"Actor Bill Murray and his brothers (Andy, Ed, Joel, Johnny, and Brian-Doyle; many of who also work in TV and film) have opened a restaurant just outside of Chicago. It’s kind of a lifetime achievement award celebrating their successful careers. Fans of golf and Caddyshack will get a kick out of the space that features a colorful mural with tons of references to Bill Murray movies. The restaurant also serves dependable pub grub, like burgers," - Ashok Selvam, Naomi Waxman

"Murray Bros. Caddyshack Restaurant opened on Tuesday in Rosemont with visits from all the Murray brothers. The 8,600-square-foot restaurant is an homage to their classic golf-themed movie, Caddyshack, and visitors will find dozens of Easter eggs and ‘80s references jammed inside the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel at 9546 Balmoral Avenue in Rosemont. The restaurant was designed by an Atlanta-based firm, Z-Space Design. Caddyshack fans will likely find their favorite movie quote on the walls. There’s also a lounge with a fireplace and two Golden Tee video machines. The menu features typical bar fare with a few entrees. Bill Murray says the bacon is out of this world. Andy Murray said to try the prime rib. There are 11 signature cocktails including the “Pool Water Martini.”" - Ashok Selvam

"Murray Bros. Caddyshack Restaurant actually debuted over the weekend inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rosemont, but Murray and his brothers assembled on Tuesday morning at the restaurant to goof off at a press conference at the restaurant. The restaurant capitalizes on nostalgia from Murray’s 1980 comedy, Caddyshack. The menu features Chicago-style hot dogs, veggie options including Buffalo-style Brussels sprouts, and a prime rib described as 'literally Fred Flintstone size.' The restaurant uses environmentally friendly paper straws." - Ashok Selvam

Came here for lunch while waiting my room ready. The service was good, friendly waitress but the food was really awful… it looks more delicious than it taste. Everything in the plate was just lukewarm and tasted plain, the burger was kind of greasy after few bites. Location wise, it’s very convenient for the hotel guests but the quality makes me rather call Uber eats. I don’t think I’ll want to visit here.

It's fun and most of the food is good. The "golf balls" are fantastic if you like potatoes. Really good burgers. Fun decor. Kind of loud, but fun

So around January 2024 I was on chicago and we had an all day extravaganza on flight delays. So we decided to head out out and explore we hit the mall across from murry bros. caddy shack then cross over to the caddy.. this is where the excitement began. While there a manager named Alejandro greeted us with one of the best customer services I have ever encountered. After food recommendations and a great dinner... which by the way was way more tastier then the French dip at hell's kitchen in New Jersey by far... we had a few drinks good laughs and some great stories about Bill Murry and his family which I won't ruin the surprise, you must go down and chat with Alejandro to get the scoop. I was very impressed by the staff as well... what a great crew it felt like a family while I was there. Thank you so very much for a memorable experience you guys. And please tell Alejandro hello... I can't wait to visit again.

Delicious food and great service. There is a gift shop next to the bar. The restaurant is connected to the Crowne Plaza.

We checked this place out on our first night in Chicago. We eat out quite a bit and we liked everything we ordered. It looks like any typical bar, but they really know what they're doing in the kitchen. The chicken piccata was surprisingly good. The fish in the fish and chips was seasoned well and crispy. The star was the rack of ribs. They were perfect. The sauce was good, and the meat fell off of the bone. The sandwiches looked good, too. The fries were the only miss on our table. Put this place on your list if you're hitting the outlets! Our server was friendly and professional. I would go back.

Came here with a large group and had a good, but not great time. The place itself is large and has plenty of bar seats and tables. There is no outdoor patio. It’s connected to the hotel, parking is interesting but if you just click “intercom” everything seems to work. The food was okay, nothing special. Why 8 wings are $21, I do not know. Our server was very unfriendly and it was unfortunate that they added on the tip but didn’t tell us and we then tipped him on top of that. Sure it’s our fault for not noticing, but it explains the poor service- he knew he was getting money either way. We will not be back.

