My first time here was last night at a Glaze & Sip event. My daughter and I needed a little break from the routine and something artsy to do. We were both pleasantly surprised by how cheerful the atmosphere was. Having kids around was refreshing. The adults were all well behaved, probably due to the family vibe. They don't serve food, because their focus is on making and serving beverages, which they do very well, but they let you bring you own food in, so we had a variety of snacks to go with our drink selections. I had a hard cider with a flavored seltzer which was amazing. My daughter had flight and she was able to sample some of the beers, so she'd know which ones to choose for her board. We spent about 3 hours there, painting pottery, grazing, and sipping while we caught up with the events in each other's lives. We left feeling restored and ready to enter back into our busy routines. The service was perfect. They take the time to educate you on what they have and make suggestions to help you get something that suits your palate. You can see some of the brewing area and equipment in the back. They weren't operating at the time, but it was interesting to see and satisfying to know what you're drinking is produced right there on site. They have many types of activities that you can look up on their FB page or website. There are outdoor picnic tables, and local Food Trucks regularly come to the parking lot. If you live in Hughesville, Charlotte Hall, or Prince Frederick, this establishment is a short drive away, and we'll worth visiting.
