In a sea (no pun intended) of seafood of restaurants. Mussels grill does its best to stand out and does do a great job of it. Their service is great though oddly enough, they do not provide coasters with your drinks. The interiors is good but does little to stand out from every other modern restaurant in the area. The food was great especially the tuna tartare, the mussels were good too. The oysters were very acidic, might be their east coast selection but I found it lacking compared to other contemporary restaurants.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming restaurant with exceptional service alone. Ramon, the manager, and Evan, the waiter, truly went above and beyond to make my dining experience memorable and comfortable. Ramon's warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for the evening, and Evan's attentive service throughout the meal was top-notch. The ambiance of the restaurant was chill and inviting, with elegant decor and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The menu offered a delightful selection of dishes, each expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. From the appetizers to the main course, every bite was a culinary delight. The burger was amazing! I even ate the lettuce which I never do but the presentation and freshness was so pretty, I just had to and I was not disappointed. Ramon and Evan's attention to detail and genuine care for their guests was evident throughout the evening, and it's no surprise that I will be returning to this restaurant in the near future. Thank you, Ramon and Evan, for a wonderful dining experience in a chill and inviting setting.

Loved this place. Big but cozy restaurant for delicious clams (we had the thai curry and it was a fantastic surprise), beef was perfectly cooked and nice presentation and the berry pavlova (which we share between 3) was delicious! I really recomend this place for happy hour or any time.

We went here on a holiday weekend and it was fantastic! We had the curry mussels which I think I devoured the broth it was so good!! Pizza was good and I had a delicious Paloma. Was a great spot for a quick bite and and drink. We liked it because it felt like a quality restaurant, not some chain restaurant. Great view of Glebe Road and great service we will definitely come back for dinner!

Google
I ordered take out so I can’t really speak to the service etc but I am beyond disappointed with what we got and ironically the name of the restaurant is what we ordered .. the bacon mussels and the white wine mussels. They are shriveled with no taste. Worst mussels I have ever had. Ever. The broth is terrible as well. Watery no seasoning no white wine cream taste in that one. The other one tastes like a bouillon cube. I usually never review negatively but I’m starving and annoyed and they’re more expensive than where I usually get mussels in Clarendon. We got two orders of mussels and it was $60.

This place is a gem. Not super expensive, the mussels and oysters were fire. Nice to sit down have a drink and enjoy the meal. Definitely recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Mussel Bar & Grill Restaurant and was served by Omar. His exceptional service made our evening truly enjoyable. Omar was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. He ensured that our needs were met promptly and with a smile. Omar’s professionalism and warm demeanor significantly enhanced our dining experience. Highly recommend asking for Omar when you visit!

Google
We had dinner with friends and ordered a Caesar salad and three different types of mussels: Green Thai curry, Mediterranean, and white wine sauce. The Thai sauce was by far the best. The white wine sauce could have used a little more acidity and salt. None of us was wild about the flavor of the Mediterranean - especially the sausages. Bread was excellent. Service was good. The staff tried but I think there was a lack of training about mussels and spoons. We had one spoon per dish for serving but no soup spoons to eat the broths. That was disappointing. We did ask for spoons but the server didn’t really understand why we needed more and they didn’t arrive.

Yelp
Visited Mussel Bar & Grille on N. Glebe Road in Ballston on a Sunday for lunch. Our server was Gina and she was extremely helpful and welcoming on our first visit. She provided sound guidance on appetizers, entrees and dessert--almost forgot the beer! We sat in the cool bar area in a booth with a nice view of hectic Ballston. We started with French Onion Soup and Andalusian Gaspacho. No disappointments here, but the French Onion was a world beater! For our first entree we had a half order of the Mussels, Mediterranean w/ Merguez Sausage, Goat Cheese, Smoked Tomato, Harissa Aioli & Cilantro. I was not familiar with the Merguez Sausage and it was a bit over the top spicy wise for my palette (my fault of course for not knowing). But the Goat Cheese addition was a real pleaser. Our second entree was the incredible LInguini Bolonese, which includes Heritage Pork, Beef, & Veal, San Marzano Tomatoes, Herbs, and Rocca Cheese. Flavor extraordinare! Desserts were Hazelnut Mouse and Basque Cheesecake. Love the Mouse and the Cheesecake was much lighter and gooey than the New York version. Kudos to Gina for making our visit fun and entertaining. Go see our new friends at Mussel Bar & Grille--you will not regret it!

