Mylapore - Review - Pleasanton - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"The menu at this vegetarian South Indian spot is expansive, but we've got you—get the crispy medhu vadai and the fluffy steamed idly with tangy sambar, and cooling curd rice to experience the full range of this Pleasanton restaurant. For something more substantial, go for the bisibele bath which has a little of everything including spiced rice, dal, and vegetables. This is a great spot for takeout, but with plenty of space and comfortable booths, it’s great for a last-minute low-key lunch or dinner out." - Gabi Moskowitz

Google
A great place some delicious south Indian breakfast and lunches. The idly was wonderful, but the tomato chutney has been a hit or miss , for the multiple visits we had to this place. The coconut chutney is truly delicious though. The mysore masala dosa was pretty good too.

Google
Great place to have a good dosa and South Indian cuisine as a whole. We tried the tiffin, ghee podi masala dosa everything was of great quality. I had visited twice and found a little difference in quality but definitely a great try.

Google
This has been my go-to lunch spot for a while now. I always get their Thali as it has a good mix of different items. If you do decide to get the Thali, don't skip past the small items like the pickle, chutney and crispy chillis, they are some of the best! The food here is of very good quality and feels like it's homemade, their sambar is especially very tasty. The only thing I would change about their Thali is include a chapati but despite that, I consider this to be among my favorite restaurants across the US!

Google
The restaurant provided an impressive experience for our family despite a long wait to be seated. Host Rakesh was exceptionally attentive—he kindly arranged an outdoor table with heaters for us and frequently checked in to ensure we were comfortable. The level of service really stood out. We ordered the Benne Masala Dosa, which was deliciously flavorful but turned out to be quite spicy. Chef Anand noticed that it might be too spicy for the kids, so he thoughtfully sent over a ghee dosa just for them at no extra charge. This gesture showed true hospitality and genuine care for guests. Both the service and food were outstanding, making this restaurant highly recommended for families who appreciate that extra touch of attention and kindness.

Google
Overall the food was great. Didn't enjoy the benne dosa. Everything else definitely recommend. Service was great as well. Would recommend if you are looking for a South Indian restaurant. They provide refill of the green and red chutney.

Google
Always great food, Great dosas and idli. Very authentic South Indian food.. You always get refills for sambhar and chutneys complimentary. I loved their Sitaphal cream sample the other day and I wish they introduce that soon on their menu

Google
The best South Indian restaurant in the US. I have tried each and every dish in the menu, and not even one on the list has disappointed me. I'm a very big South indian cuisine fan, and I'm from the authentic South Indian food lover family. 30 yrs of eating in Saravana Bhavan, Anna Lakshmi, and Annapurna, and it's not easy to satisfy someone who got used to these restaurants. Hats off to Jay for giving us such a great South Indian food experience. I travel to San Ramon from Denver at weekends just to have food here. Thanks to Frontier, too. PS: Jay, I'm a big fan of your mom's cooking (from Youtube). 09/01: I had lunch on 8/30 and 9/01 at Mylapore. Specifically booked my tickets from Denver, CO to Oakland and drove to Pleasenton and had lunch. Amazing as usual and absolutely no disappointment. Recently I tried all the "Thogayal" from Monday to Sunday and I loved each and every bit of the cooking.

Google
July 2025: Had their Sunday thaali. It was very tasty. Enjoyed it. Quantity was not adequate for a few things. So we did ask for top up for some of the items. Original review: Great food. Hot food always wins !!! The sambar and chutneys are very flavorful. So glad that this one opens by 8 am unlike many other indian breakfast places. The dosa and idli are good and always felt tasty and super fresh. It's sad that they don't pack dosa for you to go though. You have to sit and have the dosa in the restaurant. I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner. During the weekends the place gets super crowded and i have often waited 20 to 30 mins or more on a weekend evening. Recently when i visited they were serving the food in all biodegradable utensils(not spoons).

Yelp
What can I say that hasn't already been said? This was my third visit to Mylapore and each time it somehow tops the last. The food is outstanding and incredibly authentic--just like what I used to have back home in Mumbai. The lunch thali offers a generous variety and is absolutely delicious. The masala dosa is wonderfully aromatic and packed with flavor. A special shout-out to Priya the host, and Manager Arivalagan for their exceptional hospitality. I highly recommend Mylapore to anyone looking for a true taste of Indian vegetarian food.

