You can find a spot to work buried deep within the rows of books, comics, and records while you sip your coffee, or post up along the long bar by the window. Came here for the photo booth. Easy to use, pretty quick for being an older machine. There is a camera that shows you the film as it's being developed. The flash is pretty quick after taking payment, and it's really strong too. $6 for the 4 shots. There are some gaming machines, a Cafe inside, and books.

Google
Such a cool vibe! Just from walking in, you can tell it's chill and welcoming. I came for vinyls, but let with a snack and a cool experience (in addition to the vinyls 😉). Will stop back in, really enjoyed my hour or so there.

Google
Mutiny should be admired for bringing community together but called out for overpricing to an extreme. Some business owners have integrity these days, some don't. Some choose to charge astronomical prices in hopes only those who fail to check value will support their cause. Some will choose to price fair and keep their integrity. In the business of comics, inventory comes and goes. At low points is when they will strike. Its out of desperation to get the bills paid. We can thank the tanking economy and inflated prices for that. The stupid high prices the suckers pay at a mom and pops shop if unchecked, will shock them. Some businesses will capitalize on folks with approval addition, are impulsive buyers, or just trusting or assuming. Its common for comic dealers to overestimate value or exaggerate condition to sell the already low profit margin comic. Before you purchase comics or anything for that matter, double check the grade and precise value or you'll become a victim of their shameless scheme. Comics are a great hobby but terrible investment! Must we live in a society where one finds it necessary to screw the next guy out of pure desperation? Or worse, greed?

Google
This was a random stop and I’m so glad I did!! it’s a bit of a gem in the baker neighborhood and when you walk in it screams of a place that you could really just hide in a corner and read a book.. 📚 But a few things that make it extra special is the comic section and they have a back reading which I love and then the coffee area is awesome and their specialty coffees are absolutely delicious and not too bad on the price!! I really love stopping in this place. It’s a staple to the neighborhood and I really hope it never goes away!

Google
It kind of a cool little coffee shop. The outside is a bit hard to spot (i wasn't sure it was open at first). Once entering, your in a unique spot filled with the smell of coffee and the voice of people discussing comics. I am not a big comic reader. However, it was a great place to study and work since the drinks were extremely affordable and the staff were super welcoming and friendly. I really liked that I could buy a whole pot of tea and just sit there and drink it while working. The wifi worked great too.

Google
a nice dark, dusty bookstore. just how i like em, super nice people. i didn’t realize the books were 50% off so what i was getting was only $1, guy at the counter wasn’t going to charge me so i tipped instead. glad they’ll be moving closer to me so i can go more often 📚🐛

Google
I absolutely love Mutiny and all of their endeavors in curating an environment that is inclusive and allows for people to explore their own curiosity, whether it be coffee, pinball, books and graphic novels. Such a great place. A vital community hub that is very necessary. Long live Mutiny information Cafe.

Yelp
It's an eclectic cafe inside a comic book store behind an unassuming storefront. This new location opened 3 months ago. They were priced out of their old location. The owner and patrons are very friendly. There's a good variety of drinks and food. The establishment has a nostalgic smell of old books that I love.

Yelp
This place is amazing and the pastries are the best. The service is always great and the baristas are so nice. They even have a cereal bar. 5 Stars!
google avatar

Yelp
This coffee was honestly so good. And the staff member was very kind. The place definitely looks more exciting on Yelp though. Although there are some cool elements featured like there cool cereal boxes at the top & a chess table. The book portion though, which I was the most excited about, was rather dusty & not so much a book shop as a collection of genres that seemed to fit the owners personal library. I'm glad I checked this place out & definitely recommend it for the coffee itself.

