We have visited Lech many times and, in a town where you are not short of excellent lunch options, Murmeli consistently stands out. The restaurant is small - you have to book (and at busy times like school holidays, you may have to book a couple of weeks in advance) and it is always full but service is always attentive, personal, and warm. We ate here twice during a week's ski trip - on the first occasion, our table wasn't quite ready when we arrived but the delightful host / owner welcomed us with a beaming smile, said how nice it was to see us again (after a gap of 2 years!), and ushered us through to a comfortable seat in the bar, offered us drinks and generally made us feel so welcome we didn't notice the slight delay in getting to our table. The food is always amazing, freshly prepared and completely delicious, and you have to save space for dessert... I'm not normally much of a pudding person, but the Eiscafe is wonderful and the apple strudel comes warmly recommended. On sunny days there is a small terrace which is a real sun trap and you can easily lose an afternoon there with a bottle of chilled rose and good friends. Cannot recommend it enough.
