Google
Just found my new favorite chinese restaurant! I ordered the kung pao chicken and they were really fast! The girl was helpful and recommended a lot of choices for me. Definitely will be coming back again

Mimi

Google
First time trying this place out, found it at random! I order the orange chicken on their lunch menu and it tasted so good!! The girl up front was nice on helping find things i would like to try out. Would recommend trying this place out!

Google
I've been ordering from here for years, and recently placed a large Uber Eats order... no joke, Uber Eats ONLY delivered me the sauce and no food at all. The restaurant and their team made sure to take care of me by personally delivering it to my residence. Mind-blowing service and above and beyond experience. Food is delicious of course too. Don't think twice... order from here. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Awesome experience with the service and the food!! The cashier taking out to go order was so helpful and nice. Can’t wait to be back

Google
So I’ll preface by saying that this USED to be a good restaurant with a polite and respectful staff. Man how the times have changed. There is a dearth of good Chinese food restaurants in Gilbert so we have been here many times, in the past we had one or two things that were slightly off, but were acceptable. Once they’d over-salted a dish and asked how we felt and my wife said it was a little too salty, the chef came right out and said he’d like to remake it so we were satisfied to which we said that was not necessary. He was so nice and the food wasn’t that bad so she wouldn’t let him remake it. The food now is just a huge downgrade from what we had come to expect. We ordered a beef dish - Garlic Beef. We tried to ask the rude order counter lady employee which dish she’d recommend she said “they are all different I don’t know,” then we asked “does it have vegetables” she snapped “yes it has vegetables I can’t tell you what kind of vegetables it has.” So we wait for the food and the Garlic Beef was simply disgusting it tasted like white sugar dumped on peas, carrots, broccoli and beef! It was not edible. So a different lady who had served the food asked us how our food was and we said “is this the Garlic Beef extra spicy as we’d requested?” She said it was to which we replied “normally garlic dishes are not very sweet.” Then the rude lady came up to us and said “Garlic Beef is always sweet.” My wife is Chinese and we looked at each other and both said “we’ve never had garlic food of ANY kind that’s sweet and we don’t like it at all and there is nothing on the menu saying it’s sweet and you didn’t mention it.” She gave us a rude look and said well ours is sweet and walked off! No offer to make it again and an attitude like - duh you don’t know Garlic Beef is sweet? Needless to say they lost us as customers and I advise you to look elsewhere, the vegetables and meat used to always taste fresh and crisp now I think it’s all frozen crap. If you read my reviews, you’ll see I rarely give a negative review and typically only like to promote restaurants that I want other people to try because their food is delicious so this is a rarity for me to make a complaint about a restaurant.

Google
YOU GUYS! What a little gem this is! Located at Cooley Station, in the Fry's parking lot, this place is just going to continue to get more and more popular as this area grows so GET. IN. HERE. NOW! It's fast casual, in that you counter order, however, they serve you your food at the table. The atmosphere is pretty stark and plain but it's the seating is nice and it's a clean dining room. The food is served on nice ceramic ware, the forks are a black metal and the water glasses are stainless steel. We showed up before 5 pm on a Saturday and there was no one in the dining room. Within 30 minutes of our being there, every table was taken. CONSTANT takeout traffic. Friendly staff! The food: the least exciting dish were the egg rolls. They were just okay. The filling was somewhat bland and the outside didn't seem as crisp as it should. They were 'fine'...the rest was BOMB! Three of us shared: shrimp lo mein, chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef, General Tso's chicken and white rice. The spiciest of these was a the Mongolian beef, the shrimp in the lo mein were prepared to perfection and the fried rice looked like it could be flavorless but it was not. I would rank the General Tso's on the lower end of my favorites. Some of the chicken seemed a little tough for me. Overall, this was a great dining experience and we look forward to returning and trying some new dishes!

Google
Me and my husband came to Arizona to visit family and decided to stop at this restaurant for dinner. I have a very severe tree nut allergy and asked the lady at the counter if there were any tree nuts in the Kung Pao Chicken and she was very kind and helpful in reassuring me that the dish didn't have any, but that there were peanuts in it. She was also patient with my husband as he is very picky about what food he gets, and decided to order the Orange Chicken. 10/10 would come back again if I'm ever back in the state.

