40 New Restaurants and Bars That Have Opened in San Diego - Eater San Diego

"Two Kurdish doctoral students are behind this buzzy coffee shop, dessert bar, and tea house whose menu extends beyond the standard coffee and espresso drinks to feature Kurdish chai made from a blend of black tea, saffron, rose buds, and cardamom, which can be served in a traditional Kurdish teapot for those sipping on-site. In addition to custom cakes, Muri is filling its pastry display with a rotating selection of desserts including pavlovas, opera cakes, and Paris-Brest." - Candice Woo

Google
Muri Coffee & Cake in North Park is such a refreshing find. The vibe is warm and welcoming, and you immediately feel like you’re part of something more than just a coffee run. Their Kurdish coffee is unique and worth trying, but what really stood out for me were their cheesecake options - absolutely unforgettable. It’s the kind of place you want to sit in for a while, whether you’re catching up with a friend or getting some work done. I love how welcoming it is with little thoughtful touches throughout. Definitely going back.

Google
Absolutely loved the pastries— particularly the pistachio cheesecake! My iced matcha latte was fresh tasting and unsweetened. Beautiful environment. Great place for catching up with a friend!

Google
I came here after seeing the impressive 4.8 Google rating. The area around is a bit older (it’s near downtown), so I wasn’t expecting much at first. But once I stepped inside, the place had a warm and cozy vibe with some nice Middle Eastern-style decor and color tones. The dessert menu isn’t huge, but everything looked really unique. I tried their house-made strawberry cake box—it was surprisingly good and not overly sweet. For coffee, I went with the basic drip coffee, which was very reasonably priced and tasted great. There are plenty of spots to sit and work—both indoors and outdoors—and the Wi-Fi was stable the whole time. Definitely a decent place for remote work or just hanging out with friends. The A/C was at a comfortable level, and the music wasn’t too loud or distracting. You’ll need to find street parking nearby for free, but it wasn’t hard. Overall, it lives up to its 4.8 stars.

Our Saturday morning visit for coffee and pastries was a delightful experience! From the moment we walked in, the owner and staff radiated warmth and genuine hospitality. It's clear they take pride in their daily baked pastries, which were truly exceptional – each bite was a little piece of heaven. It was a treat to discover a cozy spot where you can have delicious coffee and dessert while browsing their collection of books. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return!

Google
Muri Coffee and Cake is such a beautiful hidden gem in North Park. With a beautiful seating areas both indoors and outdoors, delicious drinks and treats! I hosted a journal club on their outdoor trellis area and it was absolutely breathtaking. Everyone had such a lovely time and couldn’t stop raving about how delicious all the treats and drinks were!

Google
Muri I Coffee & Cake is an absolute gem! I tried the traditional Kurdish apple pie and the traditional Kurdish apricot pie, and both were equally delicious—perfectly balanced flavors, flaky crusts, and just the right amount of sweetness. I also spotted the medovnik (honey cake) and will definitely be back to try it! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it’s such a treat to find authentic Kurdish pastries in San Diego - and with excellent service and ambiance. 5 stars for sure!

Google
Muri Cafe – A Taste of Kurdistan Muri Cafe is a cozy place with a Kurdish touch. The warm decor and friendly staff make you feel at home. Their Kurdish tea is strong and delicious, and the apple pie is a perfect sweet treat. The service is kind, and the prices are fair. It’s a great spot to relax, meet friends, or enjoy a quiet moment. – Feels like home! .

