Good spot with decent food and drinks. The mac and cheese was solid, and I’ve heard the breakfast is even better. Service was a little slow, but nothing to complain about. The real highlight was the bartender, Corey, hands down. He kept things lively, ran the bar smoothly, and had everyone laughing. Pretty sure half the crowd came up just to order from him.

Yuck. Dried out crusty bread. SOO much fat on the 3 slices of brisket, I could barely enjoy one slice of meat. Server seemed bothered by me being there. Do NOT eat here.

Other than the server acting like he hated life and hated being there, the food was excellent. Service was acceptable in how fast they served. I walked in and nobody directed me to a table. I asked if we just sit anywhere and the server half looked at me an nodded. OK, whatever...overall, would go back. Brunswick Stew is great!

Omg.. welcome to Atlanta..where all the food service employees have the personality of a rock, make you feel like it's an inconvenience to order anything and find it more important to text and scroll thier phones before they even acknowledge you 😅😅 So...my wings match the bartenders personality. Cold and dry 😅😅😅 And when the menu specifies "whole wings", doesn't that typically mean a WHOLE wing part? I knew it was too good to be true in a day of gouging and over priced wings. What a waste of $30 for wings and 1 beverage. And btw, no ranch or blue cheese. I wish she would have told me that when I ordered my $16.99 " whole wings" with ranch 😅🥵😋 These wings get a rare 1 on my wings rating around the world 🍗 I travel thru here frequently. I definitely won't eat here again. #winginit

The first words out of the waitress’s mouth was not welcome or how are you? It was we are out of this and that. For the follow up, crappy service was next. No checking to see how things were, no drink refill, only a command to have my card out to pay. Pathetic! While the food was about on par for most airports, the service was a new low! If you decide to eat here, don’t expect anything and you won’t be disappointed! I’ll past on Mustard Seed the next time I’m in Atlanta’s airport. Hard pass.

Went and got a NY cheesecake to go for the wife as she didn't want to leave the gate. Was about 10 minutes and a guy with a blue apron said what are you waiting for, I told him and he said that shouldn't take that long and went and got it. Everything doesn't always have to be perfect to 5 star them. I waited a bit but worth it for the quick smile and elbow bump. Life is too short, say thanks to good service.

As a frequent traveler and someone who appreciates the variety that airport dining can offer, I usually enjoy the food scene at ATL—especially when flying Delta and facing the all-too-common layover. The airport generally provides a solid selection of eateries, and I’ve had many good experiences in the past. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Mustard Seed was not one of them. At first glance, the restaurant looked inviting, and I opted to sit at the bar, expecting quicker service. That expectation quickly faded. Despite the bar staff constantly passing by, service was notably slow—even with an empty glass in plain view. But the real letdown was the food. I ordered the mac and cheese with chicken brisket, a dish I assumed would be rich, savory, and satisfying. What arrived instead looked like something thrown up by a customer after a long night at the bar—soupy, unappetizing, and visually off-putting. The “mac and cheese” was drowning in what I can only describe as a bland broth, and the so-called chicken brisket was flavorless to the point where I questioned if it was chicken at all. After a few bites, I pushed the bowl away. I’ve enjoyed BBQ and comfort food across the country, and I’ve never encountered a dish like this. It was, frankly, one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in an airport—or anywhere. Don’t just take my word for it—look at the picture. It speaks for itself.

Late night not many choices. Sat at the full bar, woman was nice, but people did have to remind her for service. Brisket was tasty. Limited side selection because they ran out of most sides (makes sense). Bland beans.

Here for a drink before our next flight. Super friendly staff didn't have to wait long. Clean inside. Others food looks good.

People that travel through Atlanta come to this spot for the wings! Period! Learn it! They never have wings. I have had brisket, brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich...all of which are good. The serve staff is the absolute worst. When I said thank you half a dozen times, the young lady turned her nose and kept walking. It's a simple Thank you! There are 8 tables and 11 barstools yet there is only 1 server and 2 bartenders. Maybe there needs to be a Management 101 class in someone's future. I travel through this airport 40+ weeks of the year. I have given them more than ample opportunity to figure it out. There are too many places to spend my time and money. I highly recommend that you do not waste your time or money here.