Yelp
Checked this place out for national oyster day!! They had some great deals, like $1 oysters and $8 oyster shooters. We ordered 1.5 dozen oysters. They were super refreshing and had zero complaints for the price. Also tried out the blue crab dip (SO yummy--ended up asking for more bread), the classic white wine mussels (good sauce but some mussels had sand in them), and the seared scallops (SO tender, and cauliflower mash was delicious). I need to give a shoutout to the sweet potato fries--I could not stop eating them! They are European style and come with mayo-based dips. Perfect for sweet & savory lovers. Cute bar concept with bottles as decor. The only thing I would knock half a star off for was service and bathroom cleanliness. Our hostess and food runner were both great, but our server was not the easiest to find. It wasn't the busiest, either...our server could have been a bit more attentive. A bit on the pricier side but understandable for a seafood bar. Overall a satiating dining experience, especially for the soul! Would love to come back for happy hour sometime. Great food, great vibes. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I had such a weird experience at this place that I have a hard time knowing what to write for this review First of all, it is worth mentioning that the place is slightly upscale and the prices reflect that. Now onto the review... The menu is an eclectic collection of seafood dishes (such as a small variety of different mussel dishes) and random other basic American food as well such as a burger, a chicken dish, etc. Once my party took a look over the menu and decided what we wanted the manager approached us to take our drink order (which was kind of strange to start off with), but since we didn't want drinks we asked if we could just order our food. He said that he had never took someone's food order before (?), but that he thought he could do it...anyway... Every other table got a bread basket with a ton of bread in it, but when we asked for one we got a tiny basket with 4 small pieces of bread in it My GF got a burger, and asked for it medium, but it was incredibly undercooked I got the signiture mussel dish, and it was very underwhelming and flavorless. It did come with a side of pretty tasty fries however Also, when I attempted to pay the check they forgot to charge my card, and therefore brought me the same piece of paper with our table's tab just with a pen in it now (but nowhere for me to sign)

Yelp
3.5 stars. The mussels weren't fresh, and the white wine sauce wasn't good either, and that's the biggest knock here. I've eaten mussels across the DC area - Beck, Et Voila, La Chaumiere, Granville Moores, and other places - and these were among the least tasty/fresh of any of them. And for the price, you deserve to have good ones. The white wine sauce tasted watery, especially in comparison to other restaurants. It's unfortunate because I really wanted to like this place. On the positive side, they have an amazing Belgian beer selection, and the service was good. FYI you can bring your own wine for a $25 corkage fee. The dessert was very good - pistachio crème brûlée.

Richard L.

Yelp
Don't know why the reviews here are so low but granted whenever we come here we ONLY get the mussels. The mussels however are always delicious. After the first time we realized that 1/2 pot was enough per person (plus an appetizer) so we always sit at the bar to take advantage of the cheaper prices. I've been here 3 times and have never had a bad mussel in my batch so that in of itself deserves some kudos. Overall if we're craving mussels, will definitely be back!

Rebecca H.

Yelp
The oysters I had here tasted fresh and delicious. The delirium tremens beer was good too. I would definitely come back for the oysters and would also want to try the mussels next time.

Yelp
Delicious! If your in the Arlington area try this place, we were going to go across street to Silver Diner and glad we did not! I ordered the lamb dinner, cauliflower, beet salad and old fashion. Everything was delicious and perfect temperature. Staff was amazing ! Friendly and professional. Bathrooms were interesting, huge doors, that have buttons on the outside that say vacant or occupied for the restroom.

