18 Bars for Singing Karaoke Around D.C. | Eater DC

"Adams Morgan’s Muzette is known for its private room karaoke, but many amateur performers probably don’t know that it’s also a Korean restaurant with dishes like bulgogi and bibimbap. The place is closed on Mondays but opens at 5 p.m. on Tuesdays through Sundays. Choose from over 70,000 songs in many languages." - Adele Chapin

It was a fun vibe for my birthday. It was a Wednesday night and there’s only one of the group there. The reservation was really simple and don’t make you pay upfront. The food is mid and the drinks are OK. I got a medium size room and we had fun.

I came to this location for a second time about 10 years after my first visit and I can tell you they have not updated a single thing. Both our microphones ran out of battery in the middle of our session so we had to lose time trying to get those fixed. Their touchscreen doesn’t work properly so you have to push really hard to punch in type in letters so we wasted so much time queuing songs. The workers are unbothered and only care about kicking you out when your reservation is done. The prices are way too high for 10+ year-old equipment. I would recommend any other karaoke bar.

I came here for a birthday party back in September and overall had a really great experience. Expecting a party of about 15, I was able to email them 2 weeks ahead of time and reserve a large karaoke room for 2 hours. Their hourly rates are super reasonable and the room was plenty big to seat everybody. We also got a plethora of food and honestly, it was surprisingly good - in fact you can fully expect to have a great lunch or dinner here while your friends are singing. One tip is to definitely not over order as the dishes are enormous (as seen in the included picture). They were super attentive checking in on us and made sure we had everything we needed to ensure a great party. The bar was also reasonable for AdMo (it's not a bar where they charge $15 for a simple cocktail). The only thing to keep in mind is that they already INCLUDE a 18% tip (which I should've expected). I mistakenly double tipped not thinking this, but was able to resolve this by calling them back the day afterwards and getting that refunded.

It's hard to beat private room karaoke! This subterranean space has about a dozen karaoke rooms that are rented by the hour (be sure to make a reservation in advance). You can order drinks at the bar or from the staff that pop by frequently to see if you need anything. The song selection process can be a bit tricky at first, but there are thousands of songs to select from. It can get pretty hot in the rooms, so dress accordingly!

We did have to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time, but the staff was very nice and kept us updated on the room. It looks cute as you walk in but once you get to the rooms it is a little disappointing. Everything is wore out, scratched up walls painted random colors and an old computer screen. The music system was sadly youtube and personally I prefer karaoke with a full karaoke system, I can do youtube karaoke at home for free. The website to order drinks wasn’t working so I just went to the bar myself. And they kept trying to get us to leave early and not finish the full reserved time slot, which we politely declined the 2/3 times they asked. For the price I do expect a cleaner, better room and experience and there are definitely better options in the DMV. Will not be back.

Google
15 bucks per hour per person for a box-sized room with limited ventilation and a Karaoke system that barely works wasn't worth it. We ended up using youtube and one of the mics had a dead battery. Also not very clean, there were some used cups on the floor. Not worth the price.

Google
Great time. We did the private karaoke and had a ball. Can get very expensive, seeing as it is priced by the hour and group size. The time goes by fast. But overall good experience.

Luna

Google
The food was ok and the room was pretty small but I'm doing a review mainly because I was charged 67$ for 2 drinks???? Yeah no that's wild. It's super pricy for the quality. The staff was nice though.

Yelp
I had a nice experience at Muzette celebrating a friend's 30th! I wasn't responsible for the reservation making or even drink ordering at this spot, so this review is coming as somewhat of a bystander. Our group had a 9:15 reservation and hung out in the bar area until it was time to go into our private room. The rooms are well equipped and will house as many folks as it says, which is convenient for planning purposes. I appreciated the tambourine they provided and used it LIBERALLY, for ambiance. Many of your favorite tunes will be pushed right into the system, and there's also the option to look up any rogue songs not included on youtube. The sound is great and though there can be some microphone feedback. There's no real bleed through from the other rooms and definitely a party atmosphere. Full bar is available and I didn't try and food items. Overall a great spot to celebrate an occasion and release some serious dance/sing/play endorphins!

