I stopped by for the first time over the holiday weekend and had a great experience. The place felt really inviting, and I ended up having a very enjoyable afternoon. The bartenders, Lisa and Carrie, were both fantastic! friendly, attentive, and kept the energy going and the drinks flowing. It was a bit loud inside the bar, but it was the good kind of loud were everyone was clearly enjoying themselves, which added to the atmosphere. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap with spicy fries and mayo, and it hit the spot. Not only was it delicious, but it was also surprisingly affordable. Overall, I had a great time and will definitely be back!

Walked in today with a group of about 15 after a funeral at Veterans cemetery, unannounced. The two waitress working grouped some tables together and sat us in about 5 mins!! Our waitress was great! Very attentive and was trading jokes with us although she was very busy. Food and drinks were great!! Thank you again for accommodating us after a tough day! Kudos to your staff!!

I already grilled chicken sandwich with just pickles and lettuce. It Doesn't even come with anything on it it and you have to ask for mayonnaise or something on the side. The french fries were so overcooked so you could have broken your teeth on them and they were super salty. Not the first time that this has happened. I do like this place but they really need to monitor who's cooking the french fries.

Great drinks. Good service. Food is yummy. Do not come here in the summer though! The a/c cannot keep up. Super disappointing to work in the heat all day and sweat over your dinner.

The food was pretty good as per usual, despite them not having my favorite dish, the Open-faced Chicken Croissant Melt. . Our server was attentive and kind. It was a little hot inside, but that's to be expected on a 90-degree day with a lot of customers inside. Overall,I'll be back with hopes that my favorite dish returns. 🤞.

Love coming here! It’s always such a fun spot. CC and Sara are fantastic bartenders — super friendly and they really make you feel welcome. The food is consistently great and everyone has a positive vibe. The only reason I’m not giving this five stars is because of a weird hiccup with ordering. I asked to add mushrooms to my crispy chicken caesar wrap, but apparently they can’t do it because there’s no “button” for it in the system. It would be so easy to just tell the kitchen or write a note, but management doesn’t allow that — which puts the staff in an awkward spot when they’re just trying to keep customers happy. It’s a small thing, but it’s frustrating for the staff and the guests. Hope they fix it because everything else is awesome!

Always have a great time when I go! Lydia has always been amazing from the quality of taste, professionalism and overall making the environment great! We love having her!

Had never been before but Murphy's was recommended by a friend and I'm glad I took that advice! Had the pleasure of being served by Lydia one Tuesday night and the drinks did not disappoint either. Good food, good drinks, good service

Passing through, stopped in for a quick beer and appetizer Easy parking, the place was filling up at 5pm on this Wednesday. First: the good. The place was relatively clean, bathrooms were relatively clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. The craft beer was delicious, and cold. Bad: Do not order any of the nacho appetizers. Major disappointment and expensive. They were overcooked nachos that were tasteless and dry. There really weren't any toppings that I saw other than cheese and jalapeño peppers. Not a good choice at all. The potato skins tasted like they were fresh out of the box, and quickly micro zapped Plus, the place was kind of funky with the set up of how you walked in and waited for somebody to greet you and seat you All in all, not a big fan of the place.

Absolutely horrible customer service. They pick up the phone and put you on hold and after 7 minutes of waiting call goes dead. Call back and their phones are not taking calls. after a response from the business I was satisfied in what happened and will amend my initial review.

The Good - staff is attentive and very nice. Some of our dishes were good others were not so great. Grilled chicken Sandwich - dry. Cauliflower buffalo chicken flatbread - dry dry dry. Did not taste the buffalo. Burgers - both were great. The steak tips were a 7/10. The drinks and beer top notch!!! The bad - the patrons - I have never seen so many people give us dirty looks and just outright stared at us. We were a mixed bunch - I am Hispanic, my kids are mixed with Jamaican, a girlfriend who was a Hispanic and a friend that was white. It's just awful how people just don't like being around people of color. Again, no reflection on the staff we had- and that's why I left a 25% tip on a $187.00 bill. We enjoyed our time together and that's all that matters in the end.