Yelp
I absolutely love Mylapore, they serve homely food with outstanding service. It's usually busy on weekends, yet the food always comes out fast. I visit every week, either for their amazing filter coffee or for dinner. Dosas, idly podi, vada, idle podi are my favorites. The only area they could improve a bit is the chutneys -- they're flavorful, but could be even better. Overall, a wonderful place I keep coming back to.

Yelp
The Onion Tomato Uthapam was very bland. The Riata was fine but bland as well as the accompanying sauce. The Daal and Mango Lassi were good.

Yelp
I had went with my kids (party of 3) around 1pm on a Saturday. Was waitlisted for 30 mins. Ramesh, at the front desk, noticed that I was with my two kids (one being a toddler) and offered a table immediately!! Really appreciate this kind gesture towards parents with kids!! Food and service both are excellent at this restaurant! Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Yelp
Ample portion sizes Super large idlis and dosa filling is also plenty! Fast service! It has outdoor and indoor seating and plenty of parking spaces in the lot. Ambiance is neutral and not super fancy! Two big idlis cost $9 only! They churn out dosas super fast so come hungry! They do not offer dosas as takeout fyi They also don't charge for extra Sambhar or chutneys as they pass the refills around to all seater customers multiple times!
google avatar

Yelp
My absolute favorite place for south indian food. Service is quick and they are all really warm. It is almost always super busy but the turnaround time is quick and they have an online waitlist you can join, which we always do. Their seating can be a little tight but it's expected given how busy they are. I like the ambiance and the kind people here. You have to order at the counter so its a little cafe style. We almost always order the Mysore or Andhra masala dose and its faultless. That and their mini or regular podi idl with sambhar are my absolute favorite things to eat. Their sambhar is unparalleled. We tried the uttapam and while its delicious, its a little thick for our taste.

Yelp
Today we also picked up vegan sweets, snacks Vegan chai Idki sambar For dosa happy hour - mayors masala dosa Samosas Etc

Rajbir S.

Yelp
I have been to this place twice so far and it has been a great find. We drive through pleasanton area often so it is a great spot to get grub on our way. It is a very busy restaurant especially on the weekends so it is recommended to add yourself to waitlist on Yelp. First time around we only got masala dosas and they were delicious. Their filter coffee is great and hits the spot. This time we tried ghee podi idli and benne dosa in addition to our regular order. Loved the ghee podi idli but not so much the benne dosa as it had a loads of ghee in it which got bit too heavy for me.
google avatar

Sandhya G.

Yelp
First of all, compared to other locations, I feel this location has much better service in non-peak time. When we went in, we were greeted and our order was taken with care! The dosa I ordered which was Ghee Podi dosa was done right and was crispy with the sambar also matching the high standards of a "Hotel Sambar" :D I wouldn't recommend trying mini-idlis as they make it in mini cupcake tins and it is not how it is supposed to be made. So please stay away from mini-idlis! This is a smaller location, but has outdoor seating to make up for it. We also tried out their Paneer masala from the fridge to be consumed in a few days and it was delicious!

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Mylapore, which I had heard about when I saw that Mikaela Karthik Design collaborated for the Sunnyvale opening doing art for them. You walk in and receive a number for the table you will sit at and are handed menus. I love that vegan items are labeled on the menu, makes it so easy. At the cash register where you walk up to order first, we told him to note vegan for good measure. We ordered a mysore masala dosai and masala dosai and both were delicious! They come around offering more chutney and sambhar if you are interested too. There is also a small market section where they sell their products. We bought a snack to go. I highly recommend and look forward to trying more of their menu!

Yelp
Our go to place for idlis, Sada or Masala Dosa and filter coffee. Bring back food memories of Matunga in Mumbai! Food service is lighting quick and with a smile Though a slight drive away we love to come here early morning to enjoy a quiet South Indian breakfast on a weekend ! And we will be back again

Yelp
One of the best South Indian in bay without any doubt. I have eaten this food as a take out many times but today I dined in for the first time. I absolutely love their thatte idly , Vada , póngal and dosas. Sambar and chutneys are also delicious. Today I tried, Benne Masala Dosa. This type of dosa is thick, spongy and crispy. They did total justice. I always prefer thick type of dosa over regular dosa, so it made my day. My friend had Mylapore special masala Dosa , it has potato, dry red podi (powder)and onion feeling. If you like onion then you'll like this. This place is always crowded and I was with big group so they gave us outside seatings . We did lot of back and forth in sunny vs shade locations. They were very sweet to accommodate our request and let us change our seats. I'm genuinely impressed with the service today. May be next time I would like to try their thali. Highly recommend this place for South Indian food.