Google
Such a gimmicky place, but it works. Part sports bar, part neighborhood bar. It's a neat little place for nostalgia. The food was fantastic and the service was efficient. Its a bit pricey, but you are in Chicago. I had asked for some extra condiments but never got them. We were a little nervous of our waiter as right before we got seated he had complained to the hostess he hasn't had a break all day.... and then we got him. It was effective and efficient. Albeit not the friendliest. Worth the visit tho. May come again in the future.

Fun restaurant with playful names related to the movie. The food was excellent. I had a quinoa bowl that was delicious. It was light and not too filling.

Yelp
So fun! Great escape from a long day of conference attending. Our server, Ari, was very knowledgeable and respectful as he put up with our many questions. They had a special menu for Godzilla Fest, so that made us happy! We got the Golf Balls appetizer which is garlic mash potatoes breaded and fried. Very tasty. For entrees, we got the fish & chips and the Godzilla special menu, Skull Island Burger. Both were huge portions and very good. The atmosphere was fun with all the CaddyShack movie references.

Yelp
First, I'd like to say sorry for not posting a pic of my meal, but I did dessert. Lol, I was hungry. After so many years of seeing this place, I decided to pay a visit. I wasn't overly impressed, but not bad. There's plenty of parking. There is plenty of seating for sure and TVs everywhere showing various sports games. I stopped in here on a March Sunday. Huge bar area for seating. The noise was average and not too loud, with top 40 playing. They have booth and table seating. Normal height and counter height. The largest table seats 8, but I'm sure they could adapt for more due to all the space. The memorabilia throughout was awesome to look at, too. The staff are courteous and very attentive. You will see them moving about and checking in on you periodically. I had the blackened salmon, which was petty decent. I think it was a little overcooked but was editable and still tasty. The asparagus was off the chain and cooked to perfection. Potatoes were great, too. What was really disappointing was the menu. It wasn't what I expected. I thought there would be more. For desert, I had the gopher holes. Tasty with a lite crunch. Donut holes with cinnamon and a chocolate and Carmel sauce. Overall, the place is decent and deserves a stop, but not going out of my way, as I'm always looking for something new and unique. I did find the food a tad bit pricey. But who isn't these days. Wish them continued success.

Yelp
Caddyshack we went last year and got these two dishes, a quinoa salad and a bbq sandwich with fries. The food was okay, the ambiance was better honestly it was pretty nice inside you felt like you were in the movie but I wish the food met our expectations. We might go back and try it again! The menu is also not that big so it was hard finding something to eat that wasn't heavy!

Charles J.

Yelp
This place is depressing. I'm sure it had some quality years, but those are long gone. The appeal of poorly lit and maintained sports bars masked by slapstick humor and unrefined menu items are long gone. During the prime of his acting career, I'm sure they could get away with the price point of some of the food they are serving, but don't spend the extra $50 for what once was. Skip this place.

Dennis E.

Yelp
Fun theme. Didn't enjoy the mashed potato balls, dip and chips was fine. Sausage sandwiches were very good.

Chris M.

Yelp
the food was not good at all. burger was over cooked, fries were undercooked, appetizer was too salty to eat. I ordered the key lime pie and sent it back. the pie was brown and had grains of sugar in it. one bite and spit it out. what a disappointment!

Jim T.

Yelp
Conveniently located in the Crowne Plaza hotel, it's a themed sports bar and actor Bill Murray and his Brothers namesake. I ordered a Coors lite draft beer, lemon pepper wings and the Moving Violations burger. O was pleasantly surprised at how well the burger tasted. Juicy, tasty and large. The wings were a little too crispy but I'd rather the cook err on the side of crispy. The service was prompt and friendly. Plenty of TVs at the bar to watch a game.

Yelp
For what this place is, owed by Murray brothers & Caddyshack themed I expected more. The food was ok, about 1/2 our group of 7 liked their food. I had a meatball sandwich it was good, but nothing to get me to go back. Two ppl had cheeseburgers and did not like them, and another the spaghetti and did not like it. The service was good, but they had no suggestions when asked what we should order. The bathrooms are not close at all they are actually in the hotel. I think they could play the Caddyshack theme more and get more stand out dishes. I would Go back but wouldn't have to go back.

