MUNI KYOTO

This place is absolutely breathtaking! The staff is super friendly, the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the views are beyond beautiful!. If you’re looking for “zen”, “relaxation” or “romance” this is your escape away! It was so relaxing staying at this hotel and the complimentary pajamas and amenities they offered were great as well. Both shower and bathtub were also large and spacious. Very clean. Our favorite hotel in Japan. Only thing they are missing is offering in-room dining but that’s only if I’m being picky/critical. 10 stars out of 10, highly recommend!!

A Tranquil Gem in the Heart of Arashiyama MUNI KYOTO is an absolute gem. Nestled right by the river in the charming town of Arashiyama, the location alone feels like a serene retreat. We stayed on the first floor with a garden and water view, which was so peaceful and scenic it felt like stepping into a painting. The room was spotless, beautifully laid out, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail felt intentional. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was a standout—delicious, artfully prepared, and a true culinary experience. Highly recommend MUNI KYOTO for anyone looking for a boutique stay that’s both refined and relaxing. It was the perfect base for exploring Arashiyama and an experience in itself.

This was THE most aHmazing hotel I’ve ever stayed in Tokyo. It was my first time in Kyoto most specifically but - ohh my, the bery best. From the location to the staff, the food, the amenities. I cannot wait to come back here. We stayed in the emperor suite - husband and children. We had so much fun! Please stay here. Loved everything about it, specially the staff! Thank you for all!

We loved Muni so much - the service, food and location were sublime. The room was so big and the view was priceless - we sat outside on the balcony all day with tea listening to the sound of the river. It was a great balance of privacy but also being able to see Arashiyama. Thank you!

I booked the half-board option, which included dinner at MUNI Alain Ducasse, the hotel’s Michelin one-star contemporary French restaurant. Every dish was exquisite—an unforgettable culinary experience. But the true highlight of Muni Kyoto is its unbeatable location. Nestled right by the picturesque Katsura River and just a short stroll from the iconic Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, it’s perfectly situated for both relaxation and exploration.

Terrific location, high-tech yet tasteful interior decor (modern minimaliste), sumptuous breakfast with river view during sunrise, plus friendly & attentive hotel staff who are always ready to help! No hesitation to recommend this luxury hotel in Arashiyama Kyoto 5-Stars *****

Attentive and polite staff. Modern minimalist design of the facility. Extremely clean. Amazing food and the view from the restaurant.

The hotel is amazing and the service is excellent but it’s area is very quiet at night.. I would not recommend it specially for first timers in Kyoto