Yelp
Went for HH mainly just to try the food. Either the HH time (2-7pm) listed on their website is wrong or their bartender was wrong (3-7pm). Thankfully I arrived close to 3pm. The bartender didn't seem to know much about the menu when I asked questions about the size and portions of the mussels and oysters. You can order their oysters in any quantity, so I tried just one before committing that one oyster didn't even come with a lemon and I had to ask for accompaniments. I ended up ordering eight more about half more on the smaller medium size which I prefer and a few were a bit larger. If you're looking forward consistent size of oyster, this is not your place however, these house oysters are two dollars apiece in happy hour. Moving onto the muscles for $18 you get a decent size cast-iron pot. I asked the bartender if he had tried any of the flavors of mussels they offer and he said he had had them all. I opted for the Thai curry. It has good flavor and heat. Can't complain about that! However, this restaurant really needs to ensure their staff asks if folks have any food allergies. Perhaps it is written on the full menu But on the happy hour menu, it did not say that the Thai curry mussels come with peanuts in the dish. Thankfully, I do not have a peanut allergy and I enjoyed the textural crunch. However, if I did the restaurant, would either be out this money or potentially open themselves to a larger issue by someone having an allergic reaction. In terms of the decor and ambience there's nothing special about this place. It's a typical wannabe Belgian style bar. The bar itself is fairly large. The space is open. If you're looking for good happy hour beer, happy hour oysters, or discounted mussels, there are significantly better restaurants in the area for the price especially. I probably won't be back.

Sabrina G.

Yelp
The food was immaculate! Everything was fresh. The only down fall was the crib dip wasn't a lot for the price but it was amazing! My son enjoyed his Mac and cheese mussels! We had the mimosas of all flavors. The first one is $8.00 and $1.00 afterwards. They got us on our heads! The restaurant is big and spacious. Everyone was so sweet and respectful! I'm definitely going back.

Yelp
Went with a medium sized group and the first thing we mentioned: is there a theme to this place? It kind of seemed all over? And we weren't entirely sure if a few things on the menu were spelt incorrectly -- kind of an odd place. The food was OK. We ordered three mussel dishes and they apparently made too much, so we ended up with six. They were free, but also just very ok. No one was amazed by any variety we got. A few of us got steak frites, and none of them were cooked how we ordered. I know it's not a steak house, but some kind of quality would've been better than what we got. Won't be returning, and don't see why anyone else would bother, frankly.

Yelp
Miss Mussel Bar in Bethesda but apparently they are coming back so went to Arlington, VA and it was worth the drive. Great server and large establishment. They even have a parking garage and you can get your ticket validated. Mussel portion was large so we shared and it was plenty for two. Outdoor seating also available and after 8pm live music started. We had a fun night out.

Yelp
We had a fantastic meal tonight. In fact, if I could pick a meal setup that I don't get nearly enough of, it's this. First off, shoutout to our server who was super helpful and friendly. She offered up suggestions on the menu, refilled water and just acted like we were or could be regulars (we weren't). The food was terrific. The oysters were just what you would want. Medium sized, mild with just loads of flavor. We had the duxbury which are really among my favorite. Then we split a mussels which were huge and great the share. Sauce was savory with bacon and mushroom. Do not miss the fries. They are a specimen and really a perfect example of how to make them. And they come with a trio of dipping sauces too! We also got a mushroom and bacon flatbread. Really went well with the mussels. The dessert was the apple galette. So good! Really can't ask for more. Loved this meal.

