7 Best Korean BBQ Restaurants In Miami

"It’s tough to resist the siren song of the adjacent Flanigan’s with a waterfront view of a man-made lake—but shield your eyes if you must, and go to Myung Ga Tofu & Barbecue instead. Everything here is good, and there are tons of options. But like the name implies, the two priorities are tofu soup and barbecue. The tofu soup arrives in a sizzling cauldron adjusted to your preferred spice level with silky tofu dispersed generously throughout the soup. You get to choose if you want anything else in it, and options range from kimchi and clam to shiitake mushroom. As for barbecue, anything on the grilled section—from galbi to spicy octopus—is good. Just be sure to start with the puffy, crunchy, absolutely perfect wings as your appetizer. " - ryan pfeffer

Google
Not saying this is the best Korean food I’ve had. And i have not tried everything in their menu. But honestly it is really good for US standards. I would not compare to actually being in Korea as it will change obviously. I have been there a few times and it’s very consistent. Like you know what you’re going to get, every time. It’s a nice cozy place, good for a married couple wanting to get some K-food going :)

Google
I am not a fan, the service was okay. I did not like the food at all. The K ramen with dumplings was horrible . We ordered spicy chicken and it had no flavor,.

Google
Decent Korean food in Weston area. BBQ ribs were good and tasty and tofu stew was pretty decent. Their bunchans were just okay. Overall good Korean place in the area.

Google
I love this restaurant!! Great small place for Korean food. It' too far from my house but I keep going there because the food was so good and also the service is great. The food is incredible and excellent. The owner is super nice. I always ordered Tofu steak, Grilled BBQ chicken, Spicy pork and Kimchi soup. The Kimchi soup is the one that you never forget. It is an awesome favor. The prices are reasonable. It's really difficult to find a good Korean restaurant in South Florida. I used to go to another Korean restaurant before but I really don't like their service. I am so happy to find Myung ga tofu restaurant. I came back from Thailand and decided to go there, I missed the food there. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Everything is the best.

Google
This is probably the best Korean restaurant in South East Florida. Everything I tried was better than the last. The best thing is that most of the ingredients are fresh/frozen unlike other restaurants in the area that utilized canned items. I'm normally not a fan of fried rice as a main dish (always considered it a side) but was I wrong today! Will definitely be back .

Google
One of a kind Korean dining experience! Food is authentic and staff is very friendly. There’s something on the menu for every tastebuds, from soups, noodles, to rice. My favorite is Ojingo Bokkum (spicy squid) and I always order Chicken Katsu and beef Bulgogi for the kids.

Stacy Zubkousky

Google
Very impressed with food, in fact, I think it’s the best Korean I’ve had in South Florida. You could taste the charcoal grill in the bbq and the veggies in the ramen were fresh and crisp! It appears to be a family establishment and has a very friendly atmosphere. Will definitely go back

I have lived in Weston for years and never set foot in here because the storefront is not very inviting, however a friend took me here one day for lunch and the moment you step in, you find that the looks were deceiving and the interior is beautiful and welcoming. This was my second visit here. The food and service is amazing. We had the Pork Belly Wraps which are very flavorful. The lettuce wraps are fresh and crunchy. The sauces they serve with it are delicious. We also shared the Katsu Pork, which was also light and crispy. It was served with a delicious dipping sauce. They serve your meal with a variety of kimchi and other small dishes which are all amazingly tasty! I washed everything down with a nice hot Saki! I will be back again!

Yelp
What a gem in Weston! These dishes had my taste buds fluttering. The Myung Ga Special Fried Rice is **chef's kiss**. I tried to sneak back for dinner in the following days but my family threatened me with violence if I went without them. Service was friendly and attentive. The overall experience - from parking at the site to paying the bill and leaving - matters. This place is an A+.

Yelp
Joined a few friends for lunch today. I had been here before, but not in a long time. It's a little shop tucked into the strip mall near Wendy's and you might miss it if you didn't know it was there. It's small inside but has an authentic feel to it. Staff were accommodating and quickly corrected my dish, as I ordered it vegetarian and it had meat on it. The bimbimbap was very tasty and the gochugang added a nice bit of heat. My companions each ordered galbi, which they enjoyed a lot. The little samplers of kimchi, spicy cucumbers, and assorted veggies were a nice amuse bouche. I need to get there more often.

Yelp
Fur the area, solid food selection for Korean. The tofu soup is what you want with the bbq meat combo. It really is a small hole in the wall. Lots of people including other Asians dining here. Service always has a charismatic person to brighten it up. It's on the small side so don't go bringing a large 10 person office function here or you'll have to stand at the door begging with your eyes for others to finish eating faster. Like every Korean place - let alone Weston. Food isn't cheap. Family of 4 isn't coming out with a bill less than $120

Yelp
As a Korean who just moved to Miami after ten years in Koreatown, Los Angeles, I was expecting to have to cook at home for authentic food here. I found this spot after scrolling through Yelp and Reddit, decided to gamble on the 40+ minute drive - I was not disappointed! The soon tofu soup and cold noodles are better than anything I've had in LA (yes, better than BCD or Beverly Tofu) AND Seoul. No exaggeration. The owner and his family were very friendly and attentive, I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We went here for a family friend's birthday and it was a little small but they were able to accommodate over 15 people! It was 1 individual serving everyone and she was great! All the orders were accurate and they were able to even take some great pictures. She also checked in frequently which I always appreciate. I can't rave enough about how amazing the service is!! Ambiance is simple with wooden tables and hanging lights with a max capacity of about 50 people I got the Jeyuk which tasted awesome and to drink I got a Koreanade (green grape flavored). All entrees also come with rice.

