Five floors celebrating handcraft, founded by a local philanthropist. Condé Nast Traveler cites St. Pete’s art bona fides with this museum among the standouts, and the on-site café makes lingering easy.

I highly recommend coming to this museum. This staff here are really nice. Their cafe has a lot of food options which is rare for a museum. They made a great ice coffee. I was obsessed over the decorative arts and the frame exhibition. I am a NARM member so I was able to come in for free.

Google
An incredible venue and museum and one of the best I have ever visited anywhere! The architecturally stunning building is reminiscent of the Guggenheim in NYC. This museum opened in 2021 and is 140,000 sq ft and 5 floors. A vast collection from the American Arts and Crafts Movement from 1880 to 1930. Beautifully curated furniture, pottery, lamps and lighting, paintings, woodblock prints, iron and copper works, tiles, etc. An amazing experience. I was there for 3 hours and didn’t make it to the 5th floor. I will be back.

Google
I absolutely enjoyed this museum to the Max… 5 levels (got my steps in) & each floor with unique exhibits, art, vintage displays & the view was spectacular all around. The admission was reasonable, the cafe staff were super pleasant & the space in this beautiful building is breathtaking-super clean, accessible bathrooms on all floors… walked every inch of the museum didn’t want to miss anything-truly an overall wonderful outing!! Highly recommended for all museum lovers ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Google
The architecture of this museum is not to be missed. This single collector put together an amazing agglomeration of works from the Arts and crafts. This includes extensive pottery, furniture, lighting, and other architectural elements of the era. The inside of the museum is incredibly well thought out and one of the finest designed museums we have ever visited anywhere. The staff was very helpful and nice, there is a good Museum Store and cafe. We were really impressed with this Museum and we travel the world seeing museums. What a gem.

Google
Better than I even built it up to be. The work runs the gamut from simpler pottery to LCT glass and everything in-between. I was there for a little over 2 hours and could have spent 2 more easily. The exhibits were both beautiful and educational. Can't recommend highly recommend it highly enough.

Google
I was a little disappointed. There are 5 floors on the museum with so much empty space. Maybe I expected too much? Rather than being impressive the pieces felt more like ordinary, it felt like visiting a paid antique shop.

Google
I would have to call it a spectacular museum. The building itself has a 5 story atrium. The collection contains items from furniture to lamps and other things like iron and copper works from the Arts and Crafts era at the beginning of the 20th century.

Google
4 floors of incredible works of art disguised as lamps, tiles, furniture and more. Had such a fun time seeing this incredible collection and got some awesome books at the gift shop.

Yelp
The museum has beautiful examples of furniture, lamps, glass and more from the Arts and Crafts period. If you like Tiffany style lamps, Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, and Mission style furniture, this is the place for you. Since it features, American artists and craftsmen, it does not include one of my favorites: Charles Rennie MackIntosh from Glasgow Scotland. It also has a small café that serves coffee, beer, wine, sandwiches, and more in the brightly lit lobby. There is a small museum shop to take home a collectible or two. It is located in the heart of downtown Saint Petersburg and easily accessible, with its own parking garage.

Yelp
Very nice museum. Loved the cafe and the gift shop. The exhibition was very well placed throughout the museum. I also enjoyed that the parked was very inexpensive.

Yelp
Loved this museum! The collection is beautiful, extensive and cohesive, and the building is stunning. Very educational too.

Yelp
Very nice museum. Mostly dedicated to furniture pieces and light fixtures, however, there is a section with paintings and another with photography. I thought it was a bit pricey, even with a student discount. The cafe on the first floor was also nice. I ordered a bourbon vanilla mousse cake. I liked it although it didn't taste like much

Yelp
The museum is beautifully built, but lacked a cohesive explanation of the movement at the beginning of the exhibits. Most of the items were grouped by type or artist, but I truly loved the small vignettes that showed pieces in context- it made them seem much more cohesive. I also missed seeing more emphasis on the contributions of women and people of color to the movement. Finally, there was a high pitched noise that was constant throughout my visit, making the entire experience that much more unpleasant.

Yelp
This museum is Outstanding ! Examples from each of the elements of Arts and Crafts design are included. The pottery is probably the strongest aspect of the displays. As many have mentioned, the building itself is a work of art. I have been here twice and will definitely be back again. I love bringing people here who haven't been before.