Google
My current obsession! This place has delicious and unique pastries, a great atmosphere, and good service. I come here often to study, and the coffee never disappoints. It can get a bit crowded at times, so I recommend arriving early to grab a good spot. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Finally got to try this super cute spot in the north park area, can tell this will be one of my new fav spots to do work at! The inside is so aesthetic and gives the aesthetic of a home but they have plenty of tables and seating both inside and out The workers and super kind and knowledgeable about their products, especially the Kurdish coffee options

Yelp
The shop has a small paid parking lot located to the right, and there is also street parking available in the neighborhood about a block away. I tried the iced latte and iced matcha, but I found the matcha to be watered down and it didn't have sugar. The lotus cake, on the other hand, was incredibly sweet. It paired nicely with the unsweetened drinks. It was too sweet for me to finish on my own, so I ended up sharing it with a friend. While the café doesn't have many outlets, which makes it less ideal for working or studying, it does offer plenty of indoor and outdoor seating perfect for enjoying your drinks. There's also a spacious single bathroom that even has a cabinet stocked with women's toiletries and lotion, adding a thoughtful touch to the overall experience.

Yelp
We enjoyed this Cafe so much, we made a return visit the next morning during a short stay at the Lafayette. The servers are friendly and from the theme, I am guessing they are a Kurdish family. The absolute best thing we tried was a spinach borek, a little savory to have with coffee, but try it nonetheless. We also sampled apple and apricot cakes, and a tubular pastry that tasted of halvah. Coffee selections were well prepared You can stick with the usual or plump for Kurdish coffee, lighter and nutter than Turkish coffee. Take yourself outdoors to the lovely patio, and it's easy enough to forget you're in a gritty stretch of North Park. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Muri Coffee & Cake in North Park is such a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, I fell in love with the cozy house, the beautiful Kurdish decor, and the stunning rugs that give it such a warm, inviting feel. The cakes all looked incredible, and the Kurdish tea, served in the most traditional way, was such a special touch. Plus, they have good WiFi, so it's a great spot to get some work done while enjoying the cozy atmosphere. I could've stayed there for hours--definitely a new favorite!

Yelp
The absolute perfect coffee shop: the beautiful, peaceful vibes of a very instagrammable haven with legit DELICIOUS food and coffee and the nicest owners and staff! I visited with a friend and got this incredible pistachio Paris-Brest. It was not too sweet, super nutty and flaky, and an all-around excellent choice. I also ordered a hot vanilla latte which was as also perfect. We ate at a window that looked like it was straight out of a magazine. This would be an amazing place to come and read with a little snack and some coffee -- in fact, the store sports its own little bookshelves. There are also a beautiful flower garden out front if that's your vibe. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Discovered this cute little spot on a Friday night. Warmly greeted upon arrival. Display case was full of delectable looking desserts. We ordered a Matcha and Cortado. I grabbed a table in the middle of the front room. There were plenty of two top tables that were semi private. As I was leaving I notice the charming looking patio area. Will be back to try the Kurdish tea.

Yelp
The cappuccinos were perfect and the cake was absolutely delicious with it as well! The people working at Muri were very kind and helped us decipher which desserts we could have, as we cannot have gelatin. They ended up calling the chef to find out and make sure which ones were gelatin free, which was incredibly helpful and kind of them. As for the ambiance, it is so beautiful inside, although a bit hot. Not sure if it is always like this or if it was just the day we went. However, we ended up sitting outside on the front patio and it was such a delightful experience. :) I would definitely come back!

Yelp
Although I didn't go into the cafe; both items were delicious. The cold brew was flavorful. It didn't have a strong acidic sharp taste. I enjoyed it very much. And the pastry was also flavorful. I enjoyed the filling especially the texture. I wasn't expecting it. I'm surprised and impressed by both items.

Yelp
I visited this newly opened Kurdish-style coffee & dessert in North Park after a meeting and was pleasantly surprised. The place used to be Deja Brew, but it's been beautifully transformed, both indoors and out. It was packed, and the vibe was great. I tried their Kurdish coffee, which is actually made from a pistachio-family plant, not coffee beans. It has a nutty, unique flavor that I ended up really enjoying. The owner brought the beans from his hometown, which made it even more special. The Basque cheesecake? Absolutely divine! So creamy, yet light, and honestly the best I've had. Highly recommend checking out their drinks and desserts -- it's a hidden gem!