Yelp
Since Mussel Bar & Grille was conveniently located across the street from our hotel, we decided to drop by because we were too pooped to venture too far from our hotel for an early dinner. It turns out that we made a great decision to dine at Mussel Bar & Grille. First of, our server/bartender was absolutely amazing because she made sure that we taken care of throughout our meal. For our dining pleasure, we went with the Roasted Beet & Burrata Salad, Fried Calamari (served with yellow curry aioli, harissa aioli, and the Thai Curry Mussels. While everything was delicious, I have to say that the combination of the yellow curry and harissa aioli really elevated the fried calamari. The mussels were really delicious and fresh, but I wish the green curry + coconut milk + peanut sauce for the mussels had a bit more flavor. The sauce wasn't bad, but it tasted a bit watered down. Other than that minor complaint, all of our food was amazing. The grille has an extensive cocktail and spirits list. If memory serves me correctly, I think I counted at 15+ types of bourbon, rye whiskey, tequila, and scotch. In addition to the long list of cocktails and spirits, the restaurant has a MASSIVE amount of beers on draft. In terms of adult beverages, I think everyone in your party will find something that they will like. I even was feeling experimental and decided to try the oyster shooter gin martini. This wasn't the actual name of the cocktail, but I forgot the real name. The martini is prepared with a horseradish-infused gin and served with a raw oyster. I was not a huge fan of the is beverage because I thought that the horseradish and olive juice flavors really did not go hand in hand. But, hey, YOLO. Looking back, I wish that I asked to try the horseradish-infused gin alone because I think that would be great for a standard gin&soda or gin&tonic. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Mussel Bar & Grill and hope to return when we are in that part of Arlington.

Yelp
Food and service was phenomenal. We ordered the Thai curry mussels, old bay wings, crab dip and mushroom flatbread and all tasted fantastic! I cannot expressed enough how amazing the service was. We sat at the bar and the bar manager was tentative, polite, down to earth, easy to talk to and friendly! The bus boy/person was on point! He came around diligently doing an exceptional job. Would seriously recommend and will be returning customers! Thank you again for a wonderful evening!

Yelp
Stopped by Mussel Bar & Grille for happy hour on a Wednesday afternoon. I had been to this restaurant many, many years ago and figured I'd stop by to enjoy a few appetizers and cocktails. The space is big on the inside but this day we opted to sit outside and enjoy the weather. I started with the white seasonal sangria which was tasty. We then decided to share the herb butter oysters and the Kennett Square Mushroom flatbread. I have to be honest the oysters weren't my favorite. The presentation was a little off putting (you will see once you look at my pictures). I think I'll go with another flavor the next time. As for the flatbread it was hands down one of the best flatbreads I've had in a very long time. We both agreed we could only eat that for the rest of our lives and we would be content lol. Overall I had a great experience at Mussel Bar & Grille and will definitely be back to try some of the other happy hour menu items.

Yelp
Wonder meal with my co-workers. We were seated promptly upon arrival. The hostess was really friendly and accommodating. Our server was attentive and served all dishes promptly. Our party started with the Blue Crab Dip and Calamari. We enjoyed both dishes but especially the Blue Crab Dip. For our entrees, we ordered scallops with risotto and the Thai Chili Mussels. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. We highly recommend the scallops.

Yelp
Service is great and you can't beat. Their happy hour is every day of the week running until 7 PM. Definitely try out their bivalves as they're only a two dollars a piece during happy hour!

Yelp
It is sad to write this review because my husband and I have been patrons of this establishment for over 5 years. We came here for a date night recently only to witness the funeral of this loved restaurant. When ordering our usual mussels, we were confused and dismayed to see that they were gummy, stringy and chewy. They wouldn't come out of their shells without tearing into shreds and suddenly it clicked . These mussels were not fresh, they were not good. Searching to find a mussel that tasted right we were only left with disappointment as we realized they had stopped serving fresh mussels. The sauce was bland and boring, asking for bread and fries only to try and leave the meal satiated in some way. No amount of side cocktail or desert could fix this inexcusable faux pas in the quality of the mussels of THE mussel bar. Their sign should now read frozen mussel bar so no one has to pay for this insult to their wallet ever again. Even when we brought it up to the new general manager he didn't want to hear feedback, he just wanted to comp us desert - probably knows they are serving dead or frozen mussels. Although our waiter Omar was diligent, sweet and kind. I can't help but thinking their days are numbered if they continue to use essentially dead product to propel a lively mussel bar forward.

