The 10 Best Hot Pot Restaurants In SF

"Mumu Hot Pot gets points for having individual pots—you won’t have to jostle with your elbows to grab a bobbing quail egg, or spend the entire meal standing up in order to reach a vat of broth. But aside from being the most conducive to non-sharers, this Parkmerced restaurant is also just really damn good. Their savory broths, like tom yum and miso, pair perfectly with the range of boilables, like house ramen, rice cakes, and fish balls. It’s not AYCE, so choose your set (the Mumu’s Signature for $75 easily feeds two) and go to town at the peanut-heavy sauce bar of your dreams." - julia chen 1, patrick wong, ricky rodriguez

11 Great SF Restaurants For A Last-Minute Group Dinner

"Mumu Hot Pot is a Parkmerced spot specializing in individual hot pots, which is great news for anyone who had trouble sharing as a child. The space is also big enough to drive a car through, so you can roll up with a crew and dunk thinly shaved meat into boiling broth alongside SFSU students and entire extended families. Everything for your personal pot is customizable, from sides and sauce to soup type (we like miso), so even the group’s resident picky eater will be satisfied. " - julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez

1. The staff were friendly and answered our questions which helped us with what to order. 2. There are so many veggie options! This was a refreshing change because in other hotpot places, I usually would find 2 soup bases. 3. We tried their Tom Yum, Yuzu, Mushroom, and Miso. The miso was least liked and Tom Yum was most liked. I really liked the Yuzu as well. 4. You have individual hotpots instead of one for the table so for people who are worried about backwash, you don't have to. 5. We all got the veggie combo and the selection of veggies were pretty good. The quantity was actually a lot for 1 person. No one at the table finished their portion. But the Tom Yum soup was so good that the soup was empty. 6. The veggies were fresh, good variety, and decent veggie protein options. 7. Their house ramen was amazing I would definitely recommend that. Overall a very good option for hotpot. I would definitely recommend it especially if you don't eat meat.

Google
Solid hot pot place. We ordered three different hotpots for the three of us, and honestly it was a bit much. Could have just managed with two. You can either choose from one of their packages or just go Full Ala carte. When we went, there was a bit of weight, but we got a table within 10 minutes. Everybody on the table gets their individual hot pot, which is great. I got the Tom yun base which I loved. The selection of meat is high-quality, and these sides are pretty good as well. They have a separate sauce station where you can mix and match sauces. It is definitely a bit on the higher side in terms of price, but you definitely get a more premium experience. I would be back and bring other friends as well.

Stopped here for dinner, first time. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good and large portions. We could eat all the food even with sharing. It was busy almost every table was full but you could still talk at your table. Definitely would come back again when in the area.

I visited this mumu new location and I’m so glad I checked it out! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming, making the entire experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The space is clean, modern, and perfect for a cozy meal with friends or family. We ordered the Signature Set for two and it was incredible. We chose the Tom Yum and Miso broths both were rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The set came with a generous veggie platter, fresh noodles, and two standout meats: the 100% Kurobuta Pork Collar and the Prime Black Angus Beef Short Ribs. Both were incredibly tender and high quality. We also added shrimp, which were fresh and cooked perfectly in the broth. The sauce bar is huge, with so many ingredients to customize your own perfect dipping sauce it really takes the meal to another level. For drinks, I had the Passion Fruit Orange Tea, Phoenix Oolong Milk Tea, and a Matcha Smoothie with Milk Foam. Each one was delicious and paired perfectly with the meal refreshing, not too sweet, and full of flavor. Highly recommend checking out this new location! Amazing food, great service, and a fun atmosphere definitely a new hot spot in San Jose.

Google
Great hot pot experience with single pots (better for kids who don't like to mix), convenient combos and lots of vegan options. Went with my daughter and had a great time. She kept saying: this is so yummy!

