My Hai Restaurant

We ordered the Phở Bò (beef pho), Bún Chả, and the fried bird. For the price we paid, the food was genuinely impressive. The bird was fried fresh, and both the Bún Chả and Phở came piping hot with the right amount of herbs and salad on the side. The portion for both the phở and the bún chả was also very hefty, which made it even more satisfying. All the ingredients were fresh and flavourful. The only challenge was communication, as the servers didn’t really speak English — but honestly, they were very kind, helpful, friendly, and approachable, so it wasn’t an issue. The best part was when settling the bill: the lady actually wrote down the charges clearly on a piece of paper instead of just quoting a total. Very thoughtful and transparent. Highly recommended!!

Hands down the best food we had during our Vietnam trip. Every time I look at this photo, I immediately crave it again. The chicken meatballs were insanely good, the spring rolls were crispy and fresh at the same time, and the fried rice was just perfect. Everything on the table was comforting, flavorful, and hit the spot. This is the kind of meal you keep thinking about long after the trip ends

Atmosphere, this place is right at the street corner. So lots of walking and vehicle traffic. Great to people watch. Service, although there were other customers, we were served immediately. And when ordering more items as time went along, they were just as efficient. Food. Amazing. Was hanging out with a buddy as It was my last night in Hanoi for a while, so we wanted a place to snack and drink. After 8 beer between us, roasted quail, pan fried pork belly and deep fried tofu. PLUS I ordered a takeout order of fried rice for my 7 hour bus journey the next day. 540k. That's way less than $30 Canadian.

I enjoyed the food, especially the omelet and the cooked rice with egg, beef and vegetables 🍜. The rice was a nice complement. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the experience pleasant. The atmosphere was satisfactory. 😌👍

We absolutely loved this restaurant in Hanoi. We went twice in our short stay there. The young man that served us the first time was lovely and had wonderful service, then the second time we went, he was there also, but we also had a lovely lady serving us also. The food was amazing, it's well priced and came out quickly. If we were there for more days, we would have kept coming back. My teen kids even requested to go back! We had Bun Cha, fried rice, beef noodle, stir fried greens, beef pho, vegetarian spring rolls, ball sausage (over both times there), cold tea, and cold beers. Thank you for a fabulous meal! Go there...you won't regret it :)

Had dinner last night and was impressed with the small roasted bird with vegetables. Came back today and had roasted pork with pork veg soup plus a coconut what a delightful meal .. highly recommended

Initially, we walked in with low expectations, suspecting it could be another tourist trap. However, to our pleasant surprise, it had an authentic vibe with a mix of locals and tourists, which reassured us about its credibility. The standout dish for both my wife and me was the glazed pork belly in fish sauce. While we hesitated initially, it turned out to be delicious. The flavors were unique, rich, and pleasantly surprising, making it a must-try for anyone looking for a memorable meal. The prices here were quite reasonable, making it a good value-for-money spot. Service was decent; though the staff spoke minimal English, this added to the authentic feel and indicated that the place is not exclusively geared toward tourists. Overall, this restaurant exceeded our expectations, and we would happily recommend it to anyone looking for genuine food in Hanoi without the typical tourist hype.
