I was introduced to this bakery by my brother when he bought the most amazing cheesecakes for a dinner gathering with family and friends. I was mesmerized by the quality and taste of their cheesecakes. It is super creamy and not overly rich in sweetness. Go ahead and place your order! You will not be disappointed 🍰😋 *Since we had quite a bit of leftovers, I placed in smaller portions in the freezer. Even after thawing it, the taste is still amazing!

The silky smooth texture inside paired with the thin outside hardened layer being such a sweet contrast. This spot was worth the splurge! Totally recommend.

Call in advance to order! There’s not much of a brick and mortar- other than to pick up your pre-made orders. We just showed up wanting to purchase something… and Luckily there was 1 regular cheese cake available for purchase so we did! And it was great! The way it’s super soft in the middle and then regular cheese cake towards the end with slightly burnt top is baked to perfection! Great concept and great tasting! Tiramisu would be next to try. This is hands down the best cheesecake my husband and I have ever had. I ordered the tiramisu one for his birthday and was definitely skeptical on how an 8" cheesecake could be worth $100, especially since I first saw this spot on Instagram...but my mind has been blown. If you're looking to impress and make a special occasion super memorable...DO THIS!

I was searching for a really good cheesecake in the San Diego area. Muse did not disappoint, and to date, it is at the top of my list. First, the cheesecake is top notch - flavors are balanced, it was baked to perfection, and the toppings were perfect. Staff was super nice, friendly, efficient. Make sure you know the ordering and pickup process which is clearly spelled out in the emails and texts. When I arrived, I only waited 5 - 10 minutes total, which I think is awesome. It is true that the place is in a shared kitchen, which is not an issue - many high end bakers / catering use these kitchens to keeps costs down while keeping quality high. I also use another cake place that's in a shared kitchen and they also make excellent cakes. Now, the only negative thing I can say is the area is grungy, and parking is hit or miss. If you know Hancock street, you know what I mean. Not a knock on Muse, but don't get turned off by the dirty streets. Seriously. The cheesecake is totally worth it. I will be back again!

I’ve been curious about Basque cheesecake for a while, and Muse Cheesecake in San Diego totally exceeded my expectations. After reading so many rave reviews, I ordered their classic Basque cheesecake for my husband’s birthday and wow. It was ultra creamy, rich without being heavy, and perfectly balanced. Not too sweet, which we loved. The caramelized top added just the right depth of flavor. My whole family loved it and I’m already looking forward to trying their other flavors.

Hubby and I came from LA to try this viral and famous basque cheesecake and it did not disappoint!!! We didn't even make it back home before trying it! So creamy, not overly sweet and you can taste the quality ingredients. A huge surprise was when the actual owner/baker herself came out to bring my order! ( me fangirling a little ) she is so kind and pretty! Overall experience was 10/10!

Omg this place is amazing and too bad I live 1.5hrs away from here or maybe it's a good thing or else I'll be getting it all the time. ITS SOOOO CREAMY AND DELICIOUS!!! We were sent a text and email on pick up location. I believe it was the baker herself bringing out the cheesecake herself!! So sweet!! The bag and boxes were purely luxurious!! Eye catching for sure! I got the 6" biscoff with the topping and it was perfect. I also got the ube mini and it was creamy! I was expecting it to be a little less creamy due to its size but perfection. We were so excited so we drove to a near by park and ate it at the park. It was perfection! HIGHLY RECOMMEND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!! Excited to try more flavors

Ok ok, more like 4.5 Stars. I love burnt basque cheesecake style (honestly any cheesecake) and this is the closest TRUE version I could find. I was in SD for work and definitely had to make a stop here. I placed an online order for the mini sampler box - original, ube, espresso and Oreo. Ok let me start by saying "mini" is still a really good size! I was expecting something a lot smaller so that was a pleasant surprise. The cheesecakes are so damn tasty, creamy, and full of flavor. I want some more! Docked star because it is pricey and it's far from me but still highly recommend! I will go back when I'm in the area.

Honestly unbelievable! Order one soon. Just do it. I know what I'm getting for every celebration now. It's a little expensive but absolutely worth it for a special occasion. I couldn't help but react when I had my first bite. Really having to practice self control to not finish the whole thing today!

I've been following this page since I saw it on Instagram while I was pregnant, and the craving for something I've never had in my life was overwhelming. So I decided to just order it one day, and after picking it up and trying it today, my life is changed. This was everything that I dreamt it would be and more, and it is so delicious I ate almost the entire 6" one in the car on the way home. It is so creamy and the flavor is phenomenal. I got the classic (which the owner says is the best via their Instagram) and the biscoff cookie. I'm excited to try the biscoff one when we get home, as I'm writing this review in the car LOL. But 10000/10 recommend, and will definitely be ordering from them again!!

