Google
Muni recently debuted a brunch menu, so we decided to check it out on Sunday. I was curious what offerings they would have considering this is a thai-mexican fusion restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised! The chorizo wontons are a must. You have to get an order of their ham, egg and cheese empanadas... the crust was light, flaky and fillings were plentiful. I had the full breakfast. It was huge and executed perfectly, right down to my over-medium eggs. I'm not a big sausage person, but the sausage that came with it was delicious. As for beverages, be sure to try the Muni margarita. Spicy but not overpowering. Service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was fun and trendy. Sitting by the front windows provided a great view of the City Market and downtown KC. We will absolutely be back!

Wow I was actually shocked by how good the food tastes!!! lol ok the thaiqritos were so amazing wow. Absolutely could eat a whole plate of those myself. Delicious. I got the kow soi carne asada and I was so pleasantly surprised 🍜😋. I am not a huge curry person but the photos I saw looked so good I just had to try it and wow this was delicious!! Definitely reminded me of Thailand! Ugh delicious. This place is a bit pricy though but honestly worth it for like a fancy night out!! Service was good. The inside is super cute too. Mostly hight top tables though. But yum!!!! 🤤

Google
Food was outstanding! I would have given 5* but our service was a bit slow and we had an issue with one of the tacos being a bit burnt. The server said she would ask if the chef would remake it which I thought was odd considering all the beautiful pictures and excellent reviews they have. It was remaid and it was delicious! A little pricey but so unique flavors will definitely have me coming back.

I went for brunch on a recommendation from another restaurant that knew I loved fusion. I was greeted at the door by Pam, one of the owners, who introduced me to her partner and sat me at the bar. This place is BEAUTIFUL! Exposed brick, lots of natural light and they have it beautifully decorated with real plants as well as art and murals. I ordered the chorizo Rangoon and the pork belly sando. The Rangoon comes with a sweet & sour sauce, but now sauce is necessary. The chorizo has great flavor and the cream cheese is the right compliment. The pork belly sando - this is something! Two generous portions of crispy pork belly, a tangy sauce, house brined pickles and a sunny side fried egg on top. It is a mess to eat, but well worth it! Served on the side are breakfast potatoes, smashed fingerlings topped with queso fresco. Delish! Just needed some salt and pepper to finish it off and I really don’t like to season a dish after the chef has prepared it. I looked at some of the other items that my neighbors had and everything looked absolutely fantastic. Large portions, great eye appeal, interesting combinations and fusion of cultures. My bartender Ben was extremely knowledgeable, personable and friendly. Everyone called me by name with was impressive. I will most certainly recommend and return!

Google
Can’t say enough about Muni! Such a cool spot and vibe. The cocktails are so flavorful and strong in the best way! We got several different apps and then all shared the entrees and the food was all excellent. Spicy, creamy, crunchy, all the best texture and flavors in Thai and Mexican! Amazing place! You must go! The Birra dumplings and Kow Soi are two that I will get again and again!

Google
Food was delicious, service was quick and efficient, and we’ll definitely be back!Reservations are accepted, but there were plenty of tables when we arrived. The menu at Muni is Mexi-Thai, which is unique and full of amazing flavors! The beverage program is alcohol-driven, with mixers available. The ThaiMex tacos, Chorizo Rangoon, and Kow Soi are a must-try! Every dish was packed with flavor and creativity, making it a truly memorable experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole visit even more enjoyable.Muni is located in the Tribe Space, right on the streetcar line, and has a fantastic patio when the weather’s nice.

Google
Stopped in for a late night bite. Great take on Asian Mexican fusion food. I only wish we would’ve been hungrier to try more things! Opted for the chorizo Rangoon and the smash burger tacos. Both were excellent!! The rangoons were really interesting with the chorizo, in a good way. Sat at the bar and had good service. Good selection of wine and spirits. If you’re in the city market area, give it a shot!

Google
The Chorizo Rangoon were AMAZING!! The food came out fast, hot and delicious! The presentation the service chef’s kiss! The bartender was excellent and knowledgeable on the menu. I enjoyed the entire experience!

