While visiting family in Louisville during Memorial Day Weekend we stopped by to try the burgers we'd heard so much about. Our server, Mina, was sweet and hardworking. Our party of 4 ordered: Seafood Sliders and Short Rib Nachos, as starters. The Short Rib nachos were served room temperature, borderline cold. The Short Rib meat itself was just okay. (2/5). 2 sliders came in an order of Seafood Sliders, so we split those among the 4 of us and found them to be delicious (5/5). The greenish aioli was a nice pairing for all of the chips. For entrèes: BBQ Burger (w/sweet potato fries), Wild Mushroom burger, and Cinco Cinco burger-of-the-month. All of the burgers were overcooked, dry and underseasoned. My Mom and I shared the Wild Mushroom burger, cooked medium. It was cooked medium-well at best. See picture for reference. The sweet potato fries were the favorites among the sides. The Elote fries that came with the Cinco Cinco burger were disappointing. (2/5) Special mention goes to the side of Spicy Crabmeat Aioli I ordered with the Wild Mushroom burger (4/5).

We had a great dinner here! The management was very thoughtful of my food allergy which is always so appreciated. The cocktails were a bit more expensive than I was expecting ($18 peach smash), but the price wasn’t listed, and I didn’t ask so that’s on me. The charcuterie was delicious but not worth the price ($24) in my opinion. Would absolutely return though.

Visited this restaurant while in Louisville to do some of the Bourbon Trail. Great place to go and eat. We were on a tight schedule, so only had the appetiser mussels, but they were fantastic! We had the pesto mussels, which were beautifully cooked and a great flavour. We followed it up with the CEO burger, which was really good. Good choice of beers and as expected, a very good bourbon list. Great place to eat when in Louisville!

One of the best burgers we have had. Calamari appetizer was great. Our server , August, was great. We went with her recommendations. Will be back

We tried this place recently for lunch and had a good meal. The place is spacious and in a cool, older building. The bar is massive and has so many great bourbon options. I enjoyed my Rockhill Farms pour. My wife enjoyed her Classic American Cheeseburger with the hand cut fries. My BBQ burger was excellent. It came with onion rings, bourbon BBQ sauce, and cheese curds on the burger. I wish they would have had cheese curds as an appetizer, as they were quite tasty. My daughter enjoyed her butter noodles. Service was on the slower side and my Coke didn’t come out until after our meal did. However, we would come back again.

There's a reason they're famous for their muscles, they're absolutely amazing. A large bowl of mussels soaking in sauce that is amazingly tasty! The burgers are thick juicy and very flavorful. The wait staff is very friendly but need to check on you more often. We were a table of six and saw a waitress at the beginning when she delivered our drinks and when she came to check on us after the food have been delivered and we had eaten half of it. We had to ask other waitresses to come by to bring us water

We found this spot walking downtown and decided to give it a try. Mrs loves mussels and I can always have a burger. Coworker ordered the steak and was cooked perfectly. The short rib nachos were delicious, wish it was a bigger portion but they were good. Service was great. Definitely check it out.

Google
The food was pretty good here and our waitress did a good job of waiting on us. We got the nachos for an appetizer and they had a lot of meat on them and it was plenty for two people. My husband got the burger and he said it was pretty good and because of all the other food he really didn't need the fries but they come with it. I had the mussels with the Spanish broth and it was a large serving. Excellent broth. If we go back there I will try a different broth next time.

Yelp
The hype met reality - my food was absolutely delicious. I asked for veggies instead of fries and thought I'd get an afterthought of bland jumbled pieces. Instead, I was presented with a beautiful display of zucchini, peppers and carrots that were seasoned just right with a buttery afterthought. My burger without a bun tasted like I make at home - pure beefiness and cooked to order. Our service was exemplary - love it when the server actually sits down to take the order! 5+ stars.

