Absolutely loved the donuts, my wife enjoyed them also. Went on Sunday morning and the young girl that helped me said her name was Emily. She was very kind and helpful and took her time with me when I was not sure exactly what I wanted. Great patience and customer service.

Munster Donut has spoiled me for all other donut places. Literally the best donut place in the whole damn state and Chicago area. I live 90 minutes away, but whenever I'm headed to see family in Chicago I always stop and grab a dozen, no matter what time of day. The dough is always perfect, and the Bavarian cream filling is the best you can get short of homemade.

Imagine you’re getting gas only to be over come with a sweet dough smell in the air, completely covering any gasoline. You look ahead and see Munster Donuts. This place is an absolute must if you like fresh donuts. I promise you, make the trip and you will not be disappointed. I’ve tried them all and they are all great. Very reasonably priced too compared to Dunkin Donuts.

Walking up, you'd think that you're at an everyday donut shop. But, it's far from it. Everyone is sweet and friendly. Everything is pristine! They have plenty of seating. But, most of all they have an endless selection of donuts! Which, made it difficult to choose just one donut. So, I bought a half dozen Apple filled donut- The donut was airy and fluffy. With a thin sticky sweet glaze. It was filled with an apple pie filling. Which, was ooey gooey and delicious. It tasted like your grandmas apple pie! Pure heaven. Coconut cream- The donut was delicate and decadent. It was covered in layers of powdered sugar. The filling was velvety, creamy, and dreamy. It tasted like a tropical vacation. Absolutely delicious! Powdered blueberry-The donut was fluffy and light. It was covered in powdered sugar which, tasted great! The filling was thick and filled with tiny wild blue berries. Which, popped in your mouth with little burst of flavor. It was unreal! You have to try it. Powdered lemon- The donut was airy and delicate! It was rolled in layers of powdered sugar. Which, made it look as if it snowed after one bite. I loved it! The filling was rich and full of zesty lemon notes. Along, with buttery creamy notes. It tasted as if they filled the donut with lemon curd. Absolutely amazing! German chocolate donut- The donut was dense and decadent! The chocolate was rich, nutty, and delicious. Pure perfection! It was dipped in a glaze which was covered in layers of toasted coconut. It tasted just like a slice of German chocolate cake. I couldn't get enough of it! Unbelievably perfect! If you're looking for a new go to donut shop. Come here! You'll fall in love with everything that you try. Just like I did.

Simple and busy doughnut shop. We came in, made our selections and got out. Doughnuts were great, service was quick and friendly. A local favorite for what we heard, and I can see why. The Apple fritter was delish, and massive, should have split it

Delicious donuts, fair prices, and outstanding service with a smile! The woman who was running the show when I was there gave my son a treat for waiting (mostly) patiently. I'd add a pic, but he devoured it! It's the kind of place that seems like it might be cash only, but they do take cards.

Delicious donuts. Good prices. Friendly service. Cute little shop. Convenient location. I can see why this place seems to be a local favorite. And I will absolutely go back. But just one note for out-of-towners: they have donuts that look like cream sticks but they call them something else. (I can't remember what.) These are not cream sticks. THERE IS NO CREAM. For me this was a disappointment but, to be fair, no one ever told me there would be cream. I was just projecting my own cultural baggage.

Do yourself a favor and get the sour cream donut!! Creative functional check in and check out process for a small space and it completely gives you nostalgic vibes (*double if you pick up a school lunch chocolate or white milk carton on your way in) For all the years I have been coming here, their customer service is nostalgic of mom and pop family run businesses. I've seen the labor force change from generation to generation. So it's gotta mean that this is a great job to have and/or the making of the donuts in house gives out feelings of joy and happiness.

I went in to buy a half-dozen doughnuts on my drive back to Chicago and this place was right off one of the exits and on my way. Totally hit the spot! It was also about an hour before close, so they set me up with another half-dozen freebies. Score!