Google
we come here all the time have never experienced such horribe service. Refused to give me food i purchased through there website. Were extreamly rude, laughing, talking nonsense yelling saying i used door dash when i did not. im super disapointed in your establishment. We will never be back.

Yelp
EVERYTHJNG TASTES FUNNY OR IS OLD. We spent $80 on two entrees, crab Rangoons, and won ton soup. The wonton soup was cold and so old that the meat tasted rancid and the noodles were completely disintegrating in the broth, which tasted like pure soy sauce. My eggplant and beef in garlic sauce was an absolute horror show. The eggplant was so undercooked it was not chewable, and the beef again tasted old. Overly garlicky sauce which left my entire mouth coated with that jarred garlic sticky feel. The chicken teriyaki tasted re-cooked and had an odd clove like back flavor. Also had a ton of odd veggies (almost raw, btw) that had that clingy spice on them as well. Crab Rangoons were okay, but nothing special. Edible, which was a refreshing change from the rest of the order. I got lo mein on the side and it was bland and yet oddly sticky. My husband had fried rice on the side and once mixed in with his weird teriyaki was okay. The crispy noodles were anemic - almost white- and didn't go in the soup no one ate. Terrible, terrible waste of money!

Yelp
Needed a dumpling fix so I came to my go to place!! The steamed meat ones are my favorite. I also got some chicken lo mein. Never disappoints!! Service is always quick!

Yelp
First visit today after what seemed like an exhaustive search battle between Google & Yelp for Chinese food... So, we found ourselves arriving a bit before 3pm, that's important as you can get lunch specials until 3pm. I opted for the Szechuan beef, Pork fried rice and cup of Hot & Sour soup. My friend got the Veggie Lo Mein. We were both impressed with the variety, quantity and doneness of the veggies. I enjoyed the Hot & Sour soup which is generally my gauge for Chinese food. It's a small place with I think a capacity of only ~26 but the seats were comfy and take-out is always an option as well as Door Dash. We took a menu on the way out and a nice little snack to boot. Give them a try.

Steve E.

Yelp
Terrible Service Terrible portion sizes I ordered a meal for my first time here and it was the smallest portion I've ever received from takeout anywhere.

Alex A.

Yelp
Food was decent but the lady behind the counter was extremely rude. She was upset that we asked questions and seemed to be bothered we were interrupting her social media time. She was on her cell phone any oppurtunity she could be. Completely rude for customer service job. My family was treated like we were bothering her. Will never go back truly a bad experience. Wouldn't recommend based on service alone. Hope ownership recognizes the opportunity.

Yelp
Ordered takeout here one night. My Kitchen is located in the new-ish Fry's shopping center. Plenty of parking available. The space and the staff were welcoming. There's ample seating. I ordered a shrimp dish for myself and my husband ordered Mongolian beef. We also ordered spicy edamame. Service was quick. We couldn't wait to get home and devour our dinner. However, when we took the contents out of the bag, we realized they had forgotten the rice that comes with the entrees. Not a single rice container. Unfortunately, we didn't have any rice at home and My Kitchen doesn't deliver so there was no point in calling them. We also didn't want to drive back out just to pick up rice. Partly our fault for not checking the contents of the bag before leaving the restaurant. Disappointed, we ate the entrees without rice. Though they were flavorful, it just wasn't the same. We would definitely give them another try, but will make sure to check our orders before leaving.

Yelp
This is my "go-to" for Chinese takeout now. They have a great variety, good portion sizes, and reasonable prices by todays' standards. I definitely recommend!
google avatar

Lenore B.

Yelp
Great for dining in or takeout, My Kitchen serves up some excellent NY style Chinese cuisine. If you dine in, ordering is at the counter and then you seat yourself. Aside from the food, I was impressed with the dishware used for serving and the metal cups for drinks. It just added to the overall dining experience.

