They were not prepared for the Paint Your Pet class because they kept their doors closed until the last possible moment - it was to start at 6:30pm and they requested you to show up at 6-6:15pm but yet they kept hoards of people waiting on the sidewalk until 6:30pm and I actually thought they were going to cancel the event, they were obviously overbooked. I don’t know why they did this, ie why couldn’t they let people in at the time they stated on the website but instead keeping us all waiting outside like this - I suspect they were late in coming to set up is the only explanation. Regardless, everyone was friendly and very engaging, they did their best to help people with their paintings, but the food ordering was a huge fail because again: they kept their doors closed until the start of the event instead of letting people in as they came and seating them. So it became a bottleneck at the last minute where a long line formed inside with people waiting to order food and it took literally THREE hours to serve the last orders. We were in there until 9:30pm - 3 hours into this class because they took almost the whole first hour just to get organized, the guided instruction did not begin until close to 7:15/7:30pm. The painting ‘teacher’’’s speaking style was a little aggressive, it did not inspire a relaxing vibe; she sounded like a competition show emcee, not an artist, she spoke rapidly and aggressively. Also, because they allowed the event to be so overbooked, they had many of us sit on high metal stools without any back support and sitting on such uncomfortable surfaces for 3 hours was definitely something I did not sign up for and I could not fully enjoy my painting time. I hope that other events will not be as poorly booked as this was - they really should not be packing it like this.