Yelp
Simply the most unique, charming and best ever coffee, tea, and homemade desserts. This is authentic Kurdish Great place to relax, study, meet a friend or a first date!

Yelp
Great little Kurdish spot for coffee and tea. Very very nice ambiance, I'd recommend sitting in their orange side room for a small taste of the Middle East. Only had to drop a star because it's a little on the pricey side for what you're getting and the coffee is decent. Love this spot and would come back all the time! Definitely worth the visit.

Yelp
This place is great - friendly staff and good vibes and WiFi! The tea is great and patio is big.

Yelp
* big seating area * indoor or outdoor * location parking may be difficult * clean restrooms *good to study * trendy spot This place is under new owners and was remodeled. Love what they did with the place Not sure how long they have been here but definitely will visit it again. Service was great, the desserts were amazing my favorite was the biscotti cheesecake and the pistachio dessert. The vanilla latte was good just wish it was hotter for me. The cortado coffee was ok.
google avatar

Kokila S.

Yelp
This is such a cute spot! Tons of indoor and outdoor seating with a very homey feeling. The menu is small but reasonably priced. We got a giant teapot of Kurdish black tea and some desserts to share between two of us. Both the pistachio and lemon cheesecakes were delicious and paired well with the strong tea. I am looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
The reason for my update: if you look at my older pictures of Muri, you'll see that my cup of cold brew tea without any modifications looks like it has a reasonable amount of ice. I loved this cafe the first couple of times I went. On my last visit, I was left pretty disappointed as their new practice seems to be scooping the cup entirely with ice. The cup was 90% ice and a little bit of tea. I like to take my time drinking my tea, but this look me no time at all and there was still about 75% of the cup left with ice. This amount of ice is so unreasonable and they're not giving the customers what they're paying for. I still love the flavor of the tea and this last time, I even had a pistachio basque cake that was super smooth and delicious. But if you're reading this, please reconsider and go back to using a sensible amount of ice in your drinks.

Yelp
Ambiance 10/10 Indoor seating is limited. There's one big table that could fit 4 or more people but is often occupied. Went during the summer and there were a lot of bugs flying around. Got the pistachio and it was heavenly. So rich and not too sweet. Paired perfectly with an americano.

Yelp
When a new coffee shop opens in the neighborhood, it is a must destination for me. From the outside, it's already vibing with me. Plenty of seating options outside and spacious inside, as well. I love the ambiance. For the time being, only a handful of people are hanging around with their laptop, pretending to work or do school work. Jk. However, it is peaceful. The coffee is how I like it, and I was introduced to the borek. Never had it in my life, but it was delicious! Definitely a must try. This place is a must if I just want to enjoy being outside, sipping my coffee and people watching.

Yelp
Came here on my birthday to get a slice of cake to indulge in. Because of the name, I thought there would be cakes but it's really more of a coffee shop with pastries. We got the moist cake and the San Sebastián, along with an iced latte. Both of our pastries were divine! Not too sweet, light but so delicious! The coffee was really good as well. I'd definitely recommend the San Sebastián which is a lighter version of cheesecake and tastes amazing! Love the vibe and decor in the cafe and the service was great, quick , friendly and overall it was a nice experience and definitely will be back!

Yelp
Really nice coffee with a modern contemporary ambiance with pastry flavors that you can't get anywhere else in San Diego. I am not familiar with Kurdish tea or foods, but it was a delight to try them here, and I recommend their cappuccino and pistachio cheesecake. (Expensive, ~$12 apiece.) The setting is really nice if you come here in the early morning or late afternoon. I would avoid brunch/lunch time as it gets really noisy with the crowd and takes away from the tranquility of the inside. (The outside, though, is a different story because while it is nice to sit outside in the sunshine, the rush of cars and buses is a really big minus, imo.)