Yelp
This place had a very very cool vibe but the vibe was so cool and laid back that we had to figure out where we could make our purchase. There were no signs that stated that you needed to make your purchases at the coffee area. I mean I was waiting at the area right by the entrance and a person working there actually came by to the cashier area in that area BUT did not even acknowledge us at all. Just walked right by us a couple of times and just walked back to the comic area never once asking if we needed anything. Sure, it had a cool vibe but I would not return as even though the vibe was very cool, ignoring your customers is just not cool. I didn't try the coffee shop as it was later in the day so I can't say about that. BUT they did have a great selection of eclectic books and comic books.

Yelp
Great find in Englewood! We were traveling through and stumbled on this great coffee shop, the whole place was beyond amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Great store. Great inventory. Cool music, gatherings, open mic nights!!!! Lets support this unique Colorado business of almost 15 years

Yelp
As a political book shop, I was hoping to find more theoretical literature, but found a lot of comics instead. Nothing wrong with that at all, I just set my expectations for something different. I spent around ten minutes inside and none of the people working there said anything to me. I wasn't waiting on a conversation but greeting new potential customers is pretty standard practice. Of the critical theory I did find, there were some interesting authors and socialist classics. Book prices were a little high. I saw that they have an anti-capitalist meeting on the first Friday of every month and I applaud the effort. I may attend one in the future.

Mei B.

Yelp
My partner and I had our first date at the old Baker location. Truly a magical place, I've taken so many friends here. Please support this business in their new location! Even if you don't like comics, they've got great coffee and pastries. The owners are wonderful to chat to and truly care about the community.

Yelp
Information Mutiny Cafe is one of my favorite businesses that is local to Denver. When I first moved to Denver in 2021, this place was one of the reasons why I chose the Baker neighborhood as my first neighborhood here. It has all of the eclectic, goth, dark academia vibes that I love. It's a go-to when I bring new people to Denver. When I saw that the Baker location had closed I was so worried but am so happy to see it's still open just in Englewood now. Please support this business, it's a gem that is keeping Denver weird in the best way and we need more of that.

Yelp
Not your typical used book, vinyl, poster, magazine, comic book, or coffee shop, Mutiny is certainly a very unique place with all of the above (and none of the above), depending upon what you were hoping to find. More of an institution than anything else, it's the perfect place to find something you didn't know you needed but we're glad to discover it nonetheless. Go without expectations and you'll be rewarded by all the surprises you will discover at Mutiny.

Yelp
The vibe the music the people and walls of books and media! The surrounding storefronts too are eclectic . Hot chai, full screen video accompanied the live music. Walk right in. Settle down type of place.
google avatar

Corrine C.

Yelp
THEY ARE STILL OPEN, THEY ARE ON BROADWAY IN ENGLEWOOD. They have great free events, my boyfriend loves their comics, and they promote creative people. The atmosphere has a cool vibe. The best part is the customer service, the staff has seen the best and worst of Denver and they have good stories.
google avatar

Jon T.

Yelp
Very interesting place, but some of the weirdest customers I've ever been around. I don't think I'd come back if I'm honest.
google avatar

Tylerrr C.

Yelp
This place immediately made the impression on me that it does so much for bringing the local community together. Open mics, secondhand sales, free wifi, affordable coffee in downtown... its a wonderful slice of culture. Support this quirky place and keep the personality of broadway alive and well.
google avatar

Shin M.

Yelp
Interesting vibe here. Lots of books, arcades, and a coffee shop. The type of ppl here wore beanies, were tatted and had piercings. It was a different but cool vibe. Plenty of seating. My mocha was just average. Nothing to rave about unfortunately.
google avatar

Tori L.

Yelp
Love the vibe of this shop! The iced coffee cubes are fantastic! I wish they had some more comfy chairs to sit and read for a while, but there's still a good amount of seating throughout the shop

Madë M.

Yelp
This company is a Denver gem! Incredible book selection, excellent espresso, and treat Denver locals with the respect and kindness that we grew up sharing with each other. When you see a company care for the homeless community, and independent artists and vendors, you know you've come to an authentically good place. By far one of the best coffee shops in Denver, and the best coffee shop on Broadway!