Yelp
Our group easily spent 3 hours here and had such a fun time at Muzette! I haven't been to Korean karaoke in a minute, but I was particularly impressed by a few things here: - No score at the end of each song for how well you followed the lyrics (yes, this is a thing at some Karaoke places and I am NOT a fan); - A wide selection of songs in their system as well as allowing you to search on youtube (there wasn't a single song we could not find); and - The music videos are the actual song's music video, instead of a compilation of random images (this is also a thing at most karaoke places I have been to). The drinks and food menu are great, too. Plenty of different flavored soju pitchers, Korean snacks and desserts.

Yelp
We didn't eat I'll admit to that we went purely for Karaoke and drinks. The service is great front counter staff are wonderful people and were super accommodating. They gave us a room in a great timely manner and we had a blast! The drinks were really good, my Fiancé and her friend enjoyed their drinks and I loved the bottle I got. The ambiance here is lovely, it's a casual and fun environment for a casual and fun place. It feels almost like a Karaoke cave as you go down the stairs to this unsuspecting place. You gotta try this when you can!

Yelp
I've been coming to Muzette for most of the last decade, and it's one of my favorite places in DC. I love karaoke, and find the private room places are more fun as you get to focus on your group and you get to sing so much more. I much prefer Muzette to Wok & Roll; it's a little less crazy. Get your reservation in early as they book up quickly, particularly on the weekend. I recommend booking at least 2.5 hours if not 3, as you'll always want more time than you think you'll need, especially in a large group. Since the pandemic, they've updated their tech so you can search by name and artist instead of pouring through their outdated songbooks and grabbing the right code. They're not the most intuitive machines but they try to explain them when you first get in the room. The big downside to the new tech is that a lot of the songs they used to have aren't (yet?) available so you miss out on a lot. You do have the ability to toggle to YouTube to look up songs there but you can't do that while a video is playing, so it's impossible to tee one up. The staff is always friendly but direct; it's how they handle the big crowds (especially on weekends when it's packed with drunk people). They generally stay on top of delivering food and clearing away dishes, plus replenishing water pitchers. I don't always order food, but lately I've been ordering the veggie mandu and it's delicious. This past weekend I got them fried and they were perfection. The food is on the pricier side, so if you're looking for something cheaper (or something that isn't Korean), then eat elsewhere first. There are a ton of options on 18th street! A pro-tip: order your food/drinks from the bar directly if you're with a group splitting the cost of the room, otherwise your individual items are charged against the reservation.

Yelp
So as far as a great group outing, this place can't be beat! Essentially you get a private room for kareoking with your friends. If your friends are lame and don't sing then this place can be pretty lame, but if you have super outgoing and fun friends this is the perfect place. Song choices are endless primarily because they have a karaoke system but if the song of your choice isn't there, you can easily navigate to youtube. I didn't order any food but my friends did. All of them enjoyed their food based on their commentary. We were a group of 15 so maybe 4-5 ordered food. Lastly, the 3 stars is for the lack of communication when booking. If you have never been there it's an interesting process. You email them to book and you get a general confirmation email. I called at 5PM (5:05PM) and got no answer for almost 30 minutes. I wanted to speak to someone day of to confirm what actually was to occur. Once I was there they took my card and ID until we finished and I cashed out at the end. I would definitely go back now that I know what to expect.

Yelp
Despite the food being mediocre and the cocktails being mediocre, I still give this place 5 stars. It's an awesome place to rent a private karaoke room for a groups. most of the songs on our list were available and we had a blast jamming out. Stick with beer and wine to drink, eat elsewhere, and just come for the singing!
google avatar

Yelp
We come here for the karaoke! Food is not great and the service is very self-serve or nonexistent. It's a fun time with friends but we'd go somewhere better if there was a place that was closer!
google avatar

Cynthia P.

Yelp
The customer service was great! We unfortunately had to reschedule and was late to the rescheduling due to car troubles but they were nice enough to let us at least use the karaoke room for an hour until another party came in. The food was really great! I got the bulgogi udon and it was very flavorful. I always wanted to try hotteok and this pastry was delightful with the accompanying mochi ice cream. It is a great destination in DC for a night out.

