food quality: 5/5 service: 5/5 cleanliness: 5/5 value: 5/5 Murray’s Cheese Bar is one of the best! The staff is always top notch and welcoming the moment you walk in and the restaurant is always clean. I brought my sister here today and she was also impressed with the flavors for all the dishes we ordered. We got the Truffle Mac and Cheese, Fried Brussels Sprouts, and Pickled Vegetables to share. Everything was packed with flavor and the pasta was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
YES. This is the restaurant brought to you by the Murray's Cheese, and it is yummy! Come here for brunch, HH or dinner. It was a quiet summer HH evening and I enjoyed the clean, welcoming space both in the store and in the restaurant and bar area. Carefully crafted cocktails and friendly attentive staff, very professional and excellent service. For HH I enjoyed a Rose and then ordered off full menu for the essential grilled chela salad on the side. It was perfect! I found the wings just fine, would explore more of the menu when I come back. Also, this was an easy 20 min commute from the UES. Make a rezzy during peak hours. Enjoy!!

Overall I gave this place 4/5 stars because the service and atmoshphere/environment were great! I went on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately the day I went the food was not great ... read below for details but overall I would recommend at at the very least I know I'm going to make another trip here to try it again perhaps try other things on the menu that are a better taste match for my taste buds & maybe a better day for the kitchen 🤷‍♀️ So the drinks were amazing! Hands down! I'd definitely go here again for drinks and the vibe. We asked for recommendations based on what we liked, and we were not disappointed!!!! Another reason for 4 🌟! Mini sliders with cheese, bacon & egg - these were disappointing 😞 neither myself nor the person I was with like these, unfortunately. Can't put our finger on it but we didn't like the taste. We tried 2 different types of Mac n cheese - both which we enjoyed! They do have outdoor seating but at this time bc of the weather it's closed or at least everyone was choosing to sit inside.

Google
Ordered the truffle Mac & Cheese (their signatures! our server also suggested lobster and clam mac & cheese :)) along with mini sliders and Murray’s Melt(i loved how cheesy it was). Great for small bites for wine night!

Google
Murrays has amazing world renowned cheeses in their stores. I flew from Texas to try their restaurant and I was not disappointed. Everything is on point. Great food, comfortable atmosphere and great staff. Will visit again!

Google
Had a good experience eating lunch here. The portions are generous and although the menu isn’t too big, you’ll find good vegetarian options. We ordered the caprese sandwich (good for two), their cheese melt and a small mac n cheese. We also tried the tomato soup (thick and hearty) and several cheeses and the pistacchio spread (think of a Nutella but with pistachios) is delicious. The mac n cheese was creamy, al dente, and was one of the best we’ve had. Another day I had a happy hour cocktail and that was good too. Just think they are unfortunately understaffed; probably one waiter for the whole floor, so the wait times are greater and their attention span is lower. Overall, pretty good food (lots of carbs, though), friendly staff and good cheeses.

Google
A hopping joint! We made reservations on Open Table for 6 pm for two, and that was the last available reservation until 9:45! And when people came in without reservations, they had to turn them away until after 10! So don't make that mistake! We had their signature Mac and cheese with bacon added and crispy onion pieces on top, as recommended by our Waiter. I am not overstating when I say this was by far the best Mac & Cheese I've ever had!! My daughter agreed! So creamy and cheesy with strings of cheese pulling with every bite! The nice thick bacon was cooked to perfection! It looks like a small serving when the Waiter serves it, but we couldn't finish all the rich goodness!! A not to be missed stop in the West Village if you are a cheese lover like we are!! I would definitely go back!!

Yelp
I've been frequenting Murray's cheese bar for about 2 years now and the service has always been phenomenal !! Once you enter the establishment you're either greeted by a host and/or the staff behind the bar. The seating is comfortable at both the bar and the tables. I don't work too far from the establishment so this place is my happy hour go to from 3pm-7pm. My ultimate fave would be a flavored margarita (they incorporate REAL fruit !!) and a Cheese board. Over time I've tried dozens of assorted cheeses and spreads served with their soft bread, let me just say the cheese bar never misses ! The Mac and cheese is awesome and the Garlic Parmesan wings are TOP NOTCH! All the staffs are my fave and their management is just as a delightful. Thank you guys for always going above and beyond see you soon ! Christina (a fave regular ha)

Yelp
Great happy hour spot - 3-7pm on weekdays and they have happy hour deals on food and drinks. Pretty extensive options - cheese board, wings, nachos, cocktails, wine/beer, etc. Friendly and attentive service. They checked in throughout the meal to make sure everything was going well. While we were waiting for our food there was a staff who came around with a sample of cheese/crackers from the retail side. Ordered cocktails (~$11 each) and a 3 cheese board ($18) and wings (6 for $12). They also let you mix 2 flavors of wings in an order. Overall decent deal for LIC. Overall had a nice experience here. The cheese options with the different jams and breads were great. The wings are nicely fried and very flavorful. Would recommend this spot for both small and larger parties and for a causal nice evening.

