Munich Airport's Christmas Market Has 2 Ice Rinks and Almost 500 Real Trees

"On November 17, Munich Airport opened its 44-stall Christmas market amid nearly 500 pine trees in the covered space between its airport terminals. The market features local handicrafts, seasonal treats like Glühwein and bratwurst, and a 50-foot tall Christmas tree. The main attraction is a skating rink with free entry and an adjacent ice rink for Eisstockschießen. The Wintermarkt is easily accessible from the S-Bahn and by car. Munich Airport is Europe's first five-star airport, with additional attractions like Europe's largest roofed-in beer garden and an alpine-themed restaurant."

Google
Munich Airport is by far one of the best airports I’ve ever traveled through. The entire experience was smooth, efficient, and genuinely enjoyable. From the moment I arrived, everything was well-organized, clean, and clearly signposted. Security checks were fast and professional, with friendly staff ensuring everything moved quickly. The terminals are modern and spacious, offering plenty of comfortable seating and natural light, which makes even long layovers pleasant. One of the standout features is the wide range of shopping and dining options – including several halal food choices, which was a huge plus. There are also relaxation areas, children’s play zones, and even a visitor park if you have extra time. Overall, Munich Airport sets a high standard for international travel – clean, efficient, and traveler-friendly in every way. Highly recommended!"

Google
June 2025 5* Transfer ———— Transit through the airport for my flight from Toronto to Hamburg and back. I need to go through immigration both on arrival and departure. The immigration was very smooth as there were not many people. You don’t need to go though security check. The walking distance between both gate was fine and you can easily manage transfer within 44 mins. Airport has big shopping and dinning area. Amazing to see special pod as well. You can relax near the gates.

Google
One of the busiest airports in the world and its all a mess. But if you are a EU Citizen everything is smooth. I am a non EU citizen and we had to do the immigration and the queue was pretty long and yes, if you have a phone with owrking internet and translator everything is cool. Wheelchair friendly access everywhere with elevator and top notch facilities everywhere and it is connected to all the terminals by shuttle service at no cost. Overall a nice airport and we need to hurry if you have a connection flight with less than 2 hour for transit. Overall a good experience.

Google
It's pretty small airport for an international flights. It takes around an hour to go out the immigration border. And also takes hours for the luggage. It's even so crowded when holiday season. Not child friendly. Terminal 2 (Lufthansa Group) is better than the Terminal 1.

Google
It is very clean, efficient and easy to navigate. The 2 passenger terminals (1 & 2) face each other and within short walking distance. This airport offers a wide variety of dining and retail selections. It is also close to city with good train connection.

Google
I've had arrival, departure and - most of all - transfers at this airport and can definitely recommend it for your journey. Clean (including toilets), comfortable (great loungers) and all-around easy to navigate. Many good shops and restaurants, especially in the morning they have fresh pretzels. Compared to Frankfurt Airport is like heaven and hell. Never had any problems at Munich and hopefully never will!

Google
Great views of the planes taking off from mostly everywhere in the airport. The transit area has a good variety of souvenir shops and food. Fast security and check in into the transit area. I think the departure and arrival areas could be refreshed to be more modern.
google avatar

Kenny J.

Yelp
Super easy to navigate. I love it has a train station at the airport so you can drop in from anywhere in the world and begging your travel hassle free! Could use some more lounges but that is an airline thing!
google avatar

Yelp
Had an international layover at MUC during recent trip and some pros and cons that I found. Pros - large and relatively clean, plenty of bathrooms, and decent shopping options (did not try any of their food options) Cons- almost no charging options for those with American charging plugs; only saw USB type plugs so good luck there. Lots of additional security measures considering no immigration (for a layover). Away from the city so that limits options to get out and explore during a longer layover.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Repeated passport control. There is no food at the gates and you have to go through passport control just to get to a food stand. Staff is very very very unfriendly. At the passport controls my 85 year old mom was randomly pulled out of the departure hall to go through security check, x-ray again. When planes arrive, the entire terminal is roped off. They cannot deplane and keep the terminals open at the same time! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Yelp
Few pro-tips right off the bat: 1. This airport is MASSIVE. Plan on taking 30-45 minutes to find your gate. Arrive early with enough time to decipher where you need to be. 2. Just because you land at terminal 2 and your next flight is on the same terminal and same airline DOES NOT mean you won't have to hop on another shuttle and walk 15 more minutes to your next gate. Never assume anything here. 3. Speaking of not assuming anything- just because the arrival/departure board tells you a time and gate for your flight DOES NOT mean that it's correct. Check your departure boards early and often. 4. They don't have many bottle filling stations so when you see one, fill your empty bottle(s) right away because there might not be another one for a while. 5. Plan on taking a staircase to get to your plane. They don't always use jetways. Even on our long-haul flight from Munich to home, we still had to use a good old-fashioned stairway. I have no idea how the people on crutches or in wheelchairs got on. 6. Get the schnitzel from The Flave of Munich. It's delicious and as far as airport food goes, it's worth the money. 7. As far as my research goes, there aren't any good espresso places, so don't trouble finding the best one. Just get topped off at the most convenient one to you. Enjoy your trip!
google avatar

