Pasadena’s stalwart for Thai‑leaning vegan comfort—papaya salad, curries, pad see ew, and a big menu of soy meats—gets steady local love and a nod from Visit Pasadena. Dependable lunch and dinner hours make it a reliable plant‑based anchor in town.

Great food options and service! They also have healthier whole food-based options and brown rice available! The My Vegan Pad Thai Signature dish is quite large and can be a dish for two people. As of late October 2025, their restroom is out of service.

Google
Dropped by and got the Vegan Pho Basil ($15.50). Even though this is a Thai restaurant, the pho was pretty comparable to what you can get at a vegan Vietnamese restaurant. To me, all vegan pho tastes the same (the salty veggie broth taste), and this is exactly what this one felt like. The portion sizes were satisfactory. They will give you sriracha and hoisin sauce if you ask. The restroom is a single-stall inside the kitchen, so you have to ask to be escorted. It's written on the menu that any food returned will only give you 50% back. Seems pretty atypical and I can see how that might offend some customers.

My Vegan at Arroyo is a small and cozy vegan gem hidden in the streets of Pasadena. There are two locations in Pasadena but both have different menu and preparations. I like to go Arroyo parkway , It’s Menu is predominantly Thai with some fusion Asian and western options. Portion size is good enough that you may save little bit for snacking at home. Best part is that gravies are not sweet. This is the problem I have found in most of the Thai places that they add sugar in the gravies. You have to be careful about spice level so don’t be courageous on spice level as medium spicy is also very spicy for most of the Americans. Our favorite dishes are Green Curry, Spicy Basil Fried Rice, Kung Pao Chicken and Spicy Basil Eggplant w/Tofu. Good place to dine in for 5-6 people. However, they charge service gratuity on 5 people. Hope you enjoy your delicious Vegetarian or Vegan meal. Don’t forget to give me rating so that I am encouraged to share and promote good vegan/vegetarian food places.

Delicious food. Nice professional Employees. Meals that will leave you with cravings to return just to experience the exquisite flavors all over again☺️

Google
Our group of four enjoyed our dishes. But I was disappointed that the dumpling appetizer was deep fried (I prefer pan fried). Pad Thai dish was much too sweet. The chow mein was quite good with plenty of vegetables. The spring salad was crisp and appealing with a delicious dressing served on the side. Our service was good. Their restroom seems to be indefinitely "out of order," which is a shame.

Google
Great food and service. Some parking, but that may be an issue on a busier time/day. The main downfall of this place was the bathrooms were out of order. That's bad for a restaurant. Overall though I would definitely go again.

Google
I love their curry noodles, always hits the spot. The noodles were good but not memorable. The "chicken" satay was great with the peanut sauce.

Google
The Orange Chicken was very tasty! Nice thin batter. And the sweet tangy sauce was perfect! Came with a side of brown rice! Pad Thai was nicely done. I love that it's so creamy and not dry like the others I've tried! Last but definitely not the least the Wild mushroom noodle in coconut soup! The rice noodles were nicely cooked, It's hot and sour and creamy goodness! 😊 Tofu was nice and soft with combination of mushrooms and bean sprouts and the lemongrass it smelled and tasted so good! Hits the spot on this gloomy and cold day! Oh and the Thai Iced tea with soy milk is 👍👍👍. Attentive staff. Very good service! We usually just order for delivery but i think dining in was the key! 😋😋😋

Yelp
the flavors here are unreal and service has always been super friendly! fascinated by how wide the menu range is. it's busy in here but never overwhelmingly crowded, which is awesome. the vibes are awesome. if you like chinese and thai food and if you're interested in trying plant-based renditions, you'll love this spot

Yelp
3.5 stars Another vegetarian family member came to visit, so I thought to have them try this place, since it's so highly rated. It's not bad, but it didn't wow the way I thought it would. My uncle got the Tofu Cashew Stir-fry and it wasn't as spicy as we thought it would be. I got the Tom Yum Noodles and it was sour and not spicy enough. My mom got the Pad Thai and that turned out to be the best dish. Service was good. I'd come back.

