Best Bars and Restaurants in South Lake Tahoe | Eater SF

"For something affordable that’s not pub food, My Thai Cuisine is a popular, cozy spot located on South Lake Tahoe’s main drag. Service is quick, which is a good thing because My Thai’s tables fill up quickly. The menu features all the essential Thai dishes — and their curries, the hangover noodles, Tom Kha soup, and papaya salad are all stand-out favorites." - Julie Brown Davis

This cute little restaurant was a very big hit! It was a packed house! Lots of locals and travelers come to this place. The service was exceptional! The food was amazing! Definitely will come back here when we do vacation in Tahoe again!

Google
Who knew some of the best Thai food in the Bay Area would be in Tahoe?! HIGHLY recommend this place. Some of the best dishes we had (not pictured, too busy eating) Appetizers: crab Rangoon (11/10), my Thai hot wings (11/10). Pad See Ew with chicken: the best I’ve ever had Spicy basil fried rice

Michael Kawamoto

Google
Hands down the best Thai food I've ever had. The food and atmosphere was very authentic and the service was so incredible. This is going to be our go to dinner place whenever we come back. Definitely recommend the hangover noodle. Can't wait to try the rest of their dishes 😋

Luke

Google
The Thai food here met expectations but didn’t quite impress. Flavors were decent and portions fair, but nothing really stood out. A solid choice if you’re nearby, but not something I’d go out of my way for.

Google
Tasty Thai food, not just in the area, but everywhere! Great pan frying skill and wok-hey! Not excessively sweet, Americanized Thai food, but authentic Thai food. - hangover noodles 5/5 - pad thai (a little too sweet but tasty still) 4/5 - Thai fried rice 4.5/5 - Panang curry 5/5 Highly recommend!

Google
My Thai Cuisine is a good choice for delicious Thai food! While the space felt a bit cramped, the quality of the dishes definitely made up for it. Highly recommend if you're craving good Thai.

Google
The vibe and decoration are very very nice, giving you a good feeling of Thailand. The service is also great. They give the kid some fruit treat once sitting down. Though made a mistake for our order and they quickly fixed it and apologized. The food is fine. I won’t rate it as amazing as some really wonderful spots we had before in Bay Area and Las Vegas. But it is not bad. And their meat to carbonhydrates ratio in a single dish is pretty generous, honestly. I was looking for noodles in my Hangover noodle but only found more chicken. Haha that is very nice. Overall 5 stars. Definitely worth a visit.

Google
First step in to My Thai Cuisine Lake Tahoe, we can see Thailand authentic decorations, it really give the Thai traditional vibe. For food, we particularly love tom yum cream soup and crab fried rice. we would like to give 5 ⭐️ for these two dishes. definitely will comeback for these super delicious food 😋😋😋

Yelp
This place is extremely busy. Book ahead! Loved the food and beautifully presented desserts. Service was prompt and on point. Ambience feels like one is in the beautiful Thailand, calm and serene. Limited parking available nearby, but hard to find a spot when the restaurant is busy.
google avatar

Yelp
The waitlist was long and people were still waiting for a table at 830pm on a Saturday. That's probably says it all. It was just me and I walked in with a simple to-go order of chicken pad thai, no beansprouts. I got it in less than ten minutes. Flavorful, a good portion size and I love how they packed it with peanuts and a lime wedge on the side. Will be back to dine in with others and try some other dishes.

Yelp
Excellent spot for top notch Thai food. The flavors are outstanding. Exact to wait for holiday weekend or busy season. Love the decor too, very authentic. We had the tom kha with vegetables super delicious and the hangover noodles with tofu was on point. Kyo, our server was super cute and funny. Check it out.