Google
Good hot pot place, had multiple veg options with tofu and mushroom platter. Can get pretty busy but wasn't a long wait to get seated. Plenty of street parking nearby

Google
What an exceptional dining experience! It was my first time trying hot pot and I absolutely loved it. They have a no-contact ordering system where you order using a QR code and pay for the food after you are seated. Opted for the Mumu combo for two with Tom yum and Sichuan spicy soup bases. The meat (chicken and lamb) and veggies, noodles were fresh. There is a separate sauce station where you can pick sauces of your choice that pairs with the different soup bases. At the sauce station, there is a legend to walk you through sauces/toppings you can choose based on the soup base. The soup bases were flavorful with the right amount of spice and paired well with the sauces. Even the sauces were so fresh and flavorful on their own. The Service was quick and staff helped with questions on the menu. Will definitely be back.

Google
The wait time was pretty long, but then we were there on a Friday evening. The decor is nondescript. A great part of a good hot pot is the sauces, and this place offers a wide range. The buttery spicy broth was unique and savory. I would recommend the sliced tilapia fillet, and the fortune bags with shrimp.

Yelp
Mumu is a place I don't frequent often but every time I do, I enjoy it lots! My go-to soup base is usually tom yum but I wanted to switch it up this time and went with the Sichuan spicy. I really liked the flavor and spice of it but I'm not sure if I would get it again. A bit too oily for me and a lot of chili pieces crowding up the pot. The vegetables here are nicely portioned and consist of Napa cabbage, spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, and more! They also include some pieces of rice cake, taro, pumpkin, and tofu. All the ingredients are fresh and pair nicely with the meat. My favorite meat that they offer here is the beef toro because it's thin, tender, and rich. The sauce bar is plentiful and one of my favorite parts of the dining experience. I always need a good sauce to go with my hotpot and Mumu's selections never disappoints. We came on a Friday night and wanted to be seated at a table so the wait was about an hour long for a table of 3. No Yelp waitlist to join ahead of time, unfortunately. Ordering is through QR code on a phone so minimal interactions with the wait staff besides the occasional water and broth refill.

Yelp
Loved everything about this experience!!! I had never tried hot pot before but we wanted sustenance before going shopping and ended up here. The server explained to us how it worked and I believe we got the tomka base and short ribs meat. I was hesitant for sure but it was so good. And fun! We did order extra ramen and we shared 1 order of meat/veggies. For lunch it was more than enough! Ambiance was good. It looked like everyone else in the restaurant was also having a good time. Looking forward to the one coming to oakridge mall so I can take my family,

Yelp
I love mumu because all of their ingredients are so fresh. They also have an extensive sauce bar. Their meat is probably the best quality that i've had from a hot pot place! However, their broths aren't my favorite. I've tried the sukiyaki, tom yum, and miso. I would say the tom yum is my favorite. But DO NOT get the miso from here, it's ridiculously sweet. Overall, mumu is still a very solid hot pot place. Everyone that I have introduced to mumu loves it. I have to say it's my favorite hot pot place in the bay area (for now)!
google avatar

Sandy L.

Yelp
I'm a mumu hot pot stan!! I have been to several locations around the bay area and it has always been consistent with really quick and high equalities service. I would recommend going with a big group to try multiple meats, but if you are going alone or with someone else, they have a single and double option that is the perfect amount of food to share. I usually prefer à la carte hot pot because the quality is always better and mumu is a good representation of that. I really like the flat iron chuck and their short rib to be honest you can't go wrong with any of the meats because of how high-quality and tender they are. Their sauce bar is really clean and has a lot of options. my favorite is using soy sauce, sesame oil, cilantro, garlic, and a little bit of sugar to bounce out the saltiness. Also - Their miso broth is a great choice if you're looking for a neutral flavor that isn't spicy and has a lot of flavor. The ambiance is clean af and they're always wiping down tables right away when seating people. Can't wait to come back especially now with the weather being cold. :)

