The Best Montreal Microbreweries and Craft Beer Bars | Eater Montreal

"This Hochelaga brewpub is home sweet home for metalheads, with a playlist dedicated to the genre. It also does great German-style ales and lagers as well as a couple IPAs. The bar just serves snacks, though they won’t mind if you order in." - Eater Staff

MasterChef Season 8 Winner Brings Southern California to Montreal with New Restaurant | Eater Montreal

"A new bar and microbrewery called Mutoïde opened steps from Préfontaine metro in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve from three former neighbourhood service industry colleagues, and while red zone restrictions remain it is offering takeout beer — a hoppy Kellerbier blond and a slightly sour West Coast Pale Ale — both in 32 oz growler form; Microbrasserie Mutoïde is open at 3135 Hochelaga Wednesday to Saturday from 1 to 8 p.m., and Sundays 1 to 6 p.m." - Valerie Silva

Its heavy metal and grungy while serving high quality beer. We sat at a picnic style table and were served quickly by knowledgeable staff. The music was excellent 🤘, the lights were green, the artwork was interesting. We grabbed a few cans and a bottle for home. I'd go here again, I didn't feel judged or out of place.

A metalhead brewpub that serves great beer? Yes please! Super friendly staff, even though we looked kinda normie compared to the regulars at the bar, we still felt very welcome. Beers were excellent, most being low alcohol (3-5%), but full of flavor. The saison and grisette were my favorites, my friends loved the rice lager and altbeer. Snacks only, but I think they don't mind if you bring your own food - but not too many options nearby. Nice terrace outside, and easy to get to as it's right next door from the metro. I liked the decor, it's metal, but refined in its own way. Totally recommended.

A cool, metal/punk neighbourhood brewery. The bartender was really kind, and the beer selection was good (although a little less varied & leaning towards more amber/bitter beers at the time we visited). On top of it all, they have a super cool pinball machine! Would definitely come back during patio season.

Good beer, and amazing beer naming scheme (from metal to Sword and Sorcery), friendly service and excellent music. What else do you need?

I never though that I would stumble upon a Viking metal Microbrewery at midnight. WOW our server was extremely helpful. We needed food and he arranged it from a local restaurant. We were very impressed with the service.

Great place with tasty beers 🍺 love that we can order food from their neighbour’s Maneki comptoir asiat and eat while drinking !

As someone who isn't a big fan of beer, overall this place was okay. It was convenient from where we were, which I appreciated. It looked like they had a good selection of beer. However, since I am a picky drinker, and my mom even more than I am, there weren't many options for us.

The beer was fantastic! Full spectrum of choice, from light to dark and a climbing scale of abv. Worth a visit for any beer lover and a plus for a metal head.