Yelp
Been wanting to come here for awhile and finally made it. Of course we came on a nice Saturday around lunchtime so it was peak! But easy to just put my name on the Yelp waitlist, head off to Costco for a quick pickup, come back and our table was ready! Had the ghee phodi masala dosa which was really awesome and packed with the delicious mashed potatoes stuffing. Also the onion dosa which was ok, wished the onions were not completely raw and a little grilled instead. But the best was the medhu vadai -- wow, crispy and light, not over-dense, so flavorful. And the dhal was a great side for everything! I wanna try the thalis on banana leaf next time. Oh and they have dosa happy hour! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
A great place for authentic tamilnadu / South Indian vegetarian food. Everything is consistent and quality of food is great. Great job mylapore team. Keep doing what you are doing.

Yelp
Easily one of the best South Indian spots in the Bay Area! This place has become my weekend ritual -- whether it's breakfast, brunch, or honestly any time of day, it never disappoints. Service is lightning-fast, the staff is warm and attentive, and the portion sizes hit that perfect balance of hearty and affordable. The filter coffee? Absolute perfection -- rich, aromatic, and customizable to your caffeine strength. The masala chai could use a tiny tweak, but that's nitpicking. The sambar and trio of chutneys deliver bold, authentic flavors that instantly transport you to South India. Only downside: no reservations, so you might face a bit of a wait -- but totally worth it once that first dosa hits the table. Consistent, flavorful, and full of heart -- this place sets the bar high for South Indian food in the Bay!
google avatar

Roshan R.

Yelp
Yet another overhyped Indian breakfast spot in the Bay Area. It's always packed on weekends, so expect at least an hour-long wait--no online reservations either. The space is ridiculously cramped, making it hard to move around. The benne masala dosa? Just dosa batter fried in butter or oil. The chutney and sambar? Completely bland. The vada was decent, but the idli was forgettable. The biggest letdown is the sides--chutney and sambar should bring a dish to life, but here, they just fall flat. Overall, it's just another spot riding on hype rather than flavor.

Yelp
Over a couple of years I have consistently been to different Mylapore and idly expresses in the bay area. My first experience was bad which just the overall observation but never on the food they serve. I feel like this has come a full circle. I was driving past this location and placed an order of mini idly for my daughter which was picked up by my husband and due an accident that food fell (outside of Mylapore) and when I went back in to order again that Anna was like ma'am sir just took your order. I told him what happened they all felt bad and offered me an free order which I refused but the heart of seeing their customer low kinda showed how much they actually care to serve you food. Very happy that something like happened

Yelp
I loved Mylapore. Very home styled cooking and excellent service; first south Indian bay area restaurant where i did not have acidity afterward.

Yelp
We've been having meals at Mylapore at least once in two months or so. However, our recent experience was not the best. It seems that their food quality has deteriorated. The Mylapore special dosa were served kind of cold and it was also on the chewy side and not crispy. Also the Medhu Vada were not the best compared to how they used to make and serve them before which was always warm and crispy. The taste of the vada was just OK too. The tomato chutney was horrible as you can just taste raw tomatoes instead of the nice flavor we enjoyed before. Our kids did like the mini idlis and we enjoyed the filter coffee. I truly hope the management is able to look into this feedback and take steps to revive the quality of food that we have always experienced. In fact, we've heard about this bad experience from a few other friends too.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday lunch time. There were 4 in our party. It was bustling, so we had a very small wait. You get a number, place it on your table, then order. Your food will come to your table when ready. The lunch thali is only available starting at 11am, and this was delicious. We got the mega tiffin because we wanted to try everything. The sambar and chutneys were so good, and the best part is all 3 are refillable on request. Everything was cooked to perfection. It was not too spicy for our taste, but did have a nice kick. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu items!

Vijay D.

Yelp
Food is always heaven here I come often here , what I noticed was today idly is soft and soo good , but yesterday was not that great they are hard and not in right shape ,I don't why this change not same everyday . Thank you Jay for your wonderful service and congrats on your Berkeley branch more to come in future.

Vrushali N.

Yelp
What am I going to add that hasn't already been said? Mylapore at any of their locations has a few standard offerings: Flavorful and fresh food delivered fast! Service that absolutely aims to please Generous portions at very competitive price point We went around 3 on Friday and luckily there was no wait. But if you ever go during meal times make sure you join the Yelp waitlist, as it can be very crowded. We ordered all the staples. Idli, medu vada, masala dosas, their outstanding coffee, and masala vada, which is really dal vada. Food comes out before you can even get settled in to your seat and everything is super fresh and delicious. Service definitely reminds me of South Indian eateries in India, and that is a good thing! I'll let the pictures do the talking .