Yelp
Mumu is without a doubt my favorite Chinese hot pot that I've had in the Bay! So glad there's one in South Bay now, this location is pretty spacious with plenty of seating so I was glad there was no wait when I came on a Saturday night. Ordering is done through a QR code so it's super easy, and I love the options they have to pick from at the sauce bar. Between 2 people, we ordered the Meat Lovers Combo which was more than enough food for us(and we were super hungry when we came). We got the Wagyu, New Zealand Lamb, and Beef Tongue which were all so good and fresh, highly recommend all 3! My favorite was the Wagyu, it was probably the most tender of the meats we ordered. I love the veggie platter it came with, I thought it was super unique that it comes with rice cakes as I never knew I needed rice cakes in my hot pot until now, it was a great touch! The portion of veggies was also huge. We ordered the Buttery Spicy and Creamy Tomato Broth and we were so happy with both choices. I normally love and opt for something spicy but the tomato is a must try, it's so flavorful and tasty. I've tried the Foster City and Pleasanton locations and it's very consistent here with the taste and quality. We had a great experience and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Mumu is a beautiful and modern designed hot pot restaurant. A great option for a straight forward hot pot experience. Individual pots, generous vegetable plates and good quality meat. They offer combo sets which make for easier ordering for couples or for those ordering their own set. Most of their broths are vegan friendly. There are Halal options for meat as well; Australia M9 Chuck Eye, Wagyu Beef Toro and New Zealand Lamb. The meat is great quality and fresh, the lamb has an insignificant gamey flavor and is on the lean side. The large vegetable platters are generous and comes with a big variety such as taro, wintermelon, kabocha, rice cake, fried tofu, tofu, yuba, crimini, king oyster, enoki, broccoli, bamboo, spinach lettuce. The sauce bar is decent. With recipe suggestions, I do wish they had bean paste here and some additional offerings like sides or fruit available. Service is quick and pleasant. The interior is comfortable and not too noisy.

Yelp
Was around the area to pick up a package around the corner from FedEx & we decided to have dinner here. The wait looked long but it wasn't too bad for just us 2. We waited for about 10 mins & got seated at the bar which happens to be my personal fave spot especially at places like these where service is minimal. We got the meat lover with lamb & wagyu which were really good. I liked the quality of their meats & especially liked how they give you tongs for them so you don't have to use your chopsticks. The veggie platter was plentiful with a random variety, even including a few rice cakes which was a nice surprise for me. I could probably do without the taro & broccoli though. You can order extra veggies like mushrooms, Napa cabbage, etc. My tom yum broth was pretty good but my husband's miso tasted different than what we've had before. Overall, we had a good dinner. Ambiance is nice & it looks sort of spacious but it can fill up quick.

Yelp
Came here recently with the girls for dinner and I'd say this place is overall OK, there were some really goods things that teetered me to 4 star review, but ultimately it came down to broth and variety that just set me back. The restaurant itself is really nice, prob. one of the nicer hotpot places so far - it was casual but welcoming with a simple/modern aesthetic and soft lighting. Parking, like many said, can suck - the garage is pointless (packed and limited) but there is a lot of street parking overall. Service is minimal, since ordering is done via QR code on the phone. Although the menu is straightforward and does a good job at providing sets (mainly for 2 ppl) - it also has additional a la carte options as well. I do like that everyone gets their own individual broth even with the meal sets which makes it easy, but overall it can be pricy for any heavy meat eaters since the set only comes with 2-3 trays of meat and you'd have to order additional a la carte for more protein. The meat quality was legit really good, the main reason why I wanted to give it 4 stars actually. But once I sipped the miso broth my smile wavered (lol), it was a bit too salty for me. Really wished they had a simple beef bone broth or anything similar, where the broth was more drinkable and not just for dipping/cooking. The veggie assortment was a little strange; There were things that I'm just personally not used to for hotpot...like American broccoli, green leaf lettuce, or taro. Although, I def am bias, since I hotpot at home often with my Chinese in-laws like once a month. Overall, if around the area I may consider eating here again - BUT I for sure, wouldn't go out of way for it.

Yelp
I finally joined my family here. They previously went here before and they recommended that I try it. My niece chose the soup base and the meat lovers selection. We waited probably about 30-40 minutes on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy obviously on the weekend. We didn't have to wait long to place our order. While we waited, we picked some sauces and add ons. It was a self serve area.