Jeannette T.

Yelp
I love a good theme and a good theme restaurant! This golf themed restaurant was yummy! We had the golf balls which were fried mashed potatoes with horseradish to start. The drinks were all themed and delicious. The desert we had the golfer balls which were donuts! The drinks, apps, and desert were all high points. The entree was fine. I had the chicken wrap. The service was good and the waiter was attentive. The one thing that was surprising was the location. It's right near the outlet mall which was nice but it's either connected or next to a hotel which means going into a paid lot. You don't need to pay you can get your ticket validated so you don't have to pay the 25.00 for parking. However, if you don't ask about validation they don't offer it. So ask to get your parking validated!

Yelp
The food is the only thing preventing this from being a 1-star review. Parking: You can't. Both entrances were locked with a chain. We were told repeatedly that the first entrance was locked "for the First Responders", so they can enter the parking lot. If the chain is locked, how does that help in an emergency if they have to ask the restaurant to unlock the chain or get out and cut the lock? When there's an "emergency", seconds matter. This is a safety hazard. The second entrance was closed with a chain and locked. I called the phone number and told them, and when we finally made our way inside, the Hostess kept professing, "That's the first I'm hearing of this!" Well, it shouldn't be and the entrance shouldn't have been locked. We had to park in the mall's garage, on the far end, upstairs, with a recent open heart surgery patient and an 80+ year-old having to navigate walking through a busy parking garage in sub-freezing weather. Bathrooms: Don't be in a hurry...it's in the adjacent hotel's conference center. It's very difficult to find. One of the Exit doors was locked (a violation of the fire code!), so I unlatched it. The decor was sparse. More tchotchkes might'v helped muffle the sounds of the screeching child next to us. Food was good and glad to see a small menu - I don't trust places with a novel for a menu. Service was ambivalent and possibly recently living on the street...like that morning. Prices are fair. Walked through a huge cloud of pot smoke on the way out - not the fault of the restaurant, but be aware of it if you plan on operating a motor vehicle after your 30 minute hike back to your car. Would I return? No. Would I try another location? Probably.

James S.

Yelp
This place bills itself a sports bar yet they have a policy that they won't play sound. So, if you're in Chicago, a hockey town, and you want to watch the Stanley Cup Finals, this place is NOT the place to go. Be forwarned. Ended up at Millers Ale House in Norridge, a 10 minute drive.

Cheryl W.

Yelp
I stopped in the afternoon for a few drinks. The drink menu options were great. I highly recommend the cold coffee drink. I had the French onion soup which was a nice snack. Beware that the soup doesn't come with a piece of bread on top, so ask for crackers. The staff were all professional and on top of things.

Bob K.

Yelp
Good place! If you don't have a reservation be prepared to wait 20-45 minutes. There were multiple tables open, I just think lack of servers. Our sever was excellent from the time we were seated up until the time we left - very attentive Kids max and cheese meal portion appears to be small for kids but with the side accompaniment my son was fine. Very tasty burger and I love the crinkle cut fries .

Steph D.

Yelp
The restaurant is attached to a Crowne Plaza Hotel near O'Hare airport. Out of hunger, and lack of motivation to walk to the mall or Rosemont Entertainment district-- I decided to eat dinner. I'd been flying most of the day and missed lunch. My server Matt was upbeat, friendly, and straight out of central casting for someone to support the Murray Bros. brand. I was in on a Wednesday night, and the restaurant was about a 1/4-1/3 full with a few locals and hotel guests, and an assortment of businessman sitting around the bar. The restaurant is looking a little rundown, the theme is starting to look a little weak. There really isn't anything incredibly fun, supporting the movie, other than posters and merchandise around the restaurant. And some fun nods on the menu. That being said, my burger -- the Bushwood -- was absolutely fantastic. Completely exceeded my expectations. The bacon was crisp, the burger was tasty, and the bun was delightfully soft and fresh. It was served with crispy, crinkle fries and a pickle. I also enjoyed a cheesy, steaming, hot bowl of French Onion Soup. If you're starving after a long flight, or a hotel guest, it serves it's purpose with friendly hospitality.