Yelp
Came here for dinner after a day of the Louisville Slugger Museum and a bunch of bourbon. We were seated rather quickly and our server, Megan, was pretty attentive. The restaurant was packed, the bar looked busy, and there was an event going on in the back area. Hubby and I shared the seafood sliders which were amazing- and we requested they be served with the sweet potato fries rather than their homemade chips. The fries were served with a smoked pineapple sauce which was equally incredible, a perfect blend of flavors. I ordered the ponzu mussels, thinking they'd be a bit more on the sweet side, entirely missing the " jalapeño" part of the description. Too spicy for my taste, my husband traded it for his curry cream ones, mussels bathed in a yellow curry sauce which were definitely more to my liking. When Megan learned I didn't like my order, she asked if I wanted to reorder, a sign of good management/ customer service. Against my better judgment, I ordered their carrot cake dessert, served with my choice of ice cream ( vanilla). Creamy, yummy, and decadent, mostly devoured. Special recognition to Andre who served our food with a beautiful smile. Will definitely return when we visit again.

Yelp
The food was delicious. They got our order a bit mixed up (I got the burger with the onions and Bryan got the one without, but we switched that up once I realized I had onions. The fries were crispy, which is so hard to find. The burgers were also cooked perfectly and delicious. I liked the vibe and was surprised how busy it was a bit later for lunch, in spite of the proximity to the Louisville Slugger factory & museum. Service was friendly so the fact that they didn't get the order exactly right wasn't a big deal. There were no allergies involved. I didn't even tell them.

Yelp
Great location downtown Louisville right across the street from our hotel. I enjoyed where we sat, in the booths in front of the bar. We loved the decor and ambiance. The food was great too. The fig salad, fries and the vegetarian burger were delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I had high hopes for this spot based on relatively good Yelp ratings, but it sadly was underwhelming. My boyfriend and I tried it out for Burger Week, and the offer was basically just two plain ol' smashed patties with some yellow cheese on a bun -- you had to pay extra for the lettuce, tomato and raw onion. With other establishments offering their best creative takes on this American classic, it was disappointing to get such a low-effort option. We added on truffle fries, and they were incredibly greasy and didn't taste like truffle at all. The Curry mussels were flavorful but the bread provided tasted like low-quality frozen French bread. My old fashioned was decent but I'm a one rock kind of ice girl, so the typical bar-style ice they used wasn't my favorite. We ordered a piece of the chocolate cake to go and it was laughable how small the slice was. Our server was friendly, and our food came out fast, so that was a plus. It felt like a corporate-run restaurant with factory-style food preparation. I'd rather spend my money on more local-vibe haunts.

Yelp
Mussel & Burger Bar makes the best burgers in Louisville. That fact was true when I first reviewed it in 2016, and it's true now nearly a decade later. Friends came into town, and they wanted to get lunch downtown. M&BB was an easy recommendation to make. I had to get my usual, the C.E.O. Burger, made with gruyere cheese, truffle aioli, caramelized onions, house mixed greens and oven-roasted tomatoes, with steak truffle fries on the side. And I'm happy to say that M&BB is consistently good. This burger is decadent, juicy, take-a-nap-after-your-meal good. And those fries? Not to be ignored. You get pretty much an entire potato among the few giant fries you get. My friend and I also split the Blue Cheese Beer Pancetta mussels. You could make an entire meal from even the appetizer portion. These are so flavorful and fun to eat. Our service has always been prompt and our food expertly made. M&BB has become a Louisville staple for good reason!

Yelp
We were looking for a place for lunch after leaving the Louisville Slugger Museum. This place sounded good from Yelp reviews. It was! There were six of us including our two grandsons 7 & 10. There were so many items to choose from and they all sounded delicious. I settled on BBQ burger - which had fried cheese curds, onion rings, coleslaw, pickles (which I asked to not have) and bourbon bbq sauce. It was indeed delicious land came with fries. Our son choose the special which was a Chico Chico burger. He said it was very good but it was so messy. Our daughter-in-law had the Spanish Blue burger with blue cheese, fig marmalade and some other stuff. She liked it very much and gave me a bite- yummy. My husband had the seafood sliders and loved them. One child had grilled cheese sandwich and the other had chicken tenders. It was super busy but the servers were friendly and efficient.

