We had a real nice lunch there and were happy that we listened to the guy just in front of the door. First we were not sure if we should get in, but afterwards we are sure that we were very lucky! The food was perfect, the waitress was really nice and attentively and so it was a perfect place to be.

Great atmosphere. Music not loud. We sat at bar during early afternoon. Cheese sticks were hand battered and delicious. Onion rings and club were great. Wait staff were attentive.

Very nice small bar with karaoke. Great vibe and drink prices are good. Didn't have a chance to try th food. Bartender Russ (I think that was his name) was great! Really made our night fun and kept our drinks refilled. My husband did Karaoke and it was fun. We would return.

We come to Murray's a few times a month for lunch. The food is ALWAYS outstanding and our server (Sparks) is always welcoming, cheerful, outgoing and a bit sassy 😀! This is a great place to come eat and enjoy the atmosphere.

This joint is a gem. Servers are witty and fast. Locals were plentiful and charming. The burger was increible - seriously the best burger I’ve had in years. Juicy thick patty with all the fixins. Will come back again soon!

Five stars by far. Best food in big bear. Locals love it. Tourists love it. Mike the owner will buy you a beer once in a while. The ribeye plate is worth every penny. Huge perfectly aged and grilled steak. It’s amazing. I’ll post before and after pics. Karaoke all the time. Come by! Feels like one of those bars & restaurants that never changes and you’ve been there many times even if it’s your first time.

Murray's is my favorite place in town, hands down. Been back multiple times. The food is shockingly good, the staff are impeccable, and the crowd is always a delight. This is legitimately a home run local bar, with everything.

Went with friends to view the Big Bear Eagle's nest. Spectacular by the way. Stop here for what my friend said was great food. I got the Battered Shrimp basket with Frionons. Others order the pastrami sandwich, which was excellent & very lean. Another order was the fish and salad. Sparkle took her order and she had a great sense of humor. I love eating in town favorites, and this bar was very quaint. During summer, they have a large patio in the back and karaoke four days a week.

We love it here. We come Saturday nights when we are in bigbear. Last night we came after 8 ajd they had stopped serving food. We came back today Sunday at 5:30 ajd the place was packed. Their ribeye is fantastic every time so is their wings with buffalo sauce. My daughter loves their chicken strips. If you are in bigbear, you got to give them a try.

This is my favorite bar in Bear! I have been going here for about 8 years now. Today I came back for the first time in a year and the vibes, food, and service are still amazing! The staff is super friendly, everyone that comes to this place is always looking for a good time with great food and drinks. This food is amazing and calling it bar food does not do it justice, the burgers, the hand cut steak, you can't go wrong. The only thing is I wish they would bring the pool table back! The prices are super reasonable and affordable! This will always be my favorite spot and I can't wait to go back!

I used to really like this place. It was my "go to" restaurant/bar in Big Bear. Cowboy Russ really set the mood during Karaoke. The food is consistently good with large portions. What's changed you ask? The servers and bartenders are not what they used to have. The owner seems to just sit on his ass at the end of the bar and seems more interested in chatting with the servers than making sure his customers are being taken care of. He rarely seems to lift a finger even when the bar is slammed. Here's a tip. Walk around, greet customers, clear a dirty plate, ask customers if you can get them anything else AND NEVER EVER drink at your bar! Cowboy Russ left or was let go so they hire another "Cowboy Russ Look-a-like" that is half as good. Will I still go there? Probably not. They have also significantly raised their prices. Anyway, it used to be a really good place.

Came in here after a long day of snowboarding and was greeted by Antonio. His service was above and beyond. Always had a great beer and hot food. You guys know how much I hate lukewarm food if you follow me. He delivered and satisfied the hungry palate. We went with the wings and the jalapeño poppers. I may add a tequila and beer. If you're ever in town for a good snowboarding trip ask for Antonio! Beer up for an awesome run! Thanks Antonio!