Alisha L.

Yelp
This place had a cool theme and staff was very friendly. We were almost the only people in the restaurant aside for two other people in the early afternoon. Food service was slow and food was your average bar food. We got the burger and meatball sub, as well as the potato golf balls. Potato balls were pretty bland and hamburger wasn't the best I've had, but was cooked well and juicy. Bread for meatball sub was good! Seems like it would be a good bar during sports games and I would try it again if I'm in the area.

James M.

Yelp
Service was fast but great. Food was mediocre at best. Parking was crazy, drove around for 20 minutes trying to find the entrance which turned out to be thru a gated hotel lot. No bathrooms on site. Waste of time and money. Drive a half mile either direction and you'll find better.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Good bar food. The Brussel sprouts were my favorite, fried pickle and the Cobb salad were excellent. But our server Julia was fantastic!! She was friendly, informative and made our dining experience great. Ask for Julia!! You won't be disappointed.

Stephen B.

Yelp
Great staff but the ambiance is horrific and the food is complete trash. Third rate restaurant for sure and it has no connection to the movie at all.

Oscar R.

Yelp
I got wings for the first time and it will be my last. They said jumbo wings but no way they were.

Kurtis S.

Yelp
I forgot to mention our waitress, Julie. If there were more people like her in the business, more restaurants would be better off in my point of view. Believe me. I've been to many states and countries. She's A+ Kurtis Marine Corps Officer

Brooke B.

Yelp
Service was slow and bored. Food took so long and it wasn't even busy. Ordered two Caesar salads. One was drenched in dressing and the other had barely any. When we discussed our dislike with the server, he just said it depended on the chef in the kitchen. No bueno.

Anthony V.

Yelp
It's your typical sports bar place. It's a great place to meet before attending an event at the Rosemont Theater, which directly across the street. The place was packed when we went; the waiter was running around crazy. Otherwise, polite and attentive to our table. The soft pretzel was ok. You could tell how they reheated it. The Buffalo Brussels sprouts I could've eaten all day! They were crunchy-chewy. Just right. My wife's Green Jacket Cobb salad was huge. Very good. Had to take 1/2 of it home. I loved! my Moving Violation burger. I really appreciate when they ask how I would like the burger cooked. And it came back perfect. It's a juicy, tender burger loaded with flavor, dripping with goodness. It's part of the hotel, so the restrooms are a bit of a walk. Very ample parking. There was a gate, but I think parking is comp'd if you eat at the Murray's or you're staying at the hotel. When going to a show at the Rosemont Theatre, this is definitely a fun, casual place to hang and get a bite before the show. Better call ahead for reservations, though. (Sorry, no pics of the burgers)

Brent S.

Yelp
If I could give this place a Negative 5, I would. Absolutely some of the worst, unprofessional service/staff I have ever encountered. Not sure about the food, I canceled my order and left.

Cindy C.

Yelp
Was there last night for dinner. Was seated with dirty paper menus. How hard would it be to print them daily? Ordered the ribs / could not even cut with a knife. One of the worst meals I have ever experienced. Service was just ok nothing to make note of just the basics. No warm welcome or thank you. Cannot recommend!

Adam T.

Yelp
Stayed at the hotel and being Chicago... it was windy and cold so we staying in and ran down to this place for a bit to eat. It was super busy in the place, had to have been a family reunion or something. But the service was good and the food really good!! The place in general was clean, and it came with a fun atmosphere. It was even more entertaining because there were a lot of people who wanted to take pictures with an older guy. He was always facing away from us, and we couldn't tell if it was Bill Murray. After he turned around, it was obviously not. So we asked "who's so important here everyone wants a pic?" Turns out, it was the owner. Needless to say, it was pretty neat to see the owner so involved with the place and all of the patrons. The staff were all good as well. Drinks never got empty and we were always checked up on. Again, it was stupid busy in there. So, bravo on keeping up with everyone. We enjoyed ourselves and will hopefully be back someday.

Nick S.