Yelp
The drinks here are great. The vibe is always nice! The food is consistently good! Service is always pleasant!

Yelp
Ambience: Welcoming interior with warm undertones in decor. Service: Friendly, no complaints! Taste: Tried the chive cake, birria dumpling, and tri thai tacos. The chive cake was flavorful and delicious, with a gooey inside and crunchy outside. The birria dumplings were great! The tri thai tacos were good, but I don't understand what made it "thai." Overall, good fusion restaurant, would recommend!

Yelp
Stopped in at Muni in the River Market and had to try their Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich. Let me tell you, it's every bit as good as it sounds. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the Thai chili salt creek farms hot honey adds a fantastic sweet and spicy kick. The Asian slaw and spicy mayo balanced everything out perfectly. This sandwich is absolutely delicious, but be prepared--it's super messy! You'll definitely need a stack of napkins, but it's totally worth the $16.00 price tag. The fries that came with it were also great. Our server was attentive and friendly, we'll definitely be back for another one of these sandwiches! It's a great addition to the neighborhood and definitely worth a visit in the vibes were on point!

Yelp
Great little place in the River Market area. I'm a sucker for fusion and innovative cusine. Nice bar/ restaurant atmosphere. Servers were nice and attentive. Obviously the food is the most important thing though, and it didn't dissapoint. We had the Birra Dumplings, the Smash Dat Muni, and the Braised Beef Kow Soi. Everything was delicious! Outside of it actually being a dumpling, the flavor was cheese and Mexican beef along with the dipping sauce. Loved the flavor. The burger too, with a nice layer of caramelized onions was cooked to perfection and it had a great bun too (I like good buns and I cannot lie.) The curry was delicious and had just the right amount of heat. Also just throwing this out there even though it seems obvious - if your partner/date/friend/whatever had fries, you need to dip the fries in the curry. If you've never done this, you'll thank me later.

Yelp
Their brunch deserves more than 5 stars honestly! We went on a Saturday at 12:30 & had no problem getting a table. Drinks & food came out quickly. Definitely recommend the empanadas for a shareable option.

Yelp
Finally made it down to Muni after seeing amazing Insta reels for weeks. Super cute place inside! We sat at the bar and had amazing service with Ben! Tried the Bloody Mary (great with a hint of spice!), Duck Duck Muni along with the Chorizo Rangoon during brunch. Great drinks and app. Can't wait to come back and try dinner. Ben was excellent!

Yelp
Muni is now open for brunch!! Perfect place to kick off a City Market weekend adventure starting at 10 am on Saturday and Sunday. Their brunch menu is just as delicious as their dinner menu. The Chinoquiles were flavorful and delicious with pulled pork and coconut curry salsa. The fried chicken biscuits and gravy came with stunning roasted potatoes. They also have a great brunch cocktail menu (including a blue drink with a rubber duck floating on it). Can't wait to come back to try more of the brunch menu!

Yelp
Muni is such a cool little place. The menu is smaller, which makes all the dishs seem special. They are very creative with some of the dishes. I was only popping in for a cocktail and an app before going to an escape room with a friend and man, I wish I tried more things! I tried the Birria Dumplings. Two of my favorite meals in one! It was mouthwatering and flavorsome. It was perfect size for what I needed. I also got the gimlet, which I was worried would be too much of a basil flavors but it wasn't. The wait staff was busy but very attentive. Prices are reasonable for the area of river market.

Yelp
Eating here made me so depressed that I don't live in Rivermarket anymore but i'm sure my wallet is happy. This food was amazing. Literally no notes. Mexican-asian fusion is the combo I never knew was missing from my life. I will be back to try everything on the menu

Yelp
Muni Has a BRUNCH Menu! This popular Thai-Mex restaurant now has a brunch menu! Menu highlights include: * chorizo rangoons (of course) * chinoquiles (Thai-Mex spin on chilaquiles) * fried chicken biscuits & gravy * grilled banana, bacon & PB French toast Muni has an array of delicious Thai-Mex fusion dishes. This spot also stays open late on the weekends and is a great place to go for date night!