Yelp
One of the best hot pot spots! Heads up - the wait can be gruesome. They don't have a yelp waitlist and you can only waitlist once you get to the restaurant. I try to come during a weekday around 5pm and it isn't so bad by then. There is a parking garage, but finding spots can be hard during dinner time as well. The restaurant is pretty large inside and there is bar seating (which you can get seated faster with). My go-to order is the Meat Lovers combo with the Tom Yum soup base. There's an array of meats to choose from and also different toppings. Be creative as you like! Go-to order: - Meats: beef tongue, beef short ribs, toro, lamb - Veggies: What's included in the meat lovers combo and extra king oyster mushrooms - seafood: fish ball with roe Also, they have a free sauce bar with sooo many options for you to be creative!

Yelp
I really appreciate the quality of this place. It's one of the cleanest hot pot restaurants I've been to. If you're lucky, you'll get seated quick but be prepared for semi-long wait times (~15-30 min). Their broths are delicious; we've had their sukiyaki, Tom yum, tomato, and Szechuan (very hot ). Food is ordered through an app - extremely convenient because it comes out in an instant and you can always reorder more without having to wait on someone. Best thing I love is their quality of food. Everything tastes fresh, which you can't say about other hot pot places. It is a quite pricey considering they recently did another price increase on their menu. But oh well, would definitely come back

Yelp
I heard lots of good reviews from my friends and decided to give it a try. I got the combo for 2 and it was very generous with portions. I forgot to take photos but recommend coming here if you have a date, perfect for parties of 2! Side note: Parking was quite easy right behind the restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was very good. The waiters were nice and the wait wasn't long. It was very good! I couldn't stop eating. Great quality, and pretty clean. The plants have a nice touch to the restaurant. The music was good, too. The paintings were in the right spots, white, black and gray paintings on a gray wall. It matched very well. They have a little sauce counter where you can get the sauces that you want. The waiters are very good at their job! The only bad thing I found was that it was a bit dirty and the ceiling kind of ruins the look. The lights above the sauce counter matched with the plants. It looked very nice! Great job!

Yelp
My all time favorite hot pot in the south bay! It's a lil pricey since they did increase the price to $75 for their main combo. Ordered: Signature combo, sukiyaki & Tom yum broth, beef toro, beef tongue, and two fish ball with roe. I love both the broths! Tom yum comes out perfectly sweet and sour, plus the sukiyaki isn't over powering. The portions are great too, we usually get full before finishing 2 plates of meats. I always end up taking the broth and vegetables as leftovers and then add some meat to make another meal out of it. Their sauce bar also comes with plenty of options.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Pretty good hot pot with decent quality meats and veggies. It's not AYCE, but we shared a $75 "Meat Lover" set for 2, which was more than enough (this can probably feed 3 people). It included 2 soups, 3 meats, 2 carbs, and 1 veggie platter (choice of everything except the veggie platter). I visited on a weekday evening and got a table easily, with no wait. The interior was clean and spacious, and the staff were very attentive!

Yelp
Mumu hot pot is a staple for whenever I visit the Bay Area. The fresh ingredients always keeps me coming back every time. We got the combo set for 2 which comes with 2 soups, a large veggie plate, 2 meats, a carb, and 2 sides. It comes with an assortment of bak choy, spinach, mushrooms, taro, rice cake, pumpkin, napa cabbage, and bamboo. I got the sukiyaki soup and it was delicious. The meat was very tender and fresh. My favorite thing about Mumu is the sauce bar that I can customize. The waiters were very attentive and came by to give us more napkins and soup base. I will admit the only flaw was in a couple hours I had to reach for water because it might have been too salty.
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
all the meat so tender and delicious, perfect hot pot meat slice, comes with the perfect amount of veggies and portion for two rating: 5/5 would come here again and service is so friendly and fast
google avatar

Leslie N.

