The museum has many of Toulouse Lautrec’s paintings that were donated by three women, one was his mother and there is a portrait of her too in the museum. It’s very interesting to visit and learn about his life and artwork. Take your time. The museum is closing for noon though but you can go in the evening too with the same ticket. Totally recommend it!

Beautiful experience! The paintings on 3rd lower half were the best from the collection in my opinion. Wasn't a huge fan of that aspect of the museum but it definitely made up for it being able to experience the entire building and all it's gardens.

Worth taking the time to visit. The museum is well done. It was interesting to learn the history of Lautrec and see his work from a budding artist to the end of his life. It was nice the museum provided English translated guide sheets throughout the museum. When you're done make sure to check out the garden in the back.

Google
Largest collection of works by Henri Toulouse-Lautrec. Very good display of works from throughout his life. Very good description of works and overview of his life displayed from room to room. Also, some works by his famous instructors and friends. Descriptions in French, English, and Spanish (Castellano). I saw that in each room, there are large laminated card with the descriptions in other languages (German, Occitan, and others). The old building housing the collection itself would be worth visit. The museum store is much more reasonably priced than most. The staff is very kind. They are obviously proud that Lautrec is their home town boy. Really very nice experience.

Google
You will have seen Toulouse-Latrecs work on classic posters, Moulin Rouge etc. Now you can see many of them in one place and learn about the life of the artist, on display in a fascinating building, along with interesting works by other artists also. Really worth about an hour and a half, to two hours of your time.

We loved this museum. Beautiful paintings by Toulouse-Lautrec were wonderful to see. Especially his self portrait at 16 years old. The guy could paint, at an early age. A treasure trove of a collection. Plus, the museum staff were so kind and helpful. Well worth a visit!

Yelp
Museum is located in a fantastic, little city. I'm not really a fan of Lautrec's art but I sure did appreciate it and how the museum was set up for visitors. I learned a lot and left with a new appreciation for the man and the artist of his times. If you are in Albi, France..... this is a must see. Then, visit the outdoor cafes, church, and shops.

Yelp
The museum located in the Palais de la Berbie. This building is use by the Bishops at the pass. Now is museum palace. This art museum is dedicated to an artist work of the painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec who was born in Albi. Many of the art works are the last painting of Henri. The artist mother donated the remaining work of Henri to the museum at 1922. This huge collection is now on display here. They include the last painting of the examination of the doctors. Henri did sketch himself in his drawings. It is interesting to see many rue de moulin painting collection. The art symbolizes the Moulin Rouge in that time. He also has some art work on circus, society, medicine, and more. Many show posters of the show have been done by him are in display. If you want to learn the poster work, you may want to visit this museum.

Yelp
Beautiful building. Lots of Toulouse lautrec art with a sprinkling of other art as well. The gardens by the water are beautiful and you should take a moment and visit outside the castle as well!

Yelp
i am a big fan of lautrec's works - have seen exhibits of his works all over. the museum is located in the center of town in a really nice castle. the collection spans throughout his career. my favorites are the sketches from the circus. it's worth a visit for fans and for non-fans.

Yelp
Fantastic and extensive collection of Lautrec's housed the beautiful Berbie palace, adjacent to the massive brick cathedral. Tickets are a mere 9 Euros, however, if you are not the type that races through a museum, be warned that it closes at noon and then reopens at 2 in the afternoon. You can return with your ticket, but the museum is a near, all day event. The collection includes his work from when we was a young boy to his final painting.

Yelp
This was a great way to escape the rain while exploring Albi! Large museum in a lovely setting and with a beautiful garden. Has many of the artist's earlier works and proofs of more-famous works. Audio guide was not needed, because there is a 2-page description in various languages (French, English, German) available in each room.