Yelp
Here is another rave review of the MAACM. Add this to the other world class museums - The Dali and The Chihuly - that make St. Pete more than a beach town. We started our visit viewing one of the movies that play all day - watch until you get enough introduction and then start your stroll through this inspiring space. Read the other well written reviews about the excellent exhibits. There are also some changing exhibits as well. There are a couple of rooms that have been dismantled and reproduced in their entirety- so cool! Including lunch, we spend 3-1/2 hours there. Speaking of lunch, the museum's Arts and Crafts Cafe deserves its own 5 star review. It's cafeteria style, but the food is made up fresh and brought to your table. We had a reuben sandwich that was so giant we could take half of it home. My sister could taste a hint of sherry in her home made cream of mushroom soup and my flatbread pizza was a generous size and on point. Excellent coffee as well. We noticed patrons coming in from the street to simply eat at the cafe. All in all we had a wonderful day at the museum and cafe and I highly recommend a visit

Yelp
A must-see if you are in Florida--and worth a special visit if you live in the US and have an interest in architecture and design. Perhaps one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever visited. Outstanding exhibits and curation. Interesting to see the work of women artisans and designers well represented. We found free street parking very easily. This gem should by rights be one of the better-known museums in the country.

Yelp
Chalk up another GREAT museum visit! My wife and I spent a good bit of an afternoon touring the absolutely wonderful Museum of the American Arts & Crafts Movement in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. The collection is fantastic, with tons of galleries spread out over 5 levels, each devoted to a different subject (furniture/lamps/copper/pottery/etc). It probably helped that we visited on a weekday afternoon, but we practically had the place to ourselves. We saw a grand total of just three other couples while we were there--but because of the very generous spacing between each exhibit, even on a crowded day I don't think you'd have a feeling that you were in a "crush" of people. Check out the handful of images I shot while we were there!

Yelp
The museum opened about two months ago. It is a gorgeous building and just for that is worth the visit. The lobby and the stairs are beautifully architected. There are total of 5 floors. The design of each floor is well thought out with display of mostly wood/ furniture and some paintings, photography, tiles, lamps and pottery. There is a cafe downstairs which seems nice and pleasant place to sit and relax (although we didn't have time ). The view from the windows is impressive. The admission fee is $25 which a bit overprice for a narrow span of art. For few extra $, you can become a member as well. The museum closes at 4 pm and closed on Monday. Give yourself at least two hours to enjoy this beautiful building.

Yelp
Unbelievable!!! NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!! This is a collection like no other. Five floors of works capturing all aspects of the "Arts and Crafts" movement. Stickley, Morris, wright... furniture, glass, pottery, Metalwork, architecture. The building itself is deserving of study. Five stars is not enough.

Yelp
Spent a couple of hours here at the St Petersburg MAACM. Fantastic museum that I highly recommend. It turned out to be one of my favorite museums that I have visited anywhere. As for Saint Petersburg, this museum not only rivals the Dali, but surpasses it in many ways. The building itself architecturally is phenomenal. It's worth just to see it structurally. It's open, airy, with beautiful lines and texture. Yes, I'm talking about the building! The exhibits are well curated. The art and furniture are beautifully presented and spaced so you can enjoy each piece. The furniture, lamps, photographs, tiles, and art capture all aspects of this movement. It's a comprehensive collection. The works are intentionally and smartly set up. The large lettered information panels are both informative and easy to read (no squinting). Why don't more museums present this way? I especially appreciated how ahead of its time this movement's works were. The use of tiles, glass, and wood still speaks to contemporary times. And notice how many women are featured as well. Afterwards we enjoyed coffee at their terrific coffee shop and relaxed in their contemporary couches. This is a must see museum (and not just for St Petersburg, but any museum anywhere). What a credit to the City and to arts in general. Note that admission is not cheap ($25), but they do offer discounts to select groups. No matter what, it's worth it.

