"Back again, appearing at almost 100 locations across the world from the day after Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve, is Miracle, a Christmas-themed pop-up bar that debuted in 2014 in New York City. It will be at three Massachusetts locations this year — the lobby bar at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel in Cambridge (25 Edwin H. Land Blvd.), Mystic Station in Malden (139 Pleasant St.), and the Citizen in Worcester (1 Exchange Pl.). Note: Mystic Station and the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel’s Miracle pop-ups will end a few days early, with Christmas Eve being the final day, while the Citizen’s will continue on right through December 31." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Mystic is my favorite restaurant. Food is always delicious, drinks are always fantastic, and the service and atmosphere are paramount. The owner, Bryan, is an excellent human being! He’s always hanging around hosting, running food, helping in the kitchen, or glad-handing guests. Love the themes they have each season. Miracle especially, during the Christmas season, is a must. Will absolutely continue to patronize this business. Oh and the wings are some of the best in town.

We absolutely love this eatery! My husband and I have been there twice: once for a couples date and another time for a family outing. The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was very cozy. I appreciate the effort put into decorating the space based on the season. My husband and I always look forward to seeing what the next season looks like because it’s always so amazingly over the top! Bryan, the owner, is incredibly nice and courteous. We will definitely be back!

I had the pleasure of dining at Mystic Station today, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional, full of flavor, and served in generous portions. The service was impressive. Our waiter, Brian, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring that we has everything we needed throughout our meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. It's clear that the owner, Bryan, takes great pride in both the quality of the food and the overall customer experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be returning!

Google
It’s a beautiful Spring themed restaurant with lots of food, beer, and great variety of cocktail drinks. Pretty, colorful and floral atmosphere. 🌸🌺🌼 (I had to re-edit and reload this! This was taken back in May 2024. For some strange reason my IPhone 7 was having technical problems, So I couldn’t upload it to Google maps properly, So I upgraded to IPhone 16 and it work just fine lol).

Google
Service was terrible. I ordered the tonic water and they gave me seltzer . The drinks came without straws, and when I asked for one, I was told that they will only give me a straw if I ask for it.We ordered sirloin tips and a burger, the tips were overcooked and salted to death. The rice had an odd flavor. The greens in the garden salad were wilted and some leaves were rotten. The hamburger was supposed to be medium, and it was well done. I have to say this place was a total disappointment. The final straw , was when the waiter brought the bill, he had it all wrinkled up and threw it on the table. When he returned with the Receipt for the credit card charges, he didn’t have copies for us. I know I definitely will not be returning there.

Google
I stopped by this cozy spot in Malden after hearing some buzz, and it lived up to the hype. The buffalo chicken grilled cheese was a standout—crispy bread, gooey cheese, and just the right amount of heat. Their craft beer selection was impressive, offering a variety of local brews that complemented the meal perfectly. The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, with friendly staff who made me feel right at home. However, ordering through the QR code felt a bit impersonal, and I missed the traditional table service experience. Despite that, the food and ambiance made it a worthwhile visit

Yelp
Mystic station is a great local spot to go for a drink or nice meal and located in Malden right down the street from us. We have had the opportunity to visit in the summer and have a great meal with their buffalo chicken dip and steak tips and now in the winter during their holiday themed bar. The staff are always friendly and fast with the food. They have good recommendations and always check in on you when you are eating. The holiday themed bar experience was fairly crazy though due to the high demand for seating. It was a very fun experience. The food itself is always very fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. Each time I have been here we have had to take things to go and get to enjoy the food a second time. The drinks are also good. Winter had their unique festive themed drinks which were very tasty and intoxicating. Overall a solid place to go for a meal with great food and festivities. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Such a great spot in Malden center! There's not many things in the area but this bar looks unassuming when walking by but the inside truly transports you to a different realm. Came here once in the fall and they had fall decor but it seems like the flowers are here to stay for the spring. The drink menu has a good variety of cocktails and beers. The staff are also super friendly and feels like they enjoy the space too. I'm looking forward to coming here more often!