Yelp
Food and service were good and some memorabilia was around but nothing special. Parking is comped.

K S.

Yelp
Great staff and a great atmosphere. If it's busy try getting a seat at the bar. If you're rushed for time get to the bar and order as soon as the menu is handed. Otherwise it might be awhile as this place can get busy. I eat hear annually for a convention in the nearby hotel so I can say that the menu is hit and miss. Some things are really great. Other things are still pretty good for a hotel bar. Had the burger last time. It was what you expected from of a good burger. Nothing special and nothing bad. Kind of like a boogey for a Plus 40 golfer. Substituted onion rings for fries with the burger and got THREE yep... That's three onion rings. I tried to eat them really slowly so they lasted longer. Did I say 3? Just making sure. But other than that... great drinks, nice atmosphere... I'll eat here again. But I'll think twice about getting those delicious onion rings if I'm hungry.

Traveling J.

Yelp
It was ok overall. The food we found to be very tasty and delicious. The service was not what I would have expected it to be. Our server was quite condescending but he did get our order correct. The parking is free thank goodness. It's not the restaurant's fault but I want to state that there were several guests of the hotel outside the front door smoking the worst weed I have ever smelled. The interior was the most disappointing. It was so bright and the design was rather more like someone's basement. I would have thought I would have looked more like Thornwood. Not sure if we will go back.

Amy S.

Yelp
We went here while we were attended an event at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center. The service was fantastic -- very friendly and accommodating with special requests and dietary needs. The menu was somewhat limited, but the food was good -- mostly bar fare. I had the Parmesan crusted filet medallions, along with their clam chowder and my son had the burger. We both left happy and satisfied. Prices were reasonable too. The place looks a bit run down from the outside. Inside is clean, but very dark and nothing fancy. It's decorated with golf memorabilia and photos of Bill Murray and his brothers. I would return.

Dan Z.

Yelp
Went there for the first time with a group of eight. Was very excited to go. Assuming the Murray brand name would make this place top notch. It was underwhelming. Not horrible but nothing special. Service was very friendly but slow. It's a huge place, so when the waiter went to the kitchen, he disappeared for a long periods of time. The food was OK. Not great but not bad. The good news is the cocktail menu was very creative and the drinks were good. If you wanted to go to the bathroom, it's in the hotel next-door, which was sort of strange. Not a bad thing, but be prepared to walk quite a ways, I think my expectations were too high. I was really excited to go, but in the end it was slightly above average. I would go again, but I would probably not go out of my way to go again.

Jeff P.

Yelp
Yikes...could've made it myself. Crinkle fries seemed microwaved. Service was good but slow. The place is really rough to look at old wouldn't go back

Kurtis S.

Yelp
Very good food. Very good service. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The clam chowder was nice and warm, and the Caesar Salad was delicious.

Annie L.

Yelp
This restaurant looks good on the outside but its food is just average at best. I ordered the chicken Parmesan which came with vegetables that were burnt and didn't taste very good. My friends sandwiches didn't look appealing as well. It is inside the Crown Plaza hotel so maybe hotel guests who don't have access to a car have no choice but to eat here?

Jonny V.

Yelp
Been here a couple of times now and thoroughly food is great! Love the fish fry, the calamari and potato balls. Just really confused as to why the discontinued THE WEDGE SALAD!!! It was one of your most popular items and now it's just gone.... Bring back the Wedge Salad!!!!

Erienne S.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in the Crowne Plaza. We are staying here for an event across the street. The theme is obviously after the movie, and has a classy sports bar feel. We sat at the bar and were greeted and served promptly. My only real critiques are on the food. We really loved the Buffalo brussel sprouts. I got the Italian Beef and my husband got a truffle burger. Beef sandwich had good flavor, but in my opinion should have the peppers on the sandwich instead of on the side. Burger is a hefty patty, but I would suggest changing the bun to accommodate. The bun falls apart before you finish your bite. Crinkle fries are my favorite, but should have been in the fryer a moment or so more. I know it's nitpicking, but it makes a difference.

Arthur B.