Yelp
Came here for karaoke with a big group and we had a great time. In terms of karaoke, I liked how their machine had both the built-in song list as well as an option to play any Youtube video on the screen. You can also order food and drinks directly to the room by scanning a QR code inside the room. I thought the beef dumplings were super delicious, especially with the sauce they gave. The veggie and kimchi dumplings were meh. Service was decent, some food came kinda slowly but it's ok.

Yelp
First time here but will definitely not be the last! Came for a friends Pre-birthday bash with a group of nine! I'm not even going to lie I was not thinking I was going to enjoy karaoke this much! But man it has opened my mind to more things to do out in DC that's outside the box. The best part of having this private karaoke room is everyone can feel comfortable and be themselves without feeling like they gotta act a certain way. This is the first time I actually went up and sang anything! Lol. Usually I'll be too shy but again another advantage of having that private room. And there's a plethora of songs and they include the explicit versions which usually I have never seen before! Great! Lol Now to order the food is one of the best ways I've seen in a long time! Now everyone downloaded the menu on their phones and was able to order what they want. Which is cool because there isn't any of that trying to split checks nonsense that can get tedious! And the turnaround for you getting your order was crazy fast! I was like well damn....lol. And the food options are great and tasty. If you like Korean/Asian food you will have no problem finding something to munch on. My only complaint is the drinks which were really made good was given to us in those small plastic I would say kid cups, but their prices were still the standard DC prices. Other than that I can't wait to come back with the group of ladies again because we had a blast!

Yelp
We we're not impressed. The staff tried to change the price on us at the last minute , the food was deep fried frozen and salty offerings, and the staff wasn't helpful. No one gave us a tutorial on how to operate the karaoke machine, and seemed bothered when we asked questions. The music section was extremely limited and seemed geared towards K-pop and classic older hits more for rock and pop. Very limited in current rap and R&B. We made the best of the situation but we won't be returning to this establishment.

Yelp
A really fun karaoke bar in the heart of AdMo! Fun karaoke rooms with surprisingly great acoustics. The food is overpriced and not as good as other karaoke bars in the area, but a very fun time regardless.
google avatar

Marc G.

Yelp
Came here with a group of friends (8 of us total), and we each left the room we were in and went to the bar individually to buy drinks. Absolutely nothing was ordered in the room and we did not have a server come at all except when the host explained the karaoke system to us when we arrived and they put down a pitcher of water and glasses. At the end of our karaoke session they inform us that they cannot take credit card payments from all of us (they certainly can, they just did not want to) so I pay my and the birthday girl's tab and specifically wrote in $0 because I had already (more than generously) tipped for all four individual drinks I purchased from the bartender. We did not receive service in the room at all BUT THEY STILL WROTE IN A TIP FOR 20%! This amount equals a paltry $10 so far too little to call and reprimand them for it (especially knowing that doing so will likely get that server fired) but that kinda shadiness assuredly deserves a WARNING: THEY WRITE IN TIPS HERE SO DO NOT PAY WITH CREDIT CARDS! PAY WITH CASH HERE. Definitely not coming back here, trust is gone.

Yelp
I'm gonna put a few pointers out there before getting to the actual review: 1. If you're coming to karaoke sober, you're doing it wrong. 2. If you don't sing at least one Britney Spears song (per hour), reconsider your life choices. With that in mind, this place is great. Staff is incredibly friendly and courteous. The space is spotlessly clean, the rooms are kept in tip top shape. Equipment was also clean and seemed very new. At least two TVs per karaoke room, in case you're an amateur and actually need to see the lyrics instead of just FEELING the music (see point #1 above). Great spot, definitely worth the hourly rate if you're looking for a quality karaoke night in DC.

Carol B.

Yelp
I have a love hate relationship with this place. If you're looking for a place to rent a karaoke room for you and your friends, then look no further. They book up quickly but for good reason. You'll enjoy a robust music selection with microphones that kind of work. Though the karaoke was fantastic, it ends there Drinks here are horribly overpriced and are not good at all. I'm pretty sure they use lower than well quality liquor which is just highway robbery given prices. Serving staff is quick to respond to online drink orders via qr code in the room, but if you have any questions it can be hard to find someone at times. Would go back, but would probably grab a drink somewhere else first
google avatar

Colleen M.

Yelp
Good selection for karaoke. The food and drinks were really good as well. Rooms were a little small though.
google avatar

Robin H.