Yelp
Food was delicious l. I'm not gonna lie...I was skeptical about hitting up this joint. A pleasant surprise. The waiter servicing the bar side tables was spread thin. He did a good job though, no complaints. We split a bowl of the entree French mussles. The bacon wrapped dates and a salad. Would definitely go back for more mussles. We absolutely used all the bread soaking up the broth. The bacon wrapped dates were really good too. They come seated in a marinara sauce. So good This restaurant feels like a good spot to hit happy hour or drinks after work. All in all very upbeat vibe. Tables are kinda close on the bar side of the room, so prepare to get into everybody's business. Next time I'm in louiseville, I will pop back in for another bowl of mussles.

Yelp
Loved everything at Mussel and Burger! The dates in a blanket were amazing - sweet, smoky, cheesy, and gone way too fast. The mussels meunière had the perfect garlicky wine broth, and the Argentinian burger with chimichurri and crispy fries was packed with flavor. Cozy vibes, great service, and food that makes your taste buds happy!

Yelp
Went on a Sunday evening around 5pm and there was plenty of seating. The food was delicious. It was a bit pricey - 17-18 bucks a burger with fries but the burgers were delicious, unique and the fries were good too. I got the seafood burger and WOW - mouthwatering good. If you're not a huge seafood person but wanna give it a go , no worries, it doesn't taste very fishy. It's so good though. So tasty and well made. The patty has a gorgeous crust to it The spicy crabmeat aioli they have on it compliments the burger so well. The only issue is that the burger starts to fall a part really quickly creating a bit of a mess unfortunately. But the taste was just worth every penny. BANG for your buck. The service was fast and friendly. You don't need to dress up. The interior design of the place is meh. Kinda mediocre. Some random clashing design choices. Also The restroom is outside of the place - you have to walk through two sets of doorways to reach it. But these are minor nitpicks. The food is great, it's a comfortable place. Go check it out!

Yelp
Always my spot in Louisville! Love the vibe and the service is always outstanding! I sat at the bar and mingled with the tourist and business travelers and had a great time. I drank 6th Street Amber Ale and got the seafood sliders and duck fat potatoes for a meal. Great meal and great place. Your missing out you don't make MBB a go to place in downtown Louisville. Cheers!

Yelp
Stupendous experience at Mussels & Burger Bar! We are visiting from California and was nothing but impressed! From the moment we walked in, everything exceeded our expectations. Shela was our waitress, and she was absolutely amazing--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made us feel right at home and gave great recommendations. We started with the short rib nachos, and wow--every bite was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The pickled jalapeños were also a delicious addition. The Old Forester flight was a hit too--smooth, complex, and a perfect pairing for the meal. My husband's favorite was the 1910 bottle version. And the CEO burger? SO GOOD. My husband loved the aioli sauce and steak truffle fries it came with too! From the food to the service, it was all phenomenal. We are so sad we don't live here or we would be here so much more often! When you come, ask for Shela! She's amazing!!! The place feels relaxed and the music here is so nostalgic and early 2000's! We loved it!!

Yelp
I had the bbq burger. Great real beef burger with bacon, bbq, onion rings and amazing slaw. Fries are good but the burger is the star.

Yelp
When you visit Louisville ky. and visit the bourbon area don't miss this one. The restaurant has old brick and a beautiful old bar atmosphere. Service is friendly and helpful. Appetizers are so good. The small tacos are amazing. The chicken salad was fresh . Very good food.

Yelp
The service was a little dlow to start but once we got going it was great . We ordered exactly the name , Mussels and Burgers! Both were delicious!

