Cool pub with an Irish vibe, hence the name.I LOVE the fresh-made pineapple habanero sauce they typically use for wings, but I like to eat it on the french fries. They do good burgers if you’re into eating cows. If you have a nice dog he can join the fun too. They have a patio and about a billion televisions for all the sports lovers. There’s a juke box with an eclectic choice of tunes and all the bartenders and staff have always been very nice. You could even win some cash playing number games and they also have board games and books by the pool tables.

Food, service and atmosphere are great. Lots of good vibes for a Sunday night football. Burgers and fries are good! Pool tables, lots of beer choices. Definitely recommend!

We’ve been here 7 years from Vegas and never went to Mulligans (no particular reason tho) and then someone posted in SC Life that Mulligans had the best burgers in town - so we each tried one. OMG - change that rating to the best burgers in the World, absolutely to die for, excellent quality of beef, huge, juice and numerous add-ons. They were so excellent - we went back 2 days later! Best gem for burgers and beer!

They have tasty burgers, stiff drinks, good music, and a bunch of pool tables. What more could you ask for? Want today's games/fight you say? They have that too.

Unprofessional. I came in there on a Monday when it’s usually not busy and I was waiting at the bar for food and apparently Calvin decided to serve a group of his friends that came in after me. I ordered a burger and the group that came in after me ordered two burgers and two salads. I lost it after seeing Tyler the chef leave for 30 minutes to go smoke weed. Last time I ever wasted my time and money there.

Dive bar with unsuspectingly great food! Gotta try the homemade tortilla chips and salsa. Animal burger is off the charts. Drink prices are reasonable.

Mulligans has everything you want in a bar. 2 separate sections for pool tables, they make one pool table a pingpong table upon request, and have delicious food! Be prepared to wait a while if you're ordering on the weekend nights! They have a back patio and allow me to bring both my non service dogs in with me inside and out. The pub people are very friendly and like to mingle with every one else. Is great!

OK we travel a lot and just happened to Yelp for a Tavern and the vibe was Mulligan's. BEST wings ever, REALLY. Mustard Honey Suratcha and Ranch Suratcha. Cooked to perfection and the SAUCE, THE SAUCE was awesome. Oh abs the Taquitos were the bomb! Thank you Chef!

We where on a So. Cal trip for the Newport Beach Jazz festival with a broken foot using a scooter and wanted to find a place to watch the 1st NBA finals playoff game. We used Yelp and settled on this place based on the photos. The food looked good and it was very good! The staff was nice and accommodating as they moved a high back bar chair to the table so that I could sit comfortably and use the high table chair to elevate my foot. The wings where good, the burgers, onion rings, salad and the wrap sandwich too. The bar was kind of dive bar, with lots of pool tables, tv screens and a full bar. We liked the food so much we returned on our last evening and ordered takeout to eat as we packed for our last day and return flight. I also loved the artwork on the walls.' If you want a low key spot to enjoy a drink, a bit to eat, a game or two of pool and various sports on monitors through out the room, check this place.

Went to check this place out on a Saturday night. They have some pool tables (free) in the main room along with a jukebox (TouchTunes). There's a smaller room that has more pool tables and a corner shelf full of board games. The drinks were good and I didn't expect for the food to be so good. They have a lot of good specialty burgers on the menu or you could build your own. I went with the animal style burger and it was scrumptious.

The wife and I have lived in SC for 22 years and we always heard Mulligan's had great burgers. Finally, in the week of my 60th birthday celebrations I wanted to go to Mulligans to try it out. Heads up, I am bummed I did not take any pictures. We showed up and there were quite a few people and I was surprised as it was Tuesday around noon. We got our menus from a very nice server called June. I did not see the huge signs that said "order at the bar". Once I figured that out we placed our order for beers and burgers. I got the basic burger and added American cheese, along with the standard lettuce, tomato and onion. The wife got the animal style burger. A coupe of on-tap Bud Lights rounded out the meal. The burgers took some time to come out. I expected this from Yelp reviews and from the website that noted they have a small kitchen. No worries, we were in no hurry and enjoyed our beers. June did mention that she appreciated our patience. All good. Burgers came out and they were hot and the fries were piping hot. Fries were freaking great. Not sure the seasoning but it was so tasty. I ate the entire fries serving before tackling the burger. I am not a ranch person, but their homemade ranch was spot on. The wife took the rest of the ranch I did not use. She loves ranch. Now to the burger. Looked great, had a knife through the whole thing holding a nice slice of pickle on the top. First bite of the burger was great with a crunchy outside of the patty and juicy interior. I added some mustard and looking back I should have added mayo or thousand island when I ordered. The wife loved the animal style burger. All good and will go back to try the western burger and patty melt. Also the wings and other things. Free pool play is cool. I'll be back with my golf buds to have lunch and play pool. BTW, my last name is the same as the bar, but I am not related to them. Just a fun fact. Go. Eat Well. Have Fun!!