Yelp
I had so much fun at Muzette! The food choices were great too! I'd definitely go back again. I love that the karaoke rooms are private, so you only have to look like a maniac in front of your people.... Not strangers.
google avatar

Lady V.

Yelp
The tip of the iceberg is that there is literally No parking. You spend your entire reservation looking for parking and they only hold it for 15-20 minutes. Food is meh.
google avatar

Elanee G.

Yelp
Had an AMAZING time. Great song selection, not as much current but you can You Tube. Private rooms are great and sounds proof from the others. Workers were polite and accommodated a birthday surprise.

Yelp
Adams Morgan gives you many options for your post-drunken festivities, but you can't do too much better than some karaoke at Muzettes. At $40 per hour for a room, it's much more expensive than a jumbo slice, but you will probably have much less gastro-regret. When it comes to belting out tunes, I ain't no Mariah, so it's a private room or nothing for me, and that is Muzette's biggest strength. They have a surprisingly large maze of rooms in this basement. So while they are $5 more expensive than the Chinatown wok n roll (probably the only other suitable private room karaoke joint I have experienced in DC), the demand for a room is much lower at Muzette. They were able to accommodate a party of three with only 20 minutes notice. Nice. We just did the karaoke, so I can't speak to the food or drink. But, for our karaoke needs, they were quick to set us up. They use the same system as wok n roll, with its inkling searches and mix of Western and Eastern artists. We had a fun time singing our lungs dry. The room was spacious, dimly lit to perfection, and had two couches plus plenty of standing room to suit different preferences. They also had a call button in room to summon a waiter if needed. One caveat: while the rooms are private, the doors are glass, so creepers can creep. And when your time is running dry, one of the employees pokes his head in and gives a one song warning...then stands and watches through the glass to make sure you don't cheat, silently judging the whole time. Nevertheless, we had a lot of fun, and I'm sure we'll be back.
google avatar

Shannon T.

Yelp
The song selection was pretty good, and the videos for the songs were often so bad and dated it was really funny. The only reason why I'm rating this place 2 stars is the level of cleanliness and conditions of the private rooms. The room was freezing cold and the floors were sticky and grimy. Everyone in my group who used the microphones got very seriously sick a day or so later. Fever and flu that ended up in pneumonia for some. We had a really great time, but overall the experience ended up a danger to everyone's health. The only people from our group who did not get sick were the ones who didn't use the microphones. Please clean your mics and facilities Muzette!
google avatar

Ruth C.

Yelp
Two and a halfish. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt since our visit was opening night. Clean bathrooms, minimalistic decor. The song interface was fairly easy to pick up on, and the staff were so nice and well-meaning. The English songbook was probably the most organized karaoke index I've seen, but the videos themselves tended to be text only, or set to 80s video clips. Mics are also relatively unforgiving, serving to amplify volume without regulating any sound quality; don't expect those shower acoustics you get elsewhere! Unfortunately our vodka sprites arrived as Cape Cods, which I didn't mind but it disappointed other people in our party. I think the main issue we had beyond that is their decision to use top-shelf vodka when we didn't request it. We ordered pork gyoza and tofu apps to nosh on, which came relatively quickly. The gyoza were pretty standard (yet still the highlight of the night), but the tofu isn't something I'd get again. The firm sheets were seared nicely as advertised, but other than the light tossing in soy sauce, it was bland due to massive underseasoning. The bed of onions could've been browned a little more, and needed salt and pepper. Had the tofu been marinating in the soy sauce for awhile, we might have been less turned off by the dish. Japchae is disappointing, they use bean thread vermicelli instead of dangmyeon. As it were, I'd be willing to come by to try their main menu, but I've been too spoiled by other karaoke joints to sing here again.

Jay M.

Yelp
This place is beyond ghetto now! I've been going here for year prior to the pandemic and not that they have reopened I guess they decided to bring on their second string employees! I still can't understand why in the world the website says they close at 12 AM and the last two times I've called to make a reservation they advised that they're closeting at 10PM. Just change the website if that's the case. Also get an employee to manage the phones that can speak in a professional manner and appropriate volume level. If not please just close down already. ***Please note**** the employee answered the phone shouting "Yoooo!" Think I'll pass on this place FOREVER.
google avatar

Julia O.