Great place to eat in the area. Always busy and don't be surprised if you have to wait for seating at a table. They have a big bar area and many like to seat and eat there. Plenty of friendly staff. Our waitress Cassidy was very nice and helpful. Nachos portion seemed to be smaller than usual, but good. Sandwiches were very good too. Fun place to go to and don't think you will be disappointed.

2 of us Went on Saturday Nov 2, 2024 We decided to come here before our class reunion and the place was packed. We got our order in for drinks after 10 mins then waited 20 mins and never got our drinks, walked out. This place is a hit or miss with service, sometimes great and sometimes you can't get a drink or service. Not a place to go if you're on a time schedule.

A local hang out bar that has awesome food. My cod dinner special was very fresh. My 1st time and really enjoyed both the drinks and food. Definitely great prices and will be back. A lot of televisions in the bar area. M no out to loud to have a conversation in the seating area near the bar area.

I'm new to the area but this bar feels familiar. Fun atmosphere and the employees are friendly. Brittany is the star of the show, I've only met a select few bartenders who are as wonderful as her! I only wish they had some better food options for vegetarians.

I usually do different places when I do Yelp reviews and even try to do a place once a month so you out there know the deal & today I decided to go here for a dinner for myself. Place is definitely got seating for tables or bar (that I did) & staff got me water for beverage & selection for burgers I went for the Cowboy Burger with fries (two things I had omitted was cheddar cheese & ranch dressing & pickles I informed them to give it to another one so it wouldn't go to waste) & photos will accompany. Bar is well stocked with beer, wine and spirits and also many TV's for sports fans and MA Lottery tickets as well (never know). Only thing was place was a tad noisy and kind of wish that they could have the bit separated from the bar (my own opinion though). Now everyone knows. Maybe they will get a chance to have their food for the Shriner's Hospital as they did with the Jimmy Fund before Chez Josef sadly folded (idea for the management team to consider) & also that Jimmy Fund was my initial discovery of this from the start-go figure.

visited recently, first time there. Food was very good, I had a classic burger that was excellent. Special kudos for our service person, her name was Claire and she was fantastic. Quick smile, knowledgeable about the menu, came back to check on us several times without being over serviced. all around experience was great and we shall return for sure.

On a gorgeous "top down" evening, a friend and I ended up at Murphy's. I'm a sucker for a good Irish pub and, since neither of us had been here, we decided to give it a whirl. Ample parking. A few outdoor tables near the entrance and many more on the patio. We decided on indoors. Our server, Jamie, was in training, and she'll be an asset. Unobtrusive, but checked on us several times. Very efficient and professional. We ordered a hot pretzel as a starter. My friend had a Cubano melt sandwich. I had a classic cheeseburger. We both had fries and a Stella draft (ok, ok, I might've had two....just don't tell my doctor). The pretzel came with two dipping sauces - a spicy mustard and "not sure what it was, but it was pretty good" other dip. The pretzel itself was ok, nothing that knocked our socks off. And apparently not as good as one from a place down the road that she really likes. My cb was spot on. Definitely not a patty, had a brioche bun, and a nice charbroiled taste. If I had to rate the burger, I'd rate it 5-star. She thought her Cubano melt (combination of ham, pulled pork, and cheese) was very good. Both of us thought the fries were not crispy enough (and I asked for them well-done). Atmosphere was nice...Murphy's is a solid place with a very varied menu, good service, and very safe.

Had the "Cowboy Burger" with cheddar cheese, fried onion rings, bacon, BBQ sauce and ranch dressing on a toasted brioche roll. One of the best burgers I've ever had and I have had a lot! I ordered it with Pub Chips and paid extra to serve them with Bacon Horseradish Dip, the dip with awesome! Had a pint of Black & Tan for drinks but missed the authenticity as the lighter beer with the Guinness didn't match up with the traditional version of Guinness & Harp, only reason for a rating of 4 instead of 5!

Went here the other night. It is such a great local pub. The food was so good. I had the Caesar wrap and my husband had the fish and chips. Our bartender Sara was awesome. She was so friendly and obviously loves her job. Definitely recommend!

