Tasty curry with fresh ingredients! Mumtaz offers an innovative take on Indian cuisine. They have a pretty nice outdoor porch. I'd order take out from them if they do delivery.

Mumtaz had great ideas.. just fell a minuscule amount short in terms of execution - but this may just be in terms of preference. The saag gnocchi was great - that was my favorite. The rechaad.. I wish they'd cut the meat and pineapples in bitesize pieces. The seafood malabar had a bit of bitter after taste. I still think the food was wonderful and definitely worth checking out!

We had a great experience with the food here. Highlights were the pani puri (hard to find elsehwhere), the brussels, and the coconut naan. Otherwise it’s so hard to find Indian in Austin so I’m thrilled Mumtaz is here. My only point of feedback is the seating. We opted for the bar because the tables and chairs are really cheap and make an otherwise beautiful restaurant feel cold. Would be a simple fix so they don’t let a lovely space go to waste.

Wonderful food and a laid back but welcoming ambience. The paneer jalfrezi tasted like a slice of home cooked food. Portion sizes are just right, not moo much. And of course, the sweet potato panipuri was a treat.

Great Indian food with yummy drinks and an awesome patio. The duck racheed and deconstructed samosas were my fav. All around a great spot!

I tried every Indian restaurant in austin and this one is by far the best of the best. Staff is very nice, the chef has her special touch and well experienced depth of understanding far west cousins makes this restaurant a he best in austin. Vibe is amazing, restaurant looks and feel amazing.

What more could you want from a local watering hole and a restaurant? This place kills it with the food and the drinks. Joe is the bartender who knows your name and keeps you surprised with the new and fun bevies he’s mixing. Bear, the exceptional floor architect, will try to get you seated as best he can with the party you have even if you didn’t have reservations. He shows up to save your day. My fiancé and I are locals, and love finding new neighborhood hot spots. Slightly heartbroken that it won’t be my little secret anymore, but they deserve to be Austin popular.

Absolutely amazing! I went here for dinner on a Friday night and was pleasantly blow away by the incredible innovative twists on indian classics. I have been shouting about this place from the rooftops since my first visit a week ago. I shall return many times in the near future to taste everything on the menu. Keep the hits coming! Staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable as well. They were definitely another highlight! I would like to also mention the decor. Elegant and tasteful, not a boring corner to look at great job!!
