I went with my woman and we both enjoyed our time here. The decor was nice and the staff were very pleasant! They have tvs for the games also so that’s a huge plus. My partner and I both ordered burgers and they were some of THE best burgers we’ve had and I’ve been around. There was a mix up with my order and I received a single instead of the double but when I brought it up they offered me the extra patty for free and profusely apologized, something I’m not used to honestly so I definitely recommend people to try them out, you won’t regret. Exceptional food and service :)

We had a real nice lunch there and were happy that we listened to the guy just in front of the door. First we were not sure if we should get in, but afterwards we are sure that we were very lucky! The food was perfect, the waitress was really nice and attentively and so it was a perfect place to be.

Great atmosphere. Music not loud. We sat at bar during early afternoon. Cheese sticks were hand battered and delicious. Onion rings and club were great. Wait staff were attentive.

Just finished my fireball burger and it was soooooo good! My friend's steak was bomb!! Food was out pretty quick. Generous portions. Service is great. They turned on their hot chocolate machine just to make us some hot chocolate :)

We come to Murray's a few times a month for lunch. The food is ALWAYS outstanding and our server (Sparks) is always welcoming, cheerful, outgoing and a bit sassy 😀! This is a great place to come eat and enjoy the atmosphere.

We loved this place... I always ask for my ice tea with lots of lemon ... this is the first time I haven't had to ask for refills or more lemon !!! Awesome service!! And the food was fantastic!!! Prices are great... highly recommend!!!!

I know it's a saloon, but after reading the reviews and looking at the pictures, I decided to take the family. It was delicious. All the kids liked it. They even devoured the cheese sticks, and I had to order another one. And they were huge. The hamburgers were juicy. The kids felt out of place at first, but as soon as the food arrived, all their worries left. I'm glad they are family-friendly.

Food was great! Service was exceptional! And there was karaoke on Wednesday afternoon.

Folks, please and please read my review. I took my family out to big bear just for ordinary Sunday fam outing. It was around 3pm, the this bar looked very local and reminded old pub back in my hometown. I went in by myself to kindly ask if it is okay to dine with a service dog and my 27 months old baby. Waitress told us it is okay and we were happy to spend our time in this pub. After paying my bill and when we were about to leave, there was a hispanic family spending their fun family day next to us. He kindly came over and asked if it is okay to pet my dog. I said yes and it was all good. Suddenly, the owner yelled at us and we cannot let people to pet dog. He was saying f word, called my wife a b word and also confronted with the hispanic family. He asked them to get the f out. People were telling this owner to calm down and told him there is a baby. He said he does not give a f. Both families got kicked out. He was shouting he can do whatever he wants because he is the owner. I was very shocked to watch my wife being called b word, yelling f ward in front of my baby and yelling at the other family. I rarely write reviews. I just dont want other people and visitors to experience what we experienced.

Oh YEAH!!! Our favorite place in Big Bear. The food is EXCELLENT. Even though the place is usually super crowded on Friday- Sunday, the servers/bartenders somehow manage to be attentive. The karaoke is a big part of this bar. I actually preferred the old karaoke host..cowboy Russ, but the new girl has gotten better since last time we were there, so that's good...and honestly...that's just being picky. The place is a blast. So much fun with people singing, and eating and drinking. Lots of regulars there. We see a core of all the same locals every time we visit. We love this bar.

My sister raved about this spot in Big Bear, so we had to try it -- and it didn't disappoint! It's a cute local dive bar with a super down-to-earth vibe. Great service. There's karaoke too. The food was delicious, portions were huge, and prices were super reasonable. Everything was so good we came back the next day for lunch again! I still think about this spot every once in a while -- such a gem.

Came in here after a long day of snowboarding and was greeted by Antonio. His service was above and beyond. Always had a great beer and hot food. You guys know how much I hate lukewarm food if you follow me. He delivered and satisfied the hungry palate. We went with the wings and the jalapeño poppers. I may add a tequila and beer. If you're ever in town for a good snowboarding trip ask for Antonio! Beer up for an awesome run! Thanks Antonio!

I am not sure why I never reviewed this place before. It's one of the best option in Big Bear if you are into a very friendly "divey" atmosphere saloon serving excellent bar food, offering a great on tap selection and heavy pours shots! The staff is super friendly and fun. The food comes in very large portions. Everything is cooked to order (you will wait a bit to get your dish) from fresh ingredients. A burger will feed two 10 years old kids easily. I personally love their jalapeno poppers. I don't know how they prepare them but those are the best I ever had. The sliders (more like the size of a regular fast-food burger) are delish and a huge plus for the club sandwich. The steaks are incredible, perfectly seasoned and melting in your mouth. They also host crazy karaoke night, packed with friendly locals and a raging ambiance! Highly recommended. PS: To all reviewers complaining about slow service: they Can't go faster than the kitchen. There is a warning sign on the left side of the bar that service can be slow!