I am not sure why I never reviewed this place before. It's one of the best option in Big Bear if you are into a very friendly "divey" atmosphere saloon serving excellent bar food, offering a great on tap selection and heavy pours shots! The staff is super friendly and fun. The food comes in very large portions. Everything is cooked to order (you will wait a bit to get your dish) from fresh ingredients. A burger will feed two 10 years old kids easily. I personally love their jalapeno poppers. I don't know how they prepare them but those are the best I ever had. The sliders (more like the size of a regular fast-food burger) are delish and a huge plus for the club sandwich. The steaks are incredible, perfectly seasoned and melting in your mouth. They also host crazy karaoke night, packed with friendly locals and a raging ambiance! Highly recommended. PS: To all reviewers complaining about slow service: they Can't go faster than the kitchen. There is a warning sign on the left side of the bar that service can be slow!

This place is a dive bar, and has all the energy and loud music to go along with it. Some people comment on the slow service but we didn't have any issues. There were two ladies on the floor who were handling the bar, taking orders, delivering orders, and bussing tables. I was actually quite impressed with their efficiency. Food was decent for the price. We ordered the fried mushrooms and pastrami sandwich with onion rings; that was plenty to feed two people. Definitely tasted straight out the fryer, and not too salty surprisingly. Both fried items were accompanied by complimentary sauces as well. Overall, decent American fare. Dog friendly inside and out. Of note: credit card usage adds a 4% fee to your bill. There is an ATM inside the restaurant.

Pretty good services, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Drinks were good and good bar food. Good for watching the game and hanging out. Not great for kids, lots of bar chairs, and some table, but this would not be my first choice for kids. Dragon egg approves.

If you don't like dive bars, this isn't the place for you. We love dive bars so we were excited to find this one. Burgers were huge, food came out quickly and even though the staff was extremely busy, they were very friendly and prompt with their service. They offer a $4 draft mystery beer and we got a light beer that was easily worth the cheap price. This was a fun bar, lively and lots of friendly people with a few TVs around to catch a game, quick bite and drink!

If you're in the area and looking for the best hole in the wall/ locals bar come to Murray's! Food is really good, it's always lively and they do karaoke a lot of nights. Good people at Murray's!

Best in big bear. $26 for 16oz ribeye. Big plates enough for the day. Will be back for sure.

I randomly dropped in on a Saturday right when they opened. I wasn't expecting much but I was presently surprised at how good the food was even though it's divy. I ordered the wings and let me tell you, these were probably some of the best wings I've ever had. Dressed with buffalo sauce but they were still crispy! The bartenders were also great! Stop by if you are in the area!

We just stopped in for a couple of bloody Mary's and a snack and found ourselves in a lovely small town environment, nestled in the tourist ridden big Bear Lake village area. The laid-back atmosphere was great and the servers were excellent! Can't wait to return for my next round!!

Murray's was my caterer for my wedding last weekend. They did a great job! The food was set up and delicious. I wish I had pictures, it really made my backyard wedding more upscale.

Murray's has the best fish and chips on the mountain! They even had a special today: ultimate tuna sandwich. The staff there are always on top of things!

Super friendly staff, humongous portions and great food. We ordered the fried mushrooms (which were a whole meal in themselves,) a turkey sando and a pastrami sando. The fries were nice and crispy. And although it isn't on the menu, you can get a large salad for 6$. Nice selection of beers on tap. Seems like mostly locals here. I'd recommend this place. Bring your appetite!!

We have a cabin in Running Springs and decided to spend the day in Big Bear. We wanted to try somewhere we had never been before and this place was recommended to us. Wow!! Did not disappoint! Local bar vibe on lock! Had the Russel Burger with onion rings. It was so good. One of the best burgers I've had. Now that we've found this place, not sure we will go anywhere else any time we're up here and wanting a burger!!

We were there to celebrate a birthday and had a blast! Right from the beginning we were met at the door with a friendly doorman who was helpful and found us seats. The staff were very friendly, funny and cool! The drinks were good and the environment was great! I highly recommend!

First time here. Very loud. Staff are nice and friendly. Service was surprisingly fast for how crowded it was. Chicken nachos are yummy and portion is large enough for 2 to 3 people. Beer selection in small.

Massive, delicious, and cheap wings and rings! More staff was also friendly very efficient. I've of the bar staff de-escalated some drunken friends that were getting a little over the top in the best possible way, getting them to voluntarily leave. Worth the drive, even from Arrowhead!