I've noticed they often have a change in crew which worries me cause I like to know the people that are making my food and serving me other than that they get a five. Came here with my son and it was really good. We had fish and chips, it wasn't the best I ever had but was good. This was a great place to watch a game and service was excellent. Also prices were reasonable for the area

Got brought over to a table that was not clean, waitress never came back to take my order. I had to order at the bar. Then I never received my drink. By the time my food came, the people I was with were already done with their meal. The waitress never apologized. Service was not good. Food was ok. Good fries.

The food is not your standard pub fair. The cocktail was perfect. Waitress was attendant to my needs. The thing that was most pleased about was flavor and presentation of the food. It was like an upscale restaurant. I just had a corned beef sandwich, fries and chili. Oh, yes, and anapple tart with ice cream and caramel drizzle. It was a very pleasant surprise! Thank you Murphy staff! You done good!

For what is known as a good bar, they have really good food. I haven't been disappointed yet.

Stopped here based off the reviews while we were in town. Excellent beer selection as well as good food. We started with a small plate of boneless wings (whiskey glaze). I had the Reuben and a ceasar salad , finance had the fish and chips. Everything was excellent! The portions of the fish and chips were huge! We love our Reubens in Nebraska and this one did not disappoint. I'll be back on my next business trip.

Murphy's is down the street from my job; my coworkers and I visit frequently. The food and drinks are always great, their menu has a large variety for both. I will say do not try to go in on a Friday evening thinking you're going to get a table easily the wait can be well over an hour at times.

Another update! I don't know why it took me so long to give Murphy's Pub 5 stars. Anyway, we continue to appreciate having a place that we can depend on for a good dining experience. Such a friendly bar, GREAT bartenders. Lots of TV's to watch your game. Outdoor seating. Draft list continues to impress. Scott is very serious about his choices (of beer) and we thank him for that. The wings are the best in the area-go on Thursday for a deal. Burgers-very good. We ask for our fries to be well-done. Tots are delicious. Love the slaw. I hear the fish sandwich is very good-I'll be trying that soon. Meghan made us yummy Martinis last night-so good! Great job, Murphy's! See you soon!

I will say Murphys is always good with the exception of their special called chum bucket frozen battered clam strips bottom of the bag tiny pieces and 4 frozen little shrimp couple fries isn't really a 17.00 special you can do better service was oh did I forget you it's usually much better

Honestly, I have to say that every time I go to Murphy's I always have a good meal. This time was no different at all. The bartenders are quite friendly and attentive, and seem to know their stuff. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is light and fun. I started off with an order of pub chips served with bacon horseradish dip on the side from the appetizer list. The chips are made fresh and honestly with how simple they are, excellent. Every chip was very crispy, golden brown and flavorful. On top of that, the bacon horseradish dip takes things to a whole new level. Onto the main course, I ordered the Murphy's Stuffed Cheeseburger. The first time I had gone to Murphy's years ago in probably 2015 I vaguely remember how good it was. It did not disappoint at all this time either. The burger patty itself is incredibly juicy and with the addition of cheese melted straight in the middle it makes for a wonderful meal. Admittedly I should've let it cool down because of how juicy the patty is, it is quite hot. The bun paired excellently with it and with the typical lettuce, tomato and onion combination everything just works. I was given the option to either get French fries (which I've had before, excellent!) or pub chips. This time since I liked the appetizer so much, I got a side of the pub chips. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience and I will happily stop by Murphy's time and time again when I am in the Agawam area!

Steak and cheese grinder very tasty and fish chips were crispy and flaky.Very very small outside patio area not adequate for a crowd and inside is dark and dull, with stale air ! They need some light very drab.It has the ambience of a funeral home. I would dine here often if it wasn't like going to a wake atmosphere.

After speaking with Mr. Murphy to rectify the negative experience me and my team had, I want to update my review from 1 star to 5. We were very upset that the previous negative situation had taken place. It is nice to know though that this particular business supports veterans, especially US Marines. Due to that fact... its a no brainer to give five stars.

