Grant Park Coffeehouse Is Reopening in Grant Park on Georgia Avenue and Grant Street in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Atlanta entrepreneur and activist Latisha Springer, founder of the mutual aid organization Free99Fridge, partnered with the Grocery Spot to launch a pay-what-you-can mutual aid grocery store on Charlotte Place in Grove Park; Springer also relocated two community fridges from Best End Brewing in West End to an old farm stand outside Aluma Farm in Oakland City." - Beth McKibben

I first started coming here I think in late 2023? (If my memory serves correct lol) whence I was still on the streets. Tbqh, Mutual Aid Monday & its volunteers truly saved my a$$ in so many different ways-- not just the countless delicious homemade meals, but with clothes, esp. winter coats/gloves/hats when it was winter, blankets, hand warmers; and being able to surround myself with ~community~! (Which, IYKYK, is sometimes hard to find/connect with when you're houseless). Virya, in particular, helped me and my bf out with a heater, amongst countless other things; which, without it, definitely would have gotten frostbite, if not literally died from the cold at the time I truly cannot express how thankful I am for this organization/and for every Monday that they continue to gather & provide & lift (all) our spirits up :)