Yelp
Several times here and it's definitely a must stop every time we are blessed with the opportunity to visit South Lake Tahoe. It's one of those places that if you skip it, you'll regret it for months and months to come. The restaurant is easy to find as you enter the city. It's beautiful decorated with cultured pictures, statues, and aromas of spices. The service is great too. It can get pretty busy so make sure to plan ahead. We just happen to drop in during a break from a bicycle ride around the city. Stop in and sit for a meal or take it to go. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Came here around 12:30, and the parking lot was nearly full (one more empty space). The restaurant was also nearly full, so we were afraid we'd be in for a bit of a wait. But we were greeted instantly, and seated less than a minute later, after a table was cleared. A very friendly waiter took our order. I ordered Pumpkin Red Curry, which arrived in under 20 minutes, accompanied by a combined 2 cups of brown rice (we'd each ordered one). Unfortunately, it was nearly another 10 minutes before my husband's order arrived, with no explanation or mention of the extra wait. The orders must have somehow been separated, and his got pushed back. I asked for my Pumpkin Curry to have extra veggies substituted for the chicken and shrimp it normally comes with, and they delivered. It had a great variety of veggies, including lots of pumpkin, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, bok choy, basil, snow peas, and squash (zucchini?). The red curry sauce was the usual, delicious coconut-based curry - very tasty. I asked for the max spiciness level (5), and it was really hot. I loved it! The only thing I didn't like was it came in a fried tortilla shell "bowl", which I didn't eat. My husband had the Vegetable Delight, which sounded boring to me, but he said he liked it a lot. There was a slightly sweet sauce mixed in with the veggies, and he added some chili flakes to spice it up a bit. He noted how well cooked the veggies were, leaving them crunchy/snappy, but still fully cooked. We enjoyed this meal enough to have a second lunch here a few days later, with similarly good results. I had a Papaya Salad, which was quite unlike any other I've had before. Not only in looks, but in taste. It seemed to be in a peanut sauce (with peanuts halves), which was a bit sweeter than I would like, but I still enjoyed it. I got it at a spice level of 4* (out of 5*), and it was pretty hot, without overwhelming the flavor of the ingredients. My husband had an Eggplant Lovers. He did love it! Eggplant usually soaks up a lot of oil when cooked, so he requested it be made with less oil, and that seemed to work, as they weren't too oily. He asked for 3* spice level (medium), and that worked for him. There was some heat, but not too much. My Thai Cuisine is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area.
google avatar

Elena J.

Yelp
This was worth the ~1 hour wait time (at 6pm). They were kind enough to take our order while we were waiting, so the first dish was ready by the time we were seated. The creamy tom yum soup and the spicy eggplant were the highlights for me.

Yelp
Popcorn lobster is crispy and sauce is very flavorful. Pad Thai and fried rice r both excellent. Decor is nice and also provides kids utensils. Will be back if I'm in the area

Yelp
This place definitely beats my expectation and ranked the top pad Thai restaurants I have ever been. It has just the fine amount of flavor and sweetness. I also highly recommend their salad: my Thai salad, that is completely vegetarian with varieties of veggies and fried tofu. It's refreshing and it comes with two sauces: peanut and mango sauce. They didn't have the mango sticky rice dessert. But I did end up trying their Pandan coconut cake. It's light, not too much cream. Has a spongy, subtle sweetness. Highly recommend. -1*: I didn't like so much of the house special pot: Tom yum creamy jumbo freshwater shrimp dish. The shrimps are a bit overcooked and tasted rubbery.
google avatar

Joanna L.

Yelp
Service was fast! Friendly server and loved their Special Pad Thai, good portion on the kids ramen and flavor was great! Perfect after a bike ride or any craving in South Lake Tahoe. Loved the fried tofu as a starter and their Thai tea was great. The parking lot can be a bit of a struggle.

Yelp
Went to dine in twice but they stop letting you around 30 mins before closing. Got take out instead. The chicken basil fried rice and tom yum soup was really good! The basil chicken and fresh spring rolls were ok. Decent place that's open till 9:30 pm in Tahoe! PS they don't answer the phone haha so don't bother

Niko S.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants ever. And the only place I will eat at when im in Tahoe. Every table is jam packed from open until close, for a good reason. Despite the crowds, the service is always top notch . Mimi's service especially goes above and beyond. I am always warmly welcomed and I feel like I'm at home when I eat at my Thai!