Yelp
This was a great meal! We picked a really good place to have takeout from tonight. I've never heard of My Kitchen before but found it on Yelp when I was looking for restaurants in Gilbert. The reviews were very encouraging. We ordered Mongolian beef, Chicken with Eggplant in Garlic Sauce, Vegetable Lo Mein, vegetable fried rice, crab rangoons and vegetable spring rolls. We asked for everything to be mild. After trying all the dishes, this might be our new favorite Chinese restaurant! The food tasted cleaner than any other place we have tried so far. It was fresh, delicious and had so much flavor. We loved the chicken with eggplant. I love eggplant so much and they used purple eggplant (a lot of it in the dish actually which made me very happy). Mild was perfect. The food had a kick without being too spicy. Portion size was also pretty big so we had leftovers for the next day. Prices are average. We paid $59 for everything before tip. This is great because we got two dinners out of this order!

Yelp
Food was great! Had the chow fun in pork and beef, pork fried rice and walnut shrimp. Pork fried rice was Soo good. Will def be back! Also see a lot of the negative reviews about the service, but ours was great! No complaints

Yelp
Stay clear away from this place. I have had a lot of Chinese food from all over the country and this has to be the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Pretty sure the orange chicken was cat meat instead of chicken.
google avatar

Anna J.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised. Chinese food is our least frequented Asian meal bc my family owned Chinese restaurants growing up...there's very few Chinese restaurants I would take the time to review but I will say if you're in the mood for a quick dinner for the entire family, this is your best Chinese food option. Fresh and well seasoned food with many options. We ordered the wings, pork fried rice and seafood with ma-là sauce. Everything was delicious! The dining room area was clean. quick and friendly service.

Yelp
Tofu with vegetables has excellent flavor! Thank you for the yummy lunch. Looking forward to sharing your lunch spot with friends.

Michele F.

Yelp
This review is directed to Alan, Owner. Your food is terrific and always enjoy eating in or taking out. But....your cashier/waitress needs a course or two on customer service. My family stopped eating there for 2 years because of the rude behavior. We came for lunch today and she 'snapped' at us at least 3 times. Again, your food is delectable and we were about to walk out today because of her poor attitude. We will likely return but for the sake of customer service, please address this woman to improve the whole dining experience.

Yelp
Another hot and soup review! This place has a great look and feel. Super clean inside and the tables and chairs comfortable and trendy! Great service too The hot and sour soup was flavorful,I liked the amount of soy sauce in it, it didn't seem to have as much of the tofu and other ingredients I am used to.i also got an egg roll, it was great, hot and fresh with the perfect amount of crispness. I will be back to check out their entrees.

Max M.

Yelp
Best Chinese food in the Valley. It reminds me of the Chinese food in the bigger cities. Customer service is great, the ladies are always so friendly. I definitely recommend the orange chicken, egg foo young, and any of their lo mein.

Amanda L.

Yelp
BOMB. I usually order from Ginger garden, but it was closed and I'm so glad it was because I tried MyKitchen and I'm never going back. We ordered take out. The orange chicken was awesome! A little spicy, very good. My son had kids meal sweet and sour chicken. It came w the sauce on the side, which was awesome. He loved the chicken plain so for picky eaters that was a huge plus. Steamed edamame and the cream cheese crab rangoons.. Everything was awesome. Definitely going there from now on.

Yelp
Food was good, dining area was comfortable, the only negative was the young girl at the front counter was rude and unhelpful to us as we were first time customers. Not sure I'll be back.

Yelp
EVERYTHING went well. They are consistent, and their food is phenomenal. Service is amazing, and everyone is very kind. Super clean, nice place to dine with comfy chairs. I began frequenting My Kitchen right after they opened their doors. EVERYTHING is always amazing. Thanks to all of you. That's why I choose YOU!