Open late. Free pool tables (5). Ping pong. Cheap beers. What else can you ask for? Great bartenders. You choose the music. Younger crowd when I went.

I have now been here a couple of times on my travels down to southern Orange County. The service is outstanding. My bartenders were very attentive without being pushy. The food is great too. A better value than what I used to in Santa Barbara. I will be back. It had just the right feel for me. A lot of TVs with unobstructed views and it was very casual and comfortable. The crowd was a solid mix of old and young people.

I was looking around and found this place for food. Came here just to order their Burgers. We tried the Don't go Bacon My Heart & ABC Burger , Me and my co workers Loved It!!! Sooo good!!! Will come back again to order

I went to mulligans last night for the first time and the bartender service was horrible he ignored me and would just walk around and they weren't even busy at all but when other people would show up to the bar he would get to them right away.... First and last time you'll see me there.

we are new in town and like to explore new hang outs and eats so somebody recommended Mulligans so we gave it a try. It is a Irish pub with not much Irish more surfer we like out of the way dive bars so this hit the spot they serve mainly hamburgers and amazingly they had corn dogs and of course wings and some other bar food they have several pool tables that don't work so well but there free so just a lot of fun we had the animal burger and it was impressive and a mess to eat served with a dill pickle spear and a knife sticking in the top it was really delicious and impressive looking we had fun there definitely a locals place vary laidback

My son took us here while we were in town. The guys in the kitchen know what they're doing.. I tried the buffalo chicken wrap, patty melt, a burger, and fries with their house ranch and it was all delicious. Calvin and Carter were perfect hosts. They take care of my kid and even keep his coffee mug ready to go. Friendly and fun group. I recommend checking it out and having a lime vodka and cranberry for me.

We were meeting our son for a late dinner, not too many options because places here close early during the week. This place is open late and food is delicious, but it's a little of a challenging wait time... last night they were very busy and we waited for over 50 minutes, maybe the chef needs some helpers! ~ Bar is full of pool tables and a ping pong table and not so much for dining tables, outdoor patio is for smokers. Nice and friendly staff. ~ We went back for another late dinner with our son, this time we ordered the "Shelley's burger" wow, it's delicious for sure! Our son ordered the same, chicken breast sandwich because he enjoyed it the first time! June and Lars are great bartenders, super attentive and friendly. Love the atmosphere, is full of nice happy locals... ; ~?Food came out much quicker and they were "much" delicious!

Pretty fun spot that is open late. They have pool tables and ping pong that are free to use. Basically first come first serve. Lots of beers on draft. We had fun playing with strangers.

Legit burgers! Western and build your own with their sides. Excellent house made thousand! Wanted to enjoy dinner with a little AC and stumbled across this place. Tons of TVs if your a sports fan like my hubby. First time I've been in a sports bar in decades. Pool tables galore between the two room restaurant. Got lucky with parking lot next to pocket park. Place got busy after we grabbed a table. Order at the bar and a handheld buzzer goes off when ready. They had a special that you could build your own burger for $9.75 with alcohol purchase. Twist my arm! We will be back for the burger again!

We came in for the season opener for the NFL this year and I love this place. They have great food. Extremely reasonable drink prices. The space is a bit small and can get filled up quick if you want to go there for big games so just be aware of that. They don't have servers so you have to go up to the bar and order your food and drinks. Mulligans is a great spot!

