The 8 Best Places To Drink Bubble Tea In London - London - The Infatuation

"Ding Tea is a bubble tea franchise with locations across four different continents. Although we can’t speak for all of them, we can speak for this spacious New Malden spot when we say that it’s serious about bubble tea. They don’t faff about with any fruit boba. Instead they focus on tapioca, golden pearls, and a selection of other toppings like red beans and grass jelly. The intensity of the tea can be quite strong with some of the oolong and black tea bases, so if you want a lighter tea, go with mango green tea or the brown sugar pearl milk. Pop in for a catch-up or a solo bubble tea—and if you manage to nab the sofas by the window, know you’re in the best seats for people-watching." - Rianne Shlebak

The bubble tea itself is genuinely excellent — fresh, well-balanced flavours, generous toppings, and the popping boba went down a treat with the kids. The interior looks fantastic… until you try to actually sit down. The famous swings? Staff immediately tell you they’re for photos only, not for sitting. The actual seats are ridiculously low, hard, and uncomfortable — you feel like you’re sitting on the floor. It’s clear the whole place is designed for Instagram rather than real customer comfort. Pop in, grab your (very good) drink, maybe take a quick photo on the swing if they let you, then leave. Perfect for takeaway, not for lingering. The tea saves it — everything else feels like style over substance. Worth it for the drink alone, but don’t plan to sit and relax.

A decent bubble waffle is not that hard to make as I have a cheap electric machine at home. However it seems Multea is that concerned about quality.. you can tell by the photo is was soggy and not crisp at all, the side underneath was pale yellow. The batter is not authentic (hence the cake like texture) but at the very least they could have cooked it longer to get the colour right on both side. Won’t be returning.

Absolutely disgusting and beyond unacceptable. I am appalled by the sheer lack of hygiene and care at Multea Choice. I was horrified to find a fly sealed inside the drink, trapped under the plastic film. How does something like this even happen? Do they not check what they’re handing over to customers? This isn’t just sloppy; it’s a complete disregard for basic food safety and customer health. Finding a fly in a drink is not just gross, it’s a serious hygiene violation. If something this visible and revolting can slip past their staff, I dread to imagine what happens behind the counter. A place serving consumable products should have far stricter quality control and this experience shows that Multea Choice clearly doesn’t care enough. This has put me off their drinks permanently. I will be warning friends and family to stay away because if they can’t maintain even the most basic cleanliness standards, it’s not safe. Absolutely disgusting.

This place used to be good when it was still Ding Tea. Now it's awful, especially the new Vietnamese food range they have that we thought we would give a try. We ordered the bun mi and it was honestly the worst bun mi I've ever had, you can make a much better one at home. The bun mi took 3 separate members of staff to put together as they didn't know what they were doing. It seemed like a cheap stale Tesco baguette and it was dry and hard after they put it in the grill for too long, before stuffing it with ingredients that weren't fresh. Honestly the worst food, and the entire place seems to be run by teenage kids. Would never visit again!

The basic bubble waffle flavor is nice, though it could be better if it’s cooked slightly longer to get crispier. The one I had is slight soft and the texture not like waffle ( from the colour could tell). Price reasonable with £3.90 for the egg waffle (basic one).

Hot taro milk tea is always my choice, honestly, it’s the best! The flavor is rich and creamy, with that signature earthy-sweet taro taste that warms you up instantly. Even without sugar, it still tastes full-bodied and satisfying, which I really appreciate.

Google
Multea is always consistent with the quality of their drinks and service. It’s my go to boba place and the staff are always friendly and willing to help when you’re unsure about drinks. Their new fish waffles with red bean are super good and if you’re in the area, you should try it out! It’s also dog friendly, which is a super big plus.
