALL OF THEM! My new favorite store!

Yelp
Love the cool things they have. Especially the pens. Just found out the pen refills are interchangeable. Wow. Even better.

Yelp
Meh. Not much for us there. Very little variety and very few size options. If you aren't small and thin, or don't like to wander around adults playing with stamps sticker things, search elsewhere.

Yelp
This afternoon, I finally ventured to Muji. (I work just up the street.) I have partially stayed away because I knew I would spend too much money here. Well, I'm happy to say, I made it out of the store having spent less than $20. The store is gorgeous. Clean design, well-stocked yet open. This isn't a store filled with Sanrio products. Instead, Japanese-inspired housewares, bath and personal products, stationery, clothing, lots of nice-smelling things. Not sure what I rubbed on my hands, but it sure smells nice and fresh! I ended up with some writing/sketching supplies, a lovely porcelain mug, and a couple of personal care odds and ends. I see great potential for finding holiday gifts here. If you want a Muji bag, you will need to pay five cents. I had no problem doing so, since I always reuse my paper shopping bags. The service was efficient and pleasant. The store was well-staffed, so I didn't wait long in line. Keep in mind, some of the stations are card only. They are well-marked as such. The clerk wrapped and bagged my items very nicely. Just a special touch I appreciate. The store is connected to The Nines hotel, so you'll be browsing alongside a lot of tourists. You can sample the plethora of pens, which encourages some people to linger a little too long and take up space. That's a minor, personal gripe, however. If you're looking to go old school and do some shopping downtown this holiday season, I highly recommend making Muji part of your outing. Kinda fun giving gifts with Made in Japan stickers on them!

Yelp
I love everything Muji, this one has a cafe with coffee only, serve by a robot barista. In the front of the store has a staff that can custom mix your essential oils. A bit over priced and not much selection compared to the ones Asia

Yelp
I've never been in a MUJI store before, and it looked wonderful and I want to go back! it was so organized and clean! If I wasn't over for a short weekend trip I would have bought a lot from this place! their items were so simple and defined. It reminds me of a high end Daiso store with great quality products for the house and home! Instead of those large items, I just bought from their AI coffee server inside! I saw a coffee shop inside and thought, "Oh, that's nice." I looked again and realized a robot was making the drinks! I looked and saw this awesome machine make the drink, say my name, and prep and serve the drink in front of me. It became a sort of show for onlookers in the store. It got me! Coffee businesses beware, Jarvis is coming!

Yelp
Instagram's @MrPhilStrickComedy didn't like this store but my Wife, never wanted to leave. Nice storage ideas and set up. Definitely buying stuff, I'm sure, according to my Wife. I bet

Yelp
Japanese design clothing store with fair prices and quality. There is not much in sales assistance. You're pretty much on your own. It's been too soon for me to evaluate on the quality after easing and drying.

Yelp
This store is immaculate. I bought 3 items from here a few years ago, they're all still in perfect condition.

Yelp
What's all the hype about? Do people not feel like they're being manipulated when a store is trying to sell minimalism? How ironic. I'm not much of a shopper, but I work nearby so I stopped by to see what it's all about. The store is very aesthetically pleasing and from the outside I felt like I was gonna love it! But the store is full of gadgets and gizmos that don't appear to have much use. Their clothing selection is strangely bland and this comes from a person who considers gray to be an exciting color. Long story short, I don't get it.

Yelp
I recently moved downtown and have been frequenting Muji almost on the daily- it's in a convenient location, both by the MAX & public parking garages. It's always clean & the clothes are always hung on the right size hanger. I've also never seen anything hanging out of order- it's always so tidy! The robot barista is fun to try once, but it's usually crowded with teens taking video. Sometimes hard to get the notebooks you want as they're often out of stock. Alterations/Customization not always open and the hours seem inconsistent. Love getting clothing from there, but i've had hit or miss with kitchen appliances and their functionality (sponge holder doesn't suction to sink, chopsticks holder for drying rack always falling off rack, silicon feet rolling off drying sheet). Service is meh, they make minimum wage. I've gotten both really great service and have also been trapped in a dressing room for 45 minutes listening to two girls talk about how H&M pays more & has better hours, that they are there for the discounts, who has lunch coming up soon, how many jobs they work, and how much they hate working at Muji. ‍

Yelp
What a beautiful store! I've been a fan of Muji for a while now. They have an amazing selection of beautiful homeware, diffusers, kitchenware, clothing, and so much more. Whats the hype? It's really just simplicity at it's finest. High quality materials, presented in an aesthetically pleasing way. Is it worth the high price tag? Thats for you to decide. 1/11/2019 - They're having a 50% off sale so get it while it lasts!