Bhaskar K.

Yelp
Great food and ambience, but pricey. Climate control is lacking inside. For those waiting to be seated, please consider providing a warmer
google avatar

Bharti S.

Yelp
Been here multiple times for breakfast usually we try to reach early morning since it's less crowded... Order process- As u enter you get a card with a number as per the table availability ... then u go to the order counter give them the card & order ur food. For filter coffee u can ask with the food or later u can go back & give them the token coin ( they will give when ordering the food) & then get it as per ur preference. This is their business model which works for them. So far we have tried various dishes like- Idly plate Medhu Vadai Sambar Vadai - Dipped in sambhar Onion Tomato Uthappam Ghee Masala Dosa Benne Masala Dosa Sada Dosa Masala Dosa Mysore Dosa Filter coffee Service is exceptionally fast like for me when I am enjoying my Idli they bring the dosa & it becomes a hassle since I am a slow eater .... But everything is prepared fresh so I don't mind ...place is clean & vibe is good. This is our place for fresh & good South Indian place.

Sunil C.

Yelp
Excellent food, great prices, fast service, clean and hygienic. Authentic South Indian cuisine. A must visit.
google avatar

Simpreet K.

Yelp
My favorite place to get my dosa fix. Taking off one star just because they don't offer Rava Dosa for dinner and I have never been able to make it to Mylapore during the day. My way of requesting to have rava dosa on the menu for dinner. My usual order is the Mysore Masala Dosa. The filter coffee is authentic and really good but be warned if you have it late in the day, it might keep you up at night (speaking from experience). Weekends are really busy so go for an early dinner if you don't want long waits. I'll keep returning and one day have my rava dosa.
google avatar

Ash A.

Yelp
Amazing South Indian tiffin that transports you back to Chennai! Authentic flavors, good service at a clean restaurant with several branches. The wait times can be long due to the popularity and quality of food. There is a Yelp reservation system but only once at the restaurant. A must visit every time I'm in the Bay Area!!
google avatar

Ruhi S.

Yelp
Casual spot to try some dosas, idlis, and more! Even 3 pm on a Saturday this place was packed! Take your # to the counter, where a friendly man will help you navigate the menu and the difference between mylapore and mysore. Take your number to your table and wait for the food to arrive. I tried the idli dipped in sambar which came with plenty of sambar. 7/10 - wish it came warmer too. Mylapore special dosa - 6/10. Perhaps because of personal preference, I didn't enjoy the podi (gunpowder) they used here. The onions, potato stuffing, crispy dosa, and chutneys were delicious however. Next, I want to try to kotu porotta and karak chai here.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
Firstly, 3 stars is a good score for me. 4 and 5 stars go almost strictly to high-end dining. Mylapore is casual, but OMG the flavors are great! I ordered Sambar Idly dipped and onion masala Dosai. I should have ordered one or the other because either is plenty for lunch! Food came out of the kitchen quickly; at lunch at least, they don't worry about serving a party together, or even 2 dishes on the same order (I told you this is casual). I will be back!
google avatar

Abha S.

Yelp
I came here when it newly opened and then again today. When it first opened the flavours and service were better. Now, months later, the service has declined and flavors are not as authentic. The sambar has no flavor and it's served cold with my cup only 2/3rds full. Dosa is crispy but also cold. The wait time is long for certain items- like vegan filter coffee ~ 10-15 mins. The ambiance is same as before, but I feel it's a little noisy and the workers keep cleaning while you're eating at the tables, which is unappetizing. It's a popular and well known spot, but in my opinion the quality of service has declined since it opened.
google avatar

Dan B.

Yelp
First time to visit and won't be my last. This restaurant was busy from arrival to departure. They serve strictly veg menu items, unlike other nearby shops that have both non-veg and veg items. Check-In with the host as you arrive. Once your table is available, proceed to the back counter and place your orders. Food is delivered to your table. There are no soft drink items just special in-house drinks, chai and coffee. Water is available for self-serve to the left of the fridge. The food was fantastic. We ordered: Bene Masala Dosa- highly recommend! Onion Masala Dosa- the red onion is served raw inside; it was tasty but would've wished the onion was cooked Ghee Podi Masala Dosa- rich flavor and soft! Andhra Khar Dosa- for spice lovers, this is great! Tomato Rasam special of the day. Great for the cold day we were having.
google avatar

Ashish A.