My friend and I were plein air painting outside of Mulligans, and we got real hungry, so I dove into this (ahem) dive and I told the bar keeper that I just want to order 2 basic burgers to go. He gave me the menu, and I was floored! They have SO MANY burgers to choose from! I just wanted the basics and no fries, (they jump right onto my thighs) so, no no no. Anyhow - after about 15 minutes I picked up my order, and my artist friend and I ate the burgers outside - on the bench at the park. The burgers were hot, juicy and delicious and HUGE!!!! My friend could only eat half of hers, and I ate the whole thing - it was so GOOD! Mulligans is super chill, everyone in there said hi to me. Super nice place - you have to come over here soon, people!!! I hear that they have a painting of Godzilla hanging on the walls over there, so I'll definitely head on back to look at it!!!

I love the whole dive bar vibe. But, when we call in to order for burgers , you get a "nope we don't take orders over the phone". So, my wife actually drives there. We then get "Can't order more than 3 items". While no one is even in there! Please remember, they don't take phone orders, so there is not a lot happening. Way to go! Headed to Shwack so stupid.

great little dive bar. i ordered the chicken sandwich that was the special and it was delish! i picked the onion ring with it and also delish. met friends here and it was the perfect spot. music option available. parking street or there is a lot across the street.

We tried this place for Sunday football and had a great time! They have good beer specials and the food is really good. They have typical bar food, chicken strips, fries, tots, wings, etc. but everything we ordered was really good. The wing sauce chipotle ranch comes highly recommended. The menu was quite large and next time we will for sure try the burgers. They looked really good and the bartender said they are known for them. Tons of options and really good prices. The place itself is pretty big and has pool tables and ping pong. Super fun place for football and would be fun at night. It was decently busy for the afternoon games but not too bad in the morning. If you are looking for a fun football spot, I would definitely try mulligans!

This is my go-to bar in San Clemente! FREE pool, great food, and even better drinks! Love the laid back atmosphere, good amount of TVs for sports, music, and their burgers are probably the best in town. Shout out to Calvin and all the staff for being the best in the biz. Oh, and their t-shirts are awesome!

First time here and OMG AMAZING! Robert chef's kiss. I wanted a spicy jalapeño burger and he did over exceeded. It was so savory and exactly what I what I wanted. Taylor was our bartender and she knew exactly what she was doing. Honestly one of the best dirty martini I've ever had. We came here to watch the game and weren't expecting much, but this place was amazing. Thank you Robert and Taylor for the amazing service. The food and drinks 10 out of 10!

Mulligans is the finest bar in Orange County. Here you will find the most friendly service, the best manager, and a welcoming staff. The drinks are impeccable. The food is exquisite. The atmosphere is dank. Come and enjoy.

Interesting place . Bar, food and pool tables. Hard to tell if it's 21 and over ? Nobody at the door checking id's, 3 people behind the bar. The female bartender on Friday night was very good and attentive. Hard to tell what the 2 guys were supposed to be doing. One literally stood right in front of us and was eating. He did check some id's when people came up to the bar , but he wasn't serving drinks . Was he the security guy and the bar back ? I wouldn't recommend it for the over 35 crowd, however the pool players seemed happy and the food was worth the wait.

Looking for a mellow dive bar to get your drink and pool game on then you've definitely hit the spot with Mulligans! Off the beaten path in an industrial park you will find this little gem of the Clem where they pretty much always have some type of Special going on when it comes to brews as they have a Taco Tuesday special with discounted drinks and other random things going on different days. They have a good amount of pool tables inside that are surrounded by plenty of TV's so that you can shoot some pool and watch the hockey game wile your enjoying a cold brew with the crew! We've been coming here for quite sometime and every time is always a good time at this little spot as it's just a mellow bar to enjoy the night at. The parking situation here is pretty good as there's plenty of room on the street and across the street so no matter what way your coming from your always going to find a spot pretty quickly. They also have food here and from what I've herd it's actually really good because some of my friends come here regularly and always enjoy it. Overall this is a awesome little spot to grab some grub drink some beer and shoot some pool so I'm sure it won't be too long before we venture back here for another night of good times with the crew.

Great bartenders. Pretty chill bar. Hate to call it a dive bar - more of a pool playing bar. Cocktails & Guinness on tap !