Yelp
Omg! If you like karaoke go there! We love the private room, our group had a blast! From outside you don't realize how cute is inside the karaoke, everyone was so nice and helpful!
google avatar

Lucas B.

Yelp
Muzette is probably my second favorite place in Adams Morgan (Behind Dan's Cafe). Sometimes you just get the urge to dance. Sometimes you get the urge to SING. If that's what's hitting you, look no further than Muzette Karaoke. This is a place that will let you rent a room for you and you friends for a certain time period where you can just sit around and belt out some songs. They've got a giant list of songs to choose from, and lots of times have the music video that goes with the song playing on the screen for you. They do sell alcohol there for you to enjoy while you sing. It is kind of expensive, so I'd recommend a semi-hard pregame beforehand to at least get you in the right mindset for Muzette. The staff is easy to deal with and lots of times when your time is up, they'll show up to your room and ask if you want to continue. This isn't the cheapest night out you'll have wit your friends, but it's always a good time.
google avatar

Tori P.

Yelp
Worst and slowest service ever!!!! If you want to spend money for a room and not be able to get anything after please come here. Seriously don't come here. Worst service ever!
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
I must have walked past Musette a thousand times and never noticed that it was here! A group of us went for a friend's birthday, and sang out hearts out. We had our own room and blasted out all of our favorites, and I do mean all. They had every single song we dreamed up wanting to sing. Some come with the original music videos, some do not. It's a toss-up for which is better to sing along with, because sometimes the videos don't match the song at all and that just makes the experience even better. We had an early reservation (7pm) so we basically had the place to ourselves for awhile. The staff was super friendly and helpful and everything ran smoothly. I think we had a 2 hour reservation, but we wished for longer as we were just getting down and into things when we had to leave. The prices are comparable to other karaoke places, but it is expensive. I wish there were cheaper options for earlier in the day or other ways of making this more affordable as I would go more often--so much fun! I ordered the spring rolls and bit into one after waiting for it to cool for about a minute. Big mistake. The roof of my mouth and my tongue were both burned for almost two weeks. The good news is that they fry these puppies up when you order them, the bad news is that they are hot, hot, hot! Have more patience than a 3 year-old when trying!
google avatar

Luella C.

Yelp
MAJORLY disappointed by the song selection. Just random and generic songs that you would expect to find in a karaoke joint in the early 00s. Nothing modern or recent - hard time finding songs that are even in the top 40s, let alone anything mildly underground. They should absolutely look into updating their catalog or hiring some sort of music consultant to help grow their library. Service was sub-par. Ordered rounds of shots and drinks to our room, which arrived late and towards the end of our reservation time. They cut the karaoke off, took our microphones and even began mopping under our feet as we still had full shots and drinks on the table. For some reason, that really rubbed me the wrong way. Microphones kept dying and you have to go to the front desk for new batteries. Rooms are small and a little claustrophobic. Does not have that "high-end" feel that makes the luxury of paying to sing loud and terrible feel like it's worth it.
google avatar

Chenée T.

Yelp
This was my second time going to this karaoke place with a group of friends. It's kind of cramped and small or ~intimate~. They have a ton of rooms and the wait wasn't too long. They have an extensive bar where you can order great cocktail drinks while you wait. I got the soju margarita which was fantastic and tasty. We only rented the room for an hour, but they have an extensive song menu and I like how they divide it between artists and songs. The only annoying thing was having to type in the 6-8 digit code of the song, but the input system was easy to learn! It's also in a great location where you can immediately go out in Adams Morgan afterwards
google avatar

Italia W.

Yelp
Overall a pretty cool place for karaoke. Awesome song selection, very extensive! Music video quality and lyrics were a little bad, but it's comical. Jus one complaint about the room conditions. My party and I were crammed into a small room where the A/C was apparently not that "strong". It was more like non existent, so the room was pretty uncomfortably warm for our stay. Besides that, The staff was nice for the most part... A heads up that they include a gratuity fee automatically into your bill, and there's also a food and drink tax. We didn't order food, so I can't speak on the dining experience. A decent place to have fun with some friends.
google avatar

Ashlee S.