I got two meats and two sides: The brisket was dry and chewy while the rib tips had no flavor and the sauce tasted only of mashed tomatoes. The coleslaw was meh tasting like the cabbage was over soaked in vinegar and layered with poppy seeds. Luckily: the potato chips were outstanding - delicious, and straight from the bag (not made by the restaurant).

(3.5) This place was good. Near my departing gate, my mom and I stopped here for dinner. Virginia was our server and she was great, especially for being the only one working the dining room. Mustard Seed also offered a to go kiosk which could be convenient. They had some cute, airport themed drinks. We decided to try the Takeoff Martini (espresso martini) and the Layover Lemonade. Both drinks were fine, definitely on the sweeter side. We also ordered the pork nachos which were good and the coleslaw and corn bread muffins. The corn bread muffins were surprisingly really good, warm and fresh, they were tasty on their own. The coleslaw was yummy too, creamy and refreshing. This place was good. Not sure I'd stop here again if in this airport, but the service and food was decent.

Atl Airport BBQ by Delaware North. Ambiance-Better than expected, clean..3 stars Service- Corey was on point...made sure i had what i needed. Brisk, attentive. Gave me a taste of the greens when I asked about them. 4 stars Food-Have not had "good" bbq in the South yet. It was ok. Rib tips were stewed to mush. Brisket was decent, as was the mac n cheese. Coleslaw was "ok". Would eat here again under duress. 3 stars

Not the best service as others have mentioned. I witnessed it firsthand as well. People coming in getting ignored and just leaving. They were out of so many items and the TV's were so loud with the games playing on TV. I loved pulled pork, the brisket, the green beans and coleslaw. Sad I didn't get to try the ribs or chicken. Once they can Google how to make enough food and then work on their service etiquette they might go places.

My husband and I visited this location while waiting for our flight. The service was good, the food was also pretty darn tasty. The Texas toast is not true garlic toast, it was two slices of bread- wouldn't recommend. The meat was tasty though so that was a win!!

I love barbecue. But I made a fatal mistake. Ordering brisket outside of Texas. Service was a little slow at first. I wanted pulled pork. They were out. I wanted mac and cheese. They were out. I ordered brisket and pulled chicken. The brisket was disappointing. No bark, the smoke ring was small, and it wasn't cooked long enough to be tender. Why did I think Georgia thought they could make good brisket? The BBQ sauce made it edible. The pulled chicken was better. Flavorful and moist. The best part of the meal were the green beans. I don't know the type, but they are the flat green beans. Very flavorful.

The brisket is amazing! I had Mac n cheese and baked beans. I fly through Atlanta all the time. This is the best food I've had in this airport in 40 years.

Located in terminal D just past gate d 23 lies this gem. Have a seat at a table or bar Grab a pulled pork sandwich with chips. The bbq sauce and pulled pork were really good. The best pulled pork I have experienced at an airport! People watch, watch the tvs or listen to the music. The environment is pretty laid back for an airport food place.

I had a bit of a long layover so I decided to spend some time here. The food was pretty good and hit the spot. I got the chicken plate with potato salad and mac & cheese. I had ordered pork but the they were out. The food was within budget and the waitress was excellent. Someone next to me ordered a breakfast sandwich and was told they were out of that as well. I'd certainly pop in here for a bite again.

I chose the one meat, 2 sides combo. I got the brisket, with greens and country potato salad. The brisket was better than I expected. Potato salad was also better than I expected Greens were acceptable. Sweet tea was.. extra sweet. All in all, a nice stop.

DON'T order the pimento cheese, as all you will get is an orange colored sludge - no flavor. Gentlemen seated next to us said their pulled pork sandwiches were disgusting also. Another potential patron walked over, asked our opinions, and went elsewhere! It is a shame that airport concessions can get away with nasty food.

We ordered the brisket sandwich and coleslaw; unfortunately, the brisket was served cold, and the coleslaw was only marginally palatable. Frankly, I am surprised that this establishment is permitted to operate on airport property under the current standards.

