"My Loup may not be a budget-friendly oyster place (especially if you get them with the $110 seafood plateau), but the French restaurant makes high-end seafood worth it. We can’t imagine stopping by and not ordering a round, along with their clam- and pickled-shrimp friends. Because of its reputation for a good time in Rittenhouse, getting a reservation here can be tough. But you can always hover around the bar like a shark with a taste for tangy housemade mignonette until you scare someone else off. Wash an order down with a 50/50 martini that’s a touch sweet thanks to the rose vermouth, and feel a little fancy. Or, have two or three and play a game of “Who Wants My Number?” Cape May Salt & Sloop Oysters" - candis mclean
"Some restaurants take a few visits to become one of your go-tos. At Rittenhouse’s My Loup, it takes about five minutes. The French restaurant is an easy choice for an intimate date night, fun group dinner, or martini-fueled catch-up with friends. We can’t stop thinking about the creamy crab toast, scallop crudo with sweet bits of apple, and tender, perfectly cooked lamb shoulder. Like its sister restaurant, Her Place Supper Club, it’s a near-impossible reservation to get. But for a go-to like this, it’s worth whatever tactic you have to pull to dine here (even if it means joining the staff)." - candis mclean, alison kessler
"Some restaurants take a few visits to become one of your go-to spots. At Rittenhouse’s My Loup, it takes about five minutes. The French restaurant is an easy choice for a special date night, fun group dinner, or martini-fueled catch-up with friends. Like its sister restaurant, Her Place Supper Club, it’s tricky to get a reservation. But the decadent food—like the seafood towers and cold roast beef served with fries—is worth the hassle. (Or just put your name down for a spot at the bar.)" - candis mclean, alison kessler
"We’re partial to whatever comes out of this buzzy French restaurant’s kitchen in Rittenhouse. And that includes every banana sorbet, Teddy Graham cracker, or tangy rhubarb sundae they make. The dessert menu changes as often as the Phillies’ lineup, so you could come here every day of the week and have a sundae seven different ways. But they’ve got the creaminess-to-flavor ratio down pat, so it’s always a delightful surprise." - candis mclean
"This cozy Rittenhouse spot specializes in irresistible French food and good vibes. And while shrimp is incredible on its own, My Loup pickles them and serves them with creamy aioli and saltines. Whether you go the standard route and lay the shrimp on the cracker with a dollop of the garlicky spread, or you make a mini sandwich out of it, each bite will blow every other shrimp dish you’ve ever had out of the water (pun very much intended). The blend of tanginess, saltiness, and crispness is just too good. And we’ll add it to the list of the 100 reasons (and counting) why we’d come here every day if we could." - candis mclean, alison kessler
