Google
They have added more pinball machines, some games are free...more open room between tables and now you order at a counter (but your food is brought to you) and wait staff still checks on customers at the tables. Large selection of comic books...some collectibles and 2 for $1 with some freebies. The environment is good for families with kids..there are good kids meals. Fun place that is even better than the last time I brought a group there!

Google
Went here for an easy dinner and beers while playing some games. Great pinball machines. Well maintained and great selection. They have a few other games like battle pac man and Tekken. Not a huge crowd so we were able to play a lot. Easy to pay as they take quarters and dollars and you can scan. Great draft beer selection. Bar or patio seating. Friendly service. Simple but tasty food. I had a pimento grilled cheese with tomatoes and bacon with the seasonal veggies ..braised cabbage. Everything was great and I would go back for a casual night out and dinner.

Google
We didn't stay to eat but it was a very versatile place! The assortment of pinball games was amazing and a great comic book shop too! My 2 teenage boys had a blast!

Google
This place was phenomenal!! Loved the low key vibe and set up. Lots of pinball machines to try out. Make sure you come with some cash/change. So much fun with a group of friends! They also had comic books and some art. The food was surprisingly delicious! I loved their JJ burger and hush puppies, so yum. They had a nice selection of drinks at the bar as well. Really enjoyed their IPAs. Service was great, everyone was friendly, a low key vibe with lots of different people. Can't wait to come back again and introduce my friends

Google
The ambiance of this bar is certainly unique! This place is like the lovechild of a pinball arcade, comic book shop, and bar/eatery. The food and drinks were very satisfying and in my opinion, reasonably priced. The staff AND patrons were all super pleasant and friendly! I really enjoyed my visit here and would highly recommend coming in if my description piques your curiosity!

Google
I love this place. The games, the ambiance and the staff are all great. Also a good beer section is good. Sadly that's where it ends. My wife and I got cocktails and food last night and it was not great. I got the Nashville chicken sandwich and it was sad. Just 2 small pieces of chicken between 2 buns... no sauce, no other items... that's it and the tots (tots were good thou). Cocktails are small and unexciting. Again, I love this place. Food use to be better. Probably won't eat here again. But I'll come back for the vibes.

Google
Tonight I decided to treat my husband to a fun night of gaming and so I found my Parent’s Basement. I thought it would be a lot of fun! Well we ordered chicken tenders and a burger and I am sad to say I was completely disappointed. The chicken fingers seemed to be breaded in some type of coating which I think may have been hush puppy. The medium ordered burger was overcooked and the bacon was burnt! The games were average and the ambiance was very nice! I don’t think we will return but it seemed quite welcoming.

Google
Such a cool combo of a restaurant, comic book store, arcade, and bar, although it makes it very easy to burn through some money. Salads are solid. Some of the older arcade games are free; others need quarters. They stock local plus hard to find national beers. And they cover both graphic novels and single comic issues.

Yelp
It's my last day in Atlanta and I plan to check out the Georgia Aquarium and Coca-Cola World, but a busted city Water Main closed them down! Im a Mega-Nerd, so I found this place that hit all the basics: Star Wars stuff - Check! Comic Books - Check! Video Games/Pinball - Check! What I wasn't expecting was to be blown away by the Vegan Ruben! Incredible flavor but more impressive was the perfect texture with the nicely toasted bread and gooey insides that will have your tongue telling you it's real meat!. Best of all, something about that incredible sandwich gave the power to achieve my highest score ever on Godzilla! Thanks to the My Parents Basement Nerds for putting this place on the map, and caring about all the things we care about. Now how can I talk you into opening one up in Southern California?

David D.

Yelp
Love this place! So, being from Austin it's hard to find any pinball spot that can top Pinballz. So, when traveling, I try to find cool spots with machines and this is prolly the best place in Atlanta (near Atlanta?). It has pinball, arcade games, COMIC BOOKS, a kitchen and full bar. Also also also, glancing at their cork board they have pinball tourney's, art nights, etc. Staff was incredible. We had a slight issue with our meal that our server was quick to address and unbeknownst to us, they took one of our drinks of our tab. Our bbq burger was tasty and the tots were perfect. Also, they have a wide selection of local and non-local beers. They have about 12-14 pinball machines, including some of my favs; Godzilla, Batman n Robin (the old tv show themed one), and foo fighters. I believe they have a list of their machines online. This is a great spot to hang out at by yourself or with a group of friends. I highly recommend it!