Yelp
Been meaning to check out Muri. Finally got around to it over the weekend. The place: The place is small for the amount of people visiting, a few tables inside and a few small tables outside, a lot of tables for two, and just a few larger tables for parties of 4-5. They have an area in the back that seemed to be taken over by students/people doing work. The good: Beautiful interior design, with the colors, lighting, plants and overall design. The coffee: Ordered the iced latte: meh nothing special. Kurdish decaf coffee: yummy! definitely the way to go. The nutty flavors are special and a total treat. The bad: The kurdish coffee took 20 minutes! The seating in front of the shop is not shaded making it hard to find comfort, it's sunny here! The line, hard to tell where it starts, ends, merges lol Overall this place is a scene on a Sunday morning. Hope to check it out again during the week someday for their specialty kurdish coffee.

Yelp
What a peaceful and beautiful cafe! The iced latte was perfect and so was the croissant! I'm definitely coming back to try the other desserts Lots of indoor and outdoor seating too, I was here working on my laptop for a while and it was so nice! Some tables don't have outlets so have your computer fully charged! Absolutely wonderful cafe!

Yelp
YALL. THIS IS THE NEW PLACE. Muri just opened a month or so ago and it had been on my list to go to. I decided for some reason that my first time here should be on a first date, and I think he was really impressed lmaoooo. The interior is absolutely stunning, original for the area, and perfectly naturally lit. As someone from a South Asian culture inspired by Kurds, the architecture really felt like a home away from home. The tea cup, the pot, the table, everything felt like it was chosen from love for the untold Kurdish history in the US. The cake and tea was SO GOOOOODDDDD. It's just perfect, there's so much seating and a proportionate amount of outlets and lighting and good wifi. The folks here really are the cherry on top. The owner is so kind and generous with taking the time to tell the story of opening the place, how the cakes and pastries are made, and where the vision is coming from. He did an awesome job with this store. 11/10 I wish it could get more stars.

Yelp
Super cute cafe with plenty of outdoor seating. Indoor seating is limited but still a great place to enjoy a coffee and pastries. It could be a bit awkward waiting in line when it's 4+ ppl. Staff is friendly and gave us recommendations on desserts to try! With their variety of desserts I would come again to catch up with friends!

Yelp
A former brew lounge in North Park is no longer. Muri I Coffee & Cake opened at the beginning of this month as a Kurdish coffee/tea shop which I think may be unique to the SD area. Ornate tea kettles and vessels along with Persian rugs hanging on the walls made up some of the interior decor which felt more upscale than its predecessor. The front patio retained several small tables for outdoor seating. A small menu board listing ten drinks was posted on a wall near the service counter. Of those offerings, the Kurdish Chai looked the most interesting. Two display cases contained various baked goods and pastries on sale. Croissants and muffins were the typical fare while Medovik and San Sebastian cheesecake were some of the less familiar products. I purchased two items during my visit, a Mango tart and a Medovik. For $9, a mango flavored glaze was applied to the top of a pastry tart. The fruit was mildly sweet. The Medovik was made up of layers of sponge cake with a cream filling. In some parts, it's simply known as Russian honey cake. The taste was not cloying or too sweet. The place was about half full with customers preoccupied with their laptops. This cafe seemed to be the new hangout spot for locals in the neighborhood.

Yelp
So unique. I love this place. The pastries are not only good looking, they taste great! Service was nice as well and in unique tea pots. Ambiance was one of the best I have experienced. Soft and lovely music. You can hear it and still have a conversation with friends. It is lovely decorated. If you are in the area, give them a try. Let me know if you loved it too. Happy coffee and meals!

