"What started as a shop selling eggs and butter later became a delicatessen and today this spot is a popular bistro with a pleasingly lively urban atmosphere and an open kitchen. The tasty dishes include German classics such as currywurst and Wiener schnitzel, but also international dishes. The food is accompanied by decent wines by the glass, and the service is friendly. Open from noon to 8pm, last orders 6.30pm. NB: They don't take reservations at lunchtime – so come early, as the place gets very busy." - Michelin Inspector

I only went there because the braised pork looked great but apparently they rotate their menu from time to time. So it wasn't on the menu. So i settled for a sausage and their signature fish soup with all of their mini desserts. Fish soup: very unique and flavorful very good combination with the paste and bread. Sausage: Nothing ordinary, the sauce was kinda sweet not to taste. Dessert: presentation was good, looked pretty. Taste wise it was very ordinary. Service: Servers are very attentive, but kinda rushed, always on edge, bit quirky, didn't feel very comfortable. All that took around 45€ and it was cheap because sausage was the most cheap one. For one time experience I'd say okayish. But not really up to expectations.

I wanted to try this restaurant long ago but there has always been a long queue. Today was luckily a short queue so we tried it. We all had wiener schnitzel; it was amazing and authentic! Portions are also big and worth the price. Will indeed come back again!

A place full of locals, hence a fast-running queue. The recipes look like they have been on the menu for ages. For my taste, the plates were salty. The portions are generous. No AC in the inside area and could get noisy when full. I enjoyed the experience however won’t make it for the second time.

Delicious wiener schnitzel and fries. The big portion is big enough to share for two. Nice atmosphere. The personnel is friendly.

No waiting around – our meals arrived instantly. Latte was creamy and perfectly balanced. They truly go above and beyond. Every detail in plating and presentation was perfect. Flavors that lingered in the best way. Everything sparkled – seriously. Nestled right in the heart of the city.

Impressed by the quick yet careful service. Food was flavorful and artistically presented, paired perfectly with their quality coffee. Staff made sure every detail was perfect, and cleanliness was impeccable. Great spot too.

Google
One of the best restaurants in Duesseldorf. Very good food and delicious! The steak was cooked for perfection. The soup was so creamy, it was one of the best I ever had! Also their desserts were very nice and paired nicely with the meal. It can get very busy and you might stand in a queue for a while. Totally recommended.

Perfect schnitzel, perfect mussels. Tasty appetizers. Service is kind but a little slow at lunch time. Inner restaurant is noisy, out is perfect in good weather. Price is logical for the taste.

Yelp
Die Preise sind hoch. 27€ für das kleine Schnitzel war happig. Dennoch war das Schnitzel wirklich lecker. Sehr Knusprig mit Geschmack. Toller Gurken Salat. Der Kartoffelsalat war nicht so meins. Wir hatten andere Dinge probiert. Schnitzel ist der Gewinner Ich komme gerne wieder!

Yelp
This was an all star place to eat. Had to wait quite a while for a table but that is a great indication of the quality of food here. It's not crazy fancy but the food is just outstanding German cuisine. They have many awards and it is clear why. Enjoy a Prosecco while you wait. They will bring it to you!

Yelp
Fabulous meal in this neighborhood bistro not filled with tourists drinking too much beer. Casual in both design an atmosphere the rather small bistro had every table full by reservation at 7:30. I am sure we didn't code the most unusual things on the menu since none of us could read read German. No English menu. That being said my husband ordered a delicate and flavorful sashimi dish presented beautifully and I ordered steak fritte as did a friend. We were all raving about our food. The steak was cooked perfectly with a bearnise sauce on the side. The fritte were nice and crispy. I will definitely stop here again my next trip to Düsseldorf!

Yelp
Super crowded, I was able to squeeze in between two tables. Being a warm day, this place was sweltering inside. We sweated through the meal. The prosecco was on the warm side. Likely due to the weather and how warm it was inside. The schnitzel was huge but lackluster. The crust didn't adhere at all but the taste was good. It was too hot to stay for dessert so we went out to get some cool air and ice cream. A lively but just ok experience.

Yelp
Food is good. I can say german fusion food are what they have. Good taste but they do not have English menu. I used photos from yelp for order. The waiter help you a lot with the order. They are small restaurant so you might have to share your table with others.

Yelp
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The risotto was delicious and flavorful. My friend had the Tuna which was perfect and the mango accents really added a nice touch. The only problem were the portion sizes. I had the tiniest portion of Risotto, more like a kids size. I was still really hungry after eating and my friend was as well. We spent 40€ for two people and to leave hungry was such a shame. Im not sure if they expected us to purchase multiple courses but that was not stated on the menu. Overall a great place but be sure to order a soup, salad or appetizer along with your entree if you expect to leave full.

Yelp
Currently my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Good lord, the food here is so amazing, you just want to keep stuffing yourself. Great staff, service was wonderful, and it's such a cute little place tucked away on a small street. Everything from their wines, coffee, main dishes, salads-- it's most definitely worth the short wait to get seating during the busier times of the day.

Yelp
The food here is delicious! They have a bunch of nice options, I had the tuna with vegetables and it was very good. The fish was perfectly cooked, the veggies were nicely seasoned and the sauce brought it all together in perfect combination. The only problem is the portion that, in my opinion, is on the small side specially for the price. For this reason I would recommend you to get some appetizers, unless you are not so hungry.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and food as well. Waiters were also very friendly Tried the tagliatelle which was delicious as well as the potato soup German/french bistro vibes and the restaurant interior was also great.

Yelp

Yelp
Great food, and the Laura, our English speaking waitress was very helpful for 4 American visitors. I had the Thai soup and chili chicken salad. Both were outstanding. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Best bistro food in town. Has a German touch to it and a very nice international menu. Try the soups as starters.