Gail U.

Yelp
If you don't speak German you're at a disadvantage. Met at least 2 perhaps 3 helpful employees at Frankfurt and Munich Airports. Even if you request a wheelchair from home airport service after that is hit or miss. Your request may be in the system but compliance we found out is only one hour before your flight and we had a 10 hour layover in Frankfurt and a 5 hour layover in Munich. Once you take the bus between terminals to your departure gate you have no access to tax refund or shops to splurge your remaining euros. You are basically stuck at your gate. Guess need to find currency exchange in the states or plan another trip to Europe again. Instead of Lufthansa our flight is now listed as United Airlines. We can't wait to see grandpup after a 12+ hour flight from Munich to California.
google avatar

Bhagyashree B.

Yelp
The arrivals area of the Munich airport is quite grand, with huge electronic billboards and even a brewery (Airbrau) outside the baggage claims area. There are clear signs in English and Deustch making it easy to navigate through the terminal and make your way outside. City metro passes can be purchased at the information desk with a metro stop on the basement level just a short walk away.

Yelp
We had a layover at this airport on our way to Greece. The airport itself was really large. It had a large section for shopping, as well as the obvious airport functions of gates, baggage claims, and ticketing. Being from the United States, I was really taken aback as we don't have airports like this at home! I enjoyed how they had shops and stands to get a quick bite and enjoy the flavors of Germany from the airport. Even though we did not visit Germany properly, we were still able to try some authentic Haribo gummy bears and German pretzels. This airport was beautiful and I would love to come back one day and actually see Germany!
google avatar

Fè M.

Yelp
Large airport! Plan a minimum of 1.5 hour layover in case of delays! This airport reminds me of a mall! It's huge, clean, and has great places to shop and eat!

Yelp
I've been through this airport only through layovers to and from the US to Italy and have found it to be way easier to manage than Frankfurt airport. This airport is a bit smaller than Frankfurt so not as crowded. I've primarily passed through the international terminals and they have lots of shopping and I saw a few food options as well. Upon arriving from the US, you have to go through customs which initially looked intimidating but the lines moved along at a good pace. Waiting at the departure gate itself, there were not many seats available so lots of people were standing crowded around the gate 30 minutes before boarding. I also dislike the fact that you have to climb down stairs and board a bus that has to drive you to your plane. And then proceed to climb up more stairs to actually enter the plane. Not sure how people with disabilities can manage this. Otherwise, I had a good experience at this clean and modern airport.

Yelp
Munich's international airport has been one of the more confusing airports I have been to. It's a good size airport that consists of two terminals with a central hub area between them. Flying into and out to the USA, I went through terminal 1. I assume this is where many of their international flights pass through. Terminal 1 felt older and there was a lot of renovation occurring along the terminal. A shuttle service took us between our plane and our arriving / departing gate, as opposed to gangplank at the gate itself. They cram nearly everyone onto these shuttles. It was quite tight. The terminal was clean. Once inside the airport , I couldn't find any airport maps. This was my first time in Munich. Directional signs were vague and limited. I had stopped a few times to ask for directions. Often, I found myself walking about aimlessly looking for what I needed, whether it was my ticket check-in for my departure or my transportation service. The center of the airport is where one will find restaurants, shops, rental cars and transportation or travel services. It was all quite confusing. So do allow yourself some extra time if you have never been to this airport before.