Yelp
There is a little cheese store attached with all the items you need to make a charcuterie board. We chose to sit at the bar. Service was great. Lots of fun drink options. Drinks were super tasty. We opted to start with the Murray choice Three cheese platter and it was so good surprisingly filling and came with a plate of bread. Platter came with pistachio butter and that was so good that we even bought a jar before we left. For the main, we shared the truffle mac & cheese, which was really good. All in all a great place to grab drinks and do some cheese tasting. They do even have wine flights and beer flights.

Yelp
A friend recommended this to me as a restaurant rather than a cheese shoppe (they are connected). It's an open, bright, airy spot in Long Island City, easily accessible from Manhattan, right next to the subway stop. Service was great. The people are awesome, so I want to get that out of the way immediately. The food is, of course, cheese based. I went during brunch, so my choices were a little more limited. For brunch they have Mac n cheese (I'm sure that's decadent and heavy!). They have a butter board and ciabatta. They have soups: French onion, chicken noodle, tomato. Breakfast sandwiches, quiche, melts, and more. I had the brunch burger, which had a decent flavor, but wasn't my favorite. Though topped with an egg, it was a little underwhelming. If doing brunch again, I would do the meat and cheese board (multiple options to mix and match cheese and meat and various price levels), and a few other small sides, or maybe the quiche. Lunch and dinner expands a bit: Brussel sprouts, salads, poutine, cheese curds, sliders, lobster bisque, burrata (I'm going to start putting this in every review--when will this trend die?!). There are also entrees, such as mushroom risotto, meatloaf, turkey shepherds pie, rasta pasta. I had a couple of cocktails that were wildly underwhelming, so I recommend going with wine. Why five stars with all the complaints? One, service is so cool and welcoming. Two, I just didn't capitalize on the best parts of this place. It's not a cocktail bar. Don't hone in on the cocktails. Two, the dishes are fine, but this place is best for: first dates or casual outings where you enjoy a cheese and/or meat board with wine. Then maybe stroll next door to buy some of the cheeses you tried. Also, don't fall into the trap of thinking this place is an independent little NY shoppe. This place is owned by Kroger. Cool place, just know what it is, and set yourself up for success. And one more time: the service here--the people--are awesome, now matter what.

Yelp
Returned for dinner on a Friday and sat at the bar. I ordered a coquito colada (seasonal cocktail) which was amazing, then my boyfriend and I shared: + Butternut squash soup + Caesar salad + Classic Mac + Murray's wings (hot honey blue and truffle BBQ) It's mostly only worth getting the mac and cheese here, but everything else was solid enough. Would consider just grabbing drinks at the bar next time, too!

Yelp
I've always passed by this place whenever I'm in the lic area. I finally got to try it out, and it was good and bad. I went on MLK day around lunchtime, and it wasn't crowded. The bad thing about it was that the service was really slow and the food wasn't that warm. Perhaps the service wasn't that great since there was only one waitress the entire time. I don't get why the food wasn't warm when it came out in a skillet. Of course, when you go to a cheese restaurant, you have to try out cheese dishes. Otherwise, why else would you go? I did enjoy the food even if it wasn't warm. The poutine was really good with the gravy as the sauce. The JP's Murray's Melt was a grilled cheese sandwich simply put. For extra, you can get tomato sauce, and it goes well with the cheese melt. The other meal that I got was the Buffalo chicken Mac, and if it was hot, it would've been better. All in all, I would like to go back to try other items off the menu in the future.

Yelp
Their Macaroni and Cheese ranks top 3 for me! Pretty big portions although they are on the pricier side. I will say that their music taste is immaculate-- I was saving a lot of songs on their playlist, truly a vibe. Would recommend having a date night here!