Yelp
This is my second time here and I'm NEVER coming back again! They said they close at 2am but at 1:40 they shut us down! Meanwhile other groups were still singing. We asked why and they said they are leaving too. We waited around and they let them stay until 2am. If you clear us out in groups then say so but that wasn't the case. I think they were very unprofessional and didn't handle it well. Either way, I will not be coming back to this place.
google avatar

Carly J.

Yelp
My friends and I have been coming here for years. It's not a high-class place. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall type establishment. The floors are definitely sticky. The books are also sticky. I don't know how people are getting sick with the mic - obviously they're not cleaned after each reservation, but are you licking your mic? Mics are actually pretty impossible to clean, hence the windscreen and the paper covers. I digress. The song selection is good, but the books and the system are never fully updated (one book will say they have a song, the other won't, the screen won't either in a search, but put in the listing number and you're golden). The drinks are mediocre, but they do the job. The reservation process is easy, and can be done online. There's no deposit required for the reservation. They can also charge the room to different cards at the end of the night if you're one of those people and don't use venmo (please don't be one of those people though - having worked in food service, we hate you). It's fun. It's weird. It's dingy. I've never had anything but a good experience with their customer service or the room itself. Don't expect something nice and fancy, because it's not.
google avatar

Elyse H.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere! The staff is friendly and the food is boooomb! Do you like good portions? Eat here! Do you like flavor? Eat Here! Do you like great tasting affordable drinks? This is the place for you to eat! I've also been for a birthday party Karaoke night! From what I remember my friends all had a great time! The drinks were really strong so.... Great times!

Kevin T.

Yelp
The karaoke is way over-priced for what you get, and when I paid they double charged my credit card (Over $200). In addition to refusing to respond to email requests to resolve the issue, they provided two receipts when I attempted to contest the claim with my bank. 0/10
google avatar

Brittany S.

Yelp
Muzette was definitely an enjoyable experience. My friends and I visited briefly just to stall time for another event but ended up wanting to extend our time at this venue. We rented a room for an hour where we sing our hearts out to 90s r&b while we drink strong $7 margaritas and munched on appetizers. The service was prompt and speedy. Our hour literally felt like 25 minutes of fun. I have to return!
google avatar

Brian H.

Yelp
Avoid at all costs!! Worst karaoke experience I've ever had!! Tried to charge 15% "gratuity" on the most terrible customer service. No effort to help resolve the situation, expensive drinks, microphone battery died half way through. So many other great places to go!
google avatar

Brett F.

Yelp
This place is so much fun. My girlfriends daughter celebrated her 15th bday here. We got a room that held 10 comfortably. 2 microphones and 2 TVs and a cool light that synced with the music. We ordered some of the food off the menu; it was delish. They provided endless pitchers of water and were very attentive to our needs. They went the extra mile by providing plates and utensils for the cake that we brought. They also have a full bar. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
Good times to be had by all! Decent Bi bim bap, large binder of music selection, and ongoing service to our little room. The soju is a little on the bitter/medicine-flavor tasting side, but all in all I had a really good time (and I dont even like Karaoke). The entrance smelled like pine sol / cleaning agent when you first walk in...but then the rooms inside were fine.

Yelp
Let me begin by saying this place is a great idea and my party had a great time, not because of the hospitality of the staff. The facility was nice, clean and had a great selection of music. The rooms were clean and accommodated us well. The service was good but the demeanor of the staff was very lack luster, dry, if you will. The interaction with the staff was awkward because we weren't sure if we were irritating them or not. As a bar tender, you should be acclimated to a slightly tipsy environment. This is a place where I'd expect a smiling, accommodating and at least friendly staff, but that isn't what we got. We still had an amazing time but EVERYONE in our party noticed a slight attitude. *We plan to do it again, but not at this establishment! Be more welcoming.