Yummy food for a great price , which I love and brings me back. The Corned beef egg rolls are the best ! A great place to meet up with friends . Inside and outside dining make it fun . Servers and bartenders are so friendly and that makes it a fun experience .

I am disappointed to post this review. But, it had to happen. This is my 3rd time In 3 weeks that I have had less than stellar service. I love hazy IPA's. 3 weeks ago I was recommended a new one. Absolutely loved it. Ate dinner and 4 beers later got the bill. $14/beer! Seriously! No warning....no heads up! Yikes! Last week...service was just ok. Missed a few Keno draws, but it was busy. Today....20 people at the bar. 2 tenders. 20 minutes before I was even recognized. Finally, got my Keno and got me a beer (not the $14 one!). No menu. 2nd beer, no menu.... no "would you like to order?" I miss my guy bartender. This place has good food.... but some of the female staff need to recognize that women tip good too!!! Time to find a new regular place to go. Sad.

Good Ruebens and GREAT Mac n cheese. Always packed with customers and nice friendly staff.

First time here, got take out. Two southwestern salads and added steak. I brought one to my husband on shift at the hospital. Our reaction- we have to go back there to try more of their food. Steak was the exact temperature ordered and I was torn between eating it separately or mixing it into the salad because it was better than many filets I've had. From calling in to picking up and paying for my food; I can comment toward their customer service and say it compliments their food. I'll be recommending it to all my neighbors, friends and coworkers.

Food was great, Shepherds pie was great and drinks were good. Lex was a phenomenal server!

My fiancé and had the Cubano Melt Sandwich and the Salmon. Huge portions and a great price. Nice atmosphere. Only problem was 4 different tables we sat at were not balanced and wobbled excessively. We finally sat at the bar and enjoyed a solid eating surface.

Awesome Smithwick's Beer. The beer system must be very clean as this draft was very crisp & clean. The large hot soft pretzel with warm cheese sauce and spicy mustard was fantastic. The ambiance is very nice and the barkeep was very friendly The only cons were the lack of initial acknowledgement for ~5 minutes and the food & 2nd beer follow-up.

Perfectly cooked and seasoned prime rib with potato and salad. Tender and delish. Nice pub inside don't let the outside fool ya. Service was friendly and prompt. $10.95 with potato and salad on Wednesday only. Can't beat it.

I decided to try something different tonight. I wanted to watch the second half of game 7 at a pub. I hadn't been to Murphy's since the beginning of Covid so off I went. The setup inside isn't the greatest for watching games all the TVs are mounted on the walls behind you so it's either turn your seat and body around to watch or strain your eyes to watch a TV 20 or 30 feet across the room. I went with turning my body. They had two bartenders on duty. There wasn't much for them to do so they mostly expressed frustration with the kitchen. I guess the kitchen had gotten multiple orders wrong and the chef/cook was in a very bad mood so they were going to wait until the end of the night to call him on the errors. I wanted to hang for the game so I ordered an appetizer first. I went with a pub favorite Potato skins. When they arrived they weren't exactly your traditional skins. They weren't potatos cut in half with all the goodie inside. They were flat slices of potato with a little cheese and bacon on the top. Nothing bad about them just different and not my cup of tea. When it came time to order my main course I had heard someone mention shepherds pie which is a favorite of mine. The description on the menu was seasoned ground beef, onions corn or peas or both, mashed potato's and gravy. Sounded perfect so that's what I ordered with the only request that they go lite on the onions. She said no problem but the other bartender piped in and informed me that the meat is premade therefore can't have less onions but assured me there aren't a lot. I agreed. Once the meal came it looked good. I took on bite and whatever seasoning they use was overwhelming almost to the point that it couldn't be eaten. I took another bite and same thing. I also noticed there was no gravy to br found too. Hearing about issues in the kitchen earlier I didn't want to make a big deal about it but I did ask for a side of gravy which helped with the strong seasoning. I ate half the meal and then asked to take the rest home. She asked if I wanted a cover for the container of gravy which had a couple of drips left. I said no but why don't you give me a full one to take with me. As she walked away she said something to the other bartender and then went to the register to give me a new tab. As she walked back to me with the slip I asked are you charging me for the gravy? She said yes .50. I told her to forget it. She said ok fine with an attitude and crumbled up the slip and walked away. I can't believe that they were going to charge me for something like a tablespoon of gravy. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth in more ways the one. I won't be returning there anytime soon

this place is just awesome... great local spot with good irish/american fare... both me and my fiancé had the prime rib .. flavor was spot on and perfectly cooked... being on a low carb diet we asked if we could get an extra side salad. they gave us what looked like a full serving with all the fixings.. very happy and cant wait to come back!!