Samantha L.

Yelp
Mussel Bar is my favorite restaurant in the DMV. I was sad that their Bethesda location closed and missed them so much we had to visit their Arlington location. While waiting for a friend, my fiance and I enjoyed food and drinks at the bar. Dave and Melvin took care of us. I enjoyed a White Seasonal Sangria, Barrel Aged Old Fashioned, and Limoncello Sparkler. We shared a Kennett Square Mushroom Flatbread, which consisted of smoked mushrooms, bechamel, mozzarella, truffle vinaigrette, thick bacon/pork belly, and arugula, a dozen of $1 MD Sweet Oysters, which was served with lemon, cocktail sauce, and shallot vinaigrette, and a pot of White Wine Mussels with Truffle Fries. Everything was just as delicious as I remembered it to be.

Lisa D.

Yelp
Went for dinner with new friends. They liked the mussels. I had oysters, very good. Service also good and the monastery beer the guys really liked. They should have had better champagne by the glass options though for an oyster place. Very good though! Great cocktail!

Mia C.

Yelp
I hate to give this place such a low rating because the staff was nice. But that's a full star for the staff and a full star for the nice clams we ordered. Everything else was not that good. The clam linguine was so watery and had no flavor, apart from the clams, which were good. The linguine noodles were cooked well but tasted like plain noodles because the sauce just slid right off. Also I'm not sure why you would put radishes in a pasta. Kohlrabi radishes that were spiral cut. Why? Who wants crunchy pasta? The steak was ok but very small and the fries were oily and limp. Also cold salad on the same plate as warm food gave a bit of a stomachache. Red wine and prosecco were ok. Red wine had a lot of tannins. Overall I think their seafood is pretty fresh but the preparation of everything is just lacking and prices are too high.

Yelp
Robert Wiedmaier has done it again! This renowned DC chef captivated my attention when I dined at Marcel's. I am glad he opened more restaurants. Each dish bursted with flavor. I loved having Belgian beer options on tap. I ordered a Pilsner and wheat beer. If I wasn't driving, I would have had more! My only complaint is the lack of preparation for NFL playoff Sunday. The restaurant opened at 3 pm but the bar was not fully operating for about 15 minutes. I was ready to drink and eat but had to wait. I'll cut them some slack due to Omicron. That said, there was a rag left neatly on the counter. That should have been removed the night prior.

Jazzy I.

Yelp
Was in Arlington for work over the weekend. Had never had Mussels before, but a coworker convinced me to try it out so I did. Not sure if they're like this everywhere, but at Mussels B & G they are fantastic. I had the Mediterranean and I couldn't have been happier. The only thing that rivaled the meal was the service. Our server was Evan and he was awesome. Very attentive and informed. My coworker and I had some catching up to do so we stayed for an extra drink and Evan couldn't have been more accommodating. The atmosphere is young urban and hoppin. Highly recommend for the food, service and atmosphere.

Yelp
We were in Arlington for a funeral and stayed across the street. We searched food near us and Mussel popped up. We were happy they were open on a Sunday. We sat at the bar and Melvin, the lovely bartender, served us the most delicious martinis. He also introduced us to a new liqueur called Amaro and gave us a taste of three different kinds! We had white wine mussels that were fantastic and the mushroom flatbread. It was kind of hard to eat mussels at the bar because they are served in a 12 inch cast iron skillet that took up a lot of room. We went back again the next night and sat outside. The service was okay, not stellar. I had the bacon and mushroom mussels that were fantastic as well. We had very fresh oysters, and the scallops, which were cooked perfectly. If you crave fresh shellfish, this is your place!