Yelp
As far as I remember, this is just my 3rd time trying South Indian Food. My 1st two tries didn't go well because we didn't know a lot about the food. This time we went with a friend who knew more better we did. She followed her. She mentioned that it would take us at least a couple of times to get used to the taste. Because we love hot and spicy food, it felt bland. But that's very typical. Didn't love it but didn't hate it either. It was a different experience, nonetheless. But if you are into the South Indian Food, you can definitely try this place. Quick service type of restaurant. May get busy during the lunch/dinner rushes. Not a cozy or a high end place. But worth it.
google avatar

Samir K.

Yelp
crowded even on a Wednesday at 3! Waitlist yourself, then wait to get a number from the guy at the front. Then, go to order your food. Menu is pretty standard South Indian- uttapam and dosa, plus some others. I had an uttapam and my wife had a mysore masala dosa- which was really good just a little spicy. It can get kind of hectic inside with lots of families and such, but it's clean and service is fast. Coffee and tea is tasty too and the guy makes it fresh in front of you. Solid option in the tri valley!

Yelp
First time trying out Mylapore and was pleasantly surprised by the food and overall experience. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza, so parking wasn't an issue. We were seated right away, despite there being multiple people waiting for tables. The Benne Dose was very good, and I would order it again. We ended up ordering additional items including Parotta Kurma, which was tasty and the Andhra Kara Dosa - which was good but quite spicy. Definitely recommend trying out Mylapore if you're in the area & craving dosa.
google avatar

Michelle V.

Yelp
Pretty good dosas and Vada. Not amazing, but pretty good. Chutneys were not very spicy. Terrible service. On the way in, we were pointed to a table and sat there for awhile before realizing there was no table service (nobody told us). Cashier didn't speak much English and didn't attempt to mime or get help when I didn't understand why he gave me tokens (I still don't). One of the two chais we ordered spilled immediately as we left the counter. He cleaned it up and started ringing up the next customer without offering to get me another one. It had been so hard to communicate with him that I just gave up and didn't try to order or ask for a replacement. Cool that the Chai was vegan, but.. Walked up again to get a box for some Vada and buy some bulk Sambar. My kid knocked the vada off the plate while I was standing there. I told him to throw it out and was still holding the empty plate when I bought the sambar, so I put it down to get my wallet. Cashier yelled at me and pointed to the area where customers are supposed to place dishes. Utterly disrespectful and not at all kind or compassionate.
google avatar

Divya M.

Yelp
You can never go wrong with this place! If you're unsure what to eat, just come here--you won't be disappointed. New item alert! The Chinna Vengaya Sambar Sadam with banana chips is soul comforting. I really hope they keep this on the menu and add Rasam Rice too! The banana chips were so good that I even asked if they sold them. They said no, but then offered me a complimentary refill to take home! Just another reason I love this place--they always go an extra mile to make sure you leave happy and completely satisfied.

Yelp
A must try South Indian restaurant for idli dosa lovers. We had a Benne Masala Dosa (pretty good portion size for one), Thatte Idli and Kotthu Parrota and a Idli Vada Combo dish. Everything on the table was delicious. The service was quick and efficient. Make sure to arrive early on weekends for dinner as the wait times increase significantly post 8 pm. I would highly recommend this place for everything on their menu.

Suresh M.

Yelp
The best south Indian veg food that you will find in the tri valley area. The only complain is it's always crowded but the food is delicious, hence the crowd
google avatar

Jas S.

Yelp
Been going to Mylapore since it opened. It is one of the best South Indian vegetarian places you can find in the TriValley. Rakesh at the reception is very welcoming and warm. The food is great, absolutely freshly prepared, very little oil. We love the ambiance. On weekend nights evenings it can be a long wait, that is the only downside. But given the warm hospitality it is well worth it.
google avatar

Sara B.

Yelp
If you like dosa, you will like this place. Service was super quick, vibe is casual. It was easy to get a table at 11, but the place quickly filled up with some people waiting outside. I appreciate that they have a waitlist and table number system to keep things organized. The dosa was HUGE, tasty and delicious. Loved the dipping sauces. Filter coffee with cream and sugar was great too. Would recommend for a casual lunch spot!

Nandan P.

Yelp
Food is authentic and hygienic. Very good family diner and service is quick. Recommend this place as it's closest to authentic South Indian taste.

Yelp
We have been a long time mylapore customer but got super excited when I saw ratna cafe sambar idli especially with mini onions. It was just outstanding stuff and finished it up with a mini coffee. As usual nothing less that great service from their staff! Our kids just love this place!