Yelp
A solid place to drink beer and watch sports. The food isn't amazing BUT if you're staying in a nearby hotel and are looking for a sports bar, this is your place.

Jen S.

Yelp
Found myself back at this hotel again so I gave Caddyshack another shot. The staff could not be friendlier. Really. Super chill and made for a great experience. I got the Murray burger and holy cow was it delish!! As cheeseburgers go, it's everything you want in a great burger. The GIANT onion rings were super as well. I also got the nachos and these were a big disappointment. I would liken them to junk fast food nachos with rando avocado on top. The salsa on the side was tasty but there was barely any cheese, like someone tossed it on from across the kitchen. Overall, much better experience!!

Jenni S.

Yelp
The food was awful. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap and I'm pretty sure it was microwaved. The lettuce was soggy and hot. The fries were like frozen fries you'd make at home. Our server was nice but forgot stuff. The bathroom was also incredibly far away - in the ballroom area of the hotel. The booths have also seen better days. I felt like i was sitting in a pothole. Outside the window was about 10 years of dust too. Ick.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Amazing service! Heather was full of energy , engaging, and extremely attentive! Food was also great. Would definitely go back again!

Karen A A.

Yelp
Good food, excellent service and sports atmosphere! Glad I got there and worth it. Sit at the bar if you can very fun.

Pam B.

Yelp
Days of the Dead was just here at the hotel and EXCLUSIVELY uses Caddyshack for their VIP, parties, and every day meals. OMG and the drinks! And IPA's! Mike and his team, (Ryan, Connor and all the others I cant remember, sorry) are by far the best in terms of service, food and most of all, hospitality. It's all so YUMMY. Will be back over and over. Well done Bill Murray, couldn't have picked a better spot, or team.

Hayley R.

Yelp
Pretty tasty place. We ate here because we were staying in the hotel attached to it. So for a "hotel" restaurant it wasn't bad. We had the crispy potato golf balls that were pretty darn good and our whole table got a burger of some sort because that was what was recommended as the best on the menu.

Johanna B.

Yelp
Diner/bar food. Nothing special. Good drinks. Great service. Gets pretty crowded and loud. Decent local sports bar.

Pete R.

Yelp
While it seems to be nothing more than an exhaustive attempt milk the Caddyshack franchise for all its worth, the menu covers most bases, the food itself was commendable (especially the lady's 'crunch salad'), and the Thursday night light-business/sports viewing atmosphere was very nice. We unfortunately did not get a chance to check out the Murray Brothers museum as that could've been pretty cool, we do like the Crown Plaza hotel it's attached to, esp the location just off the many Rosemont entertainment and dining options. Other than the place needing another employee or two (no host or bar backs that night), our experience was largely positive.

Alexis T.

Yelp
First time eating here and was very dissapointed. We ordered the nachos with an upcharge of $8 to add beef. There was barely any beef on the nachos and the cheese was only on the bottom layer of nachos. $22 for nachos, I would expect them to be above average! We ordered burgers and they were not anything special along with the fries. The waitress was super sweet though, but I will not be returning especially after seeing the prices and the quality you get :(

Joseph G.

Yelp
Was there on a Saturday night, they weren't particularly busy but we waited 2 HOURS for our food! It looked as though the wait staff was short handed but again our waiter really didn't keep a good watch on our wait time. The table next to us came in, ate and left and we still didn't have our food! We were ready to cancel our order and leave when finally our food arrived, again 2 HOURS later!!!!!!!!!!!!! the manager did finally come over and comp our bill and said there was an incident in the kitchen. it was a nice gesture but damage was done, if our waiter had been more vigilant I believe all could have been avoided . With the amount of restaurants in the area to choose from I believe I will never go back to give them a second chance! Food wise , it was just ok, nothing special.

Yelp
Food was not what u would expect when ur paying 20 bucks a burger. Service was good. He was on it. The place was a bit worn down. Needs a bit of un update. Probably not going to go back. Sorry Bill.

Yelp
Strong drinks. Nice atmosphere in the middle of airport hotel hell. Staff clearly working as a team. Perfect place for an easy bite and nightcap after a travel day.