Yelp
3.5 stars. I came on a Monday evening for early dinner around 5:50pm. There is a parking lot with a few spaces. Not the biggest parking lot and a bit of a tight, weird layout but I was able to secure a spot. This was my first time here. No one was inside when we came so we were immediately greeted and seated. It's pretty small inside. Several tables along each wall and a few in the middle. We ordered the orange chicken, P.E.T. and RIPP. The food came out decently quickly. First impression was that the portion sizes were small for the price (~$18 each). The orange chicken was not what I expected. I wouldn't get this again. It was mushy and soft, not the crunchy breading I hoped for. The sauce is quite citrus-heavy. The PET was solid. I was hoping for more pumpkin and tofu but overall good. The RIPP was the best dish in terms of the entree itself. Tangy flavor, great mock meat texture. The steamed vegetables had no flavor and the carrots were basically raw. The cabbage slaw was pretty good but a bit watery toward the bottom. Overall, it was okay. I wasn't blown away by any flavors. It's a bit overpriced for what it was. Nothing was notably memorable. My partner and I were able to finish everything (he does eat a lot though). I wouldn't necessarily come out of my way to eat here again but I wouldn't say no either if someone asked. Maybe I'll give the pad Thai a try next. Service was nice. Water was refilled twice. Other notes (literally posted around the restaurant): -bathrooms out of order -cash preferred -minimum credit card purchase $10 -tip preferred in cash

Yelp
Get a chance to try this place for vegetarian dishes! Easy to get to from driving or the Metro rail. Please of parking on the lot or off street. A quaint little place with lots of vegan dishes. Mainly Thai flavors! We had the RIPP(pork ribs like tofu), served with veggies of the day and coleslaw and Angry Pork, stir fried tofu pork like with string beans and broccoli served with brown rice. It said spicy but there wasn't much of a kick at all. Other dishes looked interesting so need to go back and try to see if they are resemble the meat counter parts! Service was great, very attentive and friendly. Pricing runs about $15-$20 a plate.

Yelp
Bubble was wonderful and friendly. We got the kale salad and Fresh Coconut juice which was a real coconut she just opened. Lovely vegan restaurant Chicken is made from soi Affordable. Cool AC

Yelp
I ordered this for pickup, it went smoothly and they had my order ready under 10 minutes. I ordered the mung bean noodle salad and the mushroom coconut soup with tofu. I would highly recommend the mushroom coconut soup. The salad's flavor was amazing, perfectly sour and umami, but they had large chunks of green onion (a lot of stem), which cannot be eaten without my eyes watering. The soy shrimp texture was also a little dry.

Yelp
I was looking for a vegetarian food option for my mom and decided to give My Vegan a try. At first, I tried to call and place a takeout order. However, they did not pick up, so I went and ordered in person. The staff was very helpful in answering all of my questions about what's in their dishes. After ordering, it was mentioned everything would be ready within 15 minutes. There were not a lot of people at the time, so there were plenty of seats for me to sit and wait. I was actually surprised to see that everything was actually ready within 5 minutes. In total, I got three dishes - Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and egg rolls. For both the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew, I added tofu for the order. For the egg rolls, it looks like it was made with carrot and lettuce. My mom absolutely loves all the dishes. I also enjoyed all of the dishes. Everything was definitely shareable for 1-2 people. This spot will now be one of our favorite consideration for vegetarian food! Note: American Express is not accepted here.

Yelp
Hidden gem for Thai-style vegetarian food. All dishes are made from non-meat or meat-alternative ingredients, but the flavor is almost identical to regular dish. Recommend: Broccoli beef, Pad Thai, Tom Kha Soup, and Angry Pork. Plenty of parking.

Yelp
Wow! The food is so fresh and delicious. Hole in the wall restaurant is some of the best Thai food in Pasadena. Vegan and you don't miss the meat whatsoever. Wow! You gotta try it!
google avatar

Kelli C.

Yelp
Food was ok. Not the greatest. Service was NOT worth the tip I ended up giving them on their hand held device. They were super quick with their device and I felt pressured to select a tip percentage. It wasn't until after I paid that I realized the tip was calculated on the total and not the sub total . Please be aware and do your math if tipping with your credit card via the hand held device or you might be tipping more than you intended. Please read Sarah P's review from a year ago . Sums it up perfectly . I won't be coming back to this restaurant .

Yelp
amazing selection of food. finally i could look at all of the menu instead of a veg section! the food came so quickly and the waitresses were so kind. seeing soy being prepared in many different ways and textures was pretty mindblowing, and i want to return to try more

Yelp
Amazing good, very yummy. I had the yellow curry noodle, the best I've ever had, I recommend everyone to give a try.

Yelp
Tried this place out with my grandparents who are not plant-based but wanted to try the fake meats. They both wanted burgers, and seemed to enjoy them. My grandma thought the "chicken" was cooked in an oil that left a weird after taste. I enjoyed the mushroom coconut soup. My boyfriend thought the orange chicken was ok but probably wouldn't order it again as a main entree. Next time, we'd probably try more of the Thai staples. The place is small so we were lucky to get a table. Service was quick and friendly.
google avatar

Dharma R.