Highly recommend ordering from this place. Their basque cheesecake is unreal. Super creamy on the inside. Will definitely be ordering here again. I wish they sold individual or smaller sizes but besides that the cheese cake is so tasty and the texture is perfect.

I've been seeing ads for this cheesecake everywhere, so I finally gave in and tried it. I got the original and the ube. Honestly, one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. It's not crazy sweet like Cheesecake Factory. The middle is super creamy, almost like a pudding, and the texture just melts in your mouth. It is a little pricey, but honestly worth it for how good it is. Definitely recommend if you've been on the fence about trying it.

My daughter ordered a birthday cake from this bakery ! Ok it's not the ordinary bundt or fruit decorated cake birthday cakes but ...... ready for this??!!!!!!!!! IT's CHEESECAKESSSSSSSSSSSS! Boxed with a red ribbon bow was 4 different flavored mini burnt basque round cheesecakes: UBE, BISCOFF, OREO, DULCE de LECHE!! The creaminess custard like interior filling and perfectly caramelized top to the extend of almost burnt deep brown color were a melt-in-your- mouth experience!!

I drove over 100 miles to try this cheesecake. One way. From Orange County to San Diego. And I would do it again! This was the most delicious cheesecake I have ever had. I ordered my cheesecake 2 days in advance. I got the original basque cheesecake. You can add chocolate sauce and berries, but I decided not to on my first time. Pick up was at a commercial kitchen. I dm'ed them on Instagram telling them I arrived, and the cheesecake came out shortly after. They even provided forks, a knife, and some plates for us to eat off of. The texture of this cheesecake is something else. The insides melt out like nectar as you remove the first slice, more liquid than solid. The taste is remarkable. Rich... not too sweet... a little tangy... and so velvety smooth. Unbelievable. It tasted even better than I could've imagined. Oh to have this elixir coat my tongue for the first time again.

I've tried the classic and the ube flavors and both were really good. I bought the ube one for a family get together and everyone liked it. My only issue is pickup. There is limited parking so both times I've had to double park. The other big issue is the wait. I picked up the ube cheesecake last week and I had to wait 20 minutes, which I was not happy about. As instructed, I texted right when I got there but I got no response and no one came out. After 15 minutes I had to call and wait another 5 minutes.

I tried their Classic Burnt Basque Cheesecake with chocolate and fresh fruit topping and their Oreo Burnt Basque Cheesecake, and let me tell you--WOW. The flavor, texture, and richness were out of this world. The classic was so creamy and perfectly balanced with the chocolate drizzle and fresh fruit, while the Oreo one was a dream come true for anyone who loves cookies and cream. Each bite literally melted in my mouth. On top of the amazing cheesecake, the staff was so kind, helpful, and welcoming. You can tell they really care about their customers and the quality of their desserts. It makes the whole experience that much sweeter. One thing to know is that they offer lots of unique flavors, but many of them are pre-order only--so if you want to explore their full menu, definitely order ahead. It's worth it, trust me, I was lucky to get the flavors I wanted same day due to it being in stock already This place is truly a treasure in San Diego, and I can't wait to go back and try more! Highly recommend for anyone looking for cheesecake that's not just dessert, but an experience.

I surprised myself by being so drawn in by a targeted ad, but even more shocking was how much the cheesecake exceeded expectations! If you've seen their videos of these cakes cut in half, with the centers looking so luxe, it is just as incredible in real life. As I am just one person, I had to wait for a gathering to order a full cake, and 4th of July was the occasion. As they are not a full storefront, orders need to be made at least a day in advance. Ordering online was seamless, and the owner was so sweet when I was asking about pick up on the holiday. This cheesecake is unlike any other I've had before, where the center is near a liquid custard. Not sure if it's everyone's cup of tea, but it sure is mine. I served the original basque with berries on top. If they sold by the slice I would be in danger of obesity, but full cakes and pricing will keep this more of a luxury treat for special occasions.

Words do not describe how unbelievably delicious these cheesecakes are! I purchased the biscoff (with cookie crumble and cookie butter add on) and pistachio (with homemade pistachio paste). My husband and I have been devouring both for the last two days and are absolutely in love with this place! We can't wait to try different flavors! Hands down best cheesecake we've ever had.

Stunningly creamy and decadent. The ads with a spoon scooping out the custard-like center are for real. Ordering and pickup was a breeze. I didn't have faith that a 6" could feed 6 people so I sized up. That was unnecessary. A little of this rich cheesecake goes a long way.

I saw this cheesecake on Instagram and immediately told my husband I needed it for my birthday. We picked it up last night and I'm thrilled to report it lived up to the hype! Incredibly creamy and delicious. This will be the best cheesecake you will ever have! The owner was incredibly sweet and appreciative of our business. She basically just walks the cheesecake out to you as soon as you arrive, super easy and convenient.