Best tasting donuts ever! The chocolate ice ring donut is Light and fluffy with just a slight crisp on the outside from frying, complimented with the perfect amount of chocolate icing! The rest of their selecting is great too. Never disappointed. They have dog treats also- with no sugar added, my pup loves them too! One of the busiest places I've seen in the mornings and they still manage to get everyone in and out very efficiently and super nice too! The store itself gives off older donut shop vibes. Reminds me of being a kid. 10/10 recommend.

When I first got there, it looked kind of like an old gas station. But once I got inside...all I can say is yum, yum & yum!!! Everything I bought was delicious! My personal favorite is the yellow cake Cupcakes with chocolate frosting!

ordered a dozen donuts for the price on the board which was 15.99. i picked twelve donuts even asked if it can include a certain donut. he said yes. we go up to pay and he rings it in separately coming out to almost $30.

Chocolate Angels - the most delicious doughnut you'll have in your life! Me and one of my best friends' will make the drive from Chicago just to bite into one of these! Only thing have to call ahead just to make sure they have them- last time had to wait an hour- but totally worth it!

This place was hopping!! Had to check out the hype and while in line someone mentioned you have to try the angel donut... so naturally you had to throw that on to my order and wowwwwww!! This is a soft, fluffy white powder donut with a whipped cream filling.... Like a bite straight from heaven! I also tried a maple donut, which was fantastic. The maple tasted like PURE maple and the cake was light and airy! More to try but I'm sure if they are anything like the 2 I tried, it's a win!

Munster donuts taste really good. Kids love pink sprinkles and chocolate. Never been inside Munster Donuts so raising a eyebrow on the service . I don't know the ambiance, but probably sucks because it is a donut restaurant.

We came here for the chocolate frosted cake donuts and ended up buying 2 dozen to share. They are the best old fashioned tasty donuts that as a new senior, I truly miss. The frosting is perfect amount of chocolate and the cake is light and delicious. Had to dunk it in my coffee to make sure. Lol. The Apple fritter was also made with a delicate dough that is infused with the finest cinnamon. It has a burst that f apple pie filling that made me eat the whole fritter. By the way, they are beyond huge! You need forks and knives for the pretzels and twists. Go and make sure to get extra for your friends. So delicious. The girl who waited on us was very kind and so patient because it all looks good.

This place has been around forever once being Mister Donut then changed and has stayed as Munster Donut for a long, long time. There is good reason, too. The donuts are super fresh and good. I had the Bavarian Cream lately and it was really good with no question it was made in-house that day. Granted there doesn't seem to be much really competition but it doesn't matter as I have what I need nearby and it'll remain a fixture for some time to come!

I cannot say enough about this bakery! A few years back, we came across this gem on a trip to Chicago. It was after dinner and I found that the bakery at that time stayed open 24/7. A doughnut was just what I wanted for a little something sweet after my evening meal. How was I to know that driving to this cute little doughnut shop would become a tradition. We perused the case and settled on a variety of tasty treats including the heavenly vanilla angel crème doughnut. It was love at first bite! The yeast doughnut was pillowy soft with a sweet dusting of powdered sugar and the filling was so delicious. I am serious when I say that from that point forward, all trips north to Chicago include a stop on the way and coming home so that I can indulge in that decadent treat. We have turned all our family members and quite a few friends into fans of the baked goods here. Anyone in our friend or family group heading anywhere near Munster has to stop and bring treats home to Ky. We love Munster Donuts!!

This review is solely based on the customer service from the crabby lady with the glasses. WOW! We drove 60 miles to get the amazing Angel donuts and she was the nastiest crabby no Christmas spirit at all lady! even the other customers were appalled at her behavior. this lady needs a major attitude adjustment!

First time to Munster donuts, it was a recommendation and not a bad one. They have a lot of donut options. The server that we had was fairly rude which made our experience not the greatest. The price for the donuts are okay. For 3 of them we paid $3.30. They charge an additional $0.25 if you use your card and are under a certain amount of money. So I would highly recommend to bring cash when going here. They have a lot of pastry options so you won't be disappointed on that.