Yelp
This airport is practical and very easy to navigate. It offers a variety of shops and restaurants for long layovers or for those getting here early to pick up arriving passengers. The best part about traveling to and from MUC at this time of year is the Christkindlmarkt. This Christmas market is located outside, under the awning between terminals one and two. You will find all kinds of Bavarian food specialties, toys, clothing, a variety of Christmas decorations and even a public ice-skating rink with rental skates. The festive atmosphere makes you forget that you're actually at an airport. Just be careful not to miss your flight.

Yelp
2024-07-06. Munich International Airport (MUC) Germany. This airport is both massive and beautiful. Large spaces and corridors with wide berths to facilitate foot traffic. It was super busy and took a while to get through luggage check and then security. Pro tip: If you're not traveling with kids under 18, use the automated machines and scan your passport. It has facial recognition and gets you through a lot faster than the queue. There are lots of gates at MUC, and if you're at gates J, K, L, you'll need to take the tram in the lower level. The airport is no slouch after security either; in fact, it gets even more expansive with over 150 shops and over 65 restaurants to keep you occupied until boarding time. If you would rather relax, they even have lounger for you to take a nap! (See pics) Business traveler short on time? They have shower facilities too! (€17). Overall, MUC is clean and comfortable. The one thing it does lack is air conditioning. It's on, but it's barely a dribble and not enough to cool off the amount of traffic that flows through on a continual basis. The only other notable is that the free WiFi is shoddy. Not sure if it's due to load issues or lack of repeaters, but the free wifi on the subways was way better... If you'd like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com. I'd love to have your company... Bon Voyage!

Yelp
Pros: Good food options, plenty of high-end stores and duty free shops. To note: There aren't many food options, so be prepared for that. It took 45 minutes to get through the United bag check and another 20 to get through security. At the United Airlines line, workers kept leaving their posts at the baggage line and they kept asking for people who were going to various U.S. cities because the lines were super long, so the people traveling there would've been late if they had waited in the lines for the total 45 minutes. At security, the workers were asking people individually if they have any makeup, creams, etc, which made the lines longer. Also, security workers don't allow people to grab trays to put their stuff in: THEY will get the trays and put your stuff in there FOR you, which also slows down the process. After security, you have to go through yet ANOTHER passport check at the "Automated Border Control," as well as a passport check to get to the gate, which makes for FIVE checks before you even get to your gate. In total, it took my husband and me almost TWO HOURS to get to our gate once we arrived at the airport. I've flown in and out of five country ports, lived abroad in two different countries, been to over 20 American cities, have been to six countries, and this was THE MOST stressed I've been at an airport! There HAS to be a better way to make this system easier, quicker, and more efficient than the way it is at Munich Airport. There HAS to be a better system, and Munich hasn't found it yet. If you arrive at this airport for an international flight, arrive at least five hours early if you want a relaxing experience. For domestic flights, I would say arrive three hours early. Overall score: F

Yelp
Great experience here as compared with other German cities. So far my experience is that this airport is not nearly so crowded and chaotic as Frankfurt or Berlin.. definitely my first choice to book direct in or out of this airport whenever possible.
google avatar

Steven S.

Yelp
So far so good. Only here for 30 minutes and on our way! Planes are clean and the rest of the place is nice. We didn't get to stay too long here. The service and people are very nice and helpful. The overall feel of the trip was good and worth the time and effort. Traveling these days is tough all around and they did the best to make sure we arrived alive. On board snacks and drinks also a plus. Make a trip and see for yourselves
google avatar

Adam P.

Yelp
The Munich International Airport is very nice, clean, and well-organized, with plenty of food and drink options. Security was kind of a mess when we were there, but it was also Oktoberfest, so there was probably a little more traffic than usual. Overall, it is a great airport.
google avatar

Leo L.

Yelp
I don't know if they were having some technical difficulties or strike, the airport was in complete chaos when I arrived. The line to the security was so long it extends all the way to the baggage drop. Many people were about to miss their flights so they had to squeeze through all the people to get ahead...by the way, the escalators weren't working as well...

Bora S.

Yelp
Shame on operator of this airport. Flew to Munich from USA. From arrival to departure nothing but slow and nasty service by ground services. It takes forever to pass the passport control no organization what so ever. Waiting lines are all over the place. Waiting for luggage was an another issue. I rather fly to another city in Europe to use as a transit location.
google avatar

Julianne P.