Yelp
Ok Cool furniture and lamps from 1900 Very cool building worth the price of admission

Yelp
Amazing, widely curated collection of all things Arts & Crafts! Enjoyed today's visit to this recently opened museum. Downstairs has a cafe and museum store. Upstairs there are elevators and staircases connecting the 4 exhibit floors - Children's area, Furniture, Lighting Gallery, Pottery and Tiles, Photography, Prints, etc. The modern building includes a huge 5-story open interior atrium and many windows with lots of natural light, views of St Pete and Pinellas, but no glare. Look forward to bringing friends and family to see the collections.

Yelp
The city of St. Pete should rename the neighborhood Ciccorello. Have a Rudy Way Bridge. Etcetera. After we came here the first time - and got a membership - a waitress at the Hollander Hotel restaurant across the street ssud that while this beautiful place was being built he'd often stop in for a meal - totally unassuming, easy - going and nice . Dropping like a hundred million of his own money to house a wonderful collection of fantastic holdings to share with the public in a gorgeous setting . We've taken friends here, visitors . Bought tiles and books and coffee cups in the store. I learned that Paul Revere pottery was started the next street up from where I grew up and still have a family building in Boston's North End - I never knew it! The Saturday Evening girls club did some great work ! Thank you Mr. Ciccarello for bestowing a real treasure on the city of St Pete in such a fine setting . Salute'!!

Yelp
In a city filled with wonderful artwork, this place stands out for it mediocrity. The high point is the museum building itself. The building is beautiful and out with a cool ovoid spaceship outside, with a organic spiral staircase inside, and elegant displays. The high point of the exhibits are the giant redwood slab table by George Nakashima. He is a master craftsman who captures the essence of the tree, you can feel the years of its lives reflected in its rings. His chairs combine simplicity of form, elegance of design, master woodworking, an unparalleled feel for the wood, and function. I also enjoyed the whimsical furniture design of Charles Rohlfs which combines whimsical creative design, and function. But about 95% of the things I saw were not of museum quality. For example there was a large collection of Woodblock prints, which didn't belong in a museum.

Yelp
One of my neighbors raved about a recent visit and we decided to check it out for ourselves. We arrived a few minutes after it opened and loved the courtyard and external building design. Well folks, that is only the beginning but a clue of things to come. Although it was a Saturday morning, there weren't yet many people, but it could hold a lot before feeling crowded. The open core allows you to view the interior 5 floors up. We admired the clean modern look and view from many angles and floors. Each floor as a different theme with an admirable collection of items. Pottery, tile, handcrafted furniture. I particularly enjoyed the pottery and lamp shades, but truly learned a wealth of information about very beautiful items. Since I have no artistic talent whatsoever, I was astounded by the tremendous skill and patience of the artisans who can produce something often so functional and with such beauty. We were there nearly 2 hours when we decided we were hungry and looked at the clock to see how quickly the time had gone. We will return for future visits and definitely have relatives who would enjoy this when they come to town.

Yelp
This new museum is beautiful and has a nice collection. The architecture is spectacular. HOWEVER, there is no mask policy and NONE of the staff was wearing a mask. We then went to the James, which is spectacular and they have a mask requirement! The James is incredible and reasonable at protecting the museum goers. Yesterday there were the most COVID deaths in a year and the Arts and Crafts museum had a fair amount of elderly patrons.

Yelp
Beautiful expansive interior with four floors on incredible Arts and Crafts Furniture, Paintings, Pottery, Lamps, Tiles and so much more. I became a member right away and glad I did as there is too much to see in just one day! I am planning my fourth visit to view their in house reference Library! Also, I would advise you to visit the Art's Cafe on the first floor, great food and drink at very reasonable prices, I would go there just to eat! When I was there two awesome young ladies were working and they couldn't have been nicer!

Yelp
Beautiful and Open, went there this week with a group, we had a docent. theuseum itself is beautiful and its starkness shows off the many beautiful objects displayed, many by women artisans. the design and craftsmanship on the furniture and pottery was amazing. I want to go back and see everything as we ran out of time. we had lunch in the cafe and the food was very good and well presented. the gift shop has lots and lots of thoughtful items for sale. we all agreed that we really liked it and wanted to go back

Yelp
This museum is a gem. For those who love the Arts & Crafts movement to anyone interested in architecture and design in general -- or just like pretty objects! -- this building and the objects it houses are a delight! Plan at least an hour visit of the galleries, more if you want to dive deep, and leave time for the lovely gift shop and cafe
