Smaller place. More casual, pay up front, and good service. Portion sizes are solid, sushi was fresh, and chicken and veggie skewers and grilled fish were very good. Service was good. Worth the price

#1 sushi place if you ask me!!!! NEW sushi place in town!!!! So good! We tried BLT, Spicy Salmon, Shrimp Tempura and Cheese all rolls and very fresh and good. We were also lucky to try the soup along with an off menu item that was very flavorful. Neal and Jasmine were the staff on tonight. We definitely over ate because it was so good!! And don't want to forget the carafe of green tea available. We will be back! This is the BEST sushi place in my neighborhood!! Nothing like a sushi night!!!

Sushi was super yummy! My fav was the spicy seared salmon, it quite literally melts in your mouth and it’s super delicious! I decided to dine in, I went at 7pm on a Thursday and it was not busy. Staff were very nice and attentive! Definitely going to return especially for that spicy seared salmon!

They serve their food in a very clean and neat manner. The food is fresh, and even the restroom is spotless. I’ve seen them washing their kitchen towels multiple times whenever they have a moment, ensuring everything stays clean. Among all the sushi rolls I’ve had, this place uses the freshest ingredients, and their preparation process is the most hygienic I’ve seen. For reference, I worked as a sushi chef for about eight years, so I can confidently say this place maintains high standards. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. This is not an all-you-can-eat restaurant; it is à la carte. The reason I’m taking the time to write this review is that I truly want this place to stay in business. The food is excellent, but it hasn’t been widely discovered yet, so it’s not as busy as it should be, which concerns me. Some restaurants may serve good food, but as a former chef, I can easily spot their lack of hygiene. This place, however, is both delicious and impeccably clean. I highly recommend this restaurant!

New hidden gem that just opened. Food was delicious & fresh. We were very impressed. Pricing was also very fair as well. Been to alot of sushi places, and can tell you this a hit. No frills, good food & conversation is all you need for an awesome evening. The chef & staff was very friendly as well. Will definitely come back with friends & family. I love this place so much, it’s so chill. I order my food and can help myself to tea or water (I always get the tea ☕️). The owners are so lovely and make my experience very enjoyable. This is a small mom and pop sushi restaurant and I think most of their business comes from to go orders. There are a few tables inside but they are small 2 or 4 seaters. That said, I came in a party of 6 on a Friday night and they were able to accommodate us by pushing 2 tables together. There were only 2 people working. One lady who took orders and one man making them. They call you to pick up your order from the counter, so it's not full service, but the lady was very nice and helpful. We really like seared salmon nigiri and love that they have that here. On top of that, the sushi is very affordable, and tasted fresh. Our usual sushi spot in the area closed down so looking forward to coming back here more often!

My friend and I called in and ordered food for pick up around dinner time. The process was really easy. We called in and placed our order as we Had the menu open on our phone. The lady said it would be a 15-20 minute wait. I went to pick up our order in 15 minutes and the food was ready. Picked up and paid for the food was really fast. When we got to my friend's place to eat our dinner, everything looked so good. The price of the dinner sushi nigiri was reasonable for the amount of food we got. Although the fish to rice ratio wasn't really to my liking. It was a lot of rice to the fish. My negative is I also ordered edamame. I could tell the taste was off. It was seemed over cook. Either it was overcooked or it was made earlier on in the day (morning/lunch) and I was just given pre made edamame rather than a fresh batch ‍ Can't really comment on the place since we didn't eat there, but it looks clean. There are a lot of seating.

Musashi is a great little hole in the wall Sushi spot. My niece came out to Visit and wanted sushi so I found this spot. I was skeptical since the restaurant was empty... but after our meal I was surprised it was not more packed. The restaurant is small, it a lot of seating but is great for date nights or small groups: they have tv's playing sports or music and they have a nice cherry blossom theme with lights and it was nice. The service was great I know where were the only ones there but they made sure we were tended to. They also have hot tea and water available for you and I did not notice till after which made me sad lol Next time I'll get some for sure. My niece got the beef rice bowl, with a California roll without the shrimp since she is allergic to. I got the dragon roll, the musashis roll, seaweed salad and the crispy onigiri. I really enjoyed every especially the.crispy onigiri!! Both my rolles were very delicious and freshly my niece really enjoyed her beef bowl and we were both very Satisfied. They do have a fairly limited menu but the food was enjoyable. I appreciated the simplicity of this restaurant and the sushi was great. One thing I would recommend is having. Pictures of the different rolls because it could be more Enticing to get other rolls based on how delicious they look. Outside of that we will be back and look forward to more!!