Update: The brisket sandwich (served with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce in a cup) was actually quite good. The kids liked the Mac and cheese, but I thought it was bland and pasty. Corn muffins were moist and yummy. Corey (the guy with the UM lanyard) was really nice, and was just overstimulated by all the drunk craziness occurring while we were there. And Freddie (I'm guessing he was the manager)... I don't think his pulse got above 50 throughout all the nonsense, for better or worse (IMO he should've cut those people off way earlier, and just been more proactive in making sure customers were being attended to). So if I had a choice, I'd give this place 2.5 stars- but I'll round up to 3 stars because I'm feeling in a giving mood. Original: Walked up to the restaurant around 5pm to find about 15 people at the bar, most of them clearly sauced. Black guy behind the bar with the Michigan Wolverines lanyard clearly has some sort of auditory processing issue (or maybe the drunks were just too loud talking about politics?), because he couldn't understand our order unless we repeated it slowly 3 times. The dude next to us left after waiting 15 min for his order to be taken, only to be ignored. All we wanted was a nice brisket sandwich with some Mac and cheese and corn muffins... boy do I wish their self-serve kiosk was working! Had no idea this would be such an ordeal. I'll update this review and the 1-Star rating once (if?) we get our food. But this experience makes me wish my kids had never seen that they have Mac and cheese on the menu.

This BBQ spot in Delta Terminal D in ATL is adequate! It has smoked chicken..pulled pork; brisket; ribs and many sides! I was disappointed in the size of the smoked chicken ...tiny size..but good flavor! There were a few canned beer options as well! The service was adequate!

Probably some of the rudest wait staff I've encountered. My recent visit was a serious disappointment. Would also not recommend as the food has continued to go downhill.

Excellent BBQ and decent sides for a reasonable price. In Concouse D you don't have much choice, but I would choose this again.

My flight was delayed so I sat down here. A girl came in after me and the bartender waited on her first. She ordered a Pinot, and I ordered a moscato. He brought her drink and then turned to me and said, "you wanted pinot, right?" And I said " no, moscato." When my drink arrived, it did not taste like mascotta. I paid $19 for the drink and left a $2 tip. The drink was not even cold. I have nothing nice to say.

The beer was good. It's on the "best of Atlanta airport restaurants" on some website. It's not. Stick with One Flew South. Chicken and waffles I walked out of

This bartender/server/bosswoman is where these stars come from!!! The delicious food is just a plus. She was attentive and running the whole restaurant flawlessly. I had the runway rita and one meat combo (brisket, mac, and baked beans) and boyyyy wa everything yummy! I really wasn't expecting this treat! TANISHA!!! Hats off to you!!!

While on a morning layover in Atlanta, stopped here for a drink. Only the bar was open for drinks and no food was being served in the morning which was perfectly ok with me. I could smell the BBQ being smoked in the back though. I bet the food is delicious. The bartender was extremely friendly and she took care of me immediately. She was on point and ran that bar in a fast and very efficient manner. A few men walked up wanting certain draft beers but they were out of a few of them. The bartender knew what she was out of and rattled off what they had. A friendly face and demeanor in the early morning is always refreshing and nice. I would definitely come back if I had a layover in this terminal. A perfect start to the Holiday week!

I get drinks here at the ATL airport. But they seem to always be out of certain food options. I have never had the food but it looks great. Service is meh. They don't really care if you're there or not, they will make money. You can usually find a spot at the bar. Which is great! But then you will wait on the bartender who is not particularly "fast". It serves a purpose I suppose.

I placed the order over the phone, the lady who picked up was really nice and repeated my order back to me to make sure she had everything correct. I was around the corner and when I got there it was ready, I checked it was still hot. I saw the lady I spoke to on the phone and one of the men from the back came to the front and he spoke. I had a really really positive experience and couldn't wait to check the food out. Once I got home, I took a bite of everything and everything was great! I couldn't wait to leave a review bc everyone should know about this hidden gem!

BBQ spot located in the Hartsfield-Jackson International airport, concourse D. As much as I'm in the airport (2-3x a week) I was really hoping to like this spot. The customer service was average at best. The staff seemed as though they don't want to be there and not really interested in serving you. The food, well it's BBQ. Not horrible, but not great. I had ribs which tasted like it was previous cooked the day before and warmed up. Almost if they were baked or boiled. They definitely weren't seasoned and had no grilled flavor. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this establishment...Btw, I sat at the bar...