Yelp
Bought the Kurdish Tea and pistachio cheesecake. Very good! Only negative is the price. $22 for tea and a slice!!! Price is steep but nice place to eat and converse. Ambiance is perfect for working but not when it's c

Yelp
Delightful converted home into a coffee shop with savory and sweet bakery selections, coffee & Kurdish tea. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with authentic decor. Come ready to sit, chat and enjoy. @sturdygirlstyle #sturdygirlstyle

Yelp
Loved their iced latte! $5 dollars for this, I thought it was a good deal especially since it was not too sweet Pistachio cheesecake - not too sweet but not the texture I was hoping for. Parking is difficult to find! But can eventually find some street parking around five minutes away! Inside and outside seating! Adorable decor! Customer service is friendly! Highly recommend if you're searching for a cure spot!

Yelp
This is a great new Kurdish coffee shop and bakery! Not only can they make a proper cortado, but they savory and sweet baked goods selection is great. The cortado was very well made. It was smooth and rich with coffee flavor with no sourness nor bitterness. I liked that they served it in an appropriate glass container. I had a Kurdish peach mini pie with the coffee. The pie was excellent, and the peach compote it came with was terrific. I would definitely have another of both. Muri offers a lot of inside and outside seating. Including large tables for study groups and meetings. Wi-Fi is available. The service is very welcoming and friendly. Great place.

Yelp
On 05/08/24, I visited Murî a new coffee shop that specialized in Kurdish drinks and treats. This shop is on busy University Dr and parking was a challenge. The shop was once a small older craftsman house converted to a cafe to accommodate seating for visitors. Outdoor and indoor seating available and my posh pooch Fendi and I were cordially welcomed by the owners. I love global travel and am open to learning about All cultures and ethnic foods. I've never traveled to Kurdistan and the surrounding areas and was excited to try new to Me drinks and treats. The pastry beautifully displayed were created in house but almost all were french inspired and not Kurdish as I had hoped. The owners were eager to please and offered to make some and wanted to contact Me directly for my information to send Me an invitation but since I prefer to be a private person, I gracefully declined to release my contact info for their invitation. I will call to inquire if the Kurdish pastries are available before I visit. The Kurdish chai tea was served Hot and poured from a unique decanter seemed appealing. Accompanied with a small brass dish with rock sugar in the raw was an added delight. Because of time constraints, I agreed to sit just briefly to enjoy the peaceful ambiance inside with a view of wall decor of colorful tapestry, floor rugs, brass, copper decanters/pitchers and also the view of the patio sprinkled with potted plants and blooming florals. To my delight, one of the owners, was the server and he wore gloves! The whole setting was aesthetically pleasing, calm and clean. BTW, their Yelp page shows Zero violations from the Health Department, and that alone speaks volumes for Me and will encourage my return. Until I try some unique Kurdish pastries, I cannot comment on how the treats tasted but All look spectacular and appealing. Again, I look outward to authentic unique Kurdish treats to pair with the Kurdish chai tea. The hot Kurdish chai tea was fragrant, soothing and lovely. I was really able to relish the essence of this chai tea, as my palate was super clean without anything else, so I was able to focus solely on the wonderfulness of this Kurdish chai tea, which really takes the spotlight of my review. Murî is worthy of your visit. Recommend.

Yelp
Food: The Kurdish tea smelled good. Don't know too much about teas but I enjoyed it and its presentation. The cortado and latte was just like any other. The borek was really good because it was slightly warmed, flakey, and flavorful. Service: Staff were very nice and service was somewhat fast. Ambiance: The ambiance is definitely one of the selling points of this cafe. We came around 11am on a Monday and there was no seating inside so we settled for the patio where we could faintly hear the jazz music playing from inside, There were sun umbrellas for shade and the weather was excellent, making for a nice setting. Overall: Street parking was pretty easy to find (~5 min walk away). Would not recommend coming here to study as wifi is unreliable and seating is limited, but it is a great spot to just catch up with friends, etc.

Yelp
Yummy tea and pastries. Not too busy around 6pm. Helpful cashier - answered all of my questions about the food and drinks. Pretty cafe.

