Musubi Cafe IYASUME

We had so much fun at Musubi Cafe in Waikiki. We went two days in a row, ordered different items. Our favorite was the eel with tamago! Eel melted in mouth and egg was cooked perfectly. We love this place so much we bought an insulated bag as a souvenir! We used the bag for entire trip. It’s perfect to take drinks and musubi to the beach. Line is long and wait is minimum 20 minutes, but it’s worth waiting. We will miss this place when we go back to NYC.

Cute little place and delicious musubi! We were lucky to have the cafe in the same building as our hotel. There was a small line up to order but service is quick and you get your food promptly. The staff are super friendly and sweet. They have quite a variety of musubis to try. I wish I had more time in Waikiki to try more of what they had to offer. I got the teriyaki spam musubi and the salmon onigiri, they were both delicious and a perfect afternoon snack. They also have some really cute souvenirs inside. I’d definitely return!

A Waikiki MUST for rice lovers! They sell so many different flavors of rice balls and musubi 😋 the rice balls are all very sizable and the store also has a small selection of drinks and seasonings to check out as well. If you arrive earlier in the morning when they first open there should be no line nor wait to order and get your rice balls. It is also less than a 5 min walk from Waikiki beach. I will definitely be back when I’m in Hawaii again! 😋

A pleasant experience to order food from here. We tried some new dishes, including Ramen with seaweed, very good! Only one cashier for checkout, long line, but order ready in about 10 minutes. Only take out available. Staff was very friendly. Thank you!

No amount of words can describe how much I love the musubi here. I don't eat musubi all that often because we don't have any places that does it right in Houston. Staying in Waikiki made getting here easy with just a walk. We walked here on our first night and from then on we came back everyday to get some more. They also have a location in the Ala Moana center. Services are quick so don't shy away if you see a long line. You will be given a buzzer so you will know when your order is ready. The space inside is very small with a few small tables. This isn't the type of food to dine in for. My absolute favorites for spam musubi are the avocado-eel-egg-spam, avocado-bacon-spam, and eel-egg-shiso-spam. Spicy cod roe & salmon roe for the riceball musubi. The rice on the musubi is so soft and the spam is so sweet. Everything literally melts in your mouth. Honestly everything on the menu is good. It just depend on what you like. They have a lot of combinations for your preference. Something so simple but is so addicting. A definitely must when you're in Hawaii.

Small little take out spot for musubis. With everything we ordered, the price was really good. Really hit the spot for my onigiri and musubi cravings. We ordered the eel, egg, spam musubi, regular spam musubi, salmon mayo, and cod roe mayo. Nice and warm, freshly made. There’s not really space to eat there so we brought it back to the hotel to eat. There’s also a little shop for spam themed bags, souvenirs, and musubi sauce.

enjoyable quick dinner on our first night here! less than $15 for 2 people and we got to try some of the fun combos. while you wait in the line, you can shop their cute gift section!

Great musubi!!! All the flavors were delicious, the rice also pretty good, the unagi avocado one was my favorite. Good service, but SUPER LONG LINE so be ready to wait!