Yelp
This review is long overdue! Been going here about a year now since my top 2 favorite cheese spots closed. Murrays doesn't disappoint at all. The portions are always fair, consistent, and the staff (both at this location and their grand central location) is very knowledgeable and passionate. What's more is, from other places I've noticed that a lot of their selection can easily be found at your local grocery store. I've feel that Murray's has a better, more unique selection in this regard. Love their creative pairings too. Had. Abad experience with another spot recently, and I'm going to stick to Murray's from now on.

Yelp
Why three stars? The food is a good fourth star is maybe 4 1/2. Service is lovely. Held our reservation from Resy. It's all about customer service. The mongers cheese board with three cheeses and a two meat charcuterie platter were delicious. However, they shouldn't serve pepperoni. It's classless. And the almonds had absolutely no flavor. I asked for a glass of Shiraz. Was told they didn't have the Shiraz but would substitute with a Cabernet. When the check came they up charged me for the Cabernet instead of charging me the lower price for the Shiraz I asked for it. It is not my fault they did not have the Cabernet. Hubby ordered an old-fashioned. Had a huge ice cube, and about an inch of liquor. Was very disappointed. Next thing you know they bring another old fashion to the table and we told them we didn't order it. So the waiter passes the manager, and the manager turns around and brings the drink back to the table. And of course they charged us for the second old-fashioned we did not order.. In all fairness the second old-fashioned had the right amount of liquor in it. We ordered a grilled cheese. We asked if we could have a gazpacho instead of tomato soup. No they said. They only have two kinds of soup. It's not a big deal to substitute one for the other strictly on a customer service basis. Or they could have said yes that will be a dollar more. In any case we decided not to get the gazpacho because I make that at home and it's really very good. I love cheese. All kinds any time every day anyway. But I just not coming back here. It's pretty pricey for what it is, but what isn't prithese days?

Yelp
Came here for a casual weekend dinner. This is located on one of the busier streets of LIC. As you can see, the inner decor is pretty unique, makes it feel great to sit both at the bar and the tables. The server was very nice, we came around 5p so not many people there. He helped us decide what to order and what's popular in the place. The food was good, it's always to have a good old cheese sandwich or sliders, which were what we got. I would love to try more of their cheese selection next time though!

Yelp
The restaurant was clean and staff was very friendly. I would probably give overall experience a 3.5 We ordered nachos, fries, Caesar salad, and classic Mac n cheese. My Mac was brought out almost immediately by itself. I have never been to a restaurant that brought out my meal before the salad and without the other persons food. I asked if I could have my salad first and be served my food with my husbands and the sever was very understanding. He said that the chef just put it out but he would take it back. They served my salad next which was very good (even with the slightly stale tasting croutons). The dressing had a great flavor and there was plenty of it. It was a good size. When my mac came out I was a little disappointed. It was pretty small and a little dried out around the edges. They had definitely put it under the warmer since bringing it to me the first time. I guess I'm partly to be me for that. The flavor was great but the size for the price didn't quite justify it for me. My husband enjoyed the fries and nachos. I tasted the fries and pimento cheese from the nachos and they were good. Our last hiccup came when the bill arrived and we were charged a different price for the salad than what was listed on the menu. We asked the server and he fixed it for us no problem. It is always just awkward having to mention it. Overall food was good but probably not worth the price point for me.

Yelp
Parking is insane, just know you'll have a hard time unless you're gonna pay for parking. But once you get in ..... you're happy to be seated and simply looking forward to a nice evening.... Then we tried that truffle Mac and cheese and now we're happy we stuck with it. The food was soooo good. The drinks were tasty (strong ) overall we can't wait to go back. We also had the Brussels sprouts which were amazing and the truffle bbq wings. But the truffle Mac stole the show! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
The interior of the restaurant was spacious and very chic and comfortable. The food was good although a bit on the expensive side. I had the murray cheese melt with tomato soup. The grilled cheese was delicious especially dipped in the soup. The soup came garnished with some cheese puffs. It was very flavorful but heavy and a bit over salted. It was a satisfying meal even though I couldn't finish the soup.

Yelp
Went here on a random weekday to try out and it really is a great casual spot to have a date in or just catch up with someone. The service is okay, the ambience is decent, but the food is pretty good. There was obviously a lot of cheese in every dish but nothing messed with my stomach which really surprised me. The lychee margarita was great- highly recommend the seasonal mac n cheese as well. I'd go again to try their other two mac n cheese dishes as well as their sandwich.