There is a reason this place is so packed! Cocktails are great and a great price point...but the real entertainment is seeing people attempt karaoke after the drinks set in. Food is served in big portions and shareable size. Parking is really limited but walking to the parking lot is not bad. Very slow streets. Bathrooms are very clean.

Very rude bartender kicked me out but there was another child in there. She said they don't allow anyone under 21 but yet there was another child inside.

Went here because it's near our cabin, didn't expect much. The food was mid but they had karaoke night happening which made our night.

It's 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. We walked in with six kids and six adults. Other kids were inside Murray's. No issues with them. Yet we get kicked out by a rude bar tender? We've been to Murray's 100 times. But seriously guys? Do better. Just because we have tweens with us? F off.

Love, love, love this place!! When on the mountain and not trying to deal with the hustle bustle of the main strip. I always make a little trip over to MURRAYS saloon to get some good quality food and an even better price. I honestly love everything about this place. Small bar with a kid, friendly atmosphere and even better food. This place has a killer ribeye steak and the price is even better. My son opted for the fish and chips and he said they were great too with the homemade tartar sauce, we also tried the fish tacos and wifee liked those also . Before meals we tried two different appetizers one of them was the fried zucchini which you can tell is made fresh not frozen and the other one is the fried mushrooms same deal made fresh not frozen and also delicious with some homemade ranch. I don't even wanna leave a good review for this place because that means people will start going there and probably give up the best kept secret in town, as many of you know big bear is not the greatest location for food. MURRAYS always delivers quality food and a great price with great service and you can even play some tunes on the jukebox while you're sitting in there eating which I completely love. Do yourself a favor check the spot out because I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

I try and come here every year I get to Big Bear because it's a really fun place with excellent food. Sharri and Ashley took really good care of us. The service was wonderful. Fun decor and they have great karaoke nights. Their food is all homemade and very tasty. Some of the best wings I've had.

I am reluctant to promote this place because I won't be able to squeeze in! Big portions of fairly priced dee-lishus meals! I seek healthier choices, and Murray's has that slso! My favorite is the grilled salmon salad. The salmon is tender and an array of veggies topped with bleu cheese crumbles. I recommend with the house made raspberry vinaigrette (I also add balsamic vinegar and tapatio ) In cooler weather, the grilled salmon with sautéed veggies is absolutely delish as well.

Very racist, poor quality costumer service and unwillingness to help to solve problems. Rather kick out costumer without any decent explanation or professionalism. Threatens to call sheriff.

We had really tender grill prime rib steaks with lots of grilled vegetables, mashed potatoes and two pieces are cheese breads. Prime ribs steaks are 16 oz. That's a lot of food for one person. We ordered two plates for three people are we are very stuffed. This saloon have great food. We are not drinkers. It also has karaoke. Our waitress was very friendly and she sang couple of songs. People here are locals . Some wear sports clothes and several people came and wear cow boy hats. We love the vibes and it is a place to be when you are here in Big Bear.

Nope! Not coming back. I have never experienced such awful customer service. We walked in, got stared down right away. Handed menus, were sat semi prominently. After that it just got worse. Not one of the two bartender/servers came to take our order. After 25min. Or so of waiting for someone to take our order, I decided to walk up to the bar to place it. Nope, that didn't work either. The blonde waitress, when not eating the her food, was busy with her friends and family at the bar to even notice me standing there waiting to place an order. The other server, Sparks, was too busy on her phone to even give me a minute to ask for a beer. Others have said this place favors regulars and not visitors. Unfortunately, I have to agree. I can't say I have ever felt so disrespected at a bar before. Especially here in Big Bear, I haven't felt so marginalized before. We have a service animal with us. Before we got sat, we made sure it was ok to bring him in. We were told yes. But no further instructions were given. He was in his holster, yet we were told he needed to be on the floor on a leash. I have no issue abiding to those instructions, BUT you tell me this after almost 45min. If waiting around to take my order. Gave the place the benefit of the doubt up to that point. Don't bother going if you aren't a local or not white, as that seemed to be the only way to get serviced. Btw, the place wasn't packed at all to justify the lack of service.