While waiting for our connecting flight my husband and I stumbled upon Mustard Seed BBQ in Terminal D. Had the Southern Cobb Salad with brisket and it was delicious!! My husband had the BBQ Nachos with brisket and really enjoyed it. The server Lauren is super friendly and doing her best seeing as they appear to be short staffed right now. The restaurant is clean and the seating is comfortable. Bummed we didn't get to try the deviled eggs. Maybe they will have them when we make our way back to San Diego

After finding the ordering kiosk disabled, then waiting 10 minutes as the bartender ignored me, she finally asked, "Are you trying to make a to go order?" Yes. "We're not doing to go orders right now." How will I ever know, before wasting my time getting ignored, if they're doing to go orders??? It's an airport. If you don't have the resources to run a restaurant properly, let someone else who will.

Food was great and plenty! Disappointed they didn't have the deviled eggs and my drink was a little flat.

all references on the internet, as well as the sign at the business, say ooen daily at 6am. it's 7:11 and they don't even look like they're thinking about opening soon. especially upsetting since there's barely anything else open. please update your hours and sign so the next hungry person is not similarly disappointed.

I just spent $48 including a $12 tip to order three meat combo with two sides to go and they told me that I couldn't sit at a table and wait for my food. They told me I had to sit at the bar. What kind of BS is that. Never eat here again I sure as hell. Hope the barbecue is going to be worth it. I'll let you know in another update.

I visited on 8 Sept on a layover to see family in Virginia. I generally prefer family-owned restaurants because you can taste the care and love they put in the food (admittedly, not always). Chains tend to taste a lot alike and very much like Sysco-supplied ingredients. I did not have high expectations of Airport Food in any case. Early in the dinner hour, they were already out of salads, deviled eggs, and the pickle plate. I ordered the two-meat plate (ribs and brisket) with two sides of green beans (other sides included carbs and cole slaw). The ribs were disappointing, even with my low expectations. The portion was larger than I expected on a combo plate, but it was an end piece: half was virtually jerky meat. The tender bits were nice. The brisket was juicy and tender, but lacked a smoky or beefy flavor. There was no pull in the texture of the meat. I'm from Texas and you can't fool me with no beef brisket. This came from an oven. The sauce was served properly: on the side! But, it was cold, which means you can taste it only well enough to know it is BBQ sauce, but not well enough to appreciate the flavors. It could have been bottled sauce for all I could taste. The braised green beans were very tender with good flavor, but the bacon pieces were identical to one another, meaning they were processed bits rather than honest bacon. The service was tired: one waitress for all the tables, explaining the same menu choices over and over and over again in a high-turnover environment. Ugh. But she also gave what she got. Busy, distracted travellers got prompt but lackluster service. Cheerful, present people got more attention and smiles. Think about giving your server a break and be the type of customer that you'd want to serve.

Slow service. Pulled pork- on able to give 1 of 3 available after 20 min wait. Then it was inedible. Worst pulled pork I have ever had. 2 pulled chicken sandwiches that were a substitute were dry. Brisket was pretty good. Also ran out of mac&cheese.

During a layover, dropped in at the Mustard Seed for something to eat. It's located in Concourse D and directly across of Gate 26. Approaching the restaurant, a "BBQ" sign catches your attention so as a fellow smoker of meats, wanted to try their food. Angela was the only server working at the time. I had that feeling "are you really gonna eat here?!" based on her lack of a greeting, smile, or acknowledging my existence when I was standing 6 feet away at the bar. I grabbed a menu that was on the bar and she came over to take my order which was the brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad and a Diet Pepsi. The order arrived in about 3 minutes which was great. Took off the top bun and saw about 5 thin, broken up slices of what I believe was brisket. I tried it and it was tender but wasn't very flavorful, just okay. The potato salad was a single scoop on the side, which I enjoyed. The soda had no carbonation at all and tasted more like root beer as opposed to the Diet Pepsi I ordered. Finished the meal and left both buns uneaten...just cutting back on bread. Soda was left 3/4's full and sat back, waiting for the check. After about 15 minutes passed and Angela was still periodically serving others and then returning to look at her mobile device. I finally got her attention by raising my credit card above my head and she brought the check. Not sure what was going on but have a feeling what it was and will leave it at that. The bar appeared to be popular and many others were having something to eat. The place became crowded after I left. (I did shower before my flight, lol) I can understand if the service is below standard and the food makes up for it or vice versa. In the case of the Mustard Seed, I was disappointed on both. Maybe others will disagree so you'll have to try it out yourself. Unfortunately, I cannot give a favorable recommendation.