Yelp
tired of ayce hot pot? This is your spot. Quality hotpot broth and toppings! It was so good I went twice within a week lol. There is plenty of seating, and my party did not wait at all luckily both times. As for service, ordering is done through phone. The food came out quick. They got combo meals and I usually order the meat lovers combo which comes with 3 diff meats, a veggie late and 2 types of carbs which is good for 2 people. My party got all different broths to try and I enjoyed all of them. My personal favorites were the tom yum, tomato and sukiyaki broths. The only thing though is the parking being a hassle; they have limited garage spots and street parking. Overall, good experience would come again for a date night.
google avatar

Randy W.

Yelp
Always a bit of a wait, but worth it. Generous portions of food, yes, you cook it yourself, but the selection of broths is up to you! One of our go to places that always satisfies!

Yelp
I had been eagerly awaiting the opening of this hot pot spot for months, and it didn't disappoint! Since its opening, I've been twice, and each visit has been a solid experience. For my partner and me, it typically costs about $100, which includes the Meat Lover's Plate and a boba drink. We've been fortunate both times to snag a table right away, arriving around 5:30 on weekends. The interior is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of room between tables to avoid feeling cramped. Most tables are equipped with two hot pots, making it great for sharing with larger groups. The food itself is excellent. The vegetables are fresh, and the meat is delivered within minutes of placing an order through the convenient iPad system. As with many hot pot places, you can customize your flavors at the sauce bar to your heart's content. If you're a boba fan, Mumu Boba next door is also open, though their selection leans more toward fruit-based drinks. While the price here is on the higher side, the combination of delicious food, attentive service, and a clean atmosphere makes it worth it. For parking, I recommend using the lot across the street next to Trader Joe's--it's free and just a short walk over. I'd also suggest going earlier for dinner to avoid the long queues that tend to form later in the evening. tldr:/ Positives: Fresh ingredients and prompt service Spacious, clean interior with a thoughtful layout Convenient sauce bar for customization Quick seating (at least for early dinner) Room for Improvement: On the pricier side, especially for frequent visits Parking could be tricky if you don't know where to go Limited variety of boba drink options at Mumu Boba
google avatar

Tracy L.

Yelp
A friend recommended Mumu to meet up for dinner, and I was very impressed! It was the three of us and we ordered the Meat Lovers combo which is recommended for two, but it was perfect for the 3 of us! It came with 3 meat options and we chose Lamb, Wagyu, and Chuck Eye. It also came with a huge bowl with veggies and a choice of 2 noodles or rice. They also had a build-your-own sauce bar. Overall, service was pretty fast for being crowded. We went on a Saturday night around 7:30PM and had about a 20 minute wait, which wasn't bad!
google avatar

Miranda D.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this location because they have bar seating with TVs! My boyfriend and I were able to enjoy our food and grub while watching the Warriors game, which we found perfect. Parking here is a little iffy.. it's located under an apartment complex and there is locked parking for residents, and a few spots for guest/retail parking but it is VERY limited. Arrive early or prepare to park on a dark street with no lighting. This location can also get very busy as well. In comparison to the Emeryville location, this spot is small. However, quality of meat and veggies are still up to par.
google avatar

Yelp
My friends and I were craving hotpot, so we gave Mumu a try on a Monday evening. The place is fairly spacious, so we were seated immediately. As for the food, I shared a signature with my boys, which I got with a mushroom and Sichuan broth. The broth was solid, everything came out quickly, and I felt the ingredient variety as well as quality was superb. If you're craving Hotpot and want a solid spot, give Mumu a try!
google avatar

Sally L.

Yelp
This is my favorite and go-to hotpot place! The food here is absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. I usually opt for the Meat Lovers option and the Tom Yum soup base. The ingredients are always fresh, and the portion sizes are generous. Whether you're a hotpot fan or a first timer, there is a variety of options for everyone. The service is also fantastic. Staff are attentive and friend. This is the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or date night. Highly recommend!