Iva O.

Yelp
The coffee was amazing, and the barista was so charismatic and helpful! Book selection was really cool; this spot is such a gem.
google avatar

Derrick B.

Yelp
Mutiny Information Cafe is hard to describe. The vibe is a touch macabre, old school book store, and dive bar live music. There are a lot of comics, tons of books, vinyl albums, a cafe, pinball machines, a live music area, a coffin shaped shelf, lots of interesting stuff to look at, and a friendly cat lounging. I had an iced Matcha, which was delicious. Highly recommend, for a fun place to go and hang out for a bit.

Brandy C.

Yelp
Matcha and coffee tasted like just milk. Worst customer service. Ignoring me to check personal items and had me waiting when I had told "barista" what I wanted after she asked.
google avatar

De'ja M.

Yelp
This place was very quirky and informational as it has in the title I was very taken aback by how organized this place was can't wait to experience the greatness again.
google avatar

Eli C.

Yelp
Went in to browse so can't say info about the cafe, service, games or lounge, but overall huge selection of niche books and glad there's a locals section!
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Not entirely sure what to make of Mutiny except for the following: a) absolutely brilliant name, b) comics - YAY!, c) coffee - double YAY!! This funky book and cafe spot literally caused me to do a double-take while en route to La Loteria. I came back to check it out and was pleasantly surprised by the eclectic collection of books - new and used, the pair of Elvira pinball machines (what?!), the beverage options in the cafe, and the small live music spot in the back. I can see this spot as a staple in the area. And while there are a few homeless (but friendly) people in the area, do not be dissuaded from spending time browsing MIC. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
google avatar

Lucky S.

Yelp
Punk and rock n' roll heaven, plus a cool coffee shop. If you're in the area and like old school, not run of the mill stuff, stop in.
google avatar

NeverMonday S.

Yelp
Jack Kerouac and Billy Burrow's- - Ginsburg - they'd be happy to hang out here. This place is extra funky and raw. Not a Starbys kinda gal - but I sure will pay 5 bucks for a Latte to vibe this place. Friendly staff
google avatar

Holly F.

Yelp
This coffee shop is super cool! They have an array of drinks and you can browse their countless interesting books! Their cold brew is delicious and they offer a variety of plant based milk!
google avatar

Cody P.

Yelp
I love everything about Mutiny. Great selection of comics and books. Pinball machines and located in a great neighborhood with plenty to do around it. Something interesting everywhere you look!
google avatar

Brittany W.

Yelp
Seemed like a really cool place, was going to visit on my vacation. Alas, I don't know if or when I'll be able to.
google avatar

Gia R.

Yelp
Such a fun place to be, I come here at least once a month and it feels like my first time every time. A whole lot of character!
google avatar

Lan W.

Yelp
Super cute bookstore. My group went there at night; the place is such a vibe and we love IT! Biggie the store cat is so sweeeeet and cuteeee! Love the place!

Diego F.

Yelp
Nice place and environment been there many times no issue however today my friends and I experienced something extremely unprofessional. A man with half bleached afro acuses us of stealing. instead of asking us to leave in a professional way he pokes 3 minors and starts cussing us out. the situation could have been handled much better and frankly I feel disappointed in a store I love very much.
google avatar

Aileen R.

Yelp
Hands down one of my all time favorite coffee and bookstore spots. There is always different genres of music playing sometimes loud and sometimes chill. The coffee is delicious and the service is relaxed and friendly.