Yelp
The desserts!!!! Such a great spot, cute vibe, good coffee and fresh baked pastries??? I'd come here every day if I didn't have to teach high schoolers
google avatar

Yelp
Kurdish desserts is one of the best, their cheesecake is insanely good unlike the other that is just sweet but Kurdish has flavor that is very unique. If you taste their matcha, it really is matcha, they are good in Pistachio too. This place is too recommendable... definitely will come abck to try their other stuff.

Yelp
Say WOW!!! Wonderful bakery One of the best latte in town Friendly service Peaceful environment to study We ll definitely come back!!

Yelp
I wasn't looking for this place, but was definitely happy to stumble upon it as a place to hang out with my wife and grandson while my daughter works out at the gym across the street. The team at Muri are all amazingly friendly and my grandson is the star of the show having made friends with them. Since June, it's safe to say I have been to Muri at least 2-3 times each month. The coffee is strong, their desserts are nice to look at and taste amazing, and the overall vibe is something I can only describe as "easy." It's definitely a mixed crowd yet everyone is welcoming and friendly while respecting each other's space and privacy. No visit is wrong here. Either swing by to pick something up or go in and hang out for a bit. I'm particular to their croissants in the morning or their pistachio cheesecake in the evening. I'll put it to you like this... my grandson frequently asks, "Don't you want to get coffee near the gym, Grampa?"
google avatar

Carmen V.

Yelp
Very disappointed. I wanted to love this place, to me the cutest coffee/tea shop in San Diego. Please don't call yourselves patisserie because it is almost impossible to find a free table for celebrations like birthdays. We were a group of 3 and I over promised myself a great place to enjoy tea/coffee but under delivered due to Muri becoming something that is more a coworking space than a place to enjoy drinks/pastries and company. The cherry on top? A man in full blown conference calling since the moment we arrived to the moment we left. If you want to kill a vibe...allowing everyone camping with their laptops and conducting work conference calls is how to. I commented this to the owners but they seem to be ok with that. Ok, good luck, you lost a customer who thinks study and work can be done at libraries and coworking places.
google avatar

Deanna M.

Yelp
Great space and comfortable seating. Staff is very friendly and recommended the San Sebastian cheesecake which was creamy and delicious! Definitely will be coming back here and recommending to friends!
google avatar

Nadiyah S.

Yelp
5 stars for the Kurdish Chai/Tea and ambiance! The design and decor is amazing, which makes it a nice place to study or chat. The Kurdish tea is a black tea infused with rose, cardamom and saffron which makes it so fragrant and aromatic. It is the perfect compliment to a dessert. I had the mango and pistachio cheesecake. I'd probably pass on the desserts next time. They look pretty but if you're someone that doesn't like very sweet desserts you may not like the desserts. That is my only ding for this place. Otherwise, super happy to see a charming cafe!
google avatar

Yelp
If you're hunting for a café that has everything but the kitchen sink (although they probably have that too), Muri is it! This spot has vibes so good, you'll want to set up camp. The pastries are absolute fire, the cortado is a total game-changer, and the cheesecake? Let's just say you'll be dreaming about it later. Service here? Think VIP treatment with a side of "we got you." The staff knows how to keep things moving fast but always makes you feel like you're the star of the show. Your coffee arrives quicker than you can say "merci" (yes, that's Farsi for thank you), and with enough charm to make your whole day better. As for the décor--this place will mentally transport you. It's like stepping into an artsy, chill, faraway café you'd find in your dreams. Once you're in, good luck trying to leave. You'll be saying to yourself, "Just one more coffee... probably."

Yelp
I stopped by a local coffee shop to grab an afternoon coffee and pastry. It's a beautiful, cozy spot run by Kurdish people, with a warm and welcoming ambiance. The mellow background music added to the relaxing vibe. I ordered their cappuccino and apple pie--the coffee was excellent, and the pastry was freshly baked and delicious. I think I've found my favorite local coffee spot! Highly recommend checking it out.