By far my favorite bar. Im here a few times a month, luckily my best friend lives walking distance to this place. First, the 6 free pool tables are the real winners. and yes, totally free. But, that also means that there is no taking a table from people who are already using it. You have to wait till one opens up. But its rare that people wont share or take up the table for the whole night. They also have a huge selection of good board games for while you wait. Second, the foods are bomb. They have a good variety on the menu and they serve food late which I am super thankful for. The burgers are huge and cooked perfectly. really tasty. I also favor the chicken strips, I dunno why but they are really good. And I always order cheese sticks with my first drink because they are beer battered and fuckin insanely good. They also have in-house made ranch which totally makes a difference. Third, the service is always on point. I love all the bartenders here and they do get to know their regulars. The prices are on point as well. Its a total dive but its one of the best dives. Its a hidden gem in San Clemente.

Fun place for those who drink alcohol. For those who do and don't you have to try the hamburgers and chicken wings. Deep fried chicken wings and huge delicious hamburgers.

As a visitor San Clemente definitely returning back to Mulligans. The service top knotch, we really digged on the vibes as well as the plethora of pool tables. We witnessed some lame, entitled, choad customer in a windbreaker act like a weeny. But our buddy Jameson handled it super well, frankly I likely wouldn't have responded with the same tact and patience. I will return because of it. So all in all the bartenders rock, Jameson and Dom kickass.

We finally decided to try this place after my neighbor raved about their burgers. Although we've lived here for almost 20 years this was our first time here. We ordered the bbq burger with bacon and onion rings. We decided to split the food and glad we did. The burger was so big I can't imagine finishing a whole one by myself. And oh.....my......goodness it was so fricken good! It was cooked perfectly, the bacon was crisp and the onion rings were yummy. I don't know if they make their own bbq sauce or from a bottle but it was so good. And we like that they didn't drown the burger in sauce it was the right amount. And the fries? Awesome! Perfectly crisp and soft on inside and not greasy at all. Plus they had a yummy seasoning on them. Our waitress was really sweet helping us with the menu and had the cook split our food for us without asking. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Man this place is awesome. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the drinks aren't too pricey. I'll be back!

ONE star for the ONE ounce pour my friends and i were given tonight. There are so many reasons i dont frequent san clemente and this is the main one. I walked up to the bar and was treated as if I didn't belong. I tend to find this a trend at any bar in SC but i thought it might be different tonight... on a thursday... with "friends" that usually go there. Let me tell you; unless the bartender knows you... your drink WILL be short poured.

Food is really good but the bar staff needs an attitude check. There is one guy I think he is a bar back and he's really sweet and helpful but the rest are not good

This place is AWESOME!! I love the totally delicious menu, From beer to food. They have one of the best burgers in San Clemente. Good vibe and good friendly faces. They also have the best pool tables in the area! And for free!! I am happy that I found my perfect bar in town.

I am a college student from England and the bouncer would not accept a British ID or passport and said they had to be "US issued." Have never had that issue before and have been to hundreds of bars in LA, OC, etc... seems very weird and discriminating. Update in response to your comment: my ID is not expired, it expires in 2026... he handed it back to me and said they only accept "US issued" IDs or passports and I said I could produce a photocopy of my passport but it was British and he said that wouldn't do. Fair enough since it's a photocopy, but he rejected my unexpired ID in the first place for no reason other than it being international -- he didn't mention that he thought it was expired (which it isn't). Unfortunate miscommunication if he truly did believe that but he should be able to communicate that to a potential customer in a polite way

This place is AMAZING!!!!! We came out here (San Clemente) for a small getaway... And when we googled things to do this was the first bar that came up. Very hidden place, and was NOT expecting to be as blown away as we were!! First; the burgers are AWSOME! Juicy, big, and just AMAZING!!!! The bar tender was great and friendly and the atmosphere was VERY welcoming!!! Totally recommend this one!!!!!!!

I want to give this place 5 stars but we didn't eat here :( I am going to save the fifth star for the food I know for a fact looks mouth watering. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was hole in the wall meets family friendly. There are pool tables and a bar but there are a few high tables and a bartender that is SUPER friendly.

One of, if not the best bar in SC. Great drinks, great service, and pool tables: what more do you need? The secret weapon is the menu. Beautifully crafted gourmet pub food. Oxymoron? Not at Mulligans. 5/5 would bar here again. Also, if that blonde bartender ever reads this: call me