Food is delicious especially the teriyaki chicken bento, and onigiri. The staff always have smiling face even if they were very busy, cleaning tables. The other table spilled water and the server came to clean with a great smile on his face. They also run after us because we left my daughter's hydro flask. They only take cards. The place is very clean, it's small but you can see that a lot of people come in and out.

Tldr: the quality is on point! It's basically a great place to get my sushi fix on in Corona. No it's not AYCE. Rather than driving to Irvine or Oc, this place would be a good alternative in Corona. Don't get me wrong, they don't have an extensive menu... rather.... they're just pretty straightforward and focused on serving quality seafood. Basically, you enter and go to the counter. Order and pay.... There's around 7-8 tables. And they're open everyday with no breaks in the afternoon. The water and hot tea is also self serve. I went for the lunch set plus a few nigiris.... They were all fresh. I like how the quality is spot on... In anycase, I will be back.

Absolutely delicious. I've had omakase multiple times in japan and every tier of sushi you could imagine from here to Nippon and this place is legit. Menu is smaller and focused. Rice and Nori are excellent.

HIDDEN GEM SUSHI! Needed a quick pick-up for dinner and we've been craving high quality, no frills sushi at a reasonable price. The spicy tuna cut roll was to die for. It was so creamy, fresh and flavorful. I'm a big spicy tuna fan and nothing compares to this. The sukiyaki beef was pretty good as well as the salmon cut roll. Will definitely be back for more!

Pretty good and affordable sushi! The menu is smaller but offers the most popular sushi options. Upon entering, you walk up to the counter and grab your menus and order there and pay. Then you grab a table and wait. While you're waiting, they offer free water and hot tea and if you're lucky you can catch a good baseball game on tv- but no volume. The place is somewhat quiet but it's a nice calm feeling inside. The sushi chef is quite busy at work along with answering customers questions about the menu and charging them, so it will be a few minutes longer than other places. He's doing it all! The sushi itself is pretty good. Portion sizes are average, the taste is good, just the presentation is not as good as other places. I ordered the chicken skewers plate and it was good but I would have liked more veggies and the shrimp tempura roll was on point. Salmon roll was excellent! Hubby got a chirashi bowl and the bowl was filled to the top with rice and then a few pieces of fish. For the price - it was good but again, I would have paid more for more premium fish! Overall, the place gets the job done, and we will come back to visit again!

We got the nigiri plate, the spicy tuna roll, and the dragon roll. Everything was INCREDIBLE, especially the yellowtail, was so so smooth and buttery, and the unagi (eel) was so yummy!! They're so kind here, it's very relaxed inside, and they offer free tea! Highly recommend!

We were so excited to find a Musashi's in Southern California! Actually, by accident while trying to check the hours for Bellevue to see if I could make it from the Seattle airport to their Bellevue location in time before they close - then for some reason, the Corona location popped up and I thought it was a mistake or someone stole their name! But after checking their website, it seems they've expanded far beyond just Seattle and Bellevue, and are now in Kent WA, Tacoma WA, Oregon and now California. Such amazing news! Except now we'll be back into our cycle of frequent visits to get our sushi fix. We've soured on Southern California sushi so much because we're in Japan 4x a year and just wait until we're back there to get sushi, but now with Musashi's we have a place to get great quality, affordable sushi in between those trips! So our experience - it's amazing how our memories of a place can be triggered by taste. The moment we tried the harusame salad, all of our memories of Musashi's came back. The sushi itself was delicious - there wasn't a single piece we didn't like in either the chirashi or nigiri. The salmon instantly reminded me of the countless pieces of Musashi's salmon I had in Washington over the years. They even have toro now which was never an option before and it was delicious! The only downside, and I'm not sure how big of an issue it is assuming it's a change at all of the locations, is while the prices have gone up only slightly from even 8 years ago, the pieces are smaller, depending on the fish. I remember the salmon, Hamachi, shiro maguro, all used to be huge slices - or more specific, slabs of fish. Now most of the pieces are much smaller, although the salmon is still fairly large. Maybe this is the same for the Washington locations too? Either way, for $80 we had a chirashi, 15 pieces of sushi, two harusame salads and miso soup - with nigiri sizes bigger than most other restaurants, and quality far better than most other restaurants, with a price about 1/3-1/2 less than most other restaurants around LA County and Orange County (not in Corona/Riverside - other than Musashi's I would never try crappy/weird sushi in the Inland Empire - proper sushi is NOT covered in mayonnaise and weird sauces and tempura flakes!). So the good news is we found a local Musashi's - the bad news, at least for our wallets is we found a local Musashi's! It wasn't busy tonight at dinner, so hopefully they grow their customer base - this place is so good, people should be driving here from all over the IE and OC and even eastern LA county for their sushi - although hopefully without the big lines and long waits we had with the Seattle area locations.

