NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation
"In Harlem, Mustard is from the same people behind Oh! Calcutta in LIC. The mint-green BYOB Indian restaurant doesn’t stick to one region, serving things like Mughlai gosht and a Goan shrimp curry called caldinho, alongside several different breads cooked in a tandoori oven." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim
I ordered takeaway as I live nearby. The vegetable biryani is superb. Chicken tikka masala was light but incredibly flavourful. The food was prepared with a lot of attention to detail and care. Fresh produce only and skilled cookery. I would definitely return for the goat classic.

I had a wonderful dining experience. The hospitality is top notch and everyone was so kind. Food was delicious and fresh. I had the
Aloo Gobi Mutter, Alu Paratha and mango lassi. Everything was flavorful and tasty. The mango lassi was so refreshing and not too sweet, just perfect.
They have great options for everyone, vegan dishes, vegetarian, meat, poultry and fish.
I highly recommend this restaurant and I will be visiting again soon.

A great addition to the neighborhood! The nan and dahl were really good, the broad menu has something for everyone and there is a vegan section of the menu, the atmosphere is pleasant, the service is friendly and attentive, and overall it’s a great place to dine.

Extremely friendly staff and the food is so delicious and fresh. I got the Chapli kebab with butter naan, sizzling hot with so much flavor. Kheer has very decadent flavor and texture.

Excellent food and service here, the Punjabi goat curry was very generous, rich and flavorful, and the paratha is one of the best I've had in the city. Very reasonable prices as well and very attentive staff. This is my new favorite Indian restaurant in upper Manhattan now.

This is an unpretentious restaurant as far as the decor is concerned. That said, the food here is the true star. This was perhaps the best Indian food that I’ve eaten in quite some time.

Yelp
Really impressive Indian restaurant in Harlem - the staff there are very attentive, kind, and thoughtful (especially to families). Interior is bright and clean.
We ordered daal tadka, garlic naan, raita, mango lassi, and chicken skewer and it was well seasoned, flavorful, and chicken was amazing char and not dry at all. Definitely recommend checking out! We will be returning in the future.

Yelp
Had lunch here yesterday. The Lamb Rogan Josh and Goat Biryani dishes were delicious. Aloo Tikki Chaat for a starter was perfect. The place is very clean and bright. We especially love the BYOB option.
Desert was very tasty Indian ice cream and they brought us a complimentary rice pudding which was also delicious.
A solid Indian restaurant. The spices are all on point and the environment is excellent. We will definitely return.

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant. Has some unusual dishes that you won't get in regular Indian restaurants - like fish in mustard sauce, amazing goat meat and lamb preparations.
Hope more folks start trying out this new place!

Yelp
Fabulous!! Butter chicken & lassi were delicious. Very excited about this new addition to the neighborhood. Will return & highly recommend. 90% of menu is naturally GF, although it's not marked, they explained it and pointed out everything to avoid.