Nisha B.

Yelp
I didn't try the food or drink here, but my review is based off of the amazing ambience and unique concept of the place. When you walk in there is a selection of comic books and a wide variety of video games and pinball machines. I had a lot of fun playing the games which were free sometimes or about a dollar in other cases. The staff are nice and they don't pressure you to buy anything so you can really just go there for the vibes. Thought they had a really nice outdoor patio too which could be a fun place to hang out.

Kandus J.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place! Phenomenal food, great drinks, pinball, outdoor patio, vegan and vegetarian options plus comic books! This place has got it all and is unlike any bar around. Top notch service, reasonable prices and flavorful food! Any adult or kid would have a blast here!

Sean H.

Yelp
I swear this place gets better with every visit. This time around I brought a friend from our home country of Trinidad and he spent the first few minutes walking around with his eyes bugging out and his hand over his mouth. He definitely found his nirvana. I got a German beer equivalent of a Blue Moon on tap and it was excellent and wandered a bit while he chit-chatted with everyone. It's such a great space with comics and comic themed stuff like pinball machines, arcade consoles (X-Men, hell yeah) and posters everywhere. The staff are really nice and super chill too. Alex was our server and she was great. The food really surprised me with how simple and good it was. My buddy had nachos and a burger and was really happy with both. My appetizer was the Hush Puppies with Remoulade; that sauce kicked it up to a whole other level. So so good. My entrée was the Cashew Butter Bacon and Jelly Sandwich with a side of Mashed Potatoes. That sandwich had no business being that good and the mashed potatoes were fantastic too. Great food. Great place. Great company to share it with. We shall return.

Yelp
This place was on our must see list for a recent trip to Atlanta and it did not disappoint. We spent all afternoon there and didn't even end up getting food which we had planned on - we were having such a great time playing pinball, shopping comics and just hanging out at the bar. I had really been looking forward to some of the vegan options on the menu, but I guess we'll just have to make it back someday! This place is totally chill and exactly what you'd want it to be for a hang out spot. On the one hand $1 a play is a bit stiff but it was nice to not have to worry about stuffing your pockets with quarters and just using dollar bills in the machines. Overall, tons of fun and not to be missed.

Yelp
My Parent's Basement is a go-to social destination for locals, and video game/ comic book fans ITP. It's the first place we met an old friend who has a career in film/TV special effects: his pick. You place your order at the counter, and they bring it to your table: nothing is more perfect for meeting up with group. No tedious check splitting needed. Very popular restaurant- and for good reason: there's something for everyone. Even if you just want to house kettle chips and beer. It's worth noting that their salads are delicious: the house with cashews, green apple & blue cheese is so satisfying that I have yet to try the other two choices (spinach, goat cheese, pickled red onion) and a Caesar with tomato (my kind of heaven). If you love salads, you know that they can go very wrong in a "bar food" setting- either anemic, dodgy bowls of wilt with plastic packet dressing - or "salads" that are so full of meat, cheese, novelty fried things that they are clearly designed for someone for whom "salad" = punishment. They have a good range of vegan and vegetarian options ( as well as gluten free). Check out their daily specials: they usually have a vegan option, & it is RELIABLY good. Like, I just went to a friend's house and they prepared something special & delicious for me from scratch- that good. (it almost pains me to give this tip because the regulars *know* the specials- all of them- are great, so they often sell out.) Stand outs: the Shay fish filet sandwich, tater tots, the vegan jalapeño hush puppies with remoulade, vegan tofu curry - and their burgers are also good. The vegan gyro was disappointing, but sine there is such an abundance of options, not a big deal. Beer, cider and mixed drink selections are solid, and reasonably priced. Serve yourself water makes everything very chill- please be aware, the waiters are busy, and the kitchen can get slammed, so relax!! Most seating is inside, two stone fireplaces keep it cozy in the winter. Lots of pinball machines & arcade games inside, along with a bar, and a comic shop. A good place to come solo - or meet friends. Great neighborhood vibe. If it was a person, it would be a person who knows who they are, is easy to get along with, has no judgement, and always serves yummy comfort food.

Yelp
A great spot to have a beer and play some pinball! I had a really good time here. The staff and patrons are all very friendly. Tons of games to play, and good food as well. I wish it wasn't such an expensive trip from downtown.

Will E.