I love this place. If you're in to dive bars, it's a don't miss. If I have any criticism, the beer and glasses NEED to be better chilled. The food is really good, and the portions are well sized.

This place is a dive bar, and has all the energy and loud music to go along with it. Some people comment on the slow service but we didn't have any issues. There were two ladies on the floor who were handling the bar, taking orders, delivering orders, and bussing tables. I was actually quite impressed with their efficiency. Food was decent for the price. We ordered the fried mushrooms and pastrami sandwich with onion rings; that was plenty to feed two people. Definitely tasted straight out the fryer, and not too salty surprisingly. Both fried items were accompanied by complimentary sauces as well. Overall, decent American fare. Dog friendly inside and out. Of note: credit card usage adds a 4% fee to your bill. There is an ATM inside the restaurant.

Went with friends to view the Big Bear Eagle's nest. Spectacular by the way. Stop here for what my friend said was great food. I got the Battered Shrimp basket with Frionons. Others order the pastrami sandwich, which was excellent & very lean. Another order was the fish and salad. Sparkle took her order and she had a great sense of humor. I love eating in town favorites, and this bar was very quaint. During summer, they have a large patio in the back and karaoke four days a week.

What a great place to get away from the tourist traps down the street! This place has the look and feel of a local bar, but with exceptional food. Portions are healthy and drinks are strong. Service is fast and friendly.

Pretty good services, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Drinks were good and good bar food. Good for watching the game and hanging out. Not great for kids, lots of bar chairs, and some table, but this would not be my first choice for kids. Dragon egg approves.

We love it here. We come Saturday nights when we are in bigbear. Last night we came after 8 ajd they had stopped serving food. We came back today Sunday at 5:30 ajd the place was packed. Their ribeye is fantastic every time so is their wings with buffalo sauce. My daughter loves their chicken strips. If you are in bigbear, you got to give them a try.

Loved this place! The servers were so attentive and even brought us a free app. I ordered a plain well drink and it was one of the best I have been served in a long time and Mom ordered a Guinness (poured perfectly)! The BLT was LOADED with bacon and huge. Dad ordered a turkey burger and he said it was the best 'hamburger' he had in months! Felt so authentic and local hangout.

I randomly dropped in on a Saturday right when they opened. I wasn't expecting much but I was presently surprised at how good the food was even though it's divy. I ordered the wings and let me tell you, these were probably some of the best wings I've ever had. Dressed with buffalo sauce but they were still crispy! The bartenders were also great! Stop by if you are in the area!

We were dying for burgers and man did they deliver! Onion rings were crispy with delicious dipping sauce ... but the burgers and drinks took the cake! Ashley was our hostess and bartender. She was phenomenal! Great service and excellent communication. Thank you

We just stopped in for a couple of bloody Mary's and a snack and found ourselves in a lovely small town environment, nestled in the tourist ridden big Bear Lake village area. The laid-back atmosphere was great and the servers were excellent! Can't wait to return for my next round!!

As a visitor to Big Bear, I love this place. They treat everyone like family and have true abundant pours of alcohol for great prices. The food is actually very good also. It's mostly local to go here and that's because they know that this is the best place in the village.

I used to really like this place. It was my "go to" restaurant/bar in Big Bear. Cowboy Russ really set the mood during Karaoke. The food is consistently good with large portions. What's changed you ask? The servers and bartenders are not what they used to have. The owner seems to just sit on his ass at the end of the bar and seems more interested in chatting with the servers than making sure his customers are being taken care of. He rarely seems to lift a finger even when the bar is slammed. Here's a tip. Walk around, greet customers, clear a dirty plate, ask customers if you can get them anything else AND NEVER EVER drink at your bar! Cowboy Russ left or was let go so they hire another "Cowboy Russ Look-a-like" that is half as good. Will I still go there? Probably not. They have also significantly raised their prices. Anyway, it used to be a really good place.

Great atmosphere loved the karaoke night food was amazing and the staff were great, has that home town local feel.

The food is amazing. It's all made to order so it's not fast, but it's worth the wait. It's a small place so once karaoke starts it can be hard to get a seat.