Yelp
Mutiny Information Cafe is such a cool spot! My friend and I popped in as we were meandering down Broadway a few weekends back to see what they were all about. ++ They have a wide variety items for sale including books, vinyl, comic books (of the superhero variety mostly from what I saw), pins, and posters. ++ The space is super eclectic and fun! Heck they even have a couple pinball machines! ++ There's even a few cozy couches and tables throughout the store's various nooks and crannies. So you can sit and stay for a while. ++ The staff is awesome, way helpful, and of course friendly. ++ Did I mention there's a little coffee bar? Hence the "cafe" in the name. So go ahead - grab yourself a coffee while your browse their wares. Definitely recommend checking out Mutiny Information Cafe the next time you find yourself on South Broadway. It's such a great little gem.
google avatar

Dean P.

Yelp
Coffee shop / used book store with a rock n roll vibe. A piano and tables in the back to chill. This place reminds me of San Francisco or Portland the way it is set up. Had a great visit exploring all the aisles
google avatar

Jacob N.

Yelp
To call this place a gem is an understatement. This is a cultural landmark. So many of my friends have had their work sold here, sold work outside at the tents, and otherwise been represented by mutiny. The owner is kind and supportive and has given me tips on my own practice of selling comics. So thankful they were able to stay open.

Jesus P.

Yelp
I wandered, whilst aggressively high, and found this amazing place... it provides coffee and foods but my favorite part was the local artist that are able to post up their stuff inside. There are magazines, hella books, and this relaxed vibe where you can sit and enjoy your coffee and books. They have a pinball machine and cool photo booth to take some pictures with your seasonal lovers or friends to hang with.

Kevin L.

Yelp
Really good vibes and atmosphere, good service provided and music! A lot of good finds!
google avatar

Maria E.

Yelp
This place is awesome. + A coffee shop with great drink choices (multiple non-dairy milks available). + A book store. + A record store. + A comic book shop. + A cereal bar. + A writing/work space with seating in the front as well as the back. + Games in the front (chess as well as a couple arcade games). + A music/event venue (they have bands, open mic events, and more; check their website or social media for the schedule). + A cool Star Wars themed bathroom. + Friendly service. + Awesome location on Broadway near multiple bars and restaurants. The only bad part is parking. Hard to find in the evening plus every spot nearby has a 2-hour maximum. Trust me, they enforce it (I've seen it happen). Your best bet is to go down a few blocks on Ellsworth (toward Cherry Creek) and look for parking on the intersecting streets. Last time, I parked on Grant and there was no parking limit.
google avatar

Taylor S.

Yelp
I mean, the bathroom alone deserves five stars. Anywhere they deck out full blown Star Wars is totally a five star experience. When you add books, delicious coffee and a cereal bar... whoa. I'm in an alternate universe of happiness. The layout of Mutiny is a little overwhelming but the staff is styled nice and ready to lend a hand. I bought a book and iced coffee for less than $10 and that's a big win in my book. Folks are sipping drinks in the front, groups are having writing workshops in the back, it's kind of paradise if you're into being smart, thoughtful, and creative. Which I totally am.
google avatar

Elizabeth J.

Yelp
My favorite bookstore in the city. I've been here late night to watch my friend's band and dance away my stress from the week. Whenever I have out of town visitors, I always bring them here to shop and have some tea. I've gotten some great stickers, poetry books, journals, and even a really cool painting. It's a fun way to enjoy an afternoon and I look forward to visiting again soon.

Justin R.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite shop in Denver. The staff are incredibly kind, polite and, helpful. The Professor, is the man. I love their iced Italian sodas. An institution of greatness.
google avatar

Victoria M.

Yelp
Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. This cafe is a funky little spot with a lot of character! They've got you covered with vinyl and comic book classics! They're all slightly used but at exceptional prices. You can easily spend a whole Saturday there , which I did, scouring the boxes full of albums and fun comic books. On top of that they have board games, arcade games, and books galore! I also saw that they do several events during the month so definitely check out their website to get all the info on what is going down! They had a great coffee bar which served locally made coffee and a variety of drinks for you non coffee drinkers. They had chais, teas, and plenty of Italian sodas! I was overwhelmed with the selection of syrups they have (I'm so used to the Starbucks typical 5 flavors). The barista suggested I try a black coffee with maple syrup- deeeelicious! My favorite part- the Iced coffee was chilled with actual frozen coffee ice cubes! I've never seen that before at a local coffee shop. It was great- my coffee never lost its flavor as the ice cubes melted. That's what sets this coffee shop apart from the rest in Denver! My only remark I have about Mutiny that I want others to be aware of is that it's not a very quiet coffee shop- Don't come here if you want to concentrate on a good book. With the several pinball machines it gets quite loud in there and can be very distracting. There's so many fun 'goodies' in there though that you don't want to miss out on this place! Please don't review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees.