Yelp
Mystic Station is one of those places you hear so much about that you're worried it won't live up to the hype - but it does! The place was decorated amazingly for Halloween which added to the ambiance. I got the buffalo chicken grilled cheese and my boyfriend got the truffle burger. Both were incredible and really great portions. I'll definitely be back!

Natalia G.

Yelp
Was decorated so cute for the holidays. Christmas drink list was creative. And their flatbread pizza was good.

Troy E.

Yelp
Burgers, sandwiches and other glorious fare, all A+! Mystic was recommended to me some time ago and one late night last year, I did try to visit. Unfortunately for me, locals are very aware of this gem so the wait was a bit too much at the time. But great news, last night (Wednesday is trivia night btw), I was able to secure a coveted seat. We accessed the online menu and ordered as a group. The complementary water was delivered and our dishes followed. A bacon burger that hit the marks with great fries (GREAT fries). A pastrami sammich, which was good but could have been portioned a bit larger but it was accompanied by those delicious fries so no complaints. Lastly, a buffalo chicken sammich- delicious! ...and those fries lol. The atmosphere is great and the vibe is happy and fun. Definitely would get a revisit if was in the area and needed the plug. Late hours are a huge bonus.

Justine J.

Yelp
Love the seasonal themed things they do!! Food is really good (4/5 for me), decor and ambiance is 5/5!

Kate M.

Yelp
Food is out of this world! Friendly and fast service. Tucked away gem. Even saved room for the brownie sundae which was too hard to pass up.

Deneen C.

Yelp
Great food! Everything was cooked to perfection Great service. Although you need to put your order in yourself on your phone which can be a little tricky But other than that I highly recommend

Christian H.

Yelp
Mystic Station is a decent option for a craft burger and hanging out with your friends. I had a classic cheeseburger with bacon; the patty was juicy and flavorful, and the crispy bacon added a smoky crunch that elevated the overall experience. The melted cheddar cheese provided a creamy contrast to the savory elements. It was all sandwiched between a soft, toasted bun that held everything together beautifully. The service was average, and the restaurant was a little messy. The ambiance was pleasant. Overall, they were average in most categories, and they are worth a try if you are in the area.

Carra F.

Yelp
Patio seating was limited but good. Bathrooms clean. There's a lot of board games to choose from to play. You sit down at a table and scan a we code to order anything to your table- I can see this being an issue with someone whose phone is dead or somehow doesn't have a smartphone. The food was good. The beer selection was unique. The service was friendly and helpful.

Greg M.

Yelp
Bit of a wait but it's a fun atmosphere all decked out for Christmas. Service was nothing but friendly and helpful. Their onion rings are solid, better than most, I prefer a little puffier. The pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich is ridiculously good. Extremely indulgent. I don't know if they make their own bread for sandwiches or have it delivered but it's cut thick and tastes great. The arancini was delicious, I thought it was singed on the outside but the friend I was eating with said it's better that way so to each their own. Going back to try the bread pudding.

Yelp
We came here last Thursday for Musical Bingo, and overall had a great time! First, if you just read "musical bingo" and your brain thought "musical chairs", you are not alone. I spent quite a while trying to figure out how a bar full of adults would play musical chairs until the work "bingo" finally registered. (In case your curious, they play 30 seconds of a song that's listed on the bingo sheets, several rounds with different genres--actually quite fun!) Anyway, back to the establishment-- they don't have servers, you order through a website and the bartenders bring your food and drinks. I've used a few of these types of applications, and usually, they've been a pain in the butt, but this one was actually super easy -- each person adds their order under their name, but you want until everyone is in to send (if you want) so that you get the food all at once. Super easy to separate the bill at the end also! And it was kind of fun to be able to hyper-customize your cocktails! So on to the food itself -- my table ordered Buffalo chicken dip and nachos, both were solid pub food appetizers. My husband and I both ordered different burgers, and they were both cooked properly and had tasty toppings. My only complaint was that I would have liked the meat itself to be a little seasoned, but beyond that, no biggie. They forgot my onion rings initially but brought some out quickly. That was another positive -- sometimes when you do electronic ordering, its impossible to find a human if you need something -- not the case here! Plenty of humans checking on you regularly. Anyway, if I lived in Malden I could see myself popping in here pretty regularly. Our Thursday night activity group will likely come again soon for the bingo-- at least until we win some red sox tickets!