Great place for donuts. The sour cream is delicious. I picked it as it seemed to be recommended by Yelp users. Since then I've tried the glazed, sour cream and lucked up on strawberry paczkis just this week. Have thoroughly enjoyed each donut. Wished the cream cheese had more filling but very good nonetheless. I've even had glazed donuts so fresh they were still warm.

I am old enough to recall the old commercials of Michael Vale, the sleepy-eyed face of Dunkin' Donuts playing Fred the Baker with the iconic,"Time to make the donuts." That being said Times change and things evolve in pursuit of that next big thing that will generate revenue. Unfortunately in some cases the big companies forget about the things that matter and that relationship is lost with the consumers. I participated in an event called the Baker County Donut Trail in Ohio. The goal was the visit every mom and pop donut shop (44) in the estimated 150 miles radius. The county gave out T-Shirts and coins upon completing the tour. It was great to interact with each of those store owners who do the things that the actor Michael Vale portrayed. Now about this place, It was brought to my attention by a suggestion here on yelp, so on my way home from work I stopped here in search of the Maple Bacon donut. As I pull up the store clearly resembles a former Dunkin Donut shop. I took note of the sign in the front window which was a clear dig to the corporately run competition that no longer makes their donuts on site. The store obviously showed some age and screamed for some freshening up. It appears to be run by older teenagers. Taking in all of their offerings, I didn't see the elusive Maple Bacon I was told that there is a special license that was required for meat products to be present in this setting. Good to know. Well I pondered my selections as they all looked so good along with the specialty items and departed. I was a little disappointed with the donut holes as they didn't taste as fresh as the accompanying donuts. My search for the Maple Bacon continues.

Was my favorite place, However the last 3 time I went there at 7am or 9am, They are always out of vanilla and chocolate Angels, very disappointing. I am giving up on them.

Our family has been going to Munster Donut for 20+ years! The chocolate iced rings and the strawberry jelly donuts are the bomb. However, this morning when we ordered we received a bunch of strawberry jelly donuts that were sadly missing the jelly. How this happened I have no idea. It was a total bummer!

I went to this donut shop with two kids today. The people there just ignore me and go to the next person without asking me if I am ready to order. Then, when I asked them can I order the donuts now and no one replied and walked away. What a racist place. Good donuts but the employees are absolutely rude and mean. Hope they do something on the customer services.

I am a long-time customer but today I waited for 25 minutes for my donuts never to be brought out to my car! If you do not want your customers in your restaurant then please hire adequately trained people to help you carry out those orders for curbside pick up! Waiting 25 minutes for donuts to be brought out to your car because you do not want me in your establishment is not the correct way to handle business and sales! After waiting 25 minutes and finally leaving angrily with nothing in my hands I have decided I will not come back! If you do not feel safe and catering to your customers then close back up this is not the right way to treat your customers and you were doing your patrons A disservice

Honestly, some of the BEST donuts I have ever had! I got there at 4 in the evening, and they were still so fresh and moist and just overall delicious! I will DEFINITELY be returning, and very soon! The German chocolate donut was melt in your mouth soft with a nice crispy coconut coating. The whole family loved them! Can't forget to mention, the service was also very polite! They were very prompt, even with a parking lot full of cars! Can't wait to make this our new family spot!

This is not a cinnamon roll like the old days. It should be called a dry, tasteless, sugar roll. No cinnamon inside.

Best donuts around! Recently moving from California I was searching for "THE" donut shop. This place did not disappoint! I have been here several times and each time have had great service and wonderful donuts. I like that they switch up their flavors but keep their signature donuts. I recently placed a large order of 20 dozens and with just a little notice they managed to have my order pick-up ready with NO issues, they got the order correct. Their honey donut is the best!!!

Family owned and run. Donuts are superb. Love that you can watch as they prepare the goodies in the store. Just enough sweetness. Friendly staff. Simple hole in the wall kinda place but it packs a lot of punch. I make it a point to drop by every time I go to Indiana. I highly recommend this place
