Stopped in while waiting on our flight. Very accommodating, kind and helpful! Coffee was great, and atmosphere was nice. Good selection of books and records. New and used. Sandwiches available and other food choices. Highly Recommended-MVP

Mutual aid repro health items (morning after pill, pregnancy tests, male and female condoms, period products) available for free in the bathroom. Great, peaceful vibe in this cafe-bar-bookstore-record store. Latte was excellent too. I needed to fill 3 hours one afternoon and couldn't have imagined a better spot to do it in.

Oh this place is a gem. The food is simple but delicious. They have such an amazing range of books and records. The people working there are warm and friendly. They even have free women’s health products in the bathroom. This is truly an amazing cafe and I’m so happy I walked in. The icing on the cake is them playing old school reggae. I can tell that I’ll be coming here on the regular.

An absolute gem! The atmosphere is incredible — it makes you slow down, relax, enjoy a coffee, and dive into a good book. I visited for the first time today, but I’m sure it will become my new favorite third place. Looking forward to coming back. Thank you!

A cool little coffee shop just below Fort Lauderdale. They carry records and books. My friend and I sat for some coffee and danishes. They also have a small menu of quick food items. Unfortunately, I didn’t explore that much. Possibly next time when I go, I will do that. A small selection of Records. It didn’t take very long for me to go through that. I’m assuming they restock once a week. They also have a glass case that holds a few hard to find Records. The prices seem very fair for Record pricing in this day and age. From what I gather on Thursday nights, they have an open Mic. The type of place that you can just go chill unwind drink your coffee have a snack and conversation. Would go there again.

The very best cafe! Am a constant satisfied customer. So happy it’s in my neighborhood! We needed something like this cafe for years! Gracious, staff always ready to help. Julia is a talented owner to have put this idea Into reality. Relaxing, non hurried place to have a bite, tea or coffee; a meeting or small gathering. All together a great place!

My Mama's is a FABULOUS local bookstore that carries one of the best collections of vinyl I've seen in a very long time! This is not your chain Barnes and Noble - and that's such a great quality! Loved exploring lots of cool Bands, alternative authors and some incredible used gems. And yes, I also found my girly beach read. I did embarrass my kids with an erotic comedy vinyl purchase that may soon be framed (to their continued embarrassment). We also had lunch, and the quiche was incredible! Super flaky crust, and the perfect ratio of broccoli (mini sized) to egg/cheese. The vinaigrette with the salad was superb. Add in a glass of Prosecco and all my book store dreams were fulfilled. Teenagers loved their pastries and smoothie. The eclectic vibe here isn't to be missed! I had so much fun exploring and the staff was incredible!

My Mama's is a neat spot! If only because they have a cafe cat!! While their menu is pretty expansive generally, I was actually expecting more speciality caffeinated drinks. And I was also surprised at the prices - it was over $16 for two plain lattes, which were average. So I wouldn't return here for their drinks, but I liked the atmosphere. The used books/vinyls are also past the usual price point, so expect to spend double digits on almost everything. Think of the shelves as more of a "clearance section" instead of "thrifty". There are some exceptions, like the $1 CDs by the bar. There are lots of community events and live music hosted in the main space, so I'd love to give this place another go when there's a different energy. Or when I have lots of work to do (because at that point you're paying for the space and the drink).

My Mama's is my personal favorite bookstore in Broward. It's a café, record store, and bookstore all rolled into one offering new and used collectibles. There's an eclectic retro vibe, and it's the third space I've been looking for. My LGBT+ friends will feel safe here (I spotted more than a few pride flags!). I always leave with something new to read or a gift for a friend. I haven't tried much of their food, but I liked their veggie sandwich and iced matcha latte. 5 stars

Pros: Excellent vibe, friendly staff, chill music, great selection of books and records. What a gem! The food was also delicious. Cons: I had a bit of a hard time finding it at night, the main entrance isn't on the Main Street, but it's easy to find once you go around the block. Will definitely return.

super cute little spot! hidden gem, i had a double shot vanilla iced latte and an avocado toast. the coffee was amazing and the avocado toast was super yummy. the atmosphere and environment is nice and homey, very cute inside and a great selection of books and vinyls. they have a lot of used books, vinyls, and cd's for a bargain as well. they have bands and live music come in. i'm a sucker for a good coffee spot and i'd definitely come back anytime i'm in the area

Very thankful that this unique and eclectic place exists. On the surface, it's a bookstore/vinyl store/cafe with friendly service and simple but well-prepared food and drink, but on a deeper level, it's a place where community is created. I've only been for the Tuesday night open mics, which are totally relaxed and welcoming, but they also have game nights, karaoke events, and more (I need to more fully explore the schedule). It may not be for everyone, but it's well worth stopping in to see if it suits your vibe.

