If You Like These Miami Spots, Try These Broward Spots - Miami - The Infatuation

"Perfect if you like:FourTurns out, Four isn’t the only cafe/bookstore/occasional music venue/hard-to-define place in South Florida. You can find its fraternal twin in Dania Beach. The Broward version, though, is open six days a week and has a massive selection of CDs, records, and books to browse through. Four’s book selection is smaller (but the food is also much better). Still, both places have the patios, playlists, and a warm staff you secretly want to be friends with. It’s too easy to hang out at either until your butt gets sore." - Ryan Pfeffer, Mariana Trabanino

My Mama's Books Records & Cafe - Review - Dania Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"My Mama’s Cafe is the Dania Beach spiritual cousin of Miami’sFour. The purple cafe/local music venue/record store/book store has enough going on for you to spend an entire day here. Pick a reading nook that calls to you (we like the chair by the gardening books) and start reading about the punk bands responsible for making Miami cool in the ‘80s. When there’s not a band playing, it’s quiet, and the big tables make it a great place to get some work done. The small menu has the usual cafe options like quiches, turkey sandwiches, and a few pastries. They do the job if you get hungry during hour three of browsing the section of $1 CDs." - Mariana Trabanino

Such a great vibe! So chill great to grab a coffee and decompress with a friend. Tons of great books. Loved the chai latte. Enjoyed the turkey sandwich and the bagel with cream cheese. Highly recommend.

This is one of my favorite bookstores in South Florida. The layout is very cozy as a remote work or study space. They have a good combination of new and used books. The vinyl collection is also really extensive and a great resource to music fans. I really enjoyed the coffee and food their coffee shop. It’s little bit mighty.

I love this place! Just discovered it before my flight and it's amazing. Great vibes all around but the cafe con leche was one of the best I've had in south Florida. Love the decor and all the books and records!! I think they have some events too but idk. Got a caprese sandwich on sourdough and it was perfection! Toasted, pesto, fresh mozz and tomato! Wow.

I was really surprised by this small coffee shop. Very cozy on the inside with an eclectic feel. Enjoyed my coffee on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The books are a mix of new and used, with a good selection through most categories. But it is the vinyl selections that has me hooked. I ended up walking out with 10 new records, many I had been looking for a good while. I will definitely be back to visit on another Sunday afternoon.

Came in & couldn’t get over the atmosphere of this place. So mellow & laid back. Met the owner Julia she is so awesome & I really felt an incredible vibe here. Plus all her old records are for sale, the menu really cool. Wonderful place!

This place is great! We came here on a whim while on vacation by the beach. It was worth the Uber! We got coffee and the space was so cozy. My boyfriend found a book to buy because they had a good selection. We got our latte and americano for $10's total. The staff was super kind and attentive. We got to play tic-tac-toe while we sipped on our coffees and listened to nice music. Very relaxing and great ambiance.

My Mama's feels like just that! A comfortable, beautiful place to have a cup of coffee or tea, & feel at ease, at home. Every little nook is filled with sweet & delightful decor. Books & records galore! And if it is live music you long for, the search is over. My Mama's Books & Record Store has music most days of the week! Whether you do karaoke or open mic, & even if you want to listen, My Mama's features some of the finest original musicians around South Florida! Go & visit, & save your appetite for their delicious menu items! Bring the kids...there is a spot for them too.

Records, books, coffee, and excellent atmosphere, what else do you need? This is a wonderfully fun local bookstore combined with coffee shop and record store that also features live music. There’s a healthy mix of new and used books, records, and even CDs. They had live musicians playing which was such a nice touch. As far as the coffee setup, I had a pot of tea that was presented nicely. Looks like they have standard coffee shop options with some small snack style dishes and breakfast foods. They have a good selection of books and music, with a lot of different genres. I really appreciated the Florida-centric book display with some local themed books! There’s easy free parking around the building. They have some seating throughout including a colorful kid’s seating area in the back, high top tables, bar seats along the cafe area, low top tables by the front, a couch with nearby arm chairs, and outdoor seating in the back.