Yelp
If you know me, you probably know how much I love Mumu and how often I like to come. With the abundance of Hotpot places in the Bay Area this place takes the spot. It is not all you can eat, it is an à la cart spot. The meat qualities are outstanding, although I will say that the portion sizes have decreased over the last year. I typically order their combo meals which include a meat lovers combo where you can pick three different meats and it comes with a vegetable plate and two carbohydrate choices like udon, noodles, rice. Their soup bases are also pretty good, and some of their more popular ones are that Tom, which has really strong flavor. My personal favorite is mushroom or the schezchan spicy, which is really really spicy. There's a sauce bar where you can make your own sauces and they have a ton of different options. I appreciate how there is always top-tier and their vegetables are always very fresh. I've also tried their seafood combo where you can pick two meats and one side which includes choices of various seafood and other options, I find that their fish, tofu and shrimp paste are phenomenal. Their combos are typically around $75 recently which is a little bit on the price aside for à la cart Hotpot, but I think that the quality of the food makes it very worth the higher price tag. This spot tends to get really crowded so if you're going on a weekend , you should expect to wait for a little while. Unfortunately, they do not have an online Yelp waitlist so you have to go in store to put your name down. Parking In this area is also not great, it's either in the garage which only has a couple of really tight spaces or street parking.

Yelp
Mumu is one of our favorite hotpot spots. The have multiple locations in the Bay. So glad we have one in Sunnyvale. Love their Mumu package for 2. You must try their mushroom broth! They also have Vegan and Vegetarian options. I know people come for the meat, which they have premium choices, but their veggie platter (included with the meals) are top notch! Friendly staff, and love that the interior of every branch is the same. Mumu has been and continues to be one of our FAVES!
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Love the Individual pots you get so that you don't have to share germs, or if you just want a different flavor soup than who you're with. I got the Tom yum soup and it was not as deep of other Tom yum soup bases I've had but not terrible either. Just average and good enough. My friend and I got the Mumu signature which was the perfect amount for 2 girls' lunch portion. You get 2 meats, veggies, 2 sides, and 2 rice/noodles if your choice. We opted for signature instead of meat lovers because we weren't super hungry and the sides were more desirable than the extra plate of meat for us. Everything came out super fast (as expected since all of it can be prepped ahead of time and it wasn't too busy. Meat quality is good. Not spectacular but better than most other hot pot places. Nothing of much else to note. We sat at the bar which is unconventional but fun. They even have bag hooks which was a really nice touch. The entire restaurant was clean, bright, and spacious. Would be back if I'm not looking for all you can eat places. Might try other locations to see if there's a quality difference.

Yelp
4.3 Stars! A delicious hot pot place! I absolutely love their shrimp paste I could eat a dozen plates of them. Every time I go here I always get their tom yum. It is super flavorful, out of all the hot pot places I have been to their Tom Yum is the best. I recommend their house ramen it tastes very fresh! The ordering and payment process is super easy as well, everything is on the phone. Besides the delicious food, the only downside is the parking especially on a busy night. They only have a parking garage and some street parking. The parking garage is mixed with the apartments so it's quite hard to find parking.
google avatar

Megan A.

Yelp
I think this is one of the best deals for a hot pot set in the Bay! It's $75 for two people for the Meat Lovers Combo and it comes with so much meat, veggies, and sides. You have your own individual pots and can choose which broths you each want. I would recommend the Buttery Spicy or the Creamy Tomato (if you're not a fan of spice). You order everything through a QR code, making the entire process fairly efficient and quick. It can get quite busy so I recommend coming early!
google avatar

Ye G.

Yelp
Back again to enjoy good hotpot for the cold weather! Quality of food is the same as before so the good service but noticeable prices have been higher up quite a lot within in a year!
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
I was looking for a hot pot place around my hotel and found this local spot on Yelp. Surprisingly their hot pot is very tasty. What's even better is that they offer a free cold sake when you check-in on Yelp. Their inside is very spacious where you can either sit at a table or at the bar. I chose the bar since I was eating alone. The servers were attentive and even replaced my dirty napkins. They even have a sauce bar! I ordered their tom yum broth which is their speciality broth and it was so delicious. It had hints of sourness but not too overbearing. It went really well with my meat and veggies. Overall, I'd come back here again.
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite hot pot places. Their meat tastes super fresh, and their broths are flavorful. It's not going to be the cheapest option for hotpot, but I'm happy to pay more for the yummy meat and broth.