Yelp
Busy airport and S8 wasn't working when we arrived or left Munich. Our luggage was also lost for a few days and staff weren't as helpful as we were hoping they would be.
google avatar

Kevin Z.

Yelp
Fairly modern inside, clean facilities, plenty of shipping if you like that. The Big draw for me was the nap pod they have,,,,clean, I really slept 5 hours. Biggest negative is the prehistoric was to load people from gate into a crowded bus, drive bus all around, unload with chaos into plane.
google avatar

Rex K.

Yelp
Lots of remote parking stands meaning you often will have to wait for stairs and a bus to get to the terminal. My group of three had a suitcase each, all tagged priority. As we waited to board the bus I watched all three be offloaded from the plane one after the other. Waiting at the baggage carousel, 2 come off pretty promptly. 30 minutes later we're still waiting for the third to arrive. I check with the lost baggage office who suggest to try a different belt on the complete opposite side of the terminal. No joy. We try again in the lost baggage storage facility. Still no joy. Eventually we found it on a different belt again from the one their system thought it might have been on, and not one advertised for our flight. There was no logical reason for this to happen, and caused a substantial delay to our trip.

Yelp
I have been in Munich airport years ago to change planes, but this time around it seemed way bigger. Maybe they built on since then. I had a 7 hour layover (thanks Lufthansa for changing my itinerary!) so I got to know this airport pretty well. From the plane we were taken on the bus to our gate and terminal, not my favorite. Since I had a long layover I had to wait in the terminal where I arrived for hours till I got to see what gate they had my next flight scheduled. The airport is big, airy, modern, super clean. The bathroom are very clean and plentiful. There are enough shops around if you need things but they close early at 4 pm? They have some recreation areas where you can rest, quiet areas, on paper it sounded ideal, we were exhausted, but in reality... people bring their toddlers here, they have face time conversations, watch Tik-Tok videos without headphones, you get the picture. In another part of the airport the area was full with people laying on the ground. They also have some nap pods, they do charge for those, and it looked a tad strange. Hard to rest, but enough seating areas. Food options- not so many or great. We looked for a Donner Kebab place, they had it listed on the site, but couldn't find it at the terminal. Good wifi. Our departing gate had barely any seating (10 maybe) comparing to other parts of the airport (I guess for flights going to Romania they didn't think we need much seating). Crammed, small, bad boarding process. So this airport is a mixed bag!
google avatar

Annie W.

Yelp
Nice clean airport with great signage, so it's easier to find where you have to be. They even tell you how long it'll take to walk to your destination. The stores are mostly high end designer shops and the restaurants are rather pricey. Not a lot of seating for people waiting for their gates to open. Access to my gate area wasn't available until two hours before my scheduled departure. Lots of security present. I had to go through passport control twice before getting to my gate and there are security officers around with their German shepherds. Certainly does make one feel safer, though. Just make sure you have plenty of time! The only negative is that there are no charging stations anywhere to be found.
google avatar

Anthony F.

Yelp
An excellent airport on par with the best of the world. It lacks movie theaters, parks, and showers but it's clean and efficient.
google avatar

Patrick A.

Yelp
Flying from LAX through here on the way to Florence on 8/28/23, dozens of suitcases didn't make the flight and have been sitting in Munich airport for over a week now. Three of the suitcases have trackers and have been tracked to Munich airport where they are all in the same area but now haven't moved in over 5-days. Lufthansa is trying to help, making some phone calls and letting us know that the bags haven't been scanned in Munich yet. Munich airport has been unhelpful and says to contact the airline. It's frustrating knowing where the bags are but being unable to have them sent.
google avatar

Cathy C.

Yelp
There's something about German efficiency that I love very much. Ticketing, security, immigrations, and boarding were very organized - during arrival and departure. Everything is a breeze and goes smoothly at this airport. If taking a train/metro to/from the city center, it takes close to an hour. There are decent options when it comes to restaurants and shopping. And airport employees are helpful.
google avatar

Jamie S.

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of this airport compared to others in Europe. You have to make sure you a 3 hours early for sure for an international flight back to the US because it took over an hour just to check in and check bags. It's poorly designed where you have to be bussed to and from the plane as part of the boarding process. The shopping options aren't great either. I expected more.
google avatar

Dan A.