This has to be one of my favorite cheesecakes! I drove all the way to San Diego to pick this up (5hrs total) This Ube basque cheesecake is so creamy and rich and delicious. It was everything and more that I wanted out of a cheesecake. They are out of a commercial kitchen right now, but if they open a location in LA, I will definitely be buying this often. I would now like to try all their other flavors!

The most delicious cheesecake I have ever eaten. I bought the classic cheesecake for my friend's baby sprinkle and it was perfecttttt. The entire group couldn't stop raving about this dessert. I still dream about it. A MUST visit.

It was actually the best cheesecake I've ever had. Had the burnt basque and the ube, would've ordered the sakura and yuzu too if it wasn't sold out. But it was heavenly. Important note is that this isn't a dine in location only pickup. I traveled from Los Angeles so this wasn't obvious to me but they were gracious and very nice. And it was so so good, will 1000000% be coming back for more!!

I saw this place on IG and sent it to my friend ended up getting it as her birthday cake! It was definitely a hit. Perfectly balanced sweetness, super creamy, and really delicious. It's definitely rich and filling after a few bites, but that's to be expected with cheesecake. So good!

They are the best they taste great the best one so far Dulce the leche cannot get enough of that flavor

This is the best cheese cake in San Deigo. So soft and creamy. Perfect amount of sweetness. Pick up process were so easy but do not forget to placed an order in advance at least a day. Definitely Recommend.

Please stop scrolling and order a cheesecake asap. It's delicious. The flavors were balanced with the smoothest, most perfect texture. We absolutely recommend it! This cheesecake saved our evening after choosing a not so ideal restaurant for a special event. For reference, we had the raspberry matcha. :)

I wanted to leave an honest review of my experience with their cheesecake. I think the owner is great. I actually found her through an Instagram post where she was tagged, and I decided to give her cheesecake a try. The reason I purchased it was because it looked amazing online, and I was on my period and craving something indulgent. I went for the tiramisu cheesecake, and while it was okay, it didn't taste as good as it looked. Honestly, I've had better cheesecake from places like Costco which is sad to say but that's the truth from my experience. I'm not sure if the flavor was off because the chef was just having an off day or if that's how it normally tastes, but for the price, I was hoping for better quality. Tiramisu and cheesecake might not be the best combination, as their flavors contrast a lot, but that was just my experience. On a positive note, the packaging was a 10/10--elegant, beautiful, and very professional. I visited her when she was just starting out and offering pick-ups, and now I see her business is growing, which is amazing! I'm writing this review based on my first experience, but I plan to give it another shot, this time trying the classic cheesecake. I'm hopeful that it will live up to its appearance on social media, super fluffy, yummy like I'm praying it to be.

My wife found this place on Instagram and decided to give it a try. She put an order in and had me pick it up the following day. We got two mini cheesecakes, an Ube and Chocolate. Mind you, this was a surprise to me. I was told I needed to pick up a cheesecake, which I'm not much of a fan of traditionally. The place is shared kitchen, so the wife called ahead to let them know I'm en route. When the box was handed to me, i immediately noticed how heavy the box was. It was like handing off a gallon of milk. I opened it up and immediately liked what I saw. As soon as I got home, my wife demanded I cut them up and start serving them up to the family, so I complied . Anyway. Long story short these cakes last about 20min. Two mini cakes cut into 10 pieces. They are very dense, and very pudding like in the center. They are very rich in flavor but not overly bearingly sweet. The Ube was spot on flavor, and was my favorite of the two. The chocolate my wife claimed as her favorite. This place is worth checking out and a welcomed addition to the San Diego dessert landscape!

Best cheesecake ever! So rich and creamy! Visiting San Diego and ordered the Ube cheesecake for a birthday celebration. Retrieving it was easy. I got a text that my order was ready, parked at curbside, and called the number to let them know I was there. A sweet lady brought the cheesecake over and then handed me some birthday candles, which was very awesome of her. Would definitely order again when I'm back in town!

I saw the ads on Instagram for Muse Cheesecakes and they looked so delicious. After many months of thinking about it, I pulled the plug and ordered 4 minis. And wow! Probably the best Basque cheesecakes I've ever had! So silky smooth, delicious, and not overly sweet, which I prefer. I couldn't pick which flavor I wanted and thats why I got the 4 minis. I love all of them. I got Ube, espresso, Dulce, and classic flavors. I'm going to order the other flavors in minis too next. And it came in a pretty box with a bow. So cute! Ordering was easy. And pickup was a breeze. You'll get notified once your order is ready. Can't wait to try the other flavors!

If you are looking for amazing basque burnt cheesecakes that are not overly sweet and made with real ingredients, this is it! Tried the ube and original flavor. Ube flavor actually tastes like real ube, not the artificial taste usually used in ube desserts. Original is very good too! I will return and try all the other flavors!