This is more of a casual, fast food style of sushi stop, lacking traditional Japanese ambiance and offering decent but limited table service. Ordering is done at the cash register. Seat yourself. Each table is set up with a Thermos pot of hot tea and cups to serve yourself. Their main appeal would be for the budget-minded. More reasonable pricing, given a limited menu. By limited, I mean there is not a long comprehensive list of creative, house sushi rolls, only a few of the more ubiquitous kinds to choose from. The entire menu is one page. Good tasting miso soup. We were given a bowl upon sitting down, no charge. The rolls are made to order. I enjoyed the roll with shrimp tempura in a California Roll. The rice was still warm and lightly flavored. The tempura was crisp and fresh. 10 good sized bites for $9. This I would choose regularly. However, the unagi maki roll was disappointing. Nothing about it stood out. 6 pieces for $6. We would not reorder this. We also ordered one meal to share. This included 3 teriyaki meat skewers (one beef and two chicken) to which I added one additional beef skewer for $3 more. It came with a portion of steamed rice, grilled zucchini, and an Asian flavored salad made of thin noodle, imitation crab, mayonnaise, and sesame oil. I really liked the salad. The skewers were decent. The chicken pieces were thigh meat and more generous than the beef. Both were nicely cooked, and lightly dressed with teriyaki sauce. The food is delivered to your table and was attractively plated. While I would not rush to return, it does have a place in my meal routine when a quick, inexpensive sushi fix is needed.

I've already eaten here three times this month because it's just that good. The first time I ordered delivery and got instantly hooked - everything was so fresh and buttery. The food tastes amazing, and the service has been great every time. The chef is super kind, and I think his wife helps in the back, which makes it feel really personal. The vibe inside is super cozy and homey, like you're just hanging out at a friend's place for dinner. So happy I found this spot - it's my new go-to after a long day.

Musashi's is a small new sushi place. In my opinion the rolls are too big and not traditional enough but this was okay the turning point for me were the salmon sushi, they felt not really that fresh, they were too big with lots of rice making it hard to eat. The lack of plates on the table makes it really messy and annoying to eat. I would give just a couple points to improve: -Adding plates on the table -thinner and smaller sushi cuts -smaller rolls cured with more professionalism -keeping the sushi more fresh, it was warm which gives you the thought of not fresh even if it is!

Each piece is rather large. Every bite was perfect and delectable. It's probably the freshest nigiri I've had so far.

Loved this place...UNTIL my mom ordered the teriyaki beef bowl and beef was super chewy and hard to eat. My mom kindly expressed that she wanted to exchange it for chicken because the beef was really hard to chew. They rudely told her to go pay for another plate and "but thats what you ordered, its not our problem you dont like it" Excuse me? Last time we ever come back. We were regulars.

So I am very picky when it comes to sushi the fish here is very fresh the portions here are good and it's good affordable sushi I also don't play when it comes to my spicy mayo and the spicy mayo here is fantastic the people here are very nice and have great hospitality, will definitely be coming back in the future.

Musashi is clean and the husband wife team are sweet but they don't offer service. It's a self serve place where you have to approach the register to order. No one to check on you or bring you the necessities. They have a water and tea station. The quality of the fish is on par with McDonalds. The fish was water logged and flavorless. The spicy tuna was sweet....did they add sugar???

I had been ordering from this place on delivery service a couple times for the past couple of months and it has become my usual for sushi at home and it is a bargain for the quality and quantity of sushi I have received. Today, I actually passed by the restaurant to put in a to go order in person. It is a small place for approximately 20 people dine in. I was offered roasted corn tea while I waited. I love nigiri and my go to order usually contains either the lunch nigiri sushi plate or dinner igiri sushi plate. It is so worth it!

We came in tonight for some snack. We were the only ones there, but the waiter was kind enough to get us situated. He got us a high chair and told us to sit wherever we'd like. We looked over the menu quickly on the table and went up to the counter to get 2 rolls: Musashi roll and salmon cheese roll. The rolls were really good. The Musashi roll had crab salad and cheese inside and topped with spicy tuna, spicy mayo, masago, and green onions. The salmon cheese rolls had cheese, cucumber, and cooked salmon inside. The rolls were reminiscent of gimbab (Korean rice rolls, instead of Japanese sushi). It was still delicious, and the presentation was so pretty! The price and portion was great, it was definitely a great late night snack! You can grab your own water or hot barley tea on the counter as well. The place is well kept and the waiter that helped us was friendly. The ambiance is very casual and very relaxing, perfect to enjoy some good rolls.