Yelp
5 stars on vibes, 4 on drink, 3 on food = 4 stars overall! Before we have a "mutiny" on our hands, I want to say that this unique place that one must see in person to truly appreciate attracts a very cool crowd! I could totally picture this shop in Portland or SF. There is a pretty nice selection of vinyls, books, and cool knick knacks. I ordered a tea which was decently good! I walked around the shop with my friend, watching someone play Pinball with his cat. Yes! This is the awesome kind of experience one will find here. I also ordered a vegan pumpkin bread which I ate the next morning because I was going straight from this store to the airport for a red eye. The bread tasted pretty stale. Other than that, this place is great to check out!

Ignacio G.

Yelp
was looking around for posters stickers and movies with my friends when a worker with a half bleached afro came up to them and accused them of stealing. they showed him their pockets but he decided to poke them and then kick them out. weve been coming to mutiny for years now and have never had issues this was really random and totally killed our mood the dude went on some power trip and couldve absolutely handled it better very disappointed as someone whos came and bought stuff before now i guess we cant even look around? really lame
google avatar

Mary L.

Yelp
Totally unique and special venue!! If you have radical in you anywhere you will love it!!!!
google avatar

Reid P.

Yelp
I've never actually ordered or bought anything from here but I've stopped in many times. Its between one of my favorite restaurants and one of my favorite markets, and something about it always pulls me in. There's lots of interesting stuff to look at and you could definitely spend a good amount of time in here. This place is usually pretty busy, bordering on crowded on the weekends.

Yelp
Beverage: Requested for a Lungo shot, and it was such a perfectly smooth shot. Especially since I have been avoiding coffee and espressos since August 2018 (BTW, they use Pablo's Beans). My daughter (she's 17yrs old) had the Hot Chocolate (HC), she doesn't usually drink anything sweet but she loved her HC, it was the perfect balance of sweet and bitter. Exactly how chocolate should taste. I also later order the Kombucha, it's on tap, and has a stunning foam. It was so delicious, and I was so mad at myself for not ordering the large. Staff: It was The staff were super cool and nerdy in the most adorable way possible. We talkes briefly about vintage cartoons from Hanna Barbera, and non mainstream DC/Vertigo characters. Comics/Books/Music: The Comic selection is decent, mostly the more popular characters from Icon, Vertigo, Dark Horse, Marvel, DC. Which is cool, you can't supply what doesn't sale. There are a few Manga, I really didn't go though that collection. They have cassette tapes, licorice pizzas, CD's, all used but very eclectic selection. There's pinball machines, a vast selection of books (including local writers) & ample seating. I wish this was closer to my house. I absolutely love the total vibe, reminded me a lot of places I would go hang out in LA. I love this place, totally found my new joint.

Yelp
Coffee, records, and books.. sign me up. This is a great place to geek out about those things we probably don't need but have to have right.. Yes I love the hunt of flipping through records, and bookshelves looking for a gem. This place makes it easy cause you are also sipping on a very tasty latte while you do it! I could see myself working here on my computer if I had, had more time.. But I did enjoy my short visit and loved everything about this spot!

Adam C.

Yelp
Great people here, both staff and customers. I absolutely love the vibe. I was here for the first time just this week, and could really jive with the visuals of the place. Their food is wonderful, too. Two thumbs up.
