Museum of Arts and Design

Courtesy of the New York Library’s Culture Pass, I was able to take a friend to visit the Museum of Art and Design. Located in Columbus Circle. this museum is grand and worth visiting. I had been here a few times in earlier years and had seen an exquisite perfume exhibit that I still remember fondly. Adrienne and I saw the floors that we were allowed to see. The art work was both enjoyable and educational. Restrooms are in the lower ground level. Before we left we went up to the museum restaurant Robert to see the interior and the breathtaking view of the park and scenery.

Great museum on Columbus Circle. I enjoyed the new exhibition on Sonya Clark (born 1967), which is witty, aesthetically pleasing, and thought-provoking at the same time. The building itself was initially designed by Edward Durell Stone in 1963 and then redesigned by Allied Works in 2008. While the redesign has its merits, it unfortunately erased most of the traces of the original Venetian-style design by Edward Durell Stone. However, you can still find some of the original design in the basement. The museum store is great too.

I got tickets for the Taylor Swift experience museum and it is an amazing experience! You get to see outfits throughout her career and learn a bit about her background as well! What we didn’t know is if you get tickets for the Taylor Swift museum, you also pay for the 2 museums upstairs as well! and those were also cool to see!

Museum of Arts & Design has some great pieces and interesting art. I was surprised how small the collection was, it's mostly on two floors(3rd was closed for upcoming show) and two more floors for the artist "studios". Museum shop was nice, overall it's a fairly quick museum stop.

Our daughters loved the Taylor Swift exhibition, which is an additional ticket. We enjoyed the other floors with inspirational sculptures from nature and the dedicated movement artist Shary Boyle!

Spectacular place to see an exhibit. We went for Taylor Swift Storyteller exhibit, and it was phenomenal! The displays were well thought out, and the video boards were great!

I expected more from the Design Museum. Some of the exhibits were interesting. In addition to the permanent one, there is now a temporary exhibition of Taylor Swift costumes.

I went to see the Taylor Swift Storyteller exhibit at the Museum of Art and Design with my daughter. Costumes from her Eras tour were beautifully displayed, as well as some of the fine jewelery pieces she wore, designed by Versace. Her music and video played to complement the experience. I definitely recommend going if you have the opportunity.