Just left this establishment and I enjoyed every bit of it. It's a small pub, seems to have a lot of regular customers. My friends and I ordered some beer and food. Let my tell you about the food the pot o gold wings are amazing! The mozzarella sticks melt in your mouth and the onion rings were crispy and not greasy. This New Yorker was impressed with the food and great customer service.

The food has never been bad and a lot of craft beer to choose from. Great amount of whiskies as well. Stop by if your in the area

We found this little gem on yelp while trying to find something for dinner. The bar list is massive with an abundance of different beers and liquors. Because they're an Irish pub they have traditional Irish items like shepherds pie and Reuben sandwiches. Our waiter was also great and we joked around with him the whole time! A great little spot and we will definitely return!

I just stumbled across the truck but will make sure I visit Murphy's pub when I am in Agawam. The only reason I won't give 5 stars is because I thought since it was a food truck, with limited options, they might be a little cheaper, but it was well worth the money and I'd pay it again. I tried a cheese burger with fries, and fried mac and cheese bites from the food truck and I am amazed. It took less then 10 minutes, and was cooked perfectly. Excellent food, with flavor in every bite. I can honestly say I didn't even *need* to add ketchup. And the gentleman behind the counter was extremely nice and helped us find the right food combos.

We love Murphys! I couldn't ask for more of a local establishment. This place as the BEST staff, beer selection, and food we have had. With 5 T.V. screens it's amazing for sporting events as well! The entertainment always has something for everyone. BEST local spot! Coming from out of town? Enjoy!!!!!

We went for lunch as the Parthenon was closed for vacation. We were sadly disappointed. We had to wait 45 minutes for fish and chips and slidders. Fish was ok but slidders were what I call belly bombs. I think they cooked them for the full 45 minutes we waited. I don't know why the place was crowded- the fish dinner was mediocre and my slidders were terrible. Huge waste of money. I have had better fare at McDonalds. I think this place is just a bar where they want you to drink. We always drove past and said we would try, well we did and never again! They should have paid us to eat there.

I'm so torn in my feelings about Murphy's. First, the food. It's your standard bar menu, and some items are great, some are not so great. Their fried cheese is delicious, and so are their Irish nachos ( I'm a fan of all things tater tots), but their regular nachos are not so great. The pulled pork is terrible. The meat is try, and they try to overcompensate by drowning it in barbecue sauce. Their martini menu is probably my favorite thing about this place. The pineapple upside down cake is heavenly, and tastes exactly like a slice of cake. Their other specials such as the french martini and the oatmeal cookie are also quite tasty. Service is quick and friendly, considering that this place is almost always overcrowded, and there is never enough seating for the amount of Agawam townies that flood the place. Overall it's a decent Irish pub, but I'd say that some of their close by competitors are doing it better.

First time ordering from here, but it will NOT be the last!!! Ordered delivery through door dash after a long day at work (and I work in a restaurant); WOW WOW WOW The best fish and chips I've had in years!!!!!!!!!!!! Chili wasn't bad either. Only complaint was the coleslaw - Needs a flavor boost; A little vinegar and ranch dressing would go a long way. That being said, I will DEFINATLY order again. Wish I hadn't missed this place all these years!

The Wednesday night bartenders, Christine & Kaz, never fail to make us smile!! They're positive attitude and happy personalities make us excited to get a drink & order prime rib with them every Wednesday :)

The meal was absolutely excellent! Loved my pesto pie and the turkey Ruben was very good. Loved the layout, atmosphere, beer selection, and bar tenders. Point came down on noise. Really like the atmosphere with Windows.