Yelp
Their orginal orange old fashion OUTSTANDING! Wife loved the Peach smash! Mussels were on point! Their burgers also outstanding as well. Our server Lois great asset to the placd as well!

Yelp
I love the Argentinian burger (no onions extra chimichurri) The sides were all amazing. Service was awesome. The pineapple sauce with the sweet potato was delicious (I don't like too much sweet) this was just right.

Yelp
When we arrived (7.20.25) for lunch the host looked angry and off put about seating us. It took 45 minutes to get our food that was awful. My burger was over cooked, no seasoning, I had to ask for the sauce that was supposed to come with the food... The fry's that I was served were the crumbs of what was at the bottom of the bin. My husband's "special" was not as advertised. The firecracker sandwich, nope, it was sweet and not flavorful, bland. We would not go back. Hopefully the host will find a job that she can be happy at.

Yelp
Looking for a burger spot that's a little classier than most? This is it! The atmosphere is relaxed but upscale. I highly recommend the Cubano burger and cucumber apple-tini. The fries are perfectly done, crispy outside and soft inside. We've been several times and the service is always fast and friendly.
google avatar

Leslie J.

Yelp
Good and service were great! I recommend the Mediterranean lamb burger! Margarita's were on point! August our server was very gracious! This place was recommended by the owner of the Georgia Sweet Potato Pie Company!
google avatar

Yelp
I've visited this place a few times, and today I sat at the bar where the service was excellent. I ordered the wedge salad and the monthly burger special, which I believe is called the Sauqukin Don. It came topped with an egg and mixed vegetables, along with what I think was ham. The burger itself was very thick and cooked to a perfect medium. Everything was great except for the fries. Although they were presented in a can and looked appealing, they were overly oily and lacked both crunch and seasoning. I will definitely be back. A special thank you to the host for charging my phone!
google avatar

Josh W.

Yelp
I went here with a large group for a work function and they did a fantastic job. The food was good (especially the fries), the wait staff did a fantastic job keeping our orders correct, and the bartenders were amazing as well. Over all it was a very good experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Spectacular food!!! Korean BBQ wings, seafood patty, regular cheeseburger, and Mac and cheese as meals. Nice, quick service on a Saturday lunch. Easy seating. Not too noisy.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
This is a really good place-great concept that delivers the combination of upscale bar food (burgers, sandwiches and of course, mussels!) with a classic city long bar and broad cocktail list. Two of us sat towards the end of the bar on a recent Saturday evening and enjoyed our drinks and small plate shared dinner. Lamb Meatballs to start were really something-great balance of lamb and Greek flavor with marinara sauce, ricotta cheese and grilled bread. Caesar salad with anchovies was tasty, while the Blue Cheese Beer Pancetta mussels were excellent-had never had the flavors of the title items with classic wine, butter and herb broth. Good cocktails-Old Fashioned and Paper Plane in particular, and the server was the right mix of attentive, friendly and professional. Located in a high-ceiling downtown building, I'll come back for sure!

Yelp
We were in town for the weekend and hadn't planned to dine at Mussel and Burger bar but it was recommended to us more than once so we stopped in. It was pretty busy but we were easily able to get a table. Our server was on it even though he was managing many large tables. Our food came out quickly and our drinks were tasty. Their menu had a great variety of items, sure to satisfy a variety of eaters. I got the elote and nachos (weird combo, I know) but both were really good! Others got burgers, calamari, wedge salad, etc. We all enjoyed our meals and were happy we decided to stop in!
google avatar