Yelp
Tried out Murray's cheese bar and wow. Cue the drool!! There were so many great choices to choose from on the menu and we went with: Fried Brussels Sprouts - Crème Fraiche, Bacon Bits & Apple Cider Glaze Truffle Mac and Cheese - Black Truffle & Pecorino Tartufo Cheese blend Seasonal Mac - Roasted Butternut Squash, Red Wax Gouda & Cheddar Blend, Topped w/ Crispy Sage Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Cheese is the only thing that stands between me and veganism so I was excited to see there was a Murray's in the neighborhood upon moving! Whenever I visit I, at minimum, order the 3 cheese platter which they typically pair with complementary preserves and bread. There are so many delicious cheeses to choose from but I defer to the staff for recommendations and they never disappoint! I've had too many cheeses to name ranging from creamy to hard, mild to sharp. While I enjoy their cheese or offering I do not find their overall menu very exciting. After trying several of the mac and cheese options as well as the Brussels sprouts I've decided to stick to my usual cheese plate order. The mac was a bit bland with very mild cheese flavors and the Brussels sans bacon was a bit on the sweet side for me. Murray's offers happy hour on the early side as far as happy hours go but they always have a good menu including seasonal drinks like the frozen Yuzu Additionally they participate in Too Good to Go, where they sell food at highly discounted costs to prevent waste. I haven't visited for brunch yet so I'm giving them 4 stars on the promise of the menu and their unbeatable cheese pairings.

Yelp
The food is amazing and the service is priceless! Cheeses I never would have thought of are so delicious! You must visit.and support this business.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday morning around noon; not busy and seated right away. Friendly staff We ordered the Monger's Choice Charcuterie Plate (2 sliced meats and 1 pate-like meat), the truffle Mac and cheese (small size; great truffle flavor and very filling for 2), and fried Brussels sprouts. Also got a red sangria (delicious and generous pour) Would love to come back sometime and try the lobster Mac and cheese, and pistachio cheesecake for dessert!

Yelp
I love having Murray's Cheese Bar in the neighborhood!! Their food is delicious and I love the ambiance. It's also very clean. I like the fact that after you eat you can just walk to the other side of the restaurant to the store area, where you can purchase cheese, meat and some of their other items.

Yelp
Well, if you're trying to be a European or French cheese and wine shop, then you've at least got down the slow pace of service. Probably shouldn't take 20 minutes to prepare a 3 cheese board with a handful of nuts, a lemon glaze or something, and some jam, but that's what I took. And while I will give full marks for the large ice cube in my old fashioned, this wasn't a good old fashioned. As for the cheese, the hard cheese and creamy cheese were good though I was not a fan of if they it apple butter or jam or whatever. The stanky cheese was good, but it really needed something sweet like honey, but instead it was served with this off lemon glaze or something on the side. I have never seen that on a cheese board, and for good reason. Those flavors didn't remotely work. If you're a cheese monger, you have to be better at matching flavors. This person didn't know what they were doing.

Yelp
So today we went for a birthday dinner for my brother. Service was AMAZING! We had arrived earlier and were greeted the minute we came in and they offered us to try a cheese which was delicious. Everyone was asked if their food/ drinks were good or if anything else was needed. We were also checked on throughout the night. Food was amazing ! The cheese platter, the different Mac and cheese or sandwich. Everyone truly enjoyed their meal. I recommend everyone to try here. The vibe was perfect , good energy all around. Will definitely come again ! Thank you again

Yelp
We came here because we were craving a charcuterie board and it was available with rewards on Seated! I got the ube latte, which was delicious, but I think needed more coffee. The deluxe board was a fun experience, but I didn't like their duck items as much as I thought. I thought the duck meats could have been better, and the blue cheese was my favorite. Maybe that means I lack taste? Really cool piece though, and would recommend as a shared appetizer for a group of four or more. I'd probably come back for their Mac and cheese!