Yelp
Went last night with a party of 6. Restaurant was clean and looked nice. Portions were huge, and prices were very reasonable for what you got. Food was way better than I expected. Honestly, I would have given it a 5 star based on the food alone. I think the consensus from our whole party was, "WOW - this is really good?!". However, the service was TERRIBLE. The lady taking our order messed up 2 of our 3 items. When she brought out the appetizer, we said we didn't order that, we ordered the other item. She was snarky and said I must've made a mistake, but that she can take it back and bring the right one out (despite her also ringing up my entree wrong and admitting to that part). Cool, thanks... I didn't make a mistake - you clicked the wrong button and didn't give anyone receipts so we couldn't have caught it, but thanks for being rude about it. She then brings the first one back and told us "you guys can just have this, we're going to throw it away anyways". Ok, cool - we'd love to try it. She then comes back a few minutes later and tells me she rung up my entree wrong and she charged me for a shrimp dish instead of the one I got. She told me "I just need you to pay the difference". Ok, cool - no problem! "The total will be $11.xx". I'm sorry - WHAT? The entree I ordered was $16. I asked her what she meant, that didn't make sense? What did you ring me up for? "It's just the difference in the price of the entree". I push back... I paid $47 for 2 entrees and an app. She points to the shrimp item on the menu. It's $2 less than my entree. I look at her and ask why she is charging me over $11 when the price difference is $2? She tells me "well it's for the appetizer that you guys ate". ...WHAT??? Why are you literally standing here lying to my face trying to pretend like you're charging me the difference in my entree when you're trying to sneakily get me to pay for the second app that you messed up on. We sent it back, you took it back, and then brought it back to our table and flat out said we could just have it because you'd throw it away otherwise. I flat out refused and said, respectfully, I didn't order it, we didn't want it, you gave it to us, and I'm not paying for your mistake. I will pay for what I ordered. She was pissed that I called her out for trying to lie and basically steal from me. Honestly, the food was great. I would love to go back... but the black haired Caucasian server lady working the register on Friday 06/21 at around 6pm was just ridiculous. You screwed up 2/3 my order, lied to my face and tried to scam me, and then have the audacity to be upset at me for calling you out on it. I will go back because the food was just really good... but you can bet I'll be getting a copy of my receipt to make sure I'm not being taken for a ride. Crazy experience from a restaurant. Should've been a 5-star review. Total service failure.

Yelp
Love the food , and the front counter service is great, they let you order it first and they will deliver the food for you , love that chill environment , ambiance is bea

Yelp
Came here during lunch and it was a bit busy. Ordered our food with the friendly staff. Food came out super fast. I got the egg drop soup topped with wonton chips which was delicious. This is a must! For the main lunch entree, I got the kung pow chicken with fried rice and an eggroll. I enjoyed this dish because it came with a lot of vegetables and meat! Savory and spicy! If you're sensitive to spice, you may want to order the meals without the chili symbol next to it. The lomein was also a hit! Overall, great food, staff, and ambiance!

kennedy b.

Yelp
dined in with my friends and was surprised by how nice the inside of the restaurant was.. food tasted exceptional and the vibes were high

Yelp
We stopped in to My Kitchen on our way home from a dance competition (my daughter's not mine). The workers who were up front were super pleasant. We decided to dine in (driving home to Marana - would not be easy to eat and drive). Sat at the table and almost immediately our crab Rangoon's came out. They were freshly cooked and weee beyond delicious! They were super creamy and had a nice fry to them. The sweet and sour sauce that came with them was one of the best that I have had (my wife is not a fan of sweet and sour sauce. She loved My Kitchen's sauce!) Almost immediately after they brought out the cashew chicken. Usually when I go to a Chinese restaurant the plates are void of any real veggies. Not here! Generous serving of veggies accompanied the meal (carrots, celery, peppers, baby corn, zucchini, pea pods). The veggies were nicely cooked (can tell that the dish was freshly cooked, as there was a nice crisp still to the veggies). The food was delicious! I stole a few pieces of the sweet and sour pork from my father-in-law's plate. Just like the Rangoon's the pork was perfectly fried (and not greasy). Finally, loved the reusable dishes, water glasses and silverware. I highly recommend and will plan on being back next time we are in the area! (There were 4 in our party. Average rating was a 4.75 stars)

V L.