Yelp
Great food and good prices. Well-curated beer selection. Free unlimited classic video games helps to kill hours, especially with young kids. Small but distinguished pinball selection (not free). Comics, DnD dice and accessories, Funko and other collectibles available for purchase. Indoor and outdoor seating; most outdoor seating is covered and can be heated when cold outside. Relaxed, no frills atmosphere.

NiCo R.

Yelp
Great comics, arcade games, beer on tap AND vegan options?! Super cool vibes! Ordered the vegan reuben and it was awesome! The bread was thick and perfectly toasted & the fries were on point too! I will be back. Make sure you actually need to pay before you play - some arcade games are free!

Yelp
While in Atlanta, we were looking for something fun and unusual, and came upon this place. What a fun evening. We started out with some food which we were pleasantly surprised was quite good. And a great environment sitting out on the porch. I got the pimento cheese grilled sandwich and she tried to chicken tenders. For quick bites they do a very good job with their food. We had a great time playing pinball. The staff and other patrons were all very polite. I wish they had someplace like this where I live. A great place for date night or a fun family place.

Shehan P.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday on a whim, what a cool vibe! I honestly didn't appreciate the detail behind the pinball machines at first, but they have great detail and creativity which made it fun and interesting. The service was also very polite. Beware of using quarters because they'll get stuck but the staff helped deal with these issues. Cool beer selection from local breweries.

Alexandra N.

Yelp
Quality establishment ran by welcoming people. I had a grand time playing pinball, the staff supplied amazing service. Good drinks and food, WILL be returning

Charlton M.

Yelp
If drinks and, comics are your thing this is most definitely the place for you! Wife almost completed her birds of pray comic collection while we tried a few beers. Staff was very attentive and, friendly.

Anthony P.

Yelp
Recently visited My Parent's Basement. First off, if you're even remotely a gamer, into comics, a Pinhead or just like good company and conversation, this is the place for you. The staff and the people just hanging out that I met there were super friendly and made me feel like I was a regular. Not to mention the ambience made me, a gamer and comic nut, feel like I'd found a second home Food portions were large enough that I could only do 2 appetisers and tasted good too. The staff were super cool and fun even that late at night. Even saw an instance where someone complained about too much salt on their nachos and the girl who took care of them was super cool and accommodating. All in all this is now one of my fave places to visit. Just go with a smile and an open mind ready to talk about anything from Street Fighter to Star Wars to The Dark Knight and you wont even notice the time passing

Sarah K.

Yelp
Super fun vibes! We went for drinks which were great and did not expect such great food. The little comic book shop is also fun to walk through.

Rachel B.

Yelp
Super cool spot!! This type of place is place is unique these days. Plenty of old school arcade games plus a bar?! That means everyone of all ages will stay entertained! There are tons of comics to either sit and read while enjoying a drink, or for purchase. There's also a bin of free comics near the front door! Did I mention a pretty robust menu, WITH delicious vegan options??? Yum! Better than your average bar food. Now, I have to say I didn't enjoy the vegan Ruben sandwich as much as some other reviewers (I wish it had more sauerkraut and more sauce), but the flavor was wonderful, and the bread was cooked perfectly crispy. I look forward to going back and trying the other vegan options!

Barry G.

Yelp
I'm not a comic fan, I'm not great at pinball, and I wasn't sure if I'd like the place... but we worked nearby and I fell in love with My Parent's Basement. Excellent food, drinks, and so many fun people looking for some fun and relaxation.

RNelle S.

Yelp
I didn't care for the ambience. The food was horrible. I never need to go back there again. It just wasn't my vibe.

Audrey B.

Yelp
When you go in it's an arcade and comic bar which is defiantly circa 1980 somewhere. The back is eating area. You order and they will bring it to your table. We went for a brunch and I enjoyed the mimosa's. This place is defiantly an experience.

Sandeep G.

Yelp
A very nice place for some good comfort food and a great selection of beer on the tap. The restaurant offers patio seating but do go inside as there you will find a comic book store and a video game arcade!. The best part of the restaurant is that you are not rushed and have a very relaxed meal.

Keith F.

Yelp
I'm no pinball wizard, but I've drawn to pinball places, in every vacation spot I travel to. Vegas has the pinball museum, Myrtle Beach, Tarpon Springs, pinball portal in Acworth, Joystick Gamebar and Manuel's Tavern in Atlanta. I can't wait to take my wife to this place in Decatur. Great craft beers. If you're into comic books and craft beers, you need to check this place out.

Lance K.