Yelp
A place that makes you smile Just wanted to shout out the owner Soran, who took time to explain about Kurdish coffee. He was also generous to give us a taste of the delicious Decaf Kurdish coffee. Definitely coming back! Latte/Cappuccino-5/5 San Sebastian-4/5 Pistachio Cheesecake-5/5

Yelp
This place is definitely a vibe such a cool place pastries are yummy. The coffee is delicious however, keep in mind. There is a ton of students. That go and study so it was very hard to find a table. Actually I couldn't find seating so I had to leave, but I was having an iced coffee and that was already in a to go cup, I would love to come back and just enjoy it Without seating problems. Literally people were standing around hovering, but it's such a cool vibey place still recommended maybe when school is back in session. Oh, they also had a cute small little table for kids, which was cool for my toddler.

Yelp
Every corner of Muri is thoughtfully curated from the indoor Kurdish decor, quality drinks, textured tables, arrangement of furniture, and delightful assortment of pastries. When I stepped in, I felt like I was transported to a hidden Kurdish gem in sunny North Park. Ordered an iced Kurdish tea and subtly sweet pistachio + raspberry cake. Kurdish tea isn't MY cup of tea but I cannot deny the quality and good tea flavor. However, their velvety cortado was EXCELLENT and didn't have an overly bitter after taste. I could sit here and relax, do my work, read or people watch all day.

Yelp
Muri Coffee & Cake - beautiful exterior with a large patio, half sunbathed and half sun dappled under a covered patio. A flowering vine and water bowls for dogs, herb planters and comfortable chairs make for a hospitable and delightful experience. Excellent customer service and a beautiful interior with many nooks for either shared or private dining. 10/10 will be back.

Yelp
It was my first time here. It's December and it's cold. I usually love to read at communal and came here instead. I'm a personal trainer and was starving and bought a burrito. The barrista was really nice. He said it was his first day. His manager looked uptight and tense. Gave me bad vibes. 20 minutes into me sitting and reading the uptight manager sees make taking a bite of my burrito and told me to eat it outside. I promise it doesn't smell, I can kind of see where he's coming from. But the way he told me. How he was initially. He treated me like a peasant. I don't go to coffee shops to have a short unapproachable person belittle me. Never coming back and will.make sure no one else comes here. Including my clients. The coffee was great and would have loved to come here more. Communal down the street has such a welcoming energy and that's what I go for. This dude gave me the exact opposite. I kind of want to take him outback. But, that's not appropriate or professional.

Yelp
We read about the pastries they offer and had to get some on our trip. We got there around lunch time - nice airy and light space, quite a few people enjoying the goodies. We got medovik & cherry tart to go - we thoroughly enjoyed both - it was light and not overly sweet. Delicious pastry, great and friendly service!

Yelp
I've seen this Cafe a few times and finally decide to stop in. Muri has a nice outdoor patio and a much smaller seating arrangement inside. I wanted a Cafe au Lait but the woman didn't know what that was so we settled on drip coffee with almond milk. Unfortunately she just added the building to the coffee which is not what I asked for so it doesn't taste good. I also ask for sweeter and the only thing they tried was liquid sugar. I may come back again because of the seating and I'll try one more drink.

Yelp
Came to Murî to co-work with a friend and so glad to have found it. The owners and staff are incredibly kind & friendly, their vibe leaves the whole place feeling calm and pleasant. They play soft music, and with all the decor, it feels super relaxed inside and a great place to get work done. Plenty of seating near outlets for folks with laptops. The Kurdish tea is so good, served beautifully and to me, way lower price than it could be for the quality. I also can't stand cheesecake but bought the pistachio one before realizing it's cheesecake, and I actually really enjoyed it. I have a feeling cheesecake lovers would be obsessed. And when I didn't finish it & asked for a box so I could bring it home to my wife, the staff noticed I wasn't leaving yet & offered to leave it in their fridge until I was leaving, so it wouldn't go bad. Way too kind. Coming back here often!