Yelp
I had not been here in a while but this was my go to for Chinese food. The app makes it super easy to order and pick up. When I picked up my order I was greeted immediately and my food was ready. I was a little disappointed in the food. The egg rolls seemed to have gotten smaller and the food was on the bland side. Maybe it was just a bad day. I'll definitely give it another try.

Diane P.

Yelp
I would not post but was very upset by the rudeness of the lady who was behind the counter. She handed me a wrong order, was unapologetic, and argumentative. The owner, Allen needs to address her attitude because there are many posts about her on other sites with reviews going back months. My interaction with him has been pleasant and I'd hate to see his business hurt by her lack of good service. I have been to Ginger Garden where the staff and owner is so inviting and wonderful. Coming from a restaurant background, I can hardly believe this behavior is tolerated for so long!

Lisa D.

Yelp
We really like the food here. We've eaten here a few times. Today was a little odd as our food plates all came out at different times. It was delicious but it would have been nice to have all the food at once.
google avatar

Kurtis H.

Yelp
Aside from a strange name for a Chinese restaurant they do a good job here: fast, fresh and B+ food relative to the price. Nice job!
google avatar

Mrs B.

Yelp
Yum, yum, yum!!! We had the Orange chicken,Sesame chicken, House lo mein, and the crab Rangoon's, everything was Delicious!!! You can tell that every detail was thought out in this small but adorable restaurant. The silverware was great, the dishes were pretty, the cups kept the drinks ice cold, the chairs are comfortable, just thoughtful details that I really appreciated. Such a great vibe to hang with your family and enjoy a nice dinner. I will definitely return when I'm in the area, definitely one of my new favorites. Update: lunch prices were great and still plenty of food to take home.
google avatar

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Decor is somewhat inviting but don't be enticed! I would say this is possibly the worst food experience we've ever had. The only detectable flavor in the wonton soup was salt and it was way too salty! We had sweet and sour chicken. A more accurate description would have been sweet and sour tasteless bread. We barely found a sliver of chicken in the pile of fried bread which also didn't have any taste. The sweet and sour sauce was mediocre but we maybe could have disguised the bland bread with sweet-and-sour sauce if there had been more than a tablespoon of sauce, which was served on the side. Rice of course does not have a strong flavor but even the rice was completely tasteless. The vegetable spring rolls were OK. They tasted like the kind you get from Costco which are again OK. We waited 20 minutes for our vegetable foo young to come out. Again absolutely tasteless! I don't even know how you do that. It's like all the flavor had been boiled out of the ingredients before they were combined. Oh, we also had green tea which was burnt. What a disaster!

Brandi R.

Yelp
You guys are my go to spot. But recently the food has been sub par... which is not like you at all!!! Did you switch kitchen staff? Sadly unimpressed by my last 2 orders. Bring back the GOODNESS!!!
google avatar

Liz P.

Yelp
My kitchen is EXCELLENT! I had the Teriyaki Chicken and the portion served was enough for dinner and tomorrow's lunch. The chicken was tender and juicy with a slight crispy sear on the outside. The sauce was salty and sweet but not too much of either and came with a side of plenty of white rice. It has LOTS of delicious vegetables like mushrooms, carrots, zucchini and broccoli. I can't wait to come back and try something else!!!!! Definitely recommend My Kitchen!!!

Bridget R.

Yelp
I would give (5) stars but unfortunately they did not give me something to eat the food with. I ordered UberEats and food is good! Driver fast and happy with all in all. I will make sure, I put on special instructions to give me a fork. Maybe it was because I did not ask for it. :D finger food
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Excellent food! Great little sit in restaurant. Friendly service! I'd definitely recommend them to anyone look for good Chinese food.

burke s.

Yelp
The lady up front is extremely rude. I doubt they care but I'll never come back after she said I was annoying for asking for an extra sauce.
google avatar

Alexa B.

Yelp
would rate it lower than 1 star if I could. Food is sloppy, greasy and gross. The people working there are unbelievably rude and disrespectful, I've never been spoken to like that. Called me back to back off of the restaurant line and personal cell phones once I said I wouldn't pick up food that has been sitting for 37 minutes? I actually had to block them! Insane behavior and ruined dinner for Mother's Day Do yourself a favor and avoid this nonsense all around - not worth it.