Yelp
Had a friend suggest we give Muni a try, and I'm glad we went. The restaurant was too loud for conversation, but I could see individuals coming in for drinks or a quick bite before meandering elsewhere. As for food, I was impressed with the cook on the fried chicken sandwich. The meat wasn't overcooked, and the breading had nice flavor. I was also satisfied with the portion size and happy that it came with a side. We tried the crab rangoons, but we didn't feel like we'd order them again. Overall, we would go back to try some of their other dishes. Parking can be dicey, so I'd recommend others go on a weekday instead of a weekend.

Yelp
Pretty good but nothing special. I had the hot honey chicken sandwich and it was okay. Not very flavorful, but not bad. The fries were good. It's a cute place, probably good for happy hour or casual drinks and dinner.

Yelp
Wow! The food was easily a 10/10 for me! I went with a few friends and we ordered several dishes to share and we all loved everything! We went on a weeknight and it was quick and easy to get a table and our server was fast and friendly. If you're looking for a creative and fun place to go, this is the one! Also, the Muni Margarita really hit the spot and I highly recommend!

Yelp
Went to Muni for the first time and was really impressed. Where to start?! Would eat the tiger cry sauce out of the trash. So good. We tried the empanadas, rangoon, and wings for apps. The rangoon were the stand out here! Also got the nachos (but sub fries - excellent choice) and the chicken sandwich. Would absolutely go back for both and to try the dumplings. We also tried the smash burger. Didn't eat one bad thing. My spouse also tried the suffering bastard. He said it was delicious, so if you like whiskey and citrus, definitely give it a try! It was a very cute spot. A good date spot (but maybe not first date if you're shy about getting into it lol). We sat near the bar and really enjoyed watching food hit the window and the bartenders making drinks!

Yelp
Food was Delicious, service was quick and efficient and we'll be back! Reservations are not accepted, but there were plenty of tables when we arrived. The menu is Mexi-Thai and is unique and delicious! The Beverage program is alcohol driven with mixers being the only NA options available ( no iced tea... ) The ThaiMex tacos, Chorizo Rangoon, and Kow Soi are not to be missed. It's in the old Tribe Space, so right on the street car line with a Fantastic Patio when it's that season.

Yelp
Not gonna lie, at first my boyfriend and I weren't sure about this place. But, boy, were we wrong--Muni is so, so great! The cherry on top of this whole experience was our server, Diamond. She was so kind, very attentive despite how busy it was, and incredibly helpful when making our drink and food choices. The other staff were so great, too; our waters stayed full, dishes were continually cleared out of our way, they even unpaused the TV when it stopped! The food and drinks were incredible. I got the KC Loaded Nachos and the something Fizzy mocktail with vodka added. The nachos were so filling and had a great balance of flavors. The drink was refreshing and not too sweet. My boyfriend got the Thai Tacos and said they were phenomenal too. 11/10 experience! Cannot wait to come back and try everything else on the menu.

Yelp
Birria dumplings. Get it. Chorizo Rangoons. Get it. Fried chive cakes. Get it and have your mind blown. Zaap zaap shrimp. Get it if you like spicy. Hibiscus martini was okay. Restaurant was a little cold if you sit by the door. Staff was cool. Overall great experience.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Muni for a while so I was excited to finally get the opportunity. I stopped in to order some grub to go but the bar was pretty full. The staff were gracious enough to allow me to hang out at a table, order my food and have a drink while I waited. I ordered the Havana Club: old Tom gin, apricot, Swedish punsch, and lemon. This drink was so good, I wish I had a gallon of it. It was so refreshing but with lots of flavor. My Boyfriend tried the old fashioned and enjoyed it. The food came out super fast. And I really liked the way they packaged it. It was not just thrown together but was actually thought out. And I have to say that everyone we encountered was so nice and professional. Food. We started with the birria dumplings: Fried birria beef dumplings, cheese crust, consume, queso chihuahua, cilantro. So delicious! Like I would honestly order these as an entree and be happy as a clam. Good flavor. Highly recommend. For an entree, it was the hot honey chicken sandwich: Battered fried chicken, Thai chili Salt Creek Farms hot honey, lettuce, Asian slaw, brioche bun, spicy mayo, served with fries. They put the slaw on the side which is a huge A+ from me. That saved that delicious chicken from getting soggy. The sandwich had a nice heat but wasn't over the top spicy. Portion size was large. And I absolutely loved it! I'd definitely order and eat this again. The fries were also really good-nice and crispy. My boyfriend went with the Smash Dat MuNi: Two quarter pound beef smash patties, chili jam caramelized onion, American and Provolone cheese, spicy mayo, brioche bun, served with fries. He liked it plus he really liked the slaw that came with my sandwich. I have nothing negative to say. This was a 10/10 experience and I look forward to returning to eat and drink more tasty stuff.

