I had a creative dinner at Muto, nestled in Linz’s Altstadt. Descending into their bright vaulted dining room, I was immediately struck by the modern minimalism, airy lighting, and friendly tone of the setting.
I opted for the five-course seasonal menu, and each dish delighted—think delicate yellowfin tuna sashimi in a tangy ginger-kefir broth, and an elegant venison saddle paired with gremolata and Chinese artichoke. The flavors were bold yet balanced, and vegetarian versions were artfully crafted.
The service impressed me most—gracious and insightful, especially when explaining wine pairings from their thoughtfully curated natural wine list.
If you're in Linz and appreciate refined, inventive dishes served in a relaxed, stylish space, Muto is a highlight worth experiencing. A clear standout in creativity and ambiance.