Yelp
We are visiting South Lake Tahoe when we decided we wanted Asian for dinner. We've been walking in the crowds all day and we're tired. After asking Yelp for the best Asian cuisine in the area, we chose to have Thai but had to be there in the next half hour, so off we ran from the border to the parking lot to catch opening at 1630h. Well, we got there and there was a bit of a line already. And then...the doors opened for service. We made it!! Table for five please!! We were promptly seated, shown the menu (which was frankly, very impressive), and given a few minutes to figure out what we wanted for dinner... We made a list of our orders on a napkin to make things easy for our host (Mutty was pretty impressed that we were ready for him). We ordered the Tom Yum soup, special pad thai (highly recommended), garlic shrimp, the wonderful Veggie delight, Beef Cashew Thailand and Orange Chicken? (dont knock it before you try it). All that with a couple of orders of white Thai rice...oh, and a Thai coke (from Mexico). Service was surprisingly swift. Everything we ordered was very well cooked and tasted very authentically Thai. We felt that we didn't order enough food because we wanted more, but our tummies were satisfied and couldn't have any more. The food was frankly priced very well and we vowed to return to this place for the service...AND definitely the food.
google avatar

Matt K.

Yelp
Great, 5 stars we ordered a special creamy shrimp to yum. Hands down, one of the best I tried in US. I have been in Thailand and it's very authentic and super tasty. Only difference is it's not as spicy, but you could ask for it. The interior and service were also very charming. Will definitely come back any time while on vacation.

Yelp
Yummy Thai food! Came on a friday night and had to wait to be seated for a bit. Since there was no room inside for guests to wait and we had a large ish party, we had to wait outside/in our cars... Didn't come with high expectations, but I actually ended up really liking their food! I got their pad see ew and it was very flavorful and the portion was pretty good too! The interior was also nicely decorated. They have some cool looking dishes too!

Yelp
Decided on a trip to Tahoe for the snow and felt like eating Thai food for dinner. We came across My Thai Cuisine from our friend's recommendation and it was pretty good overall! Walking in, I was getting cozy friendly vibes where it wasn't too loud. The servers were nice and always had a smile on their face. Onto the food, you have to scan the QR code in order to see the menu. We decided to try out the Pad Thai Special and the Tom Kha soup (pot) with shrimp. The Pad Thai Special was decently proportioned and it tasted great! Noodles were not too chewy, the shrimp was not rubbery, and the overall a good balance of sweet and salty with a bit of sour from tamarind paste. The Tom Kha soup was very good as well! It had a nice sweetness from the coconut milk with a kick of acidity from the lime and lemon grass. We did the shrimp add on for $4 and we were given 4 shrimp so essentially a dollar a shrimp. Overall, I'd come back here again and try out other dishes.

Yelp
We visited My Thai Cuisine on Saturday while visiting Lake Tahoe. We got a table upon arrival without a reservation. I really liked their interior design, with the gold Buddha and all the beautiful wall decor. Their food was great! The Royal Duck Curry ($22.95) was delicious! The roasted duck, bell peppers, tomatoes, pineapple, basil, coconut milk, and red curry paste mixed very well. Highly recommend this dish! The Yellow Curry Chicken (with a choice of meat) ($16.95) was very good as well. The Tom Kha Soup with big shrimp ($19.95) was excellent, and the shrimp were huge. :) The Spicy Basil with Beef ($16.95) was good. The Pad Thai ($16.95) was good. The Thai-style Fried Rice ($16.95) was great! I loved their Mango Cake--so yummy! I even bought two more to-go after finishing one in the restaurant. The service was excellent! Our server was very friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our time and the food at My Thai Cuisine. We will definitely visit again whenever we're in Tahoe!

Yelp
Cute and delicious Thai place in South Lake Tahoe! Our group wanted a quick dinner when we arrived and we stumbled upon this place. We were in a rush and called them ahead to ask if there was a wait and they said they could take us right away. We arrived at the restaurant and were seated almost right away. I appreciated how the servers knew we had a time limit and helped us place our orders quickly and efficiently. The dishes came out maybe 5 min later and was immediately served! They were all so delicious, we ordered the pad Thai, basil fried rice, green curry, pad see ew and papaya salad. Highly recommend the papaya salad (super big portion and refreshing) and the green curry. We even got a cute kids plate that included some complimentary freshly cut fruit for our toddler! Probably one of the best Thai places I've had in the area. Would definitely come back again.