Yelp
First Visit to Mylapore - Great Food, a Few Hiccups This was my first time visiting Mylapore. The setup is interesting--there are two separate entrances: one for dine-in and one for takeout. It was during a busy time, and there was a customer ahead of me. When it was my turn to order, the cashier suddenly walked away, which left me a bit confused. I waited at the register for a few minutes, unsure of what to do. Thankfully, Jay (one of the employees and a really sweet guy) noticed me waiting and stepped in to help. I originally wanted to order a dosa to go but was told it's only available for dine-in. Jay recommended the Ghee Podi Uthappam instead, saying it's similar in flavor and he was right. I also ordered idli, a mango lassi (my favorite drink), and masala chai tea. When you order the chai, you're given a token, which you exchange at the tea counter. It was fun to watch the chai being poured in traditional style from a distance into the cup. The food came with coconut chutney and sambar, and everything was absolutely delicious. The uthappam had just the right amount of crisp, and the podi added a great spicy kick. The food was ready in about 25minutes. Despite the initial confusion, the friendly service and amazing food really made up for it. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes!

Yelp
Simple ambiance, but delicious food. The dosa is the star of the show. I love South Indian food, and have heard Mylapore is one of the best places to get it. The spot is simple but buzzing, and service is super fast (5 min to get our food). Pro tip: visit after 3 PM on a weekday for $7.99 dosas during happy hour (any dosa style you want for that price!) We tried the idlis in sambar, idli vada combo, idli pongal combo, plain dosa, ghee podi masala dosa, mylapore special dosa, and onion masala dosa. We also ordered filter coffee and mango lassi on the side. The idlis were soft and fluffy, and came with an excellent tomato chutney, a coconut chutney, and sambar. They were good, but the quantity for the price is low (ex: the idli vada combo comes with only one idli and one vada). The dosas are huge and filling. I didn't like the ghee podi masala dosa--it's a bit too oily and I think I would have preferred regular masala or the mylapore special. The mylapore special was really delicious, including raw onion and tomato and masala potato on the inside. And of course all the dosas come with sambar, tomato chutney, and coconut chutney. Definitely would recommend stopping by. Try the mylapore special or masala dosa, and come during happy hour for the best deal.

Yelp
Kids fav. Indian place to eat. We all like the dosas here. Also like the filter coffee and pickup options here

Yelp
Stopped by at Mylapore Pleasanton last night on my way from the airport. I was craving some hot tiffin after a long flight back home. The food came out in record speed and was absolutely fantastic - as always! A special shoutout to Rakesh at the front desk for his great customer service!

Yelp
F O O D + Benne dosa: thicker dosa (lentil and rice crepe) + Pongal and idli combo + Filter coffee: comes with a scoop of jaggery + Sides: coconut chutney was mildly spicy, tomato chutney was tangy, and sambar was very traditional like my husband's family would make +++Although the menu is all vegetarian, they highlight which ones are vegan with the green V The fridge has a lot of sides that looked like you can buy for takeaway, but I didn't get a chance to try them this time S E R V I C E This is an order at the counter then seat yourself at your table number kind of place. + Coffee is quick. You get a token from the cashier and give it to the guy on the left who makes it fresh. Nostalgia for the token system from India. + Our food also came out pretty quickly A M B I A N C E + Casual with indoor and outdoor seating options + Ample space in the parking lot + Love the banana leaves on the plates - Probably not the best for large parties as it's mostly small tables T L ; D R I've enjoyed their deliveries during peak COVID from Roseville. Solid place for traditional South Indian food, particularly the benne dosa which not many places make. My only gripe is the wait is very long if you arrive after 9am, and they don't allow takeout for dosas. Today was not as crowded probably because of the India vs. Bangladesh cricket match.

Yelp
Legit South Indian food! Every time we are in the vicinity or near the Livermore outlets, we stop here. Filter coffee is incredible, one of the best I've had outside of home. Podi dosa is amazing too. Most things are above average. The not-traditionally-tamilian dishes are mid unsurprisingly (like bisibelebath, benne dosa). Place gets a little chaotic during busy hours but moves quick.

Yelp
We came here on Saturday afternoon, and the place was pretty full. You need to put your name down at the front desk. We had to wait about 30 minutes to get a table. Once seated, you need to order at the counter. The food came super fast. We ordered thali, thatte idli, idli vada combo, and masala dosa. Everything was super delicious! Absolutely enjoyed our time here.