Yelp
When I heard that the owners of Waldo Thai had opened a new restaurant with Latin and Thai-style food, I knew I had to go try it! After a few months since they opened, my boyfriend and I decided to have an unplanned date night on a Saturday evening and drove out to River Market for the night. I tried using Open Table to find last-minute bookings, but couldn't find any. So I looked through my saved collections on Yelp and remembered that I've been meaning to try Muni. It was fate when we found out that we didn't need to make bookings and that it was first come, first served. Though we had to wait a short time for a table when we got there, we were told that some seats at the bar had opened up, so we didn't have to wait as long for a table. When we asked the bartender for help with choosing food and drinks, she was friendly and willing to help. We made the choice to share the birria dumplings and pad gra pow empanadas after reading the menu. Each one was great, and the sizes were perfect for sharing. You can definitely tell the difference between the two meals if you've had a chance to try them separately. The pad gra pow empanadas definitely had flavors that were similar to the traditional Thai dish pad gra pow, which was spot on and delicious. The outside of the empanadas also had a tasty and unique texture. I couldn't get enough of it because it was so delicious and wonderful. I've found my new favorite place to go on a "treat yourself" date. If you want to do something different in Kansas City, I strongly suggest that you go to Muni. You won't be sorry. I can't wait to try everything else when I get back!

Yelp
Muni is filling a hole in the KC food scene by offering Asian/mexican fusion. The menu is genuinely exciting because they've taken our favorites from both food genres and paired them creatively. From what we ordered - I thought the apps were fine, not much to call home about but still fun to try something unique. Now the carne asada kow soi is the reason I'm telling people that they have to visit. It was so flavorful and just like a hug otherwise known as comfort food.

Yelp
Went in to try this place out for a Friday dinner, the place was cute and clean with a boho style vibe. Nice plants. The menu was very limited and mostly consisted of appetizers. We selected the wings and the Dumplings. These seemed more like pot sticker. I would like to see some more options of food and a better price point. They also didn't have happy hour.
google avatar

Monte' J.

Yelp
Stopped by for some small bites. Flavor was amazing , cool vibe and the kitchen was open until 12 am .
google avatar

Yelp
The food at this place is so unique and delicious! I saw on their menu online that they had these delicious fries and was disappointed when I saw the in person menu did not have this selection. The waiter suggested we substitute the nachos for fries and that was the best decision ever. The sauce was the perfect amount of creamy and savory paired with the pork. My favorite was the birria dumplings with consume. An insane do,binational that just worked so well. The only downside of this place is that they don't take reservations and are always busy. It was a 30 to 45 minutes wait and there is no seating area to wait other than outside. They also don't have a phone system to text or call you when the table is ready so you just have to be around and check back in. I would definitely try this place again but at a less busier time.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place for food and drinks, or to pregame before going out to dinner. Service was great and very consistent. We had an array of different dishes, but our top favorites were the Chorizo Crab Rangoon. I know, it sounds interesting, right? But trust me order this creamy goodness! Next up was the Carne Asada Kom Sow - pan noodles, coconut curry sauce, and steak. Count me in! It was absolutely delicious, with a nice kick if you like spice. As for dessert, the churros were amazing, crispy and not too sugary on the outside, with a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth center. I can't forget the drinks! The Hibiscus Daiquiri was by far my favorite a delicious hibiscus drink that packed a punch. Definitely add Muni to your list. It was a hit!
google avatar

Katlyn M.