PLEASE READ! This was single handed the worst experience ever. The owner of this place (who proudly said his name was Mike btw) was drunk and awful at his own place of business. What he did was completely unacceptable. My boyfriend asked to pet a service dog of a family who was a husband , wife, and little baby. They kindly said yes. The owner started to yell at them saying you cannot do that and to not ever pet a service animal in a very disrespectful manner. The wife trying to deflect explained it was ok, he then said "stfu b***!" I stepped in and told him to not speak to her that way. He said "this is my f*ucking bar I could do what I want and as a matter of fact get the same fuxk out of here!" A waitress stepped in and told him hey there's a baby you need to calm down. He said he didn't give a F and continued to curse at us. He was aggressive and horrible. I wish I had gotten a better picture of him. I don't normally post reviews but I truly hope he wakes up with some remorse how he treated guests.

Super friendly staff, humongous portions and great food. We ordered the fried mushrooms (which were a whole meal in themselves,) a turkey sando and a pastrami sando. The fries were nice and crispy. And although it isn't on the menu, you can get a large salad for 6$. Nice selection of beers on tap. Seems like mostly locals here. I'd recommend this place. Bring your appetite!!

If you don't like dive bars, this isn't the place for you. We love dive bars so we were excited to find this one. Burgers were huge, food came out quickly and even though the staff was extremely busy, they were very friendly and prompt with their service. They offer a $4 draft mystery beer and we got a light beer that was easily worth the cheap price. This was a fun bar, lively and lots of friendly people with a few TVs around to catch a game, quick bite and drink!

We have a cabin in Running Springs and decided to spend the day in Big Bear. We wanted to try somewhere we had never been before and this place was recommended to us. Wow!! Did not disappoint! Local bar vibe on lock! Had the Russel Burger with onion rings. It was so good. One of the best burgers I've had. Now that we've found this place, not sure we will go anywhere else any time we're up here and wanting a burger!!

I have never experienced what we went through yesterday. Please read the reviews, the other party that was that was involved just wrote another review on how horrible the owner treated us! Everything honestly happened so fast and just escalated to 100 real quick. There was another family with a service dog and there child. Our friend was talking to them and asked to pet there service dog. Out of nowhere a man that later identified himself as Mike the owner jumped out of his seat to call the others family's wife a bitch! And tell us how we are f$%Ken stupid. I couldn't believe how angry he was. He stunned us all and the other poor family kept trying to calm him down bit he wasn't having it. He said he is the owner and all of us needed to pay our tab and get the f$%k out. Another party tried to calm him down and the waitress even apologized to us because they couldn't understand why this was going on. I'm firm believer it's all the way you say things, he could of asked both parties nicely but I hate to even bring up the race card. But the other family was Asian and we are Hispanics and I just felt he had a problem with us since the beginning so this just fueled him to act this way. Never again!

It's bar food, so it tastes fine, don't expect to be treated with any sort of grace here, but like i said it's a bar so it's forgiven. The locals make this spot bearable as one myself they are the charm of the town of course. If you're a person of color of queer i'd recommend skipping this spot unless you like rude comments and weird stares. If you're an alcoholic and like grease this is the spot

Got a grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings the place was pretty packed. Service was awesome got food within 5 minutes after we ordered. Great atmosphere. Great drinks and beer

First time here. Very loud. Staff are nice and friendly. Service was surprisingly fast for how crowded it was. Chicken nachos are yummy and portion is large enough for 2 to 3 people. Beer selection in small.

We use to look forward to going to Murray's on our Big Bear trips. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. While Murray's is very busy and the lineup is long the jack wagon they have hired as a KJ is pay to play. Prepare to see the same singers multiple times before you get up unless you are prepared to outbid them. What a joke!

We spent a week in BBL, and ended up going to Murray's 3 times over the course of the week. Why? Because it's the funnest place in Big Bear. Also, we had a spicy chicken sandwich and a burger, both very good. Although it can get crowded, the service was always very good.

There is a reason this place is so packed! Cocktails are great and a great price point...but the real entertainment is seeing people attempt karaoke after the drinks set in. Food is served in big portions and shareable size. Parking is really limited but walking to the parking lot is not bad. Very slow streets. Bathrooms are very clean.

We love Murry's. One of the great part of Murry's is Nicole. She takes ur order gets it right everytime. Checks back to see if u need another drink. Always sweet and friendly. She is an amazing server. Plus makes u smile when u see her. She is always welcoming. Love Johnny and Russ. They're always very friendly and sweet. When we come to our vk home up here can't wait to go to Murry's. Great food great Karoke great people that work there. Absolutely best place on mountain. Ty for hiring such great people Murrys.

We had the Russell Burger and it was the best burger I've ever had.. could only eat half of it because it was so big!! The service was good and the atmosphere is cool.. Great bar and grill.. I would highly recommend it for American food..

I have to say, the food that comes out of that kitchen is wonderful. I would definitely eat there again. Only 21 and above is allowed there. Definitely a local eatery.