Dog friendly inside and out? Need I write more? Good service. THE biggest BLT I've ever had in my life. Stacked high with crispy bacon. We'll certainly be back.

This place was recommended to us from a couple people. We enjoyed it so much we came both days we were in Big Bear. First day was drinks only and the pours are pretty good. There was karaoke which was pretty fun to watch. The second day we went to eat since the food was highly recommended. I got the ahi tuna and veggies and my husband got the BLT. They were both delicious and the portion size was huge. We only got through 1/2 our meal and took the rest to back to the hotel. The service was ok, except the waitress seemed a little angry we changed tables (at the time it wasn't busy). That was a little frustrating. The rest of the time was fine except it got pretty busy and getting our check took awhile. But all in all, we will definitely go back.

After a disappointing night, where I left a less than stellar review, we came back the next night and had a blast. I do have to say they lost a good karaoke host when they lost cowboy Russ...the new asks are kinda weak....but we still had a great time drinking, laughing, eating and singing.

Everything that came out of that kitchen made me extra hungry! The drinks were great and the meal was fantastic!!!!! Super cool little bar w a huge seating area outside back!!! Will definitely come back!!!!

What an exceptional find in Big Bear! The food is fresh and delicious. These carb cakes were crazy good, full of crab, not breading. And the fried zucchini is crispy, not soggy, and so good! But the best thing about this place is probably the service, absolutely wonderful!! Just lovely, friendly, super people.

Wife and I stopped in on a Wednesday night after trying out the bar right around the corner. Just as soon as we walked in we knew we had found our spot. We were greeted warmly from a bearded fellow and later chatted with his female coworker (from Hesperia) both of whom were awesome. Music was great, beers were many and ice cold, strong margarita and a great blt with onion rings. The adult crowd was all smiles and no drama. I would wholeheartedly recommend Murray's Saloon to get your food and beverages on! I really appreciate their enthusiasm and experience. Don't change a thing!

Beware Murray's Saloon portions are big. Service was slow for lunch time during a weekday. Friendly staff, full bar Ordered the fireball burger and couldn't finish up. Really good burger and spicy.

I have been eating here for years. One of the best burgers in town. Local bar with local flavor.

Just left. Had $16 AhiTuna w grilled peppers n onions w hands down best $11 Calamari steak sticks. Wife had $13 Pastrami (in house cured) n $16 stuffed bacon n shrimp. Have 4 more meals for take home. Six meals here. Top quality. Locals hang out. Our 26th year. Been current owner (Mike a caterer) for last 15yrs. Come for the food stay for the Karaoke and drinks.

This is one of our favorite spots to go out to eat in Big Bear. Everything on the menu has been delicious. Love their fireball sauce!! Amazing on chicken wings and hamburgers, it is quite spicy bit worth it! Their fish & chips and ahi tuna are delicious as well. Though the shining star for our family is the fish tacos. Like I said everything is delicious, you can't go wrong.

We went to Murray's yesterday for lunch and it was absolutely delicious!!! I had a burger and it was flavorful and juicy and cooked perfectly! Yum! My hubby had the beef dip and it was wonderful and tender and the dipping sauce was great! I definitely recommend! Best burger in town! We will be back very soon!

Well, wish I could say we had a great experience at Murrays. Food looked great, was recommended this place by many friends and locals. Never got a chance to order, took 20 minutes to get anyones attention, was yelled at for asking what beers they have. Bartender acted like it was a huge problem just to help us. I got a draft and my wife got a whisky drink. Asked for lunch menu's and again was treated with such disrespect. The pale female bartender then began being overly aggresive towards my wife for no reason, cursing and yelling. With my wife being upset we decided to get lunch elsewhere. Manager needs to get thier employees in check, no reason for being so rude. It's not a good look. Will not be returning.

Often visited, had beverages, always loved the vibe! But we always wind up somewhere else for dinner. Not this time! My wife had salmon, I had steak. Mine was awesome, BIG steak cooked perfectly! But the salmon was the best out of the two, imo. And the limited wait staff are incredibly fast and attentive. We have a small place in the Big Bear, so we eat downtown all the time. Murray's is a top of the list locale! The great reviews are spot on, and a must-try!!