Yelp
We're in town for a quick visit and this restaurant was highly recommended by the hotel staff. We started off with a nice glass of wine and an appetizer of mussels: classic French style. Then for our next course we split a Caesar salad. We were a bit taken aback by the size, but it was very good. We had the anchovies on the side. The dressing was almost like a vinaigrette consistency which was very light. It was lovely. We also split the local burger. It was amazing, but the real star were the potatoes. I'd happily come back just for more mussels and the potatoes! Service was prompt. Perhaps a bit too prompt? But that is more of a personal issue. Our server was wonderful though! She was attentive and helpful! Walking in the place felt a bit more upscale. But it's quite humble and comfortable. The food is definitely upscale though! Fresh and very very delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
A new favorite in Louisville. Do yourself a favor, throw some fries into your mussel sauce and let them soak, then spoon them into your mouth like it's a soup. Mussels were fresh, and you can't go wrong with fries on the side. A really lovely Manhattan too. I'll be back!!
google avatar

Shelby T.

Yelp
They have gluten free buns!!!! And one of the better gf buns I've had! Note - the only gluten free side is steamed vegetables which wasn't really appealing.

Yelp
We stopped in on a recent road trip. It is a very trendy chic restaurant and hubby and I show up in "road trip comfy clothes", so I felt that we were a little underdressed. But the staff was awesome and welcomed us in without hesitation. Hubby got a kick out of the taquitos that were REALLY small tacos compared to the usual rolled taquitos we are used too. They were small but packed with huge flavor. Hubby had the mussels which I didn't exactly try, but I did have some of the delicious sauce that they were in. My goodness, it was garlic heaven. I had a burger and roasted fingerling potatoes. It was juicy and cooked perfectly. It was during the Derby so hubby had a mint julep. It was both of our first time trying that particular cocktail. Hubby loved it! We are talking about coming back for a longer stay. If we do, we will definitely make it a point to come here again! Cheers!

Yelp
Looking for a classy yet relaxing spot to grab a bite? Look no further as Mussel and Burger Bar is great! As a small (6) group we came for an earlier lunch and were welcomed with a smile and a choice of tables. The waitress, from the jump, was kind and got right to business after a warm introduction. Being on "vacation" we sampled a few beers and a few apps before getting to the meal. Naturally we favored the mussels and burgers because, well, why wouldn't you at a place named as such?! Both offerings were tasty and not a single complaint or critique was heard from anyone. In fact, all comments made were about how stuffed we all were at the conclusion of the meal. Give M&BB a try and you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Sophia P.

Yelp
Had to chance to eat here while bourbon tasting and we really needed something on our stomachs. So we stopped by to eat and this place had really good food!! I tried the veggie beats burger with the sweet potato fries and yummy!!! Omg it melted in my mouth. Was sooo good! When we arrived we didn't wait at all to be seated but we came a bit early before the dinner rush. Service was fast and our server was great! The ambiance is your typical American style restaurant. Only downside is the only bathrooms are in the hotel lobby area. So you have to walk through the hotel to get to the bathrooms. Other than that we had yummy food and will be back for more!
google avatar

Luigi B.

Yelp
This is more than just a burger place. Actually, one of the best burgers I've had. But for me hanging with friends, having fantastic service, in a retro type atmosphere that is seriously inviting, makes me wish I could go to Louisville more often. Great place and great food, run don't walk to get there!
google avatar

Mo G.

Yelp
Great find in downtown Louisville Kentucky, who would have thought mussels and burgers. Delicious food, great service and atmosphere. We arrived and was promptly seating, dining area was spacious and also had a bar area. The only downside was the restrooms were out side in a hallway within the building, but overalll This will be a spot I'd go to again for sure...chef kiss

Yelp
Ambiance and the mussels were definitely the best part, totally 5 stars each. Service was a 4; the waitress was good but she didn't crack a smile or try to make us feel welcome at any point (I guess she was just robotic, but at least she stopped back often enough). We shared meals and my order of ponzu mussels was delicious, and the duck fat fingerling potatoes were good. My hubby ordered the mushroom philly sandwich with short rib and it was sad, you mainly tasted bread and onion but not the mushroom medley or beef, and the truffle pommes frites he selected to go with it might have been tasty if they weren't so soggy and limp. We pretty much ate my meal and left most of his behind. The lemon berry cake was decent, but nothing to write home about. All in all, due to the ambiance we'd probably go back and just order a couple mussel entrees . . . the service was good so we'd just hope for a server that was less tuned-out.