Was in the area thrifting and decided to pop in here, it is definitely a hole in the wall. When you walk in the cafe is the first thing you see, then you see the collection of vinyls and there is even a separate room for the books. They have a wide range of collection of books from kids to young adults to adults, many different genres. They have vinyls ranging from brand new music to original classics. I only got a hot chocolate since its a little chilly outside but it was pretty good. Everything is reasonably priced I will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful relaxing interior. Lots of room and cozy spaces. Reasonable prices. Coffee was delicious, but atmosphere wins the day here. Lots of mismatch, eclectic books, pleasant background music

My husband and I stumbled upon this place when looking for a coffee shop with WiFi. So glad we did! It's spacious, comfy, good drinks, and kind staff. Definitely will return and I love seeing small biz like this with funky mismatched chairs, indie vibes. Love it.

I never knew this place existed until my friend invited me to see her family perform in bands. It is a little treasure. Very comfortable, laid back atmosphere. The sound was good, employees friendly. They had a nice food menu. I ordered the tater tots and they were crispy and tasty. They have open mic night every Tuesday. I would definitely want to come again.

Great spot! Books, coffee, vinyl, and a wonderful atmosphere!! I found a comfortable spot in the corner, logged into the WiFi, enjoyed a great chai latte, and banged out a couple of pages of writing. Little did I know that it was also karaoke night! I stuck around another hour just to enjoy the fun. I will definitely be back to the beautiful little shop!!

If you're in the area , this is a must for things to do! I had a dirty chai while I walked around and searched through the treasure of records in the store. I narrowed the amazing finds down to just two records to take home. I was able to sit down for a cookie and conversation with the wonderful staff! I will be back again!

Fantastic spot, great selection of books and records. And really delicious sandwiches and salads and quiche with lots of spots to sit and relax. Enjoyed a well crafted iced matcha latte with lunch last time in!

What a wonderful place. Took me back to the 70's. Records, books, Latte and quiche. I walked in and All my stress was released. I'm not front the area but definitely will.be back.

Such an adorable place, I absolutely love it here! They have a lot older selection of books and records but if you're into that stuff then this is the place for you. They have lots of space and seating. They even have some board games to play. A great place to spend an afternoon with friends just talking, chilling, and looking around. I can't wait to go back!

Came in for a coffee and a band was playing. This shop is a lovely vibe and great coffee!

Such a fun place to hang out if you need to get work done or just casual viewing. The staff are always so kind and relaxed and if you get bored then you can walk a few feet over to the book area and find your new (inexpensive) book

This place is a GEM! I was so pleasantly surprised to stumble upon it after living in the area for over a decade. The staff is friendly and kind, and the veggie sandwich I ordered was a perfect balance of freshness and flavors. I also ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and it was lovely. The space itself is quite impressive-a great spot to browse the books and records and take in the ambience.

What an awesome place. You would never even know it existed if you didn't just find it! Tuesday night's is Open Mic night and the other nights (closed on Monday) there's more music and fun. The gentleman who runs sound for the music is outstanding! As a musician, when the sound is bad everything is bad. NOT the case with My Mama's. Sound is spot on! The food is simple but delicious. Beer, Wine, Smoothies, coffee, desserts, and more. And books and records...yes...vinyl records galore! What an awesome place. So glad I discovered it and plan to return often.

My boyfriend and I like going to bookstore/café/record shops, whenever we travel. This was definitely one of our favorite places that we've been to that has all those characteristics. A very quiet yet comfy joint with a very welcoming staff. Adrian was very welcoming and told us about the things they offer at the store. Not only are they a shop, but they also do community engagement like open mics and book clubs. We will definitely be visiting again if we are ever in Fort Lauderdale.