Yelp
Went out to Murray's for dinner tonight -- it's been on my list to try for some time now, and I was super excited to finally try it. It did not disappoint. The service was incredible -- the staff was warm and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Food was excellent -- highly recommend the mac & cheese! Can't wait to go back here. (:

Yelp
Details make the difference! While looking for a restaurant close to my hotel, this place popped up. It's also close to both Queens Plaza and Queensboro Plaza, so what a great meeting up place it would make before taking the subway. Cintrella opened the door to escort us in with a wide smile and quickly found us a table that would accommodate suitcases (we were on our way to the airport.) She also provided us with a sample of some iced coffee dessert (the name escapes me-but it was wonderful.) I had the sliders and was quite impressed with the bleu cheese/house-made apple butter combination. My son (who works in fine dining in Manhattan) really enjoyed the French onion chicken sandwich of the day. I wanted the lemon ginger hot tea, but they were out. The server immediately suggested the lemon orange tea and offered to add ginger to it. She added enough to make it delicious! Allow time to order, eat, enjoy, and browse the adjoining cheese shop - I wish I had found this place in my way into town instead of the way out of town. It would have been a great source of snacks and multiple meals. Kudos to Cintrella- she's on her game!

The food delicious. It is quit after 4 PM. Services is little slow eventhough it is not crowded. Ambiance is good for afternoon dinner.

Yelp
Made a special stop while in NYC. The new location is larger but the food was as good as I remember it. The tomato soup I need to find a way to replicate at home in Ohio.

Yelp
Arrived around 6 p.m. on Halloween night for their happy hour. The place was empty, except for one or two other tables. The lights were way too bright and the Halloween themed music felt odd (note: they had a handwritten sign on the door stating that they weren't handing out candy). We were quickly seated by the host, who later turned out to also be the server and bartender. The happy hour menu is quite large, although the prices aren't that special (e.g., a glass of wine is $10). When he eventually returned to the table to take our order, we had to ask for water. We ordered two glasses of wine, seasoned olives and trail mix. It was several minutes before the wine and food came to the table. I was super disappointed to see that the olive appetizer was basically a large bowl of Kalimantan olives (nothing else!) and the trail mix was straight out of a bag from the grocery store. No thought, no care, simply basic. The wine was fine. We briefly considered having another glass, but ended up leaving and buying a bottle of wine down the street. I love a good happy hour, but this one missed the mark.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of Murray's Cheese, and was so happy when this location popped up in LIC. I often frequent the Grand Central Murray's, which has an amazing selection. This location is pretty small on the market side, with half of the space being used for the sit down portion. The selection of cheeses here, while good, is unfortunately very limited compared to the other locations that I also go to. Some of my favorite options are never there, which is really unfortunate. Also, most of the cheese are already pre-cut and wrapped in plastic wrap instead of cheese paper, which is more annoying after you take it home. I've never had the chance to sit down to eat at Murray's, but I have had the mac and cheese, which is fine. I'm really glad to have this Murray's location in the area. I do wish the selection were larger, but I know there are space constraints.

Yelp
I wanted to leave a review for the woman who was a saint who worked the night of Tuesday March 12. I came in around 8:20 pm looking for a quick bite. I had seen the Yelp reviews and it was close to my hotel. I was told by the guys working the restaurant that the kitchen was closed. I didn't realize how late it was and being from out of town, I thought New York never sleeps... I guess not the case for Long Island City. I walked into the store part of the restaurant to see if there was something I could take back to my hotel. The woman working the register asked what I was looking for and I explained I was looking for some soup she said they had some frozen soup , we chatted a little more and I said understood that it's too late for the tomato soup . She ended up going above and beyond saying NO! It's not closed until 8:30 and you have time. I didn't want to put anyone out, but she TOTALLY took care of me, getting me my soup, some croutons and even some bread to go. It was the best soup I've had in a LONG time and I believe it tasted so much better because she didn't turn me away. I wished I had gotten her name, but I did give her a big hug and a big tip for being a kind and loving human. I will tell all of my colleagues who stay in this area to come to this restaurant, because of her.

Yelp
The mac and cheese was absolutely delicious! Prices are on the higher side and service is slightly slow . They do have a nice happy hour too

Yelp
I was so excited when Murray's announced they'd be opening up a wine and cheese bar in LIC. But then the pandemic happened and opening was delayed and like everyone else I stayed home more.. And then we moved to LA.. On a recent trip back to NY, we were staying at a hotel in LIC so I got to pop in here for a drink. Beautiful space! Excellent wine menu. And of course, the cheese-centric menu. Just wish I got to enjoy it more often before leaving NY.

