"Murger Han's one-hand, namesake murgers are the ideal meat-plus-bread meal for easy, grab-and-go satisfaction. Our favourite is the spicy pulled pork option from the Xi'anese spot, but if you’re looking for something more substantial, the chewy cold noodles are ideal. Take a left after passing Fortnum & Mason, order two types of murger for good measure, and rejoin the parade in under an hour." - heidi lauth beasley, sinead cranna
"Arrive at Murger Han hungry. Everything from the clay pot dishes to the dumplings to the steaming soups are worthy contenders for your order. If you’re not down for a full feast, get involved in the headliner, the murgers. A traditional Xi’anese snack involving slow-cooked meat and fluffy little flat bread buns, it’s hands down one of the best lunch options in Elephant and Castle and matches the mood of the relaxed space perfectly." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager, sinead cranna
"This Chinese spot in Mayfair has some excellent biang biang noodles that you can order in. But don’t stop there. You’re going to want to get the pork murger and steamed rice noodles as well. Order here." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"Murger Han is a small-ish Chinese restaurant just off Piccadilly that serves Xi’anese food. That means you’ll want to begin things with their hand-pulled noodles. A single bowl of excellent biang biang noodles will satisfy most appetites, but if you’re sharing you should get a pork murger and a bowl of their steamed rice noodles too. It gets busy so if there are more than two of you, you’ll probably need to book. But there’s plenty of space downstairs, which makes it a pretty good spot for an inexpensive low-key birthday dinner." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"“But Noodle Inn is in Soho”, you cry. It’s right there, in London’s prime meet-in-the-middle central zone. Well, so is Murger Han. Just off Piccadilly in Mayfair, this cosy, casual corridor of a Xi’an restaurant is home to a variety of noodles including huge bowls of hand-pulled biang biang. As professionally hungry people, we’re also big advocates of getting an order of the steamed rice noodles to take home and pop in the fridge for later. In the interest of your geographic socialising scheming, know that they also have restaurants in Bloomsbury, Elephant and Castle, and the City. Ding ding—all are bookable." - heidi lauth beasley