Yelp
Read great things about this place but left underwhelmed. Started with the birria dumplings and rangoon (sorry forgot a photo). I was absolutely shocked when the order came out not even 2 minutes after we ordered. Like the server walked away and someone else came up with food which made it seem like they have stuff just on warmers and it's not prepared as a fresh order. The dumplings were smashed into one giant gooey dumpling thing that we had to cut into pieces. Flavor was pretty good but dry for a birria. Rangoon was fine. Got smash tacos and pozole with partner. Again, food came out super fast which was rather alarming. The tacos had good flavor but it seemed a little lacking on the fusion flavors. Pozole was salty and lukewarm with ok flavor overall. I will say the service was nice and efficient but overall underwhelmed by the food.

Celeste F.

Yelp
We took our adult kids to this restaurant. The food was amazing. We loved everything, the vibe and the service was great.

Yelp
Went to Muni for a Friday night dinner and loved it! Was crowded so got the last table available when we arrived but were waited on the quickly and food came to us quickly as well. Small but mighty menu - I LOVED the chorizo rangoons for the appetizers and the main dishes were solid. I got a Thai curry dish that was great (and had enough for leftovers) and my boyfriend got the smash burger which was pretty average.
google avatar

Amri L.

Yelp
The food was amazing! The curry is a must try! The empanadas were perfectly toasted! Who ever thought of a chorizo Rangoons deserves a Michelin star This is a restaurant that embodies fusion, each recipe was thought out and delicious! Perfect place for a first date, the tables are pretty close together so i wouldn't recommend groups larger than 5 IMO. Servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and helpful with choosing what's right for you!
google avatar

Gloria W.

Yelp
I had a great experience! The food was delicious. We ordered steak and cheese wraps, rangoons, dumplings, and beef empanadas for the table. The steak and cheese wraps were so good that I ended up ordering one to take home. Yum! Don't miss out on the blueberry margarita. I'm not normally a fan of blueberry, but that drink was surprisingly tasty!

Yelp
One of the best meals we've had In a while. Muni is a delicious and innovative Thai/Mexican fusion restaurant. Everything we had hit the spot, but our absolute favorites were the carne asada kow soi and birria dumplings. The menu offers an assortment of dishes that are great for sharing, almost a tapas vibe. Portions aren't huge, but still filling and don't lack in flavor. Drinks were just as fun and exciting as the food! Really enjoyed the hibiscus daiquiri and classic spicy marg (with a tajin rim obvs)! Service was kind and thoughtful, our server was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to the menu and making selections. Overall, seems like an excellent addition to the river market area. I can't wait for them to open up the patio area!
google avatar

Emma E.

Yelp
Obsess with Muni! Muni is the newest addition to the River Market area. This is such a great spot to grab a drink and a bit to eat. So many delicious cuisines to choose from. Each dish is packed with tons of flavor. Highly recommend the Kow Soi. Cannot recommend enough! Parking is available. Open late.

Yelp
What a beautiful Saturday night in KC and it was great to be out and about in the liveliness of the area in & around the River Market. Muni didn't disappoint! There were 7 of us and while the wait was a bit long (not unexpected for 7 on a Saturday night) we got drinks and brought them out onto the patio. We ordered the Hibiscus Daiquiri and Muni Margarita. The drinks were unique and a strong for us. Half of us focused on the variety of appetizers and the other half got a meal. Everything was extremely tasty and full of flavor. Three of us shared the Gapow Beef Empanadas (3), Birra Dumplings (5) and the huge KC Loaded Nachos. Others had the Tri Thai Tacos and Sticky Ribs. Everyone loved their meals. We loved the vibe of the Muni and the unique and delicious food choices.
google avatar

Lindsey L.