Yelp
Bar food is totally on point. Drinks are great. Friendly and attentive staff. But what I and the kids really come here for is the amazing pinball selection, free videos games, and comic books. This place is magic.

Gerard I.

Yelp
What a cool place. Nuff said. Tbh that's the tldr. You walk in and I guess I thought this was a comic book shop, but wait, it's got much much more. The comics are old school and while stacked on top of one another in different bins they are quite the scavenger hunt to bring back the memories. They have all the classics from marvel, dc, and beyond, though no anime or such sections. Then there's the games, I haven't played pin ball in a minute but they have a lot of those out there and it's real old school. Then you are busy working through the comics, you get the reps in, your muscles are aching, because who knew comics weighted so much and just like that you swipe your credit card and enjoy a vegan hot dog and mac and cheese. What a place. They thought of everything. The vegan hot dog was dope! Cannot say enough about how amazing that was and the mac and cheese 10/10. Would come back for the full experience anytime.

Chris S.

Yelp
Setting the arcade aside, the beer list and food are really exceptional, and the bartenders are very friendly. Pinball and throwback games are just the icing on the cake

Lauren G.

Yelp
The Basics: My Parents Basement is located in Avondale Estates. It is a spot with a very casual vibe, games available to play at your table, a great beer selection, and it even includes a small comic book store and some arcade games. This spot also features a large outdoor patio. The great beer menu is also accompanied by menu of classic neighborhood bar foods like burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Things I like: I love spending the night at My Parents' Basement with friends. I can always rely on it for comfort food and a huge beer selection. I also enjoy that it isn't often very crowded here, so you never have to worry about a reservation or waiting for a table. I have really enjoyed that they have games available for guests to play and they never rush you through your meal. Some of the food items that I often get at My Parents' Basement are the House Wrap, Caesar salad, and I love the tater tots. Things I didn't like: Nothing! It's a staple for me! Overall, I love this spot for a great meal and drinks with friends. It is a no fuss spot and it is great when you are wanting a chill night out. I have always enjoyed the food and for those who love beer, you need to check out the vast beer menu!

Alexa B.

Yelp
This place is JUST PLAIN FUN! Starting simple-- The food. Your basic pub food but done well. The last time I was there is was cold and rainy and I got the meatloaf sandwich. It was wonderful! No mushy breadcrumb loaf here! It was meaty and savory and flavorful with a great sauce and griddled bun. Crispy tater tots and a surprisingly decent whiskey selection! ((It's a short selection, but not bad!)) Their beer selection is also impressive, though I personally am not a beer drinker. This is a great place to get a delicious meal or a great burger! Now let's talk about what REALLY makes this place special... IT'S ALL YOUR 80-90's CHILDHOOD LOVES IN ONE PLACE!!! Pinball, comics, boardgames... You can hunt for that missing Spiderman comic for your collection while sipping a beer! Buy a pack of Munchkin and sit out on the patio with your friends snacking and playing... They have a wicked trivia night that will make you question your geek-dom! Everything about this place is nostalgia reimagined and just makes you feel good inside! It's hard to be moody when your surrounded by so many joyful things and have a decent bar at your disposal! And parents, don't let the bar throw you off, this place is just as much fun for kids as it is kids at heart!

Steve H.

Yelp
Awesome spot! Food is really good and caters to all eating habits. Games are fun and so is the atmosphere. Very friendly place, too. I love it, and so does the family!

Gabrielle G.

Yelp
VERY UNWELCOMING ENVIRONMENT! I surprised my boyfriend by taking him here for date night. Very dimly lit place with yellow lights, feels old. Not a big place, felt kinda stuffy. Would not recommend for date nights. Crowd was mostly older adults, which made me feel out of place in my early 20s. They also did not take Apple Pay. Though this place stuck true to its name, it did indeed feel like my parents basement.

7531monkey ..

Yelp
Chicken fingers tasted like unseasoned hush puppy, not the juicy panko strips I remember. What gives? Cant go back for this anymore.

Charles S.

Yelp
If you like comic books, good food at a decent price and booze this is the place for you!!!

Maugan L.

Yelp
This is the finest bar in Atlanta, and one of the my favorite in the world. The staff are great, there's a good selection of beers, local and from further afield, and the food is far better than typical bar food!; they have a strong selection of homemade vegan options, alongside fabulous burgers. Oh yeah, and you can play their immaculately maintained pinball machines, or buy graphic novels. I love the place!

Lindsey C.