Liliana E.

Yelp
Absolutely great place. I sat at the bar where I enjoyed a couple of delicious draft beers as well as the jalapeño burger with sweet potato fries, perfectly cooked and delicious. The bartenders were friendly and made great recommendations.

Richard H.

Yelp
Solid gastro-pub in downtown Malden with nice drink menu and good variety of dishes. Entire party was mostly happy with their choices and inside is bright and modern. Despite other Yelper's concerns, the online ordering system was seamless and cut the wait for food. Waitstaff frequently checked in with a smile, making for a nice dinner with friends. Upon entering, we passed some empty tables opposite the bar and were brought to the rear where there are about four or five booths. The waitstaff introduced the QR code ordering system (help is hard to find these days) and we viewed the menu online. With a group, it was nice to be able to easily split the check. We got the pretzel to start (huge and chewy with bar cheese and mustard). For mains, we did the turkey club (solid choice on crunchy bread, great fries), the special Cajun chicken sandwich ("best sandwich ever" said a friend), quesadilla ("great!") and the pastrami sandwich (a bit salty but on a nice brioche bun). No steak or turkey tips on the menu despite the Yelp photos. I'd like to come back to grab a beer from the big list on LCD screens and sit at the bar at this nice neighborhood spot.

Marni M.

Yelp
Made sure to have reservations as they were incredibly busy during their miracle fundraising time frame. We were seated promptly for our reservations on a busy Saturday night, however it was directly next to the door resulting in a draft the entire time. The host reminded us of the 1.5 hour limit because of their limited capacity. It was not very wide as the bar lined the entire left side and tables along the right but extended all the way towards the back of the building. For a drink I had one of the seasonal specialties which was Prosecco, pineapples, and a medley of other drinks that came in a wine glass imprinted with elves socks, an adorable touch. For entrees, I had the burger with Cole slaw while my mom had the teriyaki salmon with white rice and vegetables. Requested as medium it was more on the well done side but still a hearty size and flavorful with the sautéed mushrooms and onions nonetheless. The teriyaki salmon had a great glaze on top with plain rice and the steam veggies. The dish was garnished with scallions and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. We shared the brownie sundae with vanilla ice cream and whip cream. As hoped for, the brownie was served pipping hot in a cast iron skillet along side the ice cream, whip cream, and fitting red/green sprinkles. Overall food and great service deserved 4/5 stars but the decorum brings it up to a full 5/5! There were decorations from top to bottom including the ceiling, the mantle, and anywhere you could look. Christmas movies were played on the screen above the bar along side a train cycling in the tracks. Only issue was how loud the music was as my mom and I had trouble communicating with each other even though we were less than a few feet apart. Will come again and for sure during the holidays and even throughout the year.

Natasha K.

Yelp
I had the burger nothing special, the service was fine, you order and pay on your cellphone which made it less engaged with the waitstaff. I probably won't go back soon.

Sharon L.

Yelp
I've seen a lot of good reviews on mystic station so I thought I'd go and try it for myself. We went on a Friday night and they were very busy but we got a table fairly quickly and the staff was very kind. We tried the Mac and cheese with brisket. The meat was tender and the Mac and cheese was cooked very nicely with good flavor. We also got the bacon cheeseburger which was very juicy and very big. The fries that came on the side of the burger was also very long but it was crispy on the outside but when you bit in it was warm and soft on the inside. Overall the food was pretty good and I can see why a lot of people enjoy this place. If you're looking for a good place with a lot of classic and comforting dishes, this is it!

Emily P.

Yelp
I had a great time at Mystic Station. The place was busy but we were able to finger a nice seat and quick service. Ordering and payment occurs on an online site accessible by a weekly code which was easy and quick to use. The food itself was great. I got steak frites and shared Buffalo chicken dip. Portions were a great size and prices were definitely worth it. This is a perfect spot for a drink or nice meal with friends. I highly recommend!