Food at the airport is generally a crapshoot. This place has fantastic barbecue, the waitress Myah was amazing and they have a good selection of beer. Some tvs for sports ball games as well. 100% recommend

Oh .... One of the best meals I have ever had in an airport. Best Brisket ever. Add great customer service and relatively inexpensive for airport restaurant. Big thumbs up.

I went to this place in great hopes on June 8th. 2025. No one greeted me. Then after asking where to sit, one of the ladies said " Anywhere but the kitchen is closed " . This was at 12:30 PM. I think asked " when will it be open ". The lady stated " whenever we get a chef " and then chuckled.

Was tired and hungry, waiting for my plane to board when I saw this BBQ place. I sat down and Corey the bartender was a very social and lively man who made the stop worth it!! Good food and good company!! Highly Recommend!!

Let's start with Service: Good, she had some many people to take orders from and she handled like a pro. Not sure how she did it but she was good, don't know her name. Food was not good, when you are at the airport you expect to overpay for food, not complaining about the price the food quality was not good at all, my friend ordered wings, they came out in 5 minutes. Don't take these 5 minutes as a good thing because they were super dry, they must have been seating under that heat lamp for hours. The toast was a slice of wonder bread but not toasted, it was kind of funny to see. I ordered the salad which I also think it was ready for a while and they just unwrap it and throw it in a bowl. Yeah, don't go there for food. A beer is okay.

Myah is the true sparkle within this "diamond in the rough". She was such a light in the midst of the controlled chaos at the bar. Very knowledgeable, very attentive, very much so in control. It was honestly impressive! Love to see businesses putting the right people in the right positions. The food was good, the drinks were great, the service was exceptional. Get to the airport early and get to concourse D to check this place out. Definitely worth it!!!! Also, get the smoked wings with the spicy BBQ sauce and potato salad, you won't be disappointed! :-)

Stopped thru ATL airport, had a long layover, and decided to stop at this place. Not recommended. Service is terribly slow, and practically every menu item was out of stock. Employees had poor attitude, maybe due to being overwhelmed. Nicely setup restaurant/bar though. Wish I would've had a better experience. Deviled Eggs were out of stock. Mac N Chz was out of stock. Quite a few beets were out of stock.

2 bar tenders and not busy, but still takes a while to get service. Not a quick bite. Mac N cheese is mush, brisket is almost a soup. Ribs are a bit dry baked beans were probably the best of the combo.

Tried to grab a drink here between flights. Older, portly bartender completely ignored us. Younger, tall bartender was too busy flirting with a patron to pay attention to our requests for a drink. Third bartender was cashing out and told us not to bother him. Poor service. Left to get a drink elsewhere.

Tanisha is the best! If you are at the Atlanta airport, don't pass this up! Excellent service.

I'll admit it was close to closing..... No one was smiling at this time...... So I thought maybe the back alley greeting I got was due to a long hard day. BUT ... Then I read the reviews and now I understand. Service is like that b/c no one cares! As a quality service professional I would think that their tips are poor. .... But then again, I see people tip for $hitty service all the time If y'all continue in this way it will only get worse. Tip for GOOD service, and don't tip for poor service..... Money talks!

So far, I've watched 3 other tables walk out. We just want to order our food. This doesn't seem like a good choice for an airport restaurant. Hopefully, the food is better than the slow service. The owner deserves to know at least.

I have never really been impressed with places in an airport. Mustard Seed BBQ was a great surprise. I was seated and an order taken immediately. I was served quickly as well. I had the brisket plate with chips. That was one of the best brisket serving I have ever had. So...so much flavor and super tender. If you are in the Atlanta airport on D terminal l, search for them.