Yelp
I've traveled to MUC multiple times and mostly for a connection. Munich was my final designation on a recent trip and I was surprised the bags were already off the carriage by the time I go there. Part it was quite a hike from the gate and part efficiency. An abundance of restaurants and shops including Duty Free. I saw an Airbrau Biergarten in-between Terminal 1 and 2 & a Bayern fan shop in each of the terminals. I took the S8 to get here and it was simple and easy. If you need to go to the City Center/Central Station from MUC, opt for the train-Taxi was over 100 Euros. Check-in/bag drop off process was seamless with fast bag drop available. Busy on a Friday early. This time around some delay with boarding the bus to the plane. Overall, friendly employees, clean and mostly has run smoothly.
google avatar

Ron H.

Yelp
MUC to us is a premier airport, which might serve as a model for future US airports. We designed a recent 4 week tour of the Continent with MUC as the starting point. Very modern with both domestic and international terminals. Also a good point for auto rental and later train departures. Highly recommend
google avatar

Nijole T.

Yelp
Clean and well run airport. Great food options, helpful people very good signage and plenty of rental car options. Parking is easy and our flights have been on time.
google avatar

Lynette R.

Yelp
Decent enough airport with ample food and shopping g options. I didn't venture out past my terminal and gate 2G, but I think there were also F-L gates in the 2nd terminal to explore

Sebastian K.

Yelp
Having to wait for busses to take you to an international transatlantic flight in a large aircraft is ridiculous!
google avatar

Yelp
"I may not be a human, but I am a man." - Twilight What can I say about a huge international airport I didn't get to enjoy? Well let's see if I can write this in under 15-minutes because that's the amount of time it took me running from one end to the other lol! Oh! my flight landed in München, Germany from Florence, Italy... almost 2-hours late! The end. Well... Fortunately, the Lufthansa agent held the plane for that one person... me! 149 passengers waiting for Eric! Haha! Danke sehr to all involved! I'm still in bewilderment on why the flight was delayed in the first place, but I hope and pray the group that sprinted in different directions got on their flights. München Franz Josef Strauß Airport was just a blur because I needed to catch my flight to Paris! I ran like the 100m high school champ that I am, or was, albeit many moons ago and huffing and puffing like that victim in a Twilight movie. And of course the connecting flight has to be at the other end! FML! I had it all planned out with a German pretzel & Beer on my over 2-hours layover. Sadly, the quick snapshot in München never took place because it ended up a sprint to my next gate... 100m champ! :0 Fine. This only motivates me to visit Deutschland next time for real. At least a weekend or so and with Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier in one hand a gigantic pretzel in the other! Still debating on suspenders and knee highs if you're into that! Lmk ;) 15-minutes later... I managed to board my Paris flight on the last seat on Lufthansa! Doors closed after me! I miss those days in the Twilight Saga, but life goes on. Prost to more Adventures. Godspeed. Oh! At least I got Yelp's Germany Pretzel badge! :D
google avatar

Greg T.

Yelp
Decent international airport with a spacious and clean terminal. Plenty of dining options and the Duty Free was huge. Lounge options are great, especially the LH lounges. Only issue is the remote gates that are always unpleasant to travel to and from.
google avatar

Mick A.

Yelp
Great airport but the restaurant 4URBS in Terminal 2 has horrible service and very rude staff. I thought my first experience there was a bad day for them but I tried again today and exactly same horrible experience. The manager is behaving the same way so the airport should really reach out to the owner. They yell PASS at you when they need to get by and bump into you before you can move. When you ask for them for something simple as napkins they treat you like a child. The poor service impacts the entire airport experience. A shame because all other places are great.
google avatar

Helen H.

Yelp
The last time I was here, it was because of a layover. We enjoyed German food at the Airbrau restaurant. This time, we flew domestically from Berlin to Munich. We took the S-Bahn to the city center, which takes about 40 minutes. The train runs often- every 10 minutes. Departure- It took a bit of time to check-in our bags, but everything else was fine. We arrived early because we needed to get a VAT refund. Luckily, there wasn't a line for the customs stamp for the tax free form or for ReiseBank/ Global Blue. It depends on your purchases if you go to ReiseBank or Global Blue. The sucky thing about ReiseBank is that they only do cash, while Global Blue does both cash or credit.
google avatar

Israel G.