Yelp
By far my favorite hot pot spot I've been to. They have an amazing sauce bar (make your own with many options), great quality meat and veggies. There are great combos if you are in pairs/groups to save a little. There is usually a wait on weekend evenings and they have Yelp waitlist. Service is good; you order from a link in a QR code and food is brought out quickly. Everyone I have brought here has loved it! I have returned many times :)

Yelp
Great hot pot with fast service, individual soups so you can customize it however. We got the combo for two, i believe about $75. Comes with veg, 3 meats and 2 noodle types. Tom yum soup is SO flavourful and the sauce bar adds a great element. Fair prices for the area and great meat quality. Recommend the toro beef and the lamb!

Yelp
There's retail parking in the apartment complex that Mumu is connected to you can use that for a parking spot. The food is good too here and not too shabby for a hot pot place. I'd say it hits all the notes with diverse food to boil, decent soup options, and a sauce bar with all the Chinese usuals. The only thing to note, it's not all you can eat but you will be full at the end. So imd say this is slightly cheaper than the usual AYCE hotpot but the downside is less meats you get to scarf down. The servers are helpful if you've never been here before and they'll explain the menu. They also can refill your soup with a generic broth if your soup is too low. Last thing is don't forget to check in on yelp for free sake! It's not the sake that I took of photo of though, it's much smaller and maybe gives 5 shots of sake at most.

Yelp
Came here Friday around 12:30pm. It wasn't that busy so we were seated right away at the bar area. We ordered the $75 meat lover combo for 2 through the QR code. While we waited, we made our sauces at the sauce station. I also checked in on Yelp for a small bottle of chilled sake! Service was fast and attentive. The quality of the food was good. The meats we got were Prime Black Angus beef short ribs (my fav), Australia M-9 Beef Chuck, and Waygu Beef Toro. Ingredients were fresh. It was a lot of food for 2 people. We finished almost everything except for the rice cakes and we were stuffed. Next time, we will do the lunch special instead. They played K-pop music in the background. There's a parking garage in the same plaza area.

Yelp
We came here when they first opened and I was not impressed because the service was lacking. They did not bother to add broth to our pots and my pot was burned. Many years later, I returned here for a group lunch with coworkers. First disclaimer, I'm never a fan of hot pot places because of the smell. This time it's not different. I could smell the broth, and the smell got on me the whole rest of the day, which was very irritating. We ordered their lunch sets, which included 4 oz of meat, a basket of vegetables, and a choice of carb. The meat is thin but at least there's the choice of fatty beef (40% fatty), lamb, regular rib eye beef, etc.. The sauce table was ok, it has the essential sauce options. The service is better this time, we got broth added. The passion fruit green tea drink was also delicious. For $6, you can add pumpkin slices and they also have pumpkin slices in the original set basket. My overall impression is that it's a pricey hot pot place and I would not go again because of the smell.

Yelp
This is my go-to spot for Sichuan hot pot, especially for dates. I always order the Mumu combo, which comes with two choices of meat, a veggie plate, one side, and a choice of carbs. I also love the self-serve sauce bar--my favorite is the mushroom sauce. The cozy atmosphere at night makes it the perfect place for a fun and flavorful meal!

Yelp
Mumu is probably my favorite non-AYCE hot pot spot. The meat quality is always high, the service is quick, and the broths are all so good. I highly recommend the tom yum soup. My boyfriend and I get the meat lovers set and we both leave full. We came in on a Friday night and it was very busy. There were still plenty of servers walking around, checking in on us, and refilling waters. There's plenty of tables and a cute little bar area in the middle of the restaurant. I checked in on Yelp and got a free house sake! I haven't been here often, but every time I have I've always left satisfied.