Yelp
Delicious vegan options, pinball, and a certain self awareness that invites you to be yourself. My heart is warm. Take yourself on a date here.

Janos J.

Yelp
So one of my good friends today said do you want to visit "My Parents Basement" ? and I am like what??? Why the heck would I want to visit your parent's basement? No, it is a cool restaurant with awesome pinball machines and other games... Ohhh okay... We stopped on by, this place is awesome for anyone who is a 1980's or below. I worked as a bartender and never was a big fan of televisions, but, almost every single bar one could ever visit is full of televisions. It keeps patrons sipping on their drinks and keeps them there for hours watching television. My Parents' Basement does not have any televisions in their bar, which means if you visit, you will be talking to the bartender or strangers next to you, how amazing is that? I love deep conversations... The waiting staff was very friendly and overall the food was good and is priced well. Everyone at our table enjoyed all of their food, even the kids. They have really cool retro art, comic figures, pinball machines ($1 per play, or $2 for 3 plays) and a few older games that are free to play. For comic readers, they have tons of retro comics that are only $1 each (these are like 20-30 years old and in mint condition). If you are in the area, definitely come check these guys out. If you love beer, they have a massive beer collection from lots of local breweries that I did not even know existed. They are awesome!!! [Review #585] (11th Review of 2019)

Bruce K.

Yelp
More reactive pinball machines here at My Parent's Basement as well as a full bar and a decent menu of food, we stopped in to play games and hang out for a bit. It's a neat place and the comics/merchandise for sale is very cool. Not just recently printed but a few older ones on sale too. The games we found and played are a buck each, which is high for a pinball game with only three shots. They are higher end and have a lot more going on but still... a dollar each? Neat spot for a top and would be even better to sit outside in better weather. [Review 10563 overall, 330 of 2019.]

Kamille B.

Yelp
Amazing !! Love the food and drinks but if you are a gamer especially old school and like comics this is the place for you ! Staff was super sweet and helpful! Great atmosphere! We will definitely be back

Lisa H.

Yelp
If you are an individual who enjoys comic books/graphic novels, arcade games, pinball, pub grub, and beer, My Parents' Basement is your kind of establishment. I randomly ended up here and had a fine time despite not being particularly into the aforementioned activities. I liked the mellow nature of My Parents' Basement. Played one game on the Deadpool pinball machine for a buck, and that was fun. Parking was available on both sides of the building though the bigger lot is on the west side. Family-friendly. And apparently vegan-friendly since I saw a beet burger and a mysterious item called "vegan dessert" on the menu. My Parents' Basement bills itself as "Your Friendly Neighborhood Comic Book Bar," and I'd have to say that's pretty accurate.

Musica B.

Yelp
My new favorite place ! I got both hamburger helper and hummus plate and totally enjoyed both ! The atmosphere is so lay back. Will go back soon with friends who enjoy drinking as drink menu would delight them! Next time I will happily try the pimento grilled cheese sandwich ! :-)

Jorelle L.

Yelp
What a fun treasure near Atlanta. We stopped as a halfway point en route to North Carolina with my son. The food was really good and they have vegetarian options. I was surprised how quality the food was when it seems more like a game and toy shop than a restaurant. The pinball machines were super fun. Any kid who loves comics and geek stuff will love this place.

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
I love this place so much!! It truly has all our faves in one spot. Comics, pinball and arcade video games and most excellent tunes. And the best food!!! Their vegan Reuben is out of this world. Great beverages too and impressive NA beer list too!! Super nice folks working there too. Cannot wait to go back again soon!!

Kim D.

Yelp
Great spot! What a unique concept- having a comic book store with a bar and restaurant. Each space feels fully done and intentional it's not like it's one that happens to have the other. Food was good. They have good vegan options and kid options. Definitely recommend!

Tiff H.

Yelp
After a disappointing dinner in the Toco Hills area, we were hoping for some redemption dessert and booze. My Parents' Basement is located in what didn't seem to be the safest part of town. But it's just Avondale Estates! I probably won't be strolling the streets here alone at night. My Parents' Basement is an eclectic comic book shop combined with a bar/restaurant. We each ordered draft craft beers and a bread pudding to share. The bread pudding is HUGE and for $4? A steal! It was simple and nothing special, but really hit the spot. There were quite a few beers on their draft list - it doesn't rival the Taco Mac list but it's got a good selection. The comic books and paraphernalia are pretty awesome. I'm not a huge comic book follower, but found a great variety. After exploring the comics, we found our way behind the book shelves to the arcade games. Unlike other arcade bars, these games are all free!! We played some Super Mario (honestly, probably the only game I know how to play) before venturing back to our seats. I was pretty full from dinner, but the food menu looks pretty good. Next time, I'll have to check out the Kimcheese sandwich!