Yelp
When the opening of Muni was announced I was a little annoyed that it was yet another fusion restaurant. But at least it was only 2 countries being fused this time - Mexican and Thai. THEN I saw the menu and I was like THAI-quitos... I just don't know about this... Well i am here to tell you that I WAS WRONG. There is absolutely NO fusion confusion here. Muni is so damn good. All of the cocktails were delicious, as were the thaiquitos themselves and even the birra dumplings. I should've never doubted the team behind Buck Tui BBQ and James Beard semifinalist Waldo Thai. No reservations so visit on off hours or be prepared for a wait on the weekends. I genuinely can't wait to go back and try even more of the menu.
google avatar

Megan E.

Yelp
I went to this place a week ago, but it was kind of mid. The waitress and staff were nice and gave good recommendations, but their specialty item 'carne asada kow soi' was honestly mid tier . Maybe I just didn't like the coconut curry combination with the noodles, but the Carne Asada seemed well cooked. Overall, had a good crowd and seems to have good business as well.

Yelp
Really glad we tried this new restaurant in the River Market area. Great bar space with lots of bar seating but also plenty of tables. Came for an early dinner and service was a little slow with not many people in yet. Love the small plate concept and enjoyed the Asian Fusion. For two of us, ordered two plates and had plenty to eat. The cocktails are also Asian Fusion with fun infusions to give some old drinks a new twist. Would be a great place for a large group of people to try everything on the menu!

Yelp
Loved Muni! The food was really tasty, and you could truly taste the Mexican-Thai fusion. We tried the Sticky Ribs, KC Loaded Nachos, and the Carné Asada Kow Soi. The Carné Asada Kow Soi was the highlight, followed by the nachos and ribs. The ribs were the only thing that wasn't the best in terms of Thai-Mexican flavors, but still delicious. I will say that the food is not super spicy at all. Personally, I could use more spice in the dishes to bring out the Thai flavors, but I'm sure you can request that with the server. The ambiance is really cute and cozy, with a bar in the middle of the restaurant. What I really liked is how they are open and serving food until 12:00 AM. So if you're looking for a late dinner or snack that's of good quality, you can count on Muni. The service was also really great. Our server was super sweet and took care of us the whole time. **The only thing that I can think of that would make this place even better is offering vegetarian options. All of their main menu items contain meat, so I think they can definitely reach a broader audience if they incorporate meatless entrees.
google avatar

Tamia L.

Yelp
Sooooo... Thaï-Mexican? Dishes do cover that food distinction but there's more too! Our table tried: 1. MuNi Wings were hot, flavorful and the dips Sweet chili sauce were delicious, didn't like creamy tiger cry so much but my table mates loved it 2. Gapow Empanadas - pretty decent loaded with beef and rice... not enough cheese 3. Zaap Zaap Shrimp - simple grilled shrimp. 4. Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich just the right crispy, very juicy... just wish there was more Thai chili hot honey and spicy mayo to enhance the sandwich more! Loved the Asian slaw I'd definitely go back to try more dishes! The drinks are on the pricey side for the amount you're served but definitely filled with a rum punch and named flower! This is a great option in the River Market area!

Yelp
This place is FANTASTIC! If you love Thai and Mexican you will love this. So unique and the food is fire. Their smash burger was delicious and the bun was soft and just perfection. My favorite was the Emapanadas they were crispy and cooked to perfection. And the Carne Asada Kow Soi has SO MUCH FLAVOR! Their spicy margarita is also one of the best. This is a must try. They are open late and serve food late and great location. I can't wait to go back and try more of their food

Yelp
I walk down this street almost everyday so of course I had to check out the new restaurant, Muni. I was intrigued by the Asian / Mexican fusion concept (as someone who loves both) but I wasn't sure what to expect. Once we sat down, everything on the menu sounded good. We got the birria dumplings, city market rice bowl, sticky ribs, and the carne asada kow soi. All of the fused plates were great, would try them again. The sauces in the city market bowl and the kow soi was surprisingly spicy, in a good way! Menu items all seemed reasonably priced but potions were smaller than expected. Service was not the best. They were a bit busy for a Thursday night but died down eventually. Bar was backed up, server wasn't the most attentive. Will attribute this to the newness of the place and everyone still gathering their bearings. This won't discourage me, I'll be back soon! Parking: paid street parking, free street parking a couple blocks away, walkable, right by by the streetcarstop.

