An outstanding museum for kids of all ages! The details and scenery of the dioramas are amazing. Don't miss the video on the second floor on how it was made and transported to Florence. You can also enjoy the virtual reality experience. A must while in Florence! Highly recommended

Absolutely breathtaking model train build, the best I’ve ever seen. Brilliant design, stunning scenery and the attention to detail is excellent. The lighting, immersive wall projections and areas make for an outstanding experience.

One of my personal highlights of Florence!! HZERO is the most beautiful model train model that I've ever seen, and one of the largest in Europe! The details are jaw dropping and the atmosphere is beautiful. The music, lighting, and noises make the experience even more immersive. Don't skip the movie in the theatre on the second floor as it tells the story of the model in an an incredibly beautiful light.

Fantastic place. Employees are very polite and helpful. Perfect for kids to have a break from museums and churches. 😂

This is not a real museum but rather an exhibition of a large HO scale model railway, hence the name, and it's really worth a visit. You can spend a good hour enjoying a number of trains travelling through the nice dioramas (designed and realized by expert craftsmen) that replicates different environments of the "real world." On the first floor there is a room with a glass wall overlooking the entire railway system. At the same floor there is also a small auditorium where they're showing a documentary that describe the history of this scale model railway. The clean toilets are available inside.

This was the most amazing railway museum I’ve ever been to! Incredibly detailed dioramas and surprisingly luxurious interiors. So fortunate we found this by accident!

In Florence and not sure what to do? Head straight to the HZERO museum. It’s not your typical museum, and that’s exactly what makes it special. Whether you’re into trains, design, architecture, or just curious about something different—this place is worth your time. HZERO is home to one of the largest model railways in Europe, and it’s stunning. The level of detail is incredible. Every piece of the landscape—mountains, towns, stations, tunnels—is crafted with precision. Trains move through the miniature world, lights shift from day to night, and the whole scene feels alive. What sets HZERO apart is how it mixes technical skill with artistic style. It’s not just a model—it’s a full experience. The space is beautifully designed, modern, and calming. You don’t just look at trains—you walk into a different world. It’s also not overwhelming. You can take your time, walk around, and just enjoy the details. You’ll notice something new every few steps—tiny figures going about their day, moving trains crossing bridges, perfectly scaled buildings tucked into hillsides. Even if you’re not usually into this kind of thing, it’s hard not to be impressed. It’s quiet, creative, and surprisingly moving. A great break from the usual tourist spots. And the best part? It’s right in the center of Florence. Easy to reach, easy to enjoy. In short: if you’re in Florence, don’t miss HZERO. It’s a hidden gem, full of wonder and precision. Bellissimo.
