Philip Speer’s Restaurant Bonhomie Is Now Closed - Eater Austin
"Speer also ran a coffee and breakfast trailer My Name Is Joe Coffee Co. in February 2017, which donated a portion of its sales towards Serenity Star Recovery’s donation-based restaurant Comfort Cafe in Smithville, as well as hired staffers from the program. The trailer shuttered in March because he wanted to focus on fundraising for the program." - Nadia Chaudhury
Philip Speer Is Opening a New Downtown Restaurant - Eater Austin
"My Name Is Joe Coffee Co. opened in February 2017 with the goal of helping recovering addicts where partial sales were donated to Serenity Star Recovery’s Comfort Cafe in Smithville. It’s a mission that is important to Speer (who is in recovery himself). While the trailer shuttered last month, Speer will continue to raise funds for Comfort through events and dinners." - Nadia Chaudhury
Loved their ham & cheese tartine. Plus, it does not hurt to have a table to sit outside in downtown Austin in Spring. Would recommend, very friendly people too.