Massive, delicious, and cheap wings and rings! More staff was also friendly very efficient. I've of the bar staff de-escalated some drunken friends that were getting a little over the top in the best possible way, getting them to voluntarily leave. Worth the drive, even from Arrowhead!

Very rude bartender kicked me out but there was another child in there. She said they don't allow anyone under 21 but yet there was another child inside.

Fun music fun people. Food was awesome plus Great service and atmosphere. Had a blast. We will be back.

I am reluctant to promote this place because I won't be able to squeeze in! Big portions of fairly priced dee-lishus meals! I seek healthier choices, and Murray's has that slso! My favorite is the grilled salmon salad. The salmon is tender and an array of veggies topped with bleu cheese crumbles. I recommend with the house made raspberry vinaigrette (I also add balsamic vinegar and tapatio ) In cooler weather, the grilled salmon with sautéed veggies is absolutely delish as well.

Murray's has the best fish and chips on the mountain! They even had a special today: ultimate tuna sandwich. The staff there are always on top of things!

Love, love, love this place!! When on the mountain and not trying to deal with the hustle bustle of the main strip. I always make a little trip over to MURRAYS saloon to get some good quality food and an even better price. I honestly love everything about this place. Small bar with a kid, friendly atmosphere and even better food. This place has a killer ribeye steak and the price is even better. My son opted for the fish and chips and he said they were great too with the homemade tartar sauce, we also tried the fish tacos and wifee liked those also . Before meals we tried two different appetizers one of them was the fried zucchini which you can tell is made fresh not frozen and the other one is the fried mushrooms same deal made fresh not frozen and also delicious with some homemade ranch. I don't even wanna leave a good review for this place because that means people will start going there and probably give up the best kept secret in town, as many of you know big bear is not the greatest location for food. MURRAYS always delivers quality food and a great price with great service and you can even play some tunes on the jukebox while you're sitting in there eating which I completely love. Do yourself a favor check the spot out because I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

I try and come here every year I get to Big Bear because it's a really fun place with excellent food. Sharri and Ashley took really good care of us. The service was wonderful. Fun decor and they have great karaoke nights. Their food is all homemade and very tasty. Some of the best wings I've had.

It's 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. We walked in with six kids and six adults. Other kids were inside Murray's. No issues with them. Yet we get kicked out by a rude bar tender? We've been to Murray's 100 times. But seriously guys? Do better. Just because we have tweens with us? F off.

We had really tender grill prime rib steaks with lots of grilled vegetables, mashed potatoes and two pieces are cheese breads. Prime ribs steaks are 16 oz. That's a lot of food for one person. We ordered two plates for three people are we are very stuffed. This saloon have great food. We are not drinkers. It also has karaoke. Our waitress was very friendly and she sang couple of songs. People here are locals . Some wear sports clothes and several people came and wear cow boy hats. We love the vibes and it is a place to be when you are here in Big Bear.

Definitely Coming Back! We got lucky and stumbled upon this place for lunch. The staff was super friendly and, although they may have been a bit understaffed for the crowd that rolled in, they handled it like pros. All of us went with the special: tri-tip. It was really good, tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The hand-cut fries were delicious, and the onion rings were spot-on too. We also ordered drinks, and each one was made just right. You can really tell there's care put into everything they serve. On top of all that, the prices were more very reasonable. It's hard to beat this place when it comes to great food, solid drinks, and real value. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

Nope! Not coming back. I have never experienced such awful customer service. We walked in, got stared down right away. Handed menus, were sat semi prominently. After that it just got worse. Not one of the two bartender/servers came to take our order. After 25min. Or so of waiting for someone to take our order, I decided to walk up to the bar to place it. Nope, that didn't work either. The blonde waitress, when not eating the her food, was busy with her friends and family at the bar to even notice me standing there waiting to place an order. The other server, Sparks, was too busy on her phone to even give me a minute to ask for a beer. Others have said this place favors regulars and not visitors. Unfortunately, I have to agree. I can't say I have ever felt so disrespected at a bar before. Especially here in Big Bear, I haven't felt so marginalized before. We have a service animal with us. Before we got sat, we made sure it was ok to bring him in. We were told yes. But no further instructions were given. He was in his holster, yet we were told he needed to be on the floor on a leash. I have no issue abiding to those instructions, BUT you tell me this after almost 45min. If waiting around to take my order. Gave the place the benefit of the doubt up to that point. Don't bother going if you aren't a local or not white, as that seemed to be the only way to get serviced. Btw, the place wasn't packed at all to justify the lack of service.

Dog friendly inside and out? Need I write more? Good service. THE biggest BLT I've ever had in my life. Stacked high with crispy bacon. We'll certainly be back.