Armsndo C.

Yelp
The food ordered egg foo young it was the worst. No egg no veggies and no barbecue pork. It was burnt to a crisp. Did not send it back just will never ret

Yelp
My new favorite Chinese restaurant! Food was perfect! Super fast delivery. Great lunch portion and hot and sour soup just right!

Yelp
Had an amazing experience at My Kitchen! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the House Lo Mein, and the service was warm and attentive. Great atmosphere too...cozy, stylish, and welcoming. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Overall very good first stop at My Kitchen. You order at the counter but they bring the food to your table, and our food came out in about 5 minutes on a Saturday evening. We wanted to sample a few things on our first visit so got the chicken lo mein, Mongolian beef and orange chicken. All were decent with a few minor detractions. The beef was pretty light on the beef, the lo mein a tad oily for our palate, and the broccoli in the orange chicken was cold. It was done crunchily (which I like), but it felt like they blanched it and forgot to rewarm (our friend's General Tao's broccoli was warm). All flavors were good and the meat quality was good. I would say that the entrees they classify as spicy were on the very mild end. The rice was done properly. We had quite a bit of food leftover for 2. The presentation was nice on black plates and bowls with gold rims. They have stainless steel cups for your water or soft drinks (Coke products, self serve). The cups are a nice touch compared to plastic or paper, and they do keep your drink cold (literally and 'fingerativelly'). The space is clean and casual with a little more stylish tables and padded, wrap-around chairs (comfortable, but too wide to fit between the table legs). I would definitely go back to try the lunch specials (31 choices, most at $9.95 that come with rice and a spring roll or soup) and carry-out. They do not have beer or wine, so need to do carry-out if you want that with your dinner!
google avatar

Matthew C.

Yelp
The food was tasty and not too salty. The shrimp were smaller than other places, but tasted good and fresh. They put mindful attention to preparing and presenting the meal, even if to go in a good container. I will go more often now.

Amy O.

Yelp
We tried this place one time and now it's our go-to! We order at least 1x a week and have never had a bad experience. It's much higher quality and more flavorful than the other Chinese restaurants around us. They add bean sprouts to their fried rice and it gives it this incredible texture. We also regularly get spicy orange chicken, Mongolian beef, lo mein, fried rice, egg drop soup, potstickers and egg rolls.

Desiree M.

Yelp
Ment to walk into next door, and walked in 5 minutes before My Kitchen was closing for the night. Door was UNLOCKED when i walked in. The girl behind the counter screamed out "We are closed" I glanced at my phone and tried to tell her that I was confused, but I could not get a word in. She continued to holler at me that they where closed and then told me I had to leave NOW, as if I was a prowler trespassing and she would call the police if I didn't leave right then and there, and continued to say leave now. Looked them up after I left only to see that they where not to close for another 5 minutes when I walked in. If your closed, like really closed you should have locked the door. Extremely rude and disrespectful hollering at someone the moment they walk in, and then demand they leave now when they can't even get a word in and are confused trying to get an answer or assistance. You best believe I would NEVER recommend this place. Customer service deserves a 0 for there behavior.

Yelp
Went there for lunch today. The food was awesome! My son, who's a pretty picky eater, devoured the fried chicken. Chicken Lo Mein had a quite a bit of chicken in it and really good flavor. My daughter had the egg drop soup and really liked it too.

Yelp
So it was a Monday and our regular Asian food joint was closed. Thought ok let's give this a whirl. All in all very good, restaurant was small but that's ok, it was impeccably clean. Staff taking our order was super nice and helpful. So there is the question? Would we go back? Yes Food was fresh and delicious

Yelp
First time coming here, the restaurant is very clean, the prices are reasonable and the food is good. We ordered the Szechuan Chicken, Chicken Lo Main, and a cup of hot and sour soup and 2 spring rolls. Overall the food has good flavor, nice and fresh and good portions. The service was good, the server was attentive and helpful. Overall if you want fresh, tasty Chinese food this is a nice place.