Yelp
I love the food here, it's well balanced with lots of flavor and value. Probably one of the better pad thai's I've had in LA over the years and their version doesn't disappoint.
google avatar

Yelp
Service ok Pad Thai Taste like a 10 year old made it with ketchup. Really sweet and nasty Not sure how this place got good reviews??

Yelp
Took my family to eat healthy vegan food and my best friend for her birthday! Loved this place so much. What an amazing restaurant with such delicious vegan food. Absolutely delicious! The coconuts are always a hit too. Thank you Thailand for bringing this energy into the United States! We appreciate you so much. Very clean and tranquil atmosphere as well. Perfect place for brunch or dinner.

畅

Yelp
The vegetarian food was cooked perfectly. And served quickly. The portions were generous. A wonderful experience. It was excellent. The environment was also quite good. It was clean. I'll definitely go back sometime.

Yelp
This unassuming restaurant in a mini mall in Pasadena has really great Thai food....and, it's Vegan!
google avatar

Judy T.

Yelp
I hadn't gone here in awhile and remember I had a 3 star- impression but after trying it again, I am pleasantly surprised and happy that My Vegan has locations in this area. The environment is pleasant and clean. The parking lot can get crowded, but I haven't had trouble finding a space. The staff is also really friendly. There are a lot of delicious options and the food tastes fresh and healthy. It is a fusion restaurant and seems more Thai-focused. A lot of the food comes with tofu already but if you want to change to vege shrimp or chicken it's an extra charge. I think it tastes pretty good with tofu already! I really liked their spicy ramen which was very flavorful and rich. It also already came with bamboo shoots and eggplant.
google avatar

Brettney P.

Yelp
My Vegan is your vegan restaurant that is one of the usual LA eclectic vegan Thai restaurants. However, I enjoyed this one as they don't add sugar to everything and have more of a fresh veggie forward approach on their offerings. I even tricked my veggie resistant kid into a veggie wrap that was leaded with greens and other veggies! The crazy part is she ate it ALL OF IT!?! The service was wonderful. The ambience is simple. So yeah this is a great spot for a more health conscious vegan connoisseur!
google avatar

Jiemei G.

Yelp
I literally found this spot randomly as starving and got the PET - loved that they can make it GF but the star item is the kale salad that almond ginger dressing is amazing: I will be stopping by every time I'm in the area to get it. They have indoor seating the parking lot can be tight as Dominos cleaners etc. Service was also friendly and great!
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
Food was ok, but I think I prefer other Thai restaurants. I enjoy vegan and vegetarian food, but nothing stood out to me. Pretty pricey for what it is. I understand some vegan establishments are on the pricier side to get their hands on good vegan "meat", but when the protein is just tofu (which is pretty standard across Thai dishes) I don't see why it's so expensive. I don't have any complaints about service, and it seems like a nice small restaurant otherwise.
google avatar

Milena H.

Yelp
Delicious!! And the $13.50 combo is such a steal. Vegan roll, side salad, and a main dish! Highly recommend. Plus, the space is clean and the staff is friendly. The only possible con is that the seating is limited - 9 tables.
google avatar

Summer P.

Yelp
This place is so good! It's all meatless and really tasty. I had chicken satay and my daughter had yellow curry, super tasty. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Kelly H.

Yelp
I love My Vegan! But their drumsticks never show up on the online delivery menus and they are my favorite thing!
google avatar

Mae S.

Yelp
The food test so great..the best thing that I always get is Angry pork and Orange chicken
google avatar

Jj T.

Yelp
Good is amazing. I got take out and it was fresh, sauces were delicious, tofu and fake pork was on point.

Yelp
This is the first time I've been to a vegan thai place but i love pad thai and my friend recommended it! The place is pretty small and casual but the food is so good!! I got a couple things that were all very tasty. The staff is also very polite so it was nice to just relax and enjoy my meal!

Jon I.

Yelp
We've eaten at My Vegan probably 25 times and were able to count on great food, good service and reasonable prices. Today was an off day for them and rather than scolding them, I'd like to provide a bit of constructive criticism inatead. We ordered PET and Mint salad. The former was as good as usual but the latter was not. There were several cores of romaine included and some really "out-of-date" mint leaves. Here's a photo of the salad's lowpoints. We WILL continue to eat there, provided today's dish was an anomaly and not their new norm.
google avatar

Cynthia W.