Katherine L.

Yelp
Food was amazing, we come all the way from Los Angeles and wanted to try some Thai food. We got the pot soup spicy level 5, hangover noodles 10/10 The service was amazing, our waitress was a man he was very nice, very fast, & is very friendly. The place is beautiful , clean and we definitely have a new place to come to !
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
The wait is worth it! The most authentic Thai food in town and peak hours can be anywhere from 30 min to over an hour, all dependent on the size of party. They don't accept reservations. The prices are reasonable and the flavor profiles are on point. We ordered tom kha with pork and it was delicious! For entrees, we order My udon with veggies, spicy eggplant with beef and rice, and crying tiger. All were super tasty and portions were generous. I really enjoyed the interior decor as it reminded me of Thailand. It's definitely on the smaller side, so most people congregate in the front area when they're waiting and it can feel very cramped.

Yelp
Nice ambiance. Date-night worthy. Good service. Delicious food (sweet leaning in term of flavor). Big serving portion. Fresh ingredients.
google avatar

Rissy L.

Yelp
We love the cute minions decorations next to their front entrance. Their interior decor has beautiful Thai cultural icons such as the gold Thai buddha and gold elephants. -Tom Kha Soup (the fire burned out before the soup warms up so we had lukewarm soup; make sure to ask them to reignite the soup for you). -Royal Duck Curry (this item was savory and decent, but not as spicy as we were hoping for). -Avocado Rolls (it was full of avocado and very fillings). -Hangover Noodles (very savory and delicious; probably the best dish we ordered). -My Thai Sizzling (it was just ok, not spicy at all even though we asked for Thai spicy level). -Thai Ice Tea (pretty good). Their spicy level goes from 1 to 5 and Thai spicy, but even with Thai spicy it tasted more like mild spicy. Overall, the decors are 4 stars but the food was just ok average.

Yelp
Tried this place on a weekend, be prepared for long wait times, limited parking during the peak ski season Decent ambiance with minimal decor, ordered veggie dumplings, fresh rolls, tom kha with tofu, Thai fried rice, spicy fried rice and drunken noodles with shrimp Service was quick, food came very quickly we barely even started eating our appetisers Apps and soup were great very flavour full, I was disappointed with the fried rice- tofu was pretty dry, noodles were good Overall great place to grab a bite if you want to eat something warm after a cold walk around the lake
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
I love Pad Thai and get it almost anywhere that has it when visiting a new place. Here it was OK. I ordered it spicy, but it wasn't. Even with hot chili oil, it still wasn't very hot. In the end, I was full. The ambiance was very good and well-decorated. Service was slow given the level of business in the restaurant (3 tables total, I think).
google avatar

Sylvia K.

Yelp
Came here during our last Tahoe trip. It was recommended by our Airbnb host. There was no wait. Ambiance was nice with Thai decor. However, we were disappointed with the food. Everything was small portion and bland. We were especially disappointed with the avocado roll. The skin was not crispy nor golden. It's not what we expected. All in all, food was mediocre and it was on the expensive side. Maybe this is the best in Tahoe according to yelp stars but compare to Bay Area Thai restaurants, it's just not up to par.
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
First time dining at Lake Tahoe vicinity. We are glad to come to this Thai restaurant for lunch on a fine Saturday afternoon. The place is packed and the service is A-plus. The menu is a little pricier than most restaurants in Reno, but they are bigger portions and delicious. Every time I come to a Thai restaurant, I have to try their papaya salad, and this place is the only place that also serves ramen in a Thai restaurant. So we ordered popcorn lobster, Thai fried rice, papaya salad and Tomyum seafood ramen. What can I say? Food we ordered are delicious, and presented artistically. We'll definitely comeback soon.
google avatar

Karen D.