Yelp
I have been to many MANY karaoke spots in Hawaii, Tokyo and NYC, and by far this one was one of the most oddest and mind-bogglingly inefficient karaoke rooms I have ever been to. First of all, if you want to sing in different languages, you have to completely switch the system. Your friends are singing English but you want to sing a few anime tunes? You have to switch the input and now you can ONLY enter and play Japanese songs. Secondly, the search function for the songs is by the initials of the artist. If you want to look up songs by title, you have to flip through the book. Lastly, and what is the WORST part of this karaoke is that you can ONLY enter songs into a screen bolted down at the front of the room under one of the screens. Basically you either end up having one person acting as a DJ or you have to constantly stand up and walk to the front of the room to enter anything. Smaller annoyances and oddities included the fact that the videos seemed to be all bootleg promo music videos (all the videos had a "for promo use only" watermark on them) and although it was nice to see real videos opposed to the normal generic karaoke ones, we had to constantly switch it so the artist singing was muted. Unfortunately when we did that, the music inevitably would go slightly off pitch and/or tempo. Also, if you are a musical theater show tune junkie, do NOT go here. They basically have zero show tunes or Disney songs which made our group scrounge and rummage for things to sing. The positives? The gentleman who checked us in was quite nice and provided a pitcher of water and cups for our teetotaling and pre-flighted group. The space was clean and the two video screens made it easy to sing. Including tax and tip for our party of five, it came to $110. Pretty standard for karaoke, but it wasn't worth it at all for us :-/ Sorry Muzette, we will be looking elsewhere the next time we are in D.C.

Yelp
A ton of fun. Rented out room 2,which was smaller but worked. well actually the service button didn't work, so we had to walk to the bar every time. They said they would check on us but it was busy and that didn't happen. The bar was crowded but didn't seem too ridiculous to wait to get a drink. Song selection was decent but limited. The batteries on each of the two mics ran out of charge but after a short walk to the front, they had batteries ready to go. This place has the potential of a 5 but really deserves a 3.

Yelp
The girl that works the bar with the dreads was awesome her personality down to her drinks everything was just amazing with her, however I didn't like the fact that the bell in our room didn't work so we had to keep coming out to the bar in order to get drinks but she made it better with her customer service skills such a people person we will definitely be back thanks to her.

Yelp
The only reason anyone should come here is for karaoke. The food is average and over priced and the service is average at best. The karaoke is very pricey. They charge by minute and are very strict about it. I came here on a Saturday Friday night for a group birthday celebration. We had a medium sized room for about 14 people. Only 8 showed up. we had the room from 7 pm to 10 pm and it came to $275 just for the room. They had a pretty good song collection although not as up to date as I would have though. Notably, there wasn't a single Cardi B song which was a shock considering how popular she has been over the last 2 years. The servers occasionally come into the room to take food orders but mostly it was more convenient to order and pay at the bar. I tried the potstickers and the wings. Someone else in our party orders the noodles and the edamame. The wings were supposed to be spicy but weren't at all. They were very crispy though which I enjoyed. The wings came to $18 with tax!! Ridiculous.

Yelp
It's a shame that this place double books all of their reservations. Warning to the wise: a confirmation (email) that you have a room is worthless. Venture elsewhere.

Yelp
Ahh, growing pains. I love the smell new restaurants on opening night. The fear, anxiety and embarrasment make a fine parfum. Didn't get much of that at muzette, though. I probably didn't try hard enough. On to the food. I kept it light with Miso soup and the Tofu bites as theydont have many Veg options. My Co-De had the boneless chicken dish with the pickles after the manager, Stephanie made a few nice suggestions. The presentation is standard for alot of asian restaurants these days, but he did say that it was delicious. I can't comment on the karaoke as our party was too small to justify a room. I did tour the rooms and the smaller rooms I belive, are very ample in space for up to 6-7 people. This a great place to take a solo or a group date and also your co-workers.

Yelp
This place is the worst, despite having been here multiple times. Terrible systems, mediocre drinks, and a staff that leaves much wanting. It's the only place for karaoke in the area so there you go. Hard pass.

Yelp
Is this place incredibly bootleg? Yes. Is private room karaoke not always easy to find, but always stupid amounts of fun? Yes. Did they forget to charge me for $30 worth of drinks and 1-2 hours of karaoke? I can't remember, I was drunk. But my credit card bill says YES. This place rocks, just don't expect anything fancy or fluent English.

Yelp
I came here with a group for karaoke and drinks, and we were not disappointed. The service was decent, and they had a great song selection, though the room setup was overly complicated. The bar was cool and had Asian drinks (soju, sake, etc.). I would definitely return, maybe even just for the bar, as it has more of a grownup feel than a lot of the others in the Adams Morgan area.