Yelp
Y'all, the yellow curry noodle with the soy chicken might be one of my absolute favorite dishes. Definitely a go-to whenever we are here. Service always very friendly. There really isn't much ambience to speak of - pretty basic decor, casual dining, kind of stark, but I like it like that, because there's no pressure. Parking is in the lot, and it looks like you have to go thru the kitchen to get to the bathroom. Just beware that they charge quite a bit if you want extra noodles (like $5-6). So if I have extra broth, I'd get it to go and put my own noodles in.
google avatar

Maegan B.

Yelp
Me and my family come here often and love the food and service, we eat vegan so this place is great. Really recommend it and i love the Thai iced tea
google avatar

Yelp
MY VEGAN POISONED ME!!!!!!!!!!! Came here thinking I was gonna have a vegan meal as I have been vegan for upwards of 17 years. 2 stars because the curry noodle with tofu was delicious. Tender noodles perfect tofu. I got to my fried vegetable dumplings took one bite and knew something was wrong. When I spit it out I was shocked and disgusted to find PORK IN MY DUMPLINGS. I was sick to my stomach all night. Wish I could say I'd be back but I'm disgusted that a vegan restaurant would do me like this.
google avatar

Christina C.

Yelp
Do not order the pad Thai, it's bleh. It tastes like noodles mixed with bbq sauce, too sweet. Might I even say ketchup noodles? We ordered the beef jerky, but it never came out. I'm asked at the end of our meal if it was coming out and the lady said, "you didn't order it." Sigh... It was my first time back after several years and I am very disappointed. I want to say it was just a bad day for them, but probably won't be back again.

Aimee S.

Yelp
Always a yummy place to bring a friend for lunch. I'm predictable but this place makes me want to try something new every time.

Yelp
My family is always on the look out for good vegetarian places in the area. We are not vegetarian, per se, but once in a while we like to go out to get vegetarian food. I did some research and found this nice Thai vegetarian restaurant in Pasadena, so I had to come give it a try. I came here with my wife for dinner. It seemed like their main specialties were Thai food. I also noticed that on their Instagram, their pineapple fried rice looked really good. So I got the pineapple fried rice with soy chicken. My wife got the Kee Mao with tofu. The Kee Mao tastes like any other Thai restaurant's drunken noodles despite being vegetarian. It was amazing, and also too spicy for me, as expected from Thai restaurants. The noodles were fresh and flavorful. I had the pineapple fried rice. My Vegan serves rice dishes with brown rice. I wish they had white rice, but the brown rice was still amazing. There was a strong curry flavor. It was not quite a curry on rice, but it was not as dry as a lot of fried rice dishes tend to be. It was the perfect level of moisture for me. I got the dish with soy chicken. The soy chicken and pineapples added the texture notes that I was desiring. Amazing vegetarian restaurant. I strongly recommend this place.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
This is usually my go-to spot, but today was disappointing. While placing my phone order, the person taking my order was distracted, talking to someone else in the store, and ended up taking the wrong order. When I arrived and pointed out the mistake, they had an attitude about correcting it. Oh well, so much for good customer service. Hopefully, this was just an off day.

Spencer S.

Yelp
This was the best soy chicken I've had. We had the orange chicken and the buffalo chicken starter. Delicious and tasty food. Pad Thai was also amazing. Service was extremely kind, we were still eating after they closed and they were patient with us as we ate, very pleasant atmosphere. Definitely come here!!!
google avatar

Theresa C.

Yelp
So good, I came back the next week! Most of the dishes are delicious and better than what's served at other (non-vegan) Thai places. We loved the kee mao noodles, pad Thai, red curry, P.E.T., and angry pork. Now I've had vegetarian and vegan pad Thai at other restaurants before, but they've never been able to get the full flavor down. My Vegan's version is so true to the actual flavor that I can't believe there's no real fish sauce in it. I'm not a vegetarian but I'd happily eat here again. Dishes are well portioned for the price, $13-$15 per dish. Service and decor are standard. I'd pass on the Tom yum soup-flavors weren't punchy enough and it didn't come with enough ingredients. The soy chicken was also strange- tasted like squishy gluten that was soaked in maple syrup. Will stick to tofu or try the other protein options next time. Aside from these minor misses, I'd highly recommend visiting when you have a Thai craving.
google avatar

Deidre M.