Hayden C.

Yelp
Stumbled on here and was very impressed. Burgers were great and then they had one of the most impressive beer lists I've seen. A lot of great options. Would definitely recommend

Chris J.

Yelp
Stopped by mystic station for the first time in a long time yesterday. We got the ghost pepper wings that may have been the best wings I've ever had and I'm not exaggerating. The sauce was hot enough to consider them ghost pepper but not too hot to make them unbearable. I followed that up with the jalapeño burger for my meal and that was great too plus the fries were good. I was always a fan of mystic station when I used to go years ago and it's good to know they are still providing great food.

Christine M.

Yelp
My husband and I had dinner here last night. We've been several times before, but it had been a while since we were in last. It's never been a favorite of mine, but my husband is a craft beer lover, so he has always enjoyed going. Since our last visit here, they've changed the way you order. You order through your phone. My husband handled it and it was easy enough, but felt odd. You have to space out your ordering so that everything doesn't come at once, which, for me, feels like part of why you tip. There were only two servers working the restaurant. It's not a huge place by any means, but the only reason they can get by on two servers is because ordering is a large part of the job of a server, but here the customers do it themselves. You also pay from your phone. The suggested tip percentages given were 20%, 25%, and 30%. Of course, you can also leave a custom amount of your choosing, but the assumption that the service provided here was worth those percentages, was off putting to me. It's like doing self-checkout at a store then being asked to tip for maybe 60 seconds of a server's time. The food was ok. I had the chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, and my husband had the pastrami sandwich with French fries. Both kinds of fries were tasty! My sandwich was fine, but the piece of chicken was tiny and couldn't even be seen until I looked under the bun. My husband liked his pastrami sandwich. Overall, I just didn't love the experience, and I don't think we'll be rushing back anytime soon.

Tiff L.

Yelp
Get the steak tips! I heard it was popular so I decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. The steak tips were cooked to perfection, seasoned well and served with garlic broccoli and creamy mashed potatoes. If you're feeling a sandwich, the pulled pork grilled cheese is a good option too. It was a stuffed grilled cheese with lots of cheese and bbq pulled pork. My fellow diners love their burgers so I will have to give it a try next time! As for dessert, I only tried the carrot cake and thought it could be skipped. The staff was extremely friendly and checked up on us a few times.

DJ C.

Yelp
Hallelujah, the table service has returned! We have been loyal patrons of Mystic Station for many years and it was always one of our favorite local spots. In fact, it was one of the first places we returned to after the pandemic because we wanted to support the owners and staff of this business that we liked so much. Unfortunately, the introduction of self-service ordering via a cell phone app drove us away. I've been checking periodically to see if that practice had ended, and today I discovered that it had! We went right over there for dinner and it was like old times. Great food and drinks, great service and great ambiance. We are delighted to be back.

Irma L.

Yelp
Great vibe. Fun music. Hilarious menu names. Nice drinks. However the food was very bland. The grilled cheese was harder than biting into a slab of concrete. The wings were dryer than noontime at the desert. And the burger was like eating moldy wet cardboard. Fries were fine. Would definitely come back just for the drinks though. Just not the food.

Susan M.

Yelp
Great place for brunch and local business that provides excellent service. Three stars

Leslie O.