Scarlett D.

Yelp
I've never heard of the this place but a friend and I were in the area and googled food near us and this place popped up. I am so glad we stumbled upon this place its simple and the interior is nice and beautiful. The menu was simple and not too overwhelming where you couldn't decide on a choice. We got the white wine mussels, crab dip, oysters and Mac. The service was outstanding and pretty fast. The food was spectacular. Mac and cheese was great but I fell in love with the dip. I can't wait to come back! I will be bringing my mom here the next time she comes to visit me.

Frank V.

Yelp
Best quality of mussels in town. Never had them be overcooked and are always plump, big mussels. The oysters are a great presentation and flavor. The oysters are huge intagram photos worthy. They have a huge selection of beer. Nice happy hours and very friendly bar staff. I'm definitely coming back soon.

Nancy R.

Yelp
The mussel bar has a lot to offer.  The location is roomy and convenient with an underground lot just around the corner (if you buy something at Total Beverage on the way in or out - they will validate.)  The service is very friendly and the portions are very generous.  We ordered a selection of half pots (one per person) and ended up taking half home because we were happily full (looking forward to eating these leftovers tonight!)  Most of all, the food is tasty and fresh.  We did not find one unopened mussel in our pots nor any dry ones.  Every one was plump and juicy and the variety of preparations were tasty and varied.  To start off, we ordered the fried Brussel sprouts with bacon.  Super yum!  The three mussel mains we tried were the mushroom and bacon, the Mediterranean and the Thai curry.  All were different and all were good.  The only problem was fitting all the pots on the table and then not hitting arms as we crossed over each other to reach the different options.  For sides, we added the regular and the sweet potato fries.  Both were very crispy and well prepared.  And - they come with a trio of really good dipping sauces.  Add on top of all this, loaves of crusty, crunch bread to dip in all the mussels sauces and you have some very happy diners!

Yelp
Single hair really can ruin everything also service was so so. ( she was so rushed ) Wouldn't return

Yelp
I had a so-so experience here and may go back to try again. I went to the bar for happy hour and was fairly ignored by the bartender, but he was the only one working a fairly full bar. Had the crab dip and the HH oysters. The oysters were fresh but flavorless, so do not recommend. The crab dip was tasty and would eat again. Went to sit at a table for dinner and got a Caesar salad and mussels with bacon and mushrooms. The mussels were awesome and the salad was good, if not a bit pricey for what you get. The waiter was not very friendly and it wasn't the most pleasant dining experience. Overall, it was ok and I would possibly go again to give it another chance, but I'm not out here telling people they have to go to Mussel Bar

Yelp
Located in the Ballston area in Arlington - there's some street parking and some garages around. There's a parking garage at the Ballston mall that is $1 if you're parked there under 3 hours. We made a reservation but it wasn't very busy here on a Monday night. The food was amazing but the service was just a bit lacking. Took some time for our server to come to our table. Not much of a greeting, just asked us if we had a water preference. I ordered the Jackie & Tito's Passion Mule. When I ordered, I asked for the Passion Mule and he asked twice which one I was referring to and I pointed to the menu. I had a couple questions regarding a certificate I had but I ended up speaking to the manager who our server asked to come by to answer. The manager informed us of the specialty cocktail and the dinner special as well. Took some time for our server to come by with our water and take my boyfriend's drink order [he wasn't ready when I ordered my drink]. My drink was good, got a little tart at the end but you got that kick from the jalapeño. Server stopped by our table with drinks but got the table and just stood there and we indicated we were ready to order. We had to repeat our order a couple times and I didn't notice until we had left the establishment that our side of Fried Brussel sprouts were forgotten. We weren't charged for it so it was fine. For our appetizer, we ordered the slow cooked and charred octopus. It was good but a smaller portion that I anticipated for the price. It was a tad bit too chewy but the flavors were great. I ordered the Thai Curry Mussels with Truffle Fries and my boyfriend ordered the White Wine Mussles with Sweet Potato Fries. Mussels come out in a cast iron and the fries were crispy and delicious accompanied with 3 sauces. Overall, I did love the food but I was just a little disappointed in our service. Manager was great and friendly. Good portions on the Mussels as well.