Yelp
There was definitely a large crowd here on a Wed at 2pm. Parking was ample, but beware some is in the dirt. Its sound volume is about a 3 out of 5,but we could still carry on a conversation. Digital menu so be sure to bring a by phone. The prices are a bit high, even for Tahoe. The Mythai Curry was fabulous!!
google avatar

Yelp
My Thai Cuisine is a nice restaurant They have their own small lot. The ambiance is nicely decorated in Thai photos, sculptures, etc. A good-sized restaurant. Inside seating only. But they have rooms for a couple of large parties. Two separate restrooms, one for men's and one for women but extra stalls. PAPAYA SALAD (Thai Style): Green papaya, carrot, peanut, green bean, tomato, Thai chili, Thai eggplant and fresh lime juice (4/5). Good tart mildly spicy flavor from the lime juice and chili. Though, wish they didn't include the small lime with the peel. RED CURRY: Choice of meat (BEEF) with bamboo shoot, broccoli, bell pepper, basil, coconut milk and red curry paste (4/5). Tender cooked beef and flavorful curry. MY THAI CURRY: Choice of meat (PORK), asparagus, snow pea, baby carrot, broccoli, coconut milk, PEANUT BUTTER, home made curry paste, served in home made-deep fried tortilla bowl and topped with cashew nut (5/5). This was my favorite! Nicely presentation and flavorful thick sauce. PAD THAI (Sweet): Choice of meat (CHICKEN) Stir fried with rice noodle, egg, bean sprout and green onion (4/5). Nice presentation as the scrambled and egg on top but it didn't look like an egg. The flavor was on the sweeter side. But, I liked the flavor. PAD SEE EW (A little bit sweet): Choice of meat (BEEF) Stir fried with flat rice noodles, egg, broccoli, Chinese broccoli in sweet soy sauce (4/5). Flavorful soft rice noodles in a dark sauce. Though, no Chinese broccoli but American. :( Overall, a great place for Thai cuisine. We will be back!

Yelp
Needed a quick bite after a busy morning exploring the area. My absolute favorite dish was the pad thai special. The balance of the flavor was just right and loved the garnish on the plate. Second favorite was the tok yum soup. The only dish that always different from what I was expecting was the garlic shrimp. I should of paid more attention- I was expecting more of a fried and crunchy dish but seems like the garlic shrimp was maybe boiled and the sitrred fried a litthe? But it wamusore mushroom that shrimp and the taste of garlic was missing. The decoration in the restaurant was well thought out and gave out south eastern tropical vibes. The waiters were also very attentive and prompt.

Bobby U.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great food and awesome staff, food came out pretty quick. Quality of food was excellent. Definitely recommend this place
google avatar

Jill M.

Yelp
3.8 stars. (This review is solely based on take away order) Parking was quite a hassle finding parking. Granted, we came on a Saturday late lunch. Before I can even get to the main entrance to speak to the host, I had to weave through a whole bunch of guests that were blocking the main door. Once I got through, their receiving area was so small. Since we ordered via phone, i must say they had our food ready when they said it'd be ready. Food packaging was good as well. As for the food taste, it was pretty good. Good authentic flavors. You must try their papaya salad lap style! Try and stop by whenever you visit South Lake Tahoe.
google avatar

Sebastian T.

Yelp
As we walked out the door we said "this was soooo good!!". Our server, Irene, was so sweet and caring. We got the Hangover Udon and Hangover Noodles and they were delicious. The portions are large and spicy! We got medium spice (3) and it was quite spicy- perfect for what we wanted. The water is delicious and the decoration is well done. I loved the soft music playing.
google avatar

Andrea G.