Yelp
I'm not a vegan or a Thai food fan - but I was craving soup and a borderline hypochondriac, so needed something healthful! Searched "healthy" and My Vegan came up on DoorDash with glowing reviews. Tried their Tom Kah soup, veg spring rolls and kale salad. Enjoyed all of it v much! The soup was less lemongrass-y than I expected (which was a plus) - tasted more tomato / veggie soup with mild sour and tofu inside was firm and delicious with tons of mushrooms! Veg spring rolls aiight - prob good piping hot but ya was ok. Kale salad was sweeter than I expected but loved it ~ goji berries with walnuts mmmmm! Looking forward to trying more dishes!

Yelp
It's a favorite, so glad they remained popular all during the last couple of years. Delicious food.

Amy S.

Yelp
nice place, price is a little higher maybe because it is oustkirts pasadena meaning off of colorado blvd, but flavor is great.

Jason L.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I were in the area and found this place last week. Great, friendly service and wonderful food! Such a hidden gem for vegans!

Meri K.

Yelp
Ordered for pick up, decided to actually eat inside as it was empty, once I had everything ready and very neat, the worker said I am not allowed to eat inside as my order was to go. The place was empty. Only 2 people on one table. Will never come back, nor recommend to anyone. Edit: the food was avg, 4/10, was hoping after the disappointment with the service at least to have a decent meal.

Yelp
My Vegan has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants - I've been twice in two weeks and can't wait to go back! They have tons of vegan options, ranging from delicious Thai food to more western dishes. The P.E.T. is my favorite. The hard shell tacos were such a treat, the perfect balance of creamy, fresh and crunchy. The Kung Pao was delicious too. I highly recommend!

Regina D.

Yelp
Horrible service. The staff were not attentive. We had to ask for plates, bowls, etc. We felt as if we're a nuisance as opposed to paying customers.

Yelp
Last month, I wanted to surprise my co-worker for his birthday with a vegan lunch because he only eats vegan on Tuesdays due to personal reasons. So I was in search for a vegan restaurant in Pasadena. Another co-worker of mine recommended My Vegan which is an Asian fusion-inspired vegan restaurant. Before I venture on going with My Vegan, I wanted to first try their foods so one weekend I ordered several of their vegan dishes to-go. Now keep in mind everything made here is vegan at least that's what I was informed. I've eaten at a handful of different vegan restaurants in the past and mushrooms (I love mushrooms!) seem to be the main ingredient that is substituted for the actual meat. But at My Vegan, I believe they use organic tofu (I love tofu, too!). Anyway, here's my feedback on the dishes... 1. Pad Thai Chicken - This was very tasty... vegan chicken was delicious... texture of the noodles were on point. A definite keeper! 2. Pad Woon Sen Shrimp - This was good except for the vegan shrimp that tasted a little bitter for some reason. Will order again, but probably won't get it with shrimp next time. 3. Pad See Ew Fried Tofu - This was perfect... tasted just like the non-vegan version. Another keeper! 4. Yellow Curry Chicken - This was delish! I really liked the curry flavor... it had a lot of vegan chicken strips... would have liked more vegetables though. Still a definite yes! 5. Green Papaya Salad - This was okay... thought the salad was too soggy... maybe too much lime juice in it. Won't order this again! Staff was okay. Prices were average. Atmosphere was pleasant. They do close a few hours between lunch and dinner times so do check on their business hours before heading over here. The one thing I did not try that I normally try whenever I try a new Thai restaurant is their Thai Ice Tea... maybe next time. Perhaps I got thrown off since it's not fully a Thai restaurant LOL. After trying out the above foods, I decided to go with My Vegan for my surprise lunch. Guess what happened? Well, something came up and we had to switch our lunch from Tuesday to Wednesday. The surprise was on me... seem to be a trend these days LOL. Hence, we didn't need to eat vegan after all. After further thought, I made the decision to go non-vegan. It's all good. I am glad I got a chance to try My Vegan. If you're into vegan foods or not, this is a good place to eat at for healthier food choices. Happy My Vegan'ing!

Patrick L.

Yelp
My family came here on Thanksgiving day during our drive down. We were seated immediately. Interior: not much to it. Looks old but it works. Tables were clean with hand sanitizer on each table. Menu: fairly big so it was hard to decide what to get. They suggested three house specialties: yellow curry noodle, spicy ramen, and special pad Thai. Food: Yellow curry noodle and pad Thai has plenty of flavor. The spicy ramen was not what I was expecting. It's not Japanese ramen and also isn't instant ramen. Personally, wouldn't get the ramen again but I would get the other two. Portions are also big!

Yelp
Got the order to go. I got the pad Thai. My vegan is the best for pad Thai. I prefer tofu instead of fake or real meat so this is a no brainer. My wife got the red curry which she loves. Happiness made simple