Yelp
one of my favorite hot pot spots in the bay! Definitely on the pricier stuff but everything is such good quality I'm a huge fan. The mumu combo is perfect if you want some good meat and also some nice side dishes. I love their shrimp paste and their fish balls with roe! The short rib meat is definitely my favorite, so tender and delicious. I got the buttery spicy pot, and it was good! The soup is definitely not drinkable but is delicious and adds a lot of good flavor to the meat and veggies! I also love the build your own sauce bar, I was able to make all my favorite sauces with their provided ingredients. Service was quick, they didn't come to check on us but that's okay, we had everything we needed.

Yelp
Great food, convenient set up (one pot per person), and good service. Great vegetarian options as well. Their Tom Yum soup base was pretty good. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
It's definitely enough for two people. You order from the online menu. Check out and pay online when you are done. Easy peasy. Decent selection of sauces. The recommendation combo is pretty good if you are not familiar with them. Parking is in the back in a parking garage. Easy to find a spot.

Yelp
Went to Mumu hot pot on a Wednesday night and left HELLA full! The parking was a little confusing since it's shared with an apartment complex but there is also a little lot that I guess consumers can park at (though there were a lot of apartment signs around that makes it seem like not LOL). My boyfie and I got seated right away and I was surprised to see that every seat had a single pot instead of the usual shared pot. I definitely like the single pot set up better since you don't have to fight over meat or broth and it's more hygienic. The ambiance was also very bright inside and the place felt very clean, from the bathrooms to the sauce bar! As for the foods, we opted for the Meat Lovers combo with Wagyu, Ribeye, and Toro meats and got the Sukiyaki broth and Tom Yum broth. The combo was reasonably priced since I feel like we got a little too much food. TBH I wasn't really a fan of the broths and I wish they had a wider selection. As for the veggies included in the combo, they did not skimp at all! They give a wide variety, from the greens to taro etc. However, I think what really sets this hot pot place from the others is that their meats are so good! Since we were sitting at the bar, we got to watch the workers cut each slab of meat to order, which made it feel all the more fresh. The meat was cut very thin, allowing it to cook faster and absorb more of the broth compared to other places. Overall, I would definitely come back again! ALSO, don't forget to check in and redeem your free cold sake!

Yelp
First time going here with my girlfriend. We got the meat lovers. For the meats we got the wagyu. Very delicious and tasty. The tum yum was delicious very rich and fresh. They also gave us a free shot. Great meat quality and broths. Big selection of sauces. Service was great. Very fast service. The server was very kind to kind us through the menu since it was my first time going. Great place location. Lighting was perfect. They sit big parties or just 1 person. Very clean place with great food.

Yelp
We got the Meat Lover for 2 combo (lamb & angus beef) then for my soup I got the Tom Yum. The meats were pretty good no complaints there, portion wise was enough for two people. Tom Yum was 8/10 - I've definitely had better at other places but this one was still pretty good! They have a sauce bar in which you could make your own sauce so that's nice.

Yelp
My sister loves this place so we had dinner here the other day. We came right when they opened so there's plenty of tables to choose from. Unfortunately we were assigned the worst table that is very dim compared to other tables. Ruined the atmosphere for me but I should have told them I wanted a different table. We got meat lovers combo (1 beef and 2 pork) with spicy butter broth. It was too spicy for me. I asked them to refill broth three times. Because it was so spicy I couldn't really enjoy it. I do like the meat, especially beef. Don't forget about the sauce bar right at the entrance! The staffs are friendly. Plenty of parking spaces in the structure. Will stop by again and will definitely choose a lighter broth.

Yelp
Your own personal pot of broth, good thin slices of meat, fresh vegetable, clean tables, and an OK sized selection of stuff to make your own dipping sauce. Mumu Hot Pot gives you a good experience when it comes to, well, hot pot. Came with a buddy of mine from out of town. Came pretty much right when they opened. Clean. Seated quickly, but already 1/3 of the tables were taken? Food came out quick and we started enjoying. The combo we shared was more than enough for the two of us. The sauce bag gave us more than enough for our choices. From being able to rock your socks off spicy to playing it safe with a sesame oil base, there are enough options to keep you satisfied. Definitely a place I'd want to visit again.

Food is great. Many choices of sides. Meats are delicious. Easy to park along the street