Yelp
The restaurant is clean and beautiful. Service was friendly and very responsive. I ordered the red curry with tofu. I asked for it spicy. They asked for a spice level 1 to 5. I asked for a 5. My food came and it looked great. There were lots of veggies and a generous amount of tofu. The first bite had me questioning of level 1 was the hottest rather than 5. There was a little heat but nothing like I'm used to. We had to ask for something to make it spicier. We got the condiment tray with 4 different options. That took my food to an entirely different level. It was delicious!
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
we got the chicken green curry and the pork pad see ew. note that the curry does not come with rice so you have to order it separately. the rice was kind of hard :( the eggplant in the curry was nice, but the curry wasn't spicy at all. the pad see ew was okay, a bit too sweet but the egg addition was something new
google avatar

Ricky P.

Yelp
Came here for dinner after seeing their good reviews online. We were not feeling too adventurous this day so we stuck to our safe foods and ordered the vegetables egg rolls, pad Thai, and pad see ew. The noodle dishes were incredible, texture of the noodles was perfect and flavors were spot on. Would pass on the egg rolls in the future tho. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area and tired of American food

Yelp
Such fresh and tasty Thai food!!! We ordered a mountain of food and ate every single bite!! Everything is deeply flavorful and most importantly not greasy at all. Everything straight with the kiss of fire from woks that add to the amazing taste. Som tum was a crunchy, citrusy burst of freshness. Tom yum in this fire pot will wake up your mind with the jolt of lemongrass I loved the texture of the oyster mushrooms in it too. Pad ki mao was a favorite smoky and peppery with char, I topped it with crushed Thai chili peppers in fish sauce. Thai fried rice is a well executed classic, eat the tomatoes they are not for decor. Panang curry was more standard off the mill but still tasty a bit more over indexed on coconut Broccoli Tofu was subtle and flavorful, great for kids Service very nice and helpful, everything came so fast! Decor cute with nice Thai gold accents! Well done Tahoe!

Yelp
Date: Sunday, June 23rd, 2024 Time Ordered: around 5:30pm Time Picked Up: around 6pm Party of: 3 Meal: Dinner Takeout *Lao Style Papaya Salad: no peanut ($19.95) *Green Curry: chicken ($16.95) *Spicy Basil: chicken ($16.95) *Pad Thai Special: peanut on side ($19.95) *White Rice ($2.95) x3 *Brown Rice ($2.95) The hubby and I were in Tahoe and his younger cousin decided to come along. When it was time for dinner, I went to go pick up some Thai food. They do their spice levels 1 to 5, but the coz can't do too spicy. So I ordered my papaya salad at 5 and the rest at 4. Note, 4 is not really that spicy. He was fine. Hands down, one of the best lao style papaya salads I've had in a while. So flavorful! And a good amount of spice. Not quite the burn my mouth off spice I like, but still a good heat. The coz wanted the green curry and pad thai. He enjoyed both. Tho I was missing bamboo shoots in the curry. Typically when I order green curry it comes with bamboo shoots. The basil chicken I'd skip next time. Not much chicken. More onions and other veggies than anything else. I've tried the Thai spot next door as well. Both have stronger dishes, but the papaya salad wins here. Would come back just for that. REVIEW #3475

Yelp
This one of our favorite places to eat in South Lake! The food is all super delicious and we got all of our dishes really fast. The staff is super friendly and was able to help us find some new dishes to try. This restaurant is really popular so it can be a bit busy sometimes, but it's definitely with the wait!

Khushi L.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service. There is a waitlist but not much wait. All the food was amazing

Yelp
It was a pretty cold day walk around Tahoe lake and around noon everyone wanted something hot. We searched around and not many places offer hot soup so we have decided to give My Thai Cuisine a try. Restaurant isn't very big and tables are placed tightly but with very special Thai culture decorations. Place is super packed and we were lucky to take the last table at the far right corner of the restaurant. We have ordered following dishes: Tom Yum creamy with Super Large Prawns - Excellent, this is the hot soup that we all wanted. Make sure you drink it hot and eat the Prawns right away or it will be cooked too long. Next time we'll try the original Tom Yum not creamy Tom Yum to see if it will be even better. Prawns were super large and fresh and tasty, but we had 2 left in too long which is a bit over cooked. They have the option for Large Prawn or Lobster to choose from. Spicy Basil (Ka Paw) Beef - OK, this dish's last taste was ok and the beef was dry. Royal Duck Curry - Great, this is the first time that I had Duck curry and it tasted yummy plus the duck was tender and juicy. Yellow Curry with Chicken - Great, yellow curry mixed with Jasmine rice was a heavenly mix. They cook it perfectly with chicken and are tasty. Pad Thai - Good, it is like any other Pad Thai with some sweetness to it but theirs has a strong flavor of sweetness and saltiness Premium Jasmine Rice - just some hot jasmine rice. 3 Mango Cake (2 togo) - Great, mango cake was tasty so we ordered 2 more togo. Thai Tea - Great, it is always good to have Thai Tea to enjoy with Thai food but feel guilty after. We'll definitely return again when we are in Lake Tahoe.