I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the best cheesecake I've ever had. The price is a bit high but quality surpasses the price. If you like basque cheesecake (think creamy, a little gooey) then this will not disappoint. I shared a 6 inch original with my friends and we will be back to try other flavors in larger sizes. Those who leave poor reviews are nuts. They should not be allowed to leave a review without finding resolution with the owner. They are the nicest people you will meet and have taken our suggestions to heart. They are starting our but taking over by storm. THE absolute best cheesecakes ive tried. Also try the creamiest cake, the absolute best.

So I kept seeing everyone talk about this over instagram. I live in Missouri but I'm from San Diego, I thought well I'll get these for my family as a "for no reason" gift. I got three different flavors and different sizes and according to my family they were amazing. I thought okay awesome, now I'm going back to San Diego to visit and I want a piece of that pie. So I ordered two more and OMG!!! It was like heaven in my mouth. My family orders from her now for their events and I don't blame them one bit. I don't know what she does or how she does it but it's MAGIC.

The ONLY reason this isn't a 5 star rating is bc I paid for "decor for mini cakes" and my minis were naked... I did get the whipped honey for the pumpkin mini though. (I didn't say anything upon pick up because when she brought them out to me I couldn't remember if I selected the 5 dollars extra for decor or not) The minis were larger than I anticipated them being, and although they're naked they're so good. I ordered the ube (probably my favorite one of them) espresso, salted caramel and pumpkin. I also ordered the cream cake, but haven't broken I to that one yet, but it looks picture perfect. Location is hard to find, I wanted to go inside and pick it up but I couldn't find where they were located so I had to do the car side delivery. The owner is super nice. Would definitely order again, despite paying to not have naked cakes and them being naked.

The location is not an actual location. It's a shared food kitchen. The ordering process is quiet confusing. Placed ordered, waited 3 days. Text number hours before planned pick up when only 30 mins is instructed, no response. Showed up. Called 3 times to finally get an answer. They had closed. No clue what the actual product taste like but the process and customer service was very disappointing. I live 1.5 hours away.

My goodness. This is my second time ordering one of her cheesecakes, and I'm literally counting down the moments until I can pick it up. Not only is the product phenomenal, but the customer service is just as good. She's so kind, and makes the whole experience feel personal. A true gem!

OMG!!! To say that Muse cheesecakes are unbelievably delicious is an understatement!  I really have no words to describe it, but I can honestly tell you that I went to heaven while eating them!!! Thank you so much Muse cheesecakes for the ride!  I will definitely come back for more!

I normally don't leave reviews but this is now my favorite cheesecake place. Ordered the mini oreo cheesecake a day before pickup. The center was creamy and the outside had a good consistency. Definitely worth preordering.

I discovered them on IG and immediately knew I HAD to try one. I finally pulled the trigger and WOW! I love all types of cheesecake but their burnt basque cheesecake might be my new fav! They are just as good as their videos look. So creamy, not overly sweet and the smoothest texture! Run don't walk, I'll be ordering again!

We really enjoyed our Espresso Cheesecake. The texture was soft and creamy. There is only one thing, if you can put a piece of paper under the cheesecake, it'll be great. The cake slips really easily in the box.

While there are a ton of recipes for basque cheesecake online, what sets these cakes apart would be the flavor offerings and that gooey creamy consistency with the right amount of sweetness. It's as good as the reels she posts online! I will continue to purchase my monthly mini sized indulgence.

Muse Cheesecakes are delicious! I got a mini oreo cheesecake last time, and it was just as amazing described. This time I got a medium sized pumpkin spiced cheesecake, which I already know will be amazing as well, especially with the whipped honey. I will definitely continue ordering these for birthdays! Ordered a cinnamon bun cheesecake for my husband's birthday dinner this evening . The silence that came over the table was astonishing when served . So decadent, creamy and moist . The burnt basque style is somewhat unique in texture but the flavors and quality ingredients shine . To my surprise the same beautiful woman doing the baking also delivered me my order with a smile . Love supporting small business ! Can't wait to place my next order !!

Ordered a dulce de leche cheesecake for my boyfriend for his birthday and oh my lord...this is the best cheesecake we've ever had. The consistency is perfect, the flavor is rich but not too sweet. Also the packaging the cake came in is such a good quality. The owner hand delivered the cake to me at my car when I arrived at the bakery and she was so kind and sweet. Also the communication skills of the business were great so I knew exactly what time I'd be able to pick up the cake on the day I ordered it for. 10/10 will definitely be ordering more cheesecakes from here in the future.

I ordered the Biscoff cheesecake and I can easily say this was the best cheesecake I've ever had. You're definitely paying for quality dessert here. The owner was also so nice and sweet. I am happy I trusted Muse to make my BFs birthday cake! (ALSO get the toppings )