Yelp
Wowww! What a roller coaster experience. We got in and was promptly seated, great vibe, great ambiance, we are feeling good. It was a little awkward getting our order in as the server had to check with the back with every question we asked (we asked what the sandwich special was and if I could add burrata to the Mac and cheese, not hard questions) but we laughed through the awkwardness. Food came and I found Murray's always surprise us a little with their flavor in a good way. Drinks were good. We loved the Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese was alright, turkey sandwich was good, I could have done without the cauliflower soup, and the goat cheese cheese cake was amazing, except it was topped with over stale pecans that taste like the cupboard. Took 10 minutes to get the wrong bill, then another 10 minutes to get the correct bill. Had to ask 3 times to get container for leftovers. All in all, horrible service, good food, good ambiance. If you have lots of time to sit around and wait in a restaurant, I guess you could check it out.

Yelp
I am a cheese person, I love cheese and I am so happy with this LiC flagship and Cheese Shop! I have been to the Cheese Bar several times since they opened, always good experience from take out during Pandemic to outdoor dining and now indoor. My all time favorite is the Murray's Melt Sandwich (blend of 3 cheeses). It's simple yet so creamy cheesy delicious!

Yelp
Great spot with great vibes and kind and attentive staff. Obviously amazing food and wine selection. The Grand charcuterie board is delish as is the truffle max and cheese. But don't sleep on the ceasear salad. That is amazing. Definitely a great spot for friends to catch up or even for a quiet nosh at the bar. Nice addition to LIC!

Yelp
I used to live in Jackson Park which is right above where Murray's Cheese is located. After two years of waiting for the opening, I finally got to try it recently. Due to covid, I ordered takeout and tried the grilled cheese, Mac and cheese, seasonal salad and burrata. I made sure to eat a lactaid before digging into all the cheesy goodness. This location is also connected to a store so we bought some pimiento cheese and baguette to complement our order. If I'm ever in the mood for cheese this is my go to spot, it was worth the wait!
google avatar

Yelp
I found this place from TooGoodToGo and purchased a surprise bag of select cheeses (dealer's choice). The staff member that I interacted with was friendly and thorough, making sure I had my retrieval code. One of the cheeses is my favorite- Gouda! So super duper jackpot for me. Currently, they have a limit on the # of customers that can enter into the store, so be sure to take notice.

Yelp
I have been coming to the Murray's LIC location for the past 3 months. I'm not a New Yorker, but am in LIC every few weeks for work. It's amazing, but the bartender/server Brie ALWAYS remembers me! What great service, and it makes me feel so welcome at a time when I'm away from home. Warning: the cheese and charcuterie boards are too big for one person (at least for me). But great for 2-4 people. If you're dining by yourself, not to worry! Their other menu items are delicious. My favorite is the cauliflower soup with anchovy toasted croutons. It was so delicious, I recreated it at home! For great service and yummy food, I definitely recommend this location.

Yelp
A bit torn about this review, but decided to average my last few visits. The first time we visited we had a great time. We loved the food/drinks and service. They have yummy cocktails, and I need to visit during happy hour to take advantage of it! Would've been a solid 4 star experience. Yesterday we ordered a truffle Mac & cheese before tax and upgraded it to a larger size ($31 before tax). See the photo to see how small a "large" is. I can't even imagine what a "small" would be. Also, Mac and cheese is a pasta, but this was so incredibly dry my jaw started aching from chewing. I could bet money that this was a previous batch that was microwaved. Pasta that comes out of a pot of water does not turn rock hard like this one did. Murray's LIC, please do better.

Yelp
Pricey, but tasty! The charcuterie board with three cheeses is $27, but the pairings were delicious. There was a pistachio "nutella" that was absolutely amazing. For drinks, we had the lunar hard seltzers for $10 in plum and lychee, both yummy and light. Our server was new but super sweet. Of note, they are only self service on weekdays from 12-4p.

Yelp
Very mediocre and I'll never come back again. The staff were super nice and friendly but inattentive. My salmon was fishy and WAY too salty, possible explanation is to maybe cover the fishy smell/ taste with the excessive salt and seasoning. Next off to the wine list. Nothing to rave about. The cheese board came with a variety of cheese, yes it's nice but also not the finest and the highest quality cheese I've ever had. Also it's unfortunate the outdoor tables are right next to the train station.

Yelp
This mini Murray's makes some to die for grub!!! I had a bomb cauliflower soup with buttery croutons - two of them intact that would not be out of place at a fine dining establishment. The shop is small but they are mega nice- this is Queens after all. Soups and sandwiches at lunch and some curated formidable dinner entrees. My cauliflower soups were $7 each I bought a lovely pesto in the dip. A great addition to LIC and with grub this great- yo I will be back for that dinner chicken.