Yelp
We had a large party of 14 people. The restaurant was very accommodating. Since they don't take reservations, we waited about 40 mins for the table on a Saturday evening. We were able to all sat together. The servers were very nice and explained to us about the dishes they offer. The food came out quickly and are very delicious, we really enjoyed our meal. My friends were so impressed, they went back for dinner the next day!

Yelp
the larb is ass and its not worth getting. tasted really grainy like sand and its not authentic. told the waiter and he tried covering up saying its "americanized". wont be back fortunately :D
google avatar

Jeremiah D.

Yelp
They're just liars. If you order they just tell you 20 minuets but I had to wait an hour at the place. It took 90 minutes for my food and I just ordered noodles and and spring rolls. Just don't lie to me. Food is ok but hate being lied to
google avatar

Ann N.

Yelp
That was a very enjoyable lunch. We did 3 dishes plus a cup of soup. Each dish was amazing with great flavors. Presentation was on point. Service was perfect. The moment we walked in to when we left, each wait staff was attentive. Food came out very quick so we were not hungry for long. Walking in, definitely a Thai restaurant. Decor was beautiful with authentic statues and wall hangings. It may look small on the outside but plenty of tables inside to enjoy your meal.

Miraj S.

Yelp
Whenever I visit Tahoe I make it a point to go to My Thai. They're super packed always but the food is so good. Love their red curry. They got a nice vibe and the serveurs are always busy helping. They are able to cater to dietary restrictions. I got everything Jain (no onions, no garlic, no potatoes). They even had fresh rolls jain

Yelp
My Thai is still my go-to in Tahoe. I had the tom yum soup and hangover noodles. Tom yum soup hit the spot. Hangover noodles are good, but not compared to how they were years ago. I keep ordering it because the description is so appealing. I'm looking forward to trying the cakes!

Yelp
Came back to My Thai Cuisine for a thanksgiving dinner and loved it again! We ordered Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Cashew Thailand, and Spicy Eggplant. All were warm, filling, seasoned & spiced well with Thai flavors. The place was quite busy as most restaurants were closed on Thanksgiving. Usually there is a wait since this place is definitely one of the best restaurants in South Lake Tahoe. The non seafood dishes were reasonably priced, delicious, and fresh! Service was friendly and ambience was cozy for anyone looking for a nice warm asian meal after a ski-day.

Yelp
This was hands down the best food I've had in South Lake! Everything we tried on their menu was a 5/5. I devoured their green curry - the flavor was unreal. It has a little kick to it but definitely super tolerable, more flavor than heat. The hangover udon was also SO GOOD and I typically don't love Thai iced tea but their's was the best I've ever tried. Service was super fast too, we got all our food in roughly 15 minutes. We will definitely be revisiting here!!

Yelp
Came here at 5pm on a Wednesday. Was not busy whatsoever. My calamari aka golden squid came out the same time as the entrees and was not hot. Was bummed about the temperature and the timing of the food. Soup was excellent and the hangover noodles were a 7/10. I'd reorder the soup but pass on the other two. Service was ok. I generally like to be asked how the food is. Will give them another shot when craving Thai food.

Yelp
I don't know if they changed management but, completely changed the way they run things. No hoison sauce, barely any seasonings, no pho nor kathiew. Very awkward seating, workers running between customers in and out. $12 for 3 sprites. Just horrible