Yelp
First time here. I wish I came sooner. The food, drinks, and service are fantastic. I had the filet mignon and she had the salmon. The food came out perfect. The steak was literally one of the best ones I have had.

Jen R.

Yelp
I have been to this restaurant twice since moving to the area, and I really like it. Both times I've sat at the bar and gotten great service. The first time I had their brussel sprouts and the Mac and cheese. The Brussels were amazing!! I loved them. The Mac and cheese was very good, though seemed to be more of a Gruyère cheese base, while I prefer a traditional American cheddar cheese variant. But it was still yummy. They also offer bread...definitely get it! The next time I went with a girlfriend, and I had the steak frites. Yum!! It was delicious. My friend had one of their mussel dishes, (the Thai mussels, I think), and she was really happy with her meal, too. They have a nice wine list and a good cocktail selection. One of these times when I go back I want to try one of them. I like the open atmosphere of the place, and I look forward to sitting outside when the weather gets warmer. Definitely recommend!

Carl W.

Yelp
Great mussels, and a nice selection of sauces. The service was fast and friendly and everyone was friendly. Great selection of Belgian beers too. Despite being happy hour and a popular location, the ambience was good for conversation. I would like to go back more often but it is t an area I visit a lot. Highly recommended.

Christine B.

Yelp
Really enjoy going here for happy hour. The half pot of mussels is huge and they have a nice selection of drinks. It's a seafood restaurant obviously but not a ton of options on HH for non fish eaters. My friend did enjoy the flatbread. Always overlook this place but should go more often. Service at the bar was great and our bartender was really nice.

Yelp
A few weeks ago, I dined inside with Bo. After such a great experience, I returned with out of town guests, dining with Haydan on the patio! One of my guests has a lot of dietary restrictions, and Haydan was the PERFECT person to help us. We were able to make a lot of changes to a dish to fit his needs, while not compromising on taste! Now that I know the patio is dog friendly I'll definitely be returning to take advantage of the happy hour oyster deals with my dog! Beautiful patio space with lovely plants.

They have an amazing happy hour. You can order 1/2 mussels and a glass of wine for $20! The white wine mussels are the most delicious dish I've ever tried in my life. The manager Melvin and Aaron are amazing. Please check this place out !

Yelp
The food Looks good and the ambience does too but the taste does NOT deliver. I ordered the mussel frites and was disappointed by the lack of flavor. The mussels were over cooked and the broth was extremely bland that I wished I could ask for some salt. We also tried scallops risotto and it was likewise bland and Unmemorable. Same thing with the steak frites. The best part of this place would be the unique beer selection and the French fries so I guess it would be ok for a happy hour. I personally would not come back.

Yelp
My 2 girlfriends and I had a great time here last night! We sat at the bar and was taken care of by Jamie the bartender. She was very sweet, attentive and provided I arrived about 10 minutes before the end of happy hour and opted for 3 of the happy hour food specials (dont judge me)! I specifically came to try out the mussels but ended up ordering them last and took them home to go. I had a glass of wine and an exotic mango mule. My friends ordered mussels, the pizza and truffle fries, wine and a drink. Food came out very quickly! They have a great menu and great portion meals for happy hour! Cute for a girls night or date night. They also have outside patio seating.

Yelp
Been going here for years, but I hadn't been in a while due to the pandemic. My family tried it again tonight, and it was fantastic. We had the steak frites, Burrata salad, and ricotta cheesecake. Each was delicious, especially when served with their exquisite baguettes. The only down side was my kid's chocolate milk, which she didn't drink (and that's saying something). Will be back, often.