Yelp
I cannot wait till I can dine in. They just opened so we were only able to do pick up. I forgot to take pictures. The inside is pretty sweet. The cement walls felt factory like. There's a section when you walk in that have comfy pillows. I cannot wait to sit in that section when they open. Besides being a restaurant its also a shop too. You have to try the grilled cheese. Its ooey-gooey delicious. Its called a murrays melt with three blended cheeses. The assortment cheese board was $20 but it was really good. The side salad we ate was very fresh as well. The customer service here was very friendly. They are practicing social distancing rules. I appreciate how close to the train.

Yelp
This place is magnificent. You must try the seasonal Mac Meal. I was here a few months ago on my business trip. We stopped here to grab lunch in the city. Murrays Cheese Bar will blow you away. Fresh home made natural cheese. Also had some drinks to quinch the thirst. Great staff and atmosphere in the city. Its like a family restaurant. Food and cheese is great. I will be back again.

Yelp
An excellent lunch in all aspects. The meal was a bit heavier than I was expecting (not a complaint), but oh so delicious. Two of us shared sandwiches - the grilled cheese with bacon, and the goat cheese/tomato/lettuce sandwich. Both were great, leaning more towards the grilled cheese (of course). Both sandwiches came with a very large side salad. Service was simple but attentive, and prices were reasonable. They have a great little shop selling products in the restaurant as well.

Yelp
I came here for the first time and it was a nice surprise. The tomato soup and truffle Mac and cheese were amazing. We also ordered the Ch' mores and it was different but tasted great. I will be coming back at some point!

Yelp
Conveniently located just steps from my apartment, Murrays is a great addition to the developing neighborhood. I enjoyed some solo outdoor dining a few weeks ago and it was the perfect meal for a cozy evening i planned to spend at home curled up on my couch with a good movie. I opted for their classic grilled cheese and tomato soup which I paired with a glass of their white wine. I was waited on quickly and food came shortly after. The waitress was kind enough to let me try the wine before I committed, and her recommendation was right. The grilled cheese was battery and gooey with just the right amount of "cheese pull" and combination of sharp and milk cheeses. The soup was perfectly portioned for spooning and dunking. It was served piping hot and had a nice balance of both acidic tomato flavor and creaminess. Its convenient location, happy hour specials and great simple bites make this an ideal local spot for me :)

Yelp
Such cheesy goodness. I live right upstairs in the building above the cheese bar and every time I pass by and look through the window I can't help but drool a little bit (okay, more like A LOT). I mean, good food, amazing drinks, and lots of CHEESE - what's not to like?! Must get cocktails: The spicy yuzu kosho margarita is so addicting- I love yuzu kosho as an ingredient in food but have never seen it in a cocktail before- putting it in a frozen spicy margarita is genius! Green light - gin cocktail with kiwi and a mint sugar rim. So fun! Must get food: Lamb Meatballs - wowww. Just get it and thank me later. Red pepper cavatelli - I was pretty impressed to learn that the cavatelli is made in-house by the chef! Texture was perfect, and the whole Burrata on top was just heaven. Grilled cheese - don't take this to go. You have to eat this fresh as soon as it comes out of the kitchen to understand why people are obsessed with the grilled cheese here. Every time I see someone taking it to go I cry a little. Marinated Meredith dairy feta - beautiful presentation, the perfect appetizer. I'm slowly making my way through the entire food and cocktail menu with each visit downstairs. There's seating both outside and inside (gorgeous space) and the staff is so, so friendly and accommodating. ILYSM Murray's!

Yelp
I'm in love and that's all I have to say. But if you need more elaboration, it's the mac and cheese!! So incredibly delicious! It has everything I want: al dente spiral noodles, cheese that's not a wet sauce, breadcrumbs for crunch, and seasoning! There is actually flavor to this mac and cheese and it's not just a one note flavor profile. Honestly the best I've had by FAR. Their grilled cheese is pretty damn good as well. I always get the classic. Bread is buttered and toasty. Cheese is nice and melty. But what makes it 10x better is the tomato soup! Again, they know how to season! There is actual flavor in the soup that goes beyond crushed tomatoes. Plus it has that nice creamy texture. I also tried their caprese sandwich. I thought it was a grilled cheese version but it's a cold sandwich so I was a little disappointed. However, it was a good sandwich. The pesto was delicious and salty. Tomatoes were nice and roasted. Cheese didn't wow me like the rest did but there was a nice thick layer in there. Will definitely go back for more!