We were really happy with Musashi's! We haven't had much luck finding local sushi places so we were nervous this would be like the rest but we really enjoyed our meal! This is a casual, no frills place but the fish was fresh and the rolls were classic, not drowning in sauces. We had the sushi dinner and shared a bunch of rolls. One note is their California roll is their own take (has egg) - I thought it was fine but it wasn't the taste for my husband and kid. We also did takeout for my other kid and he loved the sukiyaki, and the staff was so friendly they subbed out their noodle salad for a seaweed salad without hesitation when I told them about my son's food allergies. Overall, really great find and they keep things simple and at a decent price point. We will be back!

Great value in this economy when everything is so expensive. The portions are quite large. Fish is very fresh and good quality. My only gripes were that the nori didn't taste roasted and the pieces were too large.

Amazing place, amazing sushi and even more amazing staff. Got there 30 min before closing and they still were welcoming us in, served us quickly and I was amazed about the quality of the sushi. Lastly, the restaurant had a very quiet and comforting vibe with the sweetest relaxing music transporting you to a different time and place. 10/10

Initially, I wasn't thrilled about having to order at the counter, but after one bite, that minor inconvenience was the last thing on my mind. The menu is limited, which actually made ordering easy. We tried the sashimi and the bento box with beef and chicken skewers. Both were fantastic! The skewers had this mouth-watering, char-grilled taste, and the fresh vegetables were grilled to perfection--not the frozen, bagged kind you find in some places. That attention to detail was a huge plus for me. Sushi was pretty decent especially for the price. I think I found my go to place for sushi. Alot of sushi in the Corona is overpriced for the quality. The price for these are spot on. Not only that, the person who made our rolls (which I'm guessing is the owner) is super nice and welcoming while being helpful with the menu. I will definitely be wasting my money here in the future. Ambience is nice. Not a lot of seating inside, but nice and clean.

Omg! I haven't had sushi this good since I lived in Manhattan. The way they seasoned the rice was 11/10. So good. They were also really nice. The ambiance was chill. I just did pick up so I can't speak too much to it but the chef was really nice.

Super delicious! Stumbled upon Musahi's one day when I was craving broiled fish! I ended up ordering the Salmon Kama, which is the salmon collar over a bed of rice! So tasty :) as of lately they have not had the salmon kama but they did have the hamachi kama (yellow tail) which was just as good! 10/10 would recommend, can't wait to try their sashimi offerings

I went there two times and both times have good experience. I am very happy there's a good quality and affordable sushi in the area. I tried the sushi set and the chirashi bowl. The fish is very fresh and at good quality, rice is nice and has good flavor too. I will definitely come back more often.

This place is affordable but maybe the price reflects the quality. I really really wanted to like this place and rate highly. I understand why some people have it highly reviewed but it is not what I look for in sushi. The salmon is cut too thick and there is too much rice. When it is cut thick it is too chewy. The nori for the California role is on the outside and makes it not as easy to eat, I wished that the rolls would have been smaller or it would have been like the traditional rolls with rice on the outside. Also the fish was not cold enough. The ambience is okay, there was pop music playing in the tv and the place is clean/minimalistic. You order at the front then pick a table so there's not much service involved. He seems nice and asked if we liked our food but that was it. Personally would not recommend it or go back but I guess it's good for someone who wants something affordable and quick. Buy my husband and I both agreed for the price we would have preferred chick-fil-a . We took it to go to see if anyone else would want to eat our leftovers.

Fantastic! Came here for the first time as a recommendation from my friends that live in Corona. We actually drove all the way from South OC to come try it out. Their prices are spectacular and their fish is fresh. We unfortunately arrived late, but they were still willing to accommodate and we extremely kind. It's a quaint but clean facility and we enjoyed our experience even though we took our food to-go. 10/10 would come again! Wish we could come more often.

You walk in and (with the utmost respect) you dont expect you're about to have a really amazing food experience. Humble setting served with humble pride. Seems like a Japanese husband and wife duo and orders came out timely. Well priced for what you get and portions are more than plenty. I had the Nigiri Sushi Dinner with an Unagi Bowl, my wife got a couple salmon rolls and we loved all of it. Not a lot of tables so definitely reccomend reservations. Tea is self-serve and delicious. We'll definitely be making the 25 minute trek there again next time we want a nice sushi experience.

Woww!!. What a gem place , I work down the street and I noticed this place was new had to come in and check them out, everyone (2 gentleman) were very kind . They just opened like a 1 week ago so they are barley getting there things together but wowwww there food is soooo good!!!! I will most definitely come back. They prepare your food so fast service and ambiance amazing!!! See you guys soon! Pricing is very reasonable.

Yellow tail delicious. Friendly service. Peaceful ambiance. Best green tea I've ever had. I don't remember the roll name, but it was amazing. Tuna ball had lots of flavor. Overall 10-10. Best price in town.