Yelp
What do you do when you have a day off and you find yourself in downtown Louisville? Eat & day drink. If that is your speed you cannot go wrong with Mussel & Burger Bar. Forget the fact that they've been featured on the Food Network. Forget that they've won Kentucky's best burger at least three times. Forget that they grind their burger meat fresh in house... Actually, don't forget that stuff. It's all important. Service is amazing, ambiance makes me think of a posh London Pub. Stop in, eat, drink, & be merry!

Yelp
Had lunch at Mussel & Burger Bar Downtown, and it was fantastic. The menu has a great selection of unique burgers and mussels, all with creative flavors that stood out. I tried the Local Burger and l it was cooked to perfection--juicy, flavorful, and topped with delicious ingredients. The caesar salad was a great side, with anchovies as well. The atmosphere was casual yet stylish, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed lunch. Nice interior colors. Service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall great experience. Found parking on the street. However it is metered so be on the lookout for that. Highly recommend if you're in downtown Louisville.

Yelp
Fantastic food here. We had mussels and burgers. Chorizo burger was awesome. Very unique items on the menu--it was hard to choose. Bartender was very nice and handled his bar expertly (Terry).

Yelp
Good - generic tbh. Had the CEO burger and the fish sliders Fish sliders were excellent. Better than burgers. Burger itself was ok. Not memorable, if I returned, I wouldn't order it. Service: great - thank you deshawn Ambience: not too noisy. Good date place but not a quiet romantic vibe Would I return? To try something else. But, it's. It super memorable (to me) . I DID NOT TRY THE MUSSELS.

Yelp
When the juice runs down your chin, you know that it's good. Hard to find a restaurant that grinds the beef for their burgers fresh, but when you find one, you order the classics cheeseburger. The atmosphere on a weekend evening may be amazing. I stopped in on Easter Sunday and it was mellow. My server was attentive, and the food came out quickly. My burger was flavorful and cooked to the right temp. I'd have given 5 stars, but the fries (pomme frites) were limp and lackluster. Definitely one of the 5 best burgers that I have ever had.
google avatar

Sarah W.

Yelp
We visited for an early dinner on a Thursday evening by 5 PM, so parking and seating were fairly easy for this visit. Our group of 5 was seated in a private dining room near the back of the restaurant, which was a nice place to be to have easy conversation. Background music was at a nice volume and great genre (Stevie Nicks, Elton John, the Doors), which we all noticed throughout our visit. I ordered a mushroom burger cooked medium with a side of sweet potato fries, which was okay. The burger was extremely crumbly and fell apart when I picked it up and was not very flavorful. The fries were perfect and were accompanied by a sweet heat pineapple dipping sauce. Service was attentive, a tad bit intrusive. We also skedaddled as soon as possible because we felt somewhat rushed with multiple waitstaff walking past and staring at us, which was unusual compared to any of our other many group outings.

Yelp
Another when we are in Louisville we will be back restaurant! The wedge salad and chicken wings were amazing! The southerner was by far our favorite burger.
google avatar

Cindy B.

Yelp
It's been a long time since I wished I could give a place more than 5 stars but oh my gosh today is the day! First of all, the salted caramel old fashioned was the absolute best old fashioned I have ever had. And I mean ever. I am still dreaming of it. I would come here just for the drink. But luckily I wouldn't have to since the food was remarkable as well. We had the 4 cheese Mac n cheese, the dip sandwich and the turkey club. I dipped everything we had in the cheese from the Mac n cheese and ate until I was pretty miserable cause it was so delicious! The fries were great and the dip was heavenly! Thin sliced meat that was perfectly seasoned, dipped in deliciously savory ay jus. The turkey sandwich was awesome as well. It's a big place and we were seated and served quickly. I would highly recommend this place and I plan to come back every time I visit Louisville.