Yelp
Came here for the Mardi Gras unlimited mussel promotion and tried all four flavors. Thank you for having me! My favorite was the mushroom and bacon (most flavorful), then Thai curry (good pallet cleanser) then Mediterranean (rich and unique) and white wine (good standard mussels) last. My groups favorite was mushroom and bacon, then Mediterranean, white wine, then Thai curry. This go around we stuck to the mussels but will be back for happy hour

Yelp
Ordered spicy Thai curry mussels & fries and their square pizza. Mussels were delicious and pizza was OK but overall overpriced at $48. I wouldn't order the pizza again or perhaps try it dining in during their happy hour.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my recent visit to this restaurant on a very cold January night. We made a reservation just in case space was limited due to covid and they did an excellent job of spacing out tables/others diners. The host was great and got us checked in quickly. Our waiter recommended a couple of starters and we tried the Brussel sprouts and crab dip. Both was delicious - even better than my entree really. For the main, I ordered the lamb shank, which was pretty good, but tasted better after some time in the oven the next day. We also had the burger and fries which was standard, but tasty.

Yelp
We had a lovely time sitting at the bar on early Christmas eve. We were just stopping in for oysters, but after seeing the holiday cocktail menu Melvin had put together, we could not resist! We had a spicy rosemary mezcal paloma and and snow white margarita. Both excellent! We also ordered Happy Hour oysters, and grilled octopus. Enjoyed it all. Melvin (hoping I remember his name correctly) said his next seasonal menu will be 5 unique old fashioneds. We can wait to go back and try them out!

Yelp
Did not expect great, but got less than good. Went for a family meal early. Delay to bring water and waiter then asked "where did you get water" when the manager had stepped in to help due to delay. Foos overall was good but VERY expensive for what it is. Decent steak but undercooked (rare is not medium rare), bread was doughy in middle, and just very pricy for what you get. Could have had WAY better at SER up the street for same price. Hard pass. Won't be back.

Yelp
I had an awesome meal. It was restraunt week in DC. For $32.50 you got a appetizer, entree and dessert. There were 3 different appetizer choices: a Maine scallop crudo, a pear Brussel sprout salad or a mussel dish. There were 4 entree choices, a Thai mussel dish, a pork shank, an Atlantic salmon and spicy Thai curry tofu. There was a pear almond cake, classic cheesecake or cheddar with bread and fruit. I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
We stayed in Arlington for a weekend and I love raw oysters so since this was just a short walk from the hotel, we decided to go there. We made it during the beginning of Happy Hour so the place wasn't crowded. It was well-staffed and the employees were all great--very attentive and friendly. We ordered Chincoteage oysters (we love Chincoteague), blue crab dip, Margherita pizza, wings, and later on, my husband brought me one of their desserts. Everything was really great. I don't see the wings on their online menu so maybe they're in the middle of an update, but I believe they were seasoned with rosemary. My husband was really impressed and didn't even use the delicious dip served with them. You can't go wrong with crab dip or pizza. I'm not sure what the dessert was, but it tasted like something you'd be judging on Top Chef--light, flavorful, subtle. I was amazed at the bill. I think the oysters must have been Happy Hour prices, but wow! I guess when you don't order drinks, that's what's to be expected by I felt like we got great value for what we paid. I'll be returned when I'm in Arlington again and this time I'll try the mussels!

Yelp
+ great selection of Belgian/Belgian-style beers and food + tasty food + friendly service + Fivestars app discounts/deals + across the street from The Westin I came here on my own for dinner while I was on vacation and my husband was working. It seems like a great place for groups. I misunderstood the Fivestars app promo so I was surprised when I got the bill and they still comped my Belgian quad (not the cheapest beer). The portion sizes were large but everything was delicious so I managed to eat all of the white wine mussels and most of the truffle fries, on top of a couple $1 oysters and some bread. If I'm in the area again, this will definitely be a go-to spot for good beer and food.