Yelp
When we arrived, the restaurant was packing, but they moved fast! We were seated within 15 minutes of waiting. Service was quick and attentive. The restaurant is spacious and clean. Food came out really fast. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the empanadas. The price is exactly what I expect to pay, especially in this prime location. I don't think it was pricey at all. However, I am disappointed at the most expensive item on the menu, curry kow sow. For $22, I expected to get more than 3 bites. The dish was packed with great flavors and spices, but the portion was so small. We ordered a few dishes as shareable but I left still feeling hungry. I think it is definitely worth checking it out. If I am in the area, I would stop by. But I probably won't order the kow sow again because of the small portion.

Yelp
The food was top notch and the drinks were beautiful, tasty, and strong! Service was also prompt and really attentive. We came on a Saturday night and it was busy but we immediately were offered two spots at the bar which had ample room for us. I would give this place 4 stars in all honesty since it's pretty dang pricey for the portions, but I am choosing to round up because they're new and probably will have some happy hour specials to watch out for in the future! Also the food was unbelievable. I got the zaap zaap shrimp and my friend got the empanadas!

Yelp
My friends and I wanted to check out Muni since they recently opened their doors in River Market. We shared a bunch of plates and were pleased with how delicious everything was! The Carne Asada Kow Soi was my favorite. The pickled shallot had a nice kick with the curry. The Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich was also a standout for me. The chicken was crispy and the slaw was so flavorful. The empanadas and birria dumplings were also good but slightly salty for me but I would still recommend. I also tried the Fist of Fury cocktail because the Thai chili in the drink was intriguing to me. It was delicious! The slight spice paired so well with the rest of the flavors. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful and our waitress was very helpful. Muni is truly the perfect evening dinner spot to hang out with friends. I would highly recommend checking out this spot!

Yelp
We had a great time here for dinner. The nachos were a tasty appetizer - lots of toppings! The shrimp was good with the aioli and slaw. My dates loved the chicken sandwich and the smash burger. The service was a little hectic - but it's the first week. Everyone was pleasant, seemed glad to be there and made sure we were taken care of. It's not a big place, so I'm sure they are excited for nice weather to be able to expand to the patio. Inside has tons of plants and a cool mural. Excited to come back and try other things on the menu - mainly the short ribs and the empanadas.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Muni for a loooong time and finally did this morning for their brunch collaboration with Pitchside coffee. So glad I was able to make it. I got the breakfast burrito, which had onions, peppers, eggs, chorizo & fries in a tortilla that was then warmed on a griddle. It came with a side of creamy tiger cry sauce, which I would use on everything if I could. I met Ted, the owner, there and he was super friendly and welcoming. This was outdoors on their patio with a tent set up, so I can't comment on the ambiance of the restaurant, but everything in the tent was clean so I imagine the restaurant is the same. I'll definitely be back to try their regular menu next time I make it to River Market!

Yelp
Muni opened this week in the River Market, so had to stop in for a couple of drinks. Our server Ryan was delightful and helped us pick out a couple cocktails - Fist of Fury {Thai Chili and Basil Infused Vodka, Velvet Falemum, Ginger Beer} and the Pendennis Club {Old Tom Gin, Apricot, Lime, Peychaud's}. Both were delicious, the first being typically quite spicy, but we were able to modify it to be less spicy and it was perfect (s/o to Linnae who I think made it). We met and chatted with BBQ master Craig, who gave us the scoop on the menu. They're currently on an opening menu but on it are some staples that are expected to stick around. There's a vegan option, the Tri Thai Tacos with jackfruit, that sounds delicious. Excited to return to try the food!

Yelp
my wife and i went with another couple and had a good time. do not be discouraged by the wait time. things move fast! their menu is really unique but simple. would recommend the tiger cry fries. the hot cheeto sprinkle sets it off! the chorizo rangoon is another great starter. we all got the smash dat muni burger. it was so good. i typically don't get onions on my burgers but this was a rare time i did and it did not disappoint. i got the el diablo cocktail and it was mixed perfectly. it's a little busy around and not too loud. just some hustle and bustle.