Yelp
If I could give this place more than five stars I would. We arrived to Mystic Station around 6:30 PM on a Friday night. I arrived at 6:30 to request a table for 15 as they do not allow reservations. A little after 7 PM they were able to make it happen! We all sat comfortably at our table. You scan and order your food via phone. Our waiter came out to make sure we all had everything we ordered and if we needed anything else. I didn't catch his name but he was really friendly and he dealt with the 15 of us which I appreciate. They have this special turkey burger that includes stuffing which reminded me of Thanksgiving so I placed my order immediately. Didn't even have to read the rest of the menu as that stood out to me. This isn't a place where you're going to find a bud light but you can definitely order a delicious craft beer. I didn't have one but everyone at my table was enjoying them, and continue to order more so I guess they were good. The bartender was extremely patient with me as I had trouble figuring out what I wanted to drink; but he was really kind and told me to take my time. I love the energy at this place. You can come here with your friends, family, or even hang at the bar, and have a date night with your favorite someone. One of my friends is a huge Celtics fan and our waiter generously went out of his way to set up a TV for her so she could watch the game. I called that top notch service. I even posted a TikTok about it "how ladies should never settle" because mystic station pretty much rolled out the red carpet for our favorite Celtics fan! My friend gave me some feedback so that I could include it within my review, they mentioned the nachos with guacamole is way better than the one with sour cream. Keep that in mind if you plan on ordering nachos at this place! If you are planning on going to Mystic Station I really recommend that you do. You will enjoy every minute of it!

Peter N.

Yelp
Great beer selection, and good food. A nice place to hang in downtown Malden, especially after an exhausting workout at the Krav Maga school next door or Boda Borg!

John W.

Yelp
A group of us stopped in after a long day in the city. We were pretty exhausted and, I know this may sound crazy at a restaurant, but we just wanted to be waited on! But you can now add Mystic Station to the list of places that makes you scan a QR code and then you do all the work. It's a real pain in the ass. Ordering everything piecemeal so it doesn't all come at once. Timing all the groups at the table so we all order food at the same time. One of the people in our group was having trouble getting a signal, so they had to keep waiting to borrow someone else's phone. We were going to get up and go to either All Seasons across the street or down the road to the mexican place (I forget the name), but one of the people in our party had already submitted a drink order, so we were stuck. Some people may love this new system, but we just wanted to relax and this did not contribute to that type of atmosphere. Other than that, the beer selection is great, and always has been. And the food is average, and always has been. But the QR system ruined it for us, and more than likely means we will not be going back.

Orestes S.

Yelp
Casual New England pub with great steak tips. Very friendly staff has always been on point with me.

John L.

Yelp
Always a great place to stop, any day, any time, service and food always on point! Thank you

Alice C.

Yelp
I saw the awesome Christmas decorations from outside and just had to go in!! They did such an amazing job decorating the place. We went in mid afternoon and werent super hungry so we got some appetizers and drinks. We got the buffalo chicken dip appetizer and the chili soup. Both were spectacular - the buffalo chicken dip is very very cheesy, be prepared. We also got the old fashioned snowball drink, Which is basically an old fashioned with a giant ball of ice, haha. Overall, an awesome experience, with good food. Would go back for the holiday decor/ experience!

Anna M.

Yelp
I REALLY want to love it here. I've been several times, and they do a fantastic job with their seasonal decorations! I'd 100% recommend coming for Christmas and Halloween for their themed cocktails! But beyond this, I am time and time again disappointed by their food. It's fair at best and surprisingly expensive...I'm always a little let down. Unfortunately their service is also taking a turn for the worse. They now have you do all your ordering and payments through your phone so you server doesn't have any real interaction with you except dropping off food. They have great and fun employees but now you don't get to interact with them and it feels cold and impersonal. It's also pretty annoying to have to do separate transactions in order to get your appetizers before your entree. Overall I'd recommend coming here for a festive cocktail and then heading out for dinner somewhere else.

Savannah H.

Yelp
This place never misses!!! The revolving cocktail specialties are all great, and the food is pretty darn good too! The best though is the Christmas season when they decorate for Miracle and have a super festive month and a half or so!

Patrick M.

Yelp
This is a great small place in Malden. The service here is excellent great food, great service we like their buffalo chicken dip. It's one of our favorites. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Dale P.

Yelp
Beautiful place, food ok. A little light on the pour..service at bat mediocre..I think it was the owner

Dave M.

Yelp
What a great place. The staff were attentive and fun. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, in my opinion. it just had a comfortable vide about it that made myself and the people I was with feel welcomed.

Kate L.

Yelp
Our favorite in every way - great food, kind service, fun atmosphere! Buffalo Arancini.