Yelp
The US airport have to step up their airport game!! Lol In this airport you'll find sleep pods, smoking areas inside the terminals, vending machines, restaurants, very comfortable seats at the flight gates, and charging stations everywhere. I felt very comfortable throughout the terminal. I would recommend slowing down the flight information screens. The flight times and gate information screen is very hard to read because it scrolls too fast!
google avatar

Ed A.

Yelp
Quite possibly one of the worst airports in Europe. Extremely slow and convoluted security line. The supposed "business class" lane is just as long as every other lane. Either everyone in this continent flies business or the airports operation staff aren't doing their jobs. To top it off there's no working air conditioning in the dead of summer so be prepared to arrive at your gate (if you ever get there) extremely sweaty and flustered.

Ken P.

Yelp
Hate this airport. Security is a zoo. No one checking everyone cutting this lines. Barely controlled chaos. Now I remember why we avoid this airport at all costs
google avatar

Mathew G.

Yelp
I had a super short layover here on my way to my next destination. However the process of getting through immigration and to my next gate was extremely quick! Such a nice and clean airport. I can't wait to fly out of here again sometime.
google avatar

Brittany N.

Yelp
This by far was one of the cleanest, well-structured airports I have been to by far! The only negative was when we got off the plane, in order to get to our next section, we walked down so many halls, it seemed like forever. Every turn we hit, it was another hall, then another. But being as it was so clean, it wasn't much of an issue. I can't wait to come to visit Germany, we were only here to catch another connecting flight to Los Angeles. The natives told me to know in advance when we come back to this country that everything is expensive. I thought that was interesting.. but again this is just an opinion from a few natives I met here,... Security was quick and efficient. I also saw a sign that said there is a shower here to freshen up in-between flights,I also have never seent hat before either.

Yelp
This is my least favorite airport of all time. The signage and gates are confusing and the layout makes no sense. Make sure to prepare yourself to stand in several pointless lines for absolutely no reason. Also, if you are looking for decent food options during your layover, you won't find any here. With that said, if you are looking for a stale pretzel or a pre-packaged hot dog with a shelf life of 10 years, this is the place for you!

Yelp
The Munich airport is, like most things here, clean, well-run, efficient, and super nice. It feels modern, customs is easy to navigate, signage is easy, and I was easily able to make my way to the train that runs into the city center and find my way to the platform in order to get to my hotel. I didn't spend a lot of time here because it's efficient but the time I did spend was stress-free and pleasant.

Yelp
Ordered the prosciutto pizza and it was superb. Definitely worth it. I never had a great food in an airport. This one blew my mind off. The prosciutto, cheese, veggies, crust, and everything inside that pizza was made to perfection!

Yelp
I forget what time my Mum, sister, and I arrived in Munich Airport on the way to Rome but I love the extra tattoo on my passport.....thank you! The lines were not long. They had people making sure you went through smoothly. When we got to the airport there were a lot of people there but it was quiet in a weird way. They have displays in the hallways and on the walls that I should have taken pictures up but we were busy looking for our gate which wasn't that far. They don't have many chairs to sit. One thing about airports in Europe that's a bit stressful is they are super on time. I can see a lot of Americans losing their flight. For instance, when your flight is at 3:30, the airplane has been in the air for 10-15 minutes. There's no running to the gate and barely making it. They get you on board 45 minutes before take off. That's my experience with flying in Europe. It's a nice neat restaurant. If you have a long layover they have sleeping capsules which are really cool. I wonder if they are comfortable Anyway very soon after we landed in Munich we were on our way to Rome. Clean airport. Very clean.

Yelp
Inefficient security check point especially for an international airport. Easy to get to the airport via the trains but you also have to account for the trains being late.

Yelp
Not a bad "little" airport. It has decent restaurants, stores and even a great sleeping area. Not as crowded as some of the large international airport. Can be confusing when you arrive as signage isn't always clear to help you understand what terminal you are in.

Yelp
Very efficient and clean airport. Plenty of seating area with charging ability and lots of smaller food places.

Yelp
So much for that German efficiency. They're still good at making people wait in lines. I don't know why the police were herding us away from the stairs with machine guns, but it was decidedly disorganized.