Yelp
Burgers and mussels in Kentucky. Interesting combination. I wondered in after a trip to the Muhammad Ali center. It is a big place, kind of loud, but friendly and relaxed. I ordered the Argentinian. The description "Thick cut provolone cheese, caramelized onions, chorizo Argentino, chimichurri sauce, housed mixed greens, and oven-roasted tomatoes; pommes frites". The burger was good. Though made it out of the kitchen without the chorizo. I didn't immediately notice so I didn't mention it. The fries were tasty, but were not hot. That was a bit of a bummer. It was not a busy time, so I attribute it to a bit of oversight. It was still tasty and the service was awesome.

Yelp
I had to visit Mussel and Burger twice in a span of a few days to make sure it was as good as I thought it was... And it was. Both times I have a apprizer order of mussels, the moles basquaise mussels and a Chorizo or Seafood Burger. Both burgers were most excellent. The seafood burger is now my favorite. But since Mussel is first in their name, mussels were the best. I could not stop eating them and then enjoying the sauce with the provided bread. The servers have been very professional and courteous, the various mixed drinks myself and the people who have dined with me have been fantastic. I am looking for an excuse to go back. I cannot promise I wil try anything different. What I have had has been way to good.

Yelp
Had a really good dinner with colleagues but I didn't get to try the mussels : ( Since the dinner was hosted by our leader, appetizers that were super shareable were selected. I don't think the person who selected appetizers wasn't a fan of seafood, so we ended up getting charcuterie, meatballs, and the small tacos. All were tasty but I wish the mussels had made the list. For our mains, people selected from the list of burgers and some got the mushroom burger, seafood and one that was more classic either bacon. I got the Mediterranean burger medium (it came out well) with sweet potato fries. I also got a side of tzatziki to dip my fries in. Everything was good. I forgot to mention drinks...I tried a sangria that was really refreshing while others got wine and beer. Service was wonderful! Can't remember her name but she was awesome.

Yelp
Dee was great!! He was so friendly. Made genuine recommendations and was patient with me as I modified my order an asked lots of questions. The food was delicious!!! The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because both our apps came out lukewarm. I loved the pineapple sauce with the sweet potato fries. They don't have regular ranch only "jalapeño ranch" but I didn't taste the heat at all. My short rib sandwich was amazing. The meat was melting in my mouth. It was soooooo good. I can't wait to visit Louisville again

Yelp
Mussels and Burger Time !!! I was galavanting around Downtown Louisville checking our cultural and historic sites and some Bourbon Trail distilleries. After hours of walking around, I was hungry and stumbled across a restaurant that had two of my favourite food groups, Burgers and Mussels. Please note that yes this establishment does specialize in Burgers and Mussels but they do have other items on the menu. Of course, me being me I had to have mussels and a burger so I went in to have dinner. The Mussel and Burger bar is a very chic and fancy place with an extensive bourbon list and other drinks. Once I was at my table I had a chance to look over the menu and with some advice from my server, I decided on Moules Basquaise a Spanish-style mussel offering made with Spanish chorizo, olive oil, seafood sofrito broth, piquillo peppers, mild chilli flakes, garlic and onions. I was advised to get the full dinner size as the dinner size has a few more mussels than the appetizer size. I enjoyed the dish so much that I found myself drinking the broth right out of the bowl of course when I thought no one was looking. Next up I ordered the 'Good Ole Bacon Burger'. This burger had Cheddar cheese, a couple of slices of thick Nueske's bacon, red onions, tomato, and lettuce on a pretzel bun with a side of Pommel frites. This was a delicious burger and I enjoyed the fresh cut and piping hot fries served with a side of mayo and ketchup. I skipped the appetizers but will be back to try some of them. Another great downtown Louisville Foodie mecca that I highly recommend,