Fatboy S.

Yelp
This one didn't live up to the hype for me. Everything was just average. You order from your phone, which felt really impersonal. Nothing really stood out. Don't think I'd return.

Nadia M.

Yelp
When we arrived we started out sitting at the bar..but the bartender basically acted like we didn't exist and went to serve two different parties before us that arrived after we got there. So we decided to move to a booth and the server we had was friendly and informative. I like that it's order as you go through the toast app! Food was good- not great. The nachos were okay, and we got pulled pork on them and they were pretty stingy with the pulled pork. We also got a cheeseburger which was really good! The cocktails were also well made. Overall, it was good not great. If we lived closer I'd probably come back but I wouldn't make a special trip.

Phyllis C.

Yelp
absolutely amazing in every way great decor awesome service delicious food fabulous drinks fair prices drinks served cold and food served hot i've been there several times always always great....

Ryan J.

Yelp
My favorite bar/pub in Malden. Incredible beer selection and you can make a flight!! I love places that let me create a flight of beer. They are so rare. The food is really good pub grub. Fresh and bright flavors. I have had the steak tips, buffalo artichoke dip, nachos, and burger and all have been solid. The bar staff are super friendly as well. I will keep coming back here.

Emily D.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants to go to in Malden! Great food and they always decorate for the holidays!

Mariely A.

Yelp
first it took us 10 minutes to get greeted. ordered drinks and found a floater. didn't even bother to stay and find out what the rest of the meal would be like. 10/10 would not recommend. & made me pay for a drink I didn't take a sip out of. worst $20 I've ever spent.

Cyrus W.

Yelp
Love, love, love Mystic Station! It's become my go to for a really tasty meal in the area. Went a couple weeks ago. Made a reservation ahead of time so was able to quickly get a seat. Nice to see them being able to open up more! Carnitas Pupusa - AMAZING appetizer! Incredibly delicious and was a joy to eat. Could almost get two of these and call it a day, lol Burger - I absolutely adore their burger! Honestly, the blend they have is one of the best around and I love it. My absolute favorite burger around and I pretty much always get it when I'm there (lol, which is why I don't have a lot to say about all the other items yet, but my husband loves the other items too) Carrot Cake - The. Best. Carrot. Cake. Ever! This family recipe of there's is amazing. It's incredibly delicious and moist. The cream cheese frosting is amazing. And it has raisins in it and some coconut too...just love, love, love it! Cocktails are delicious as well. Now that things are opening up again, I definitely want to visit even more

Jean C.

Yelp
LOVE.......exciting and new...... I can't believe that I just discovered this place last year. The staff is friendly, low-key, and accommodating. When you tell them that you're gluten free, they HEAR you and understand. The food is DELICIOUS, and I'm very difficult to please. I'm obsessed with their salads and super yummy green salad dressing. The burgers are TO DIE FOR, always perfectly cooked (I like mine medium rare to rare +), and they even have gluten free buns that are actually worth eating. The food is FRESH, and the portions are generous, without being over the top. The owner is always there and they seem to have lots of loyal customers. Count me in!

Mark S.

Yelp
Love this place!!! Great little bar with really great food and beers on tap. The bartenders are great too. Thursday nights have acoustic for a few hours which is really special considering so few places have live music now for whatever reason. Wished they had it more tho! Highly recommend!

Steve P.

Yelp
Went there tonight and had the steak tips. The melted in your mouth . I finished with the home made carrot cake. It was outstanding!

David S.

Yelp
Great place to have lunch or simple dinner, sandwiches, beers hanging out. They even have gluten-free buns for their sandwiches and gluten-free cider for us gluten problem people. Lots of locals.

Kathryn M.

Yelp
Never new about this place till my niece recommended! So glad we went. Came during Xmas- such fun decorations! Drinks and apps were great.

Purna V.

Yelp
Tiny but cute bar in downtown Malden. They have a pretty diverse craft beer selection. We had a couple of beers and a plate of nachos. The server was super attentive. It's a good spot to grab a quick bite.