Jama Xarago M.

Yelp
Food not great.. Good comic store and bar..hope they improve and hire better cook/chef..

Rizwan P.

Yelp
What you need to know: This is primarily a beer bar, but they are fully stocked with all types of liquor. Also, be prepared for a comic book shop in the middle of the venue and loud noises coming from pinball machines. Heard so much about this place that I finally decided to try it. Food: I only had the fries but they were amazing! Crispy outside, soft inside, and perfectly salted. Drink: My friend took full advantage of their beers on the tap list, while I opted to just go with a straight glass of whiskey on the rocks. Didn't have any complaints here. Service: It was a slow time (we went during lunch), so our bartender didn't have much to do besides serving us, but with that said she was amazing. Always available, gave great input on their selections, and very prompt and courteous. Ambience: It lives up to its "comic book bar" vibe with tons of posters of alternative shows or comic book characters (shout-out to them for including Anime with the Akira poster). The comic book section in the bar is awesome with games to play as well! Feels like a very divey-type bar for nerds, love it! Price: I paid about $22 for two beers, a whiskey, and fries. Not too bad for the area in my opinion. All in all this place looked amazing and seemed to have solid food. I'll definitely be back soon to try more!

Vicki N.

Yelp
The concept of this place is awesome!! Comic books, arcade games, alcohol and food?!?! I visited on a weekend around lunch time, and it wasn't super full but they were a good amount of ppl here already. We browsed the selection of comics first, then we sat at the bar to order some food. I ordered the huge pancake stuffed with eggs and bacon. It was good!! But man it's huge, so I couldn't finish it. There's so much stuff to look at like action figures and memorabilia. So cool! I would definitely come back again.

Lindsay W.

Yelp
What a great family-friendly establishment!! I was blown away. From outside, it looks kind of small and dark...like a basement, but once inside, it's totally different. The bar is a wrap around bar and there are lots of tables inside and on the fully enclosed patio. The patio also has two fire places which is really nice when it is cold out. We sat on the patio and they have a ton of board games and puzzles which is so much better than the standard crayons for kids. The kids menu is on the same one sided menu as the regular meals. Inside they have a ton of comic books for sale and they are organized nicely. However... what makes this place awesome is the pinball machines and video games. They aren't free, but totally fine with me. $10 lasted each kid about 30 minutes or so and we made them wait until after they finished eating. As far as the menu, nothing fancy. Apps, burgers, some sandwiches, some unique sides. We got the nachos to start and they were pretty awesome. I had the soup of the day which was tomato basil and it was good. Kids loved the burger and tots. Hubs had to the falafel and said it tasted like french toast a little. Hey, who doesn't like a little french toast once in a while. The place was busy at 4:45 and just kept getting busier. Service was running well and it's nice hat you can get up from your table, play video games, and the come back. I can't wait to try brunch!!

Yelp
Great place for brunch or a weekend lunch. This is a very unique restaurant with a comic book shop. There is an option to sit indoors or outdoors. On a good spring or fall day you can get a table outside and enjoy the weather. The food is excellent. We ordered some beers and crunchy black eyed peas. The beers and sours that they serve are local. We ordered the Dillon and fries and a vegan gyro with tater tots. The quantity of food is huge and we almost couldn't finish the food! The gyro was super flavorful and I highly recommend it if you are a vegan. The Dillon was super cheesy and yummy. The fries were right out of the fryer and amazing but I highly recommend the tater tots. They have the best tater tots! Overall a very unique restaurant with a fun vibe. I highly recommend this place if you are In Avondale!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. I love Avondale Estates and hoped that this could become a regular spot, unfortunately that's not the case at all. I had a salad, fries and a Diet Coke. The salad was flavorless and barely decent. The fries (how can you mess up fries right?!) were blah- again flavorless. I tried to get a refill of Diet Coke for at least 20 minutes which speaks to the level of engagement our server had in our table. Disappointing!

Yelp
I didn't know I needed My Parents' Basement until I went, and now I can't imagine life without it. Great beer selection, great pinball selection, and great comics selection. Fantastic combination of three things I really enjoy, and imagine that, they ARE better together.