Yelp
Nice big menu with lots of options. The food was fresh and authentic. We had great service, very quick and everything was delicious! It does get busy tho so calling ahead or arriving early would prob be best to avoid a wait.

Yelp
Really get ready for the best Korean food in Broward county. A Korean cuisine staple for me that does not do ayce but I love it this way. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. The menu is large and intimidating and their staff really helps you navigate it. The ambiance is cute. Gets you in the mood to enjoy soju with their oriental decor and clean environment

Yelp
Myung Ga Tofu & BBQ is quite possibly my #1 favorite restaurant in all of South Florida! I crave this place on a monthly basis. I'd even come here on a weekly basis if I lived closer. Seriously, this place is a must-try! I love meeting friends here and introducing them to this restaurant Inside is a very clean and spacious restaurant, with relaxing music to give late night cozy vibes. Service is always great, staff is so friendly I have yet to try something on this menu that doesn't taste amazing - and I've tried an array of items over time. My absolute favorite is their tofu soup, on spice level mild. It's just so creamy and soft, mixed with rice and I'm simply in heaven. I've also tried their kimchi jigae (difference is their broth bases), which is also tasty. But I prefer the tofu soup. Price-wise, this place is reasonable for the amount of food and quality of food that you receive. An all-around great restaurant that is at the top of my recommendation list for anyone visiting in the area!

Yelp
Finding a homey authentic Korean restaurant is a challenge. Which is why I am very fortunate to live near the quiet town of Weston, where Myung Ga. Locally owned by a Korean family, they put their heart and effort in their cooking and business. The menu consists of tofu soups, grilled meats, and various noodle soups. I personally like ordering combinations so I can enjoy a variety of flavors. Galbi and bibim cold noodles are my favorite because the rich charcoal sear is balanced by the sweet tangy-ness of noodles. Their stir fried udon noodles are a nice alternate to rice if you're looking for change in texture. Being a family owned business, the ladies that work there are super sweet and constantly go table to table checking on their guests. They refilled our hot teas and engaged in friendly conversations. I am happy with their selection of food, but I'll be even happier when they add more items to their menu such as tangsooyook or jokbal.

Yelp
Mul naeng myun is good; kalbi is also very tasty; it was very crowded around 7pm Sunday, though there are plenty of tables

Yelp
Okay, it's been long overdue that I write about Myung Ga so here's a few things in accumulation from my past visits this year lately: FIRST OFF. Priority. food: My go-to's are the haemul pajeon, dduckbokki, kimchi-jjigae, bulgogi fried rice, and the bulgogi hot stone pot (bibimbap). I intermittently order all of these (with friends of course, are you crazy). It's all so filling and extremely delicious. The banchan here are amazing too, I looove the spicy pickled cucumber, salad, kimchi, and fish cakes. Staff is ALWAYS so sweet. They're so attentive and I always have a great time with any one of them. From time to time they even crack in a joke as well and that's a huge plus to me when it comes to service and familiarity. The place is always kept clean as well. It honestly feels like home whenever I come here and it could be the long term commitment of eating here but in unison, the food smells, people, and (often) busy restaurant makes it feel like home to me. If you haven't been already, this is honestly one of the BEST korean spots you can find in soflo!!

Yelp
Myung Ga Tofu & Barbecue is a great lil Korean restaurant in Weston! Not sure why it took me so long to write this review but it is one of my all time favorites in Weston and overall for Korean cuisine. I still need to come for their lunch specials one of these days because they have some good deals which are only available on Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. The inside is on the smaller side but feels cozy and the service is always quick & friendly. Even if it's small, we've had larger parties of up to 10 people here and they are always super accommodating. You can't really go wrong with anything here. My friends and I have worked out way through most of the menu and everything has been a hit! Some of my favorites are the seafood pancake to share as an appetizer, the bulgolgi bibimbap in the hot stone pot (my go-to), the cold noodles, and the Myung Ga special fried rice. They also serve banchan that you can ask for more of if you tend to finish your favorites. If you haven't tried this spot yet, definitely give it a visit!

Yelp
Good food. I ordered the bento box. It came with side dishes, meat , and rice. A perfect meal. The owner is very friendly. Keeps checking on you constantly. Love the vibe. Plenty of seating. They do serve alcohol.

Yelp
I love Korean food, so I've been dying to check this place out. I got excellent service and the staff was super sweet. My favorite thing here was the Budae jjigae, Korean Army stew- so full of flavor and an excellent size portion for the price. Their Galbi and KFC were also on point. Will definitely come back soon!

Yelp
My family and I evacuated from Naples, FL to Weston during hurricane Milton and stayed for a couple of nights until the storm passed. While here I had the pleasure of trying Myung Ga's amazing food. I visited the first night I was here and tried the Grilled Short Ribs. The flavor was fantastic. I was so pleased with the Short Ribs, that I went back the second night I was here, during the landfall of hurricane Milton. I ordered the Bulgogi and some BBQ Chicken. I've never had Bulgogi but I loved theirs. The BBQ Chicken is very good as well, but similar to what I've had at other restaurants. I had takeout both nights, but my first impression of the ambience in the restaurant was that it was very peaceful. It's a small interior, but I would definitely eat there in person if I had more time. The service, for the brief encounter that it was, was also pleasant. I look forward to returning and eating there next time I visit Weston.

Yelp
This is exactly what I was looking for tonight. Something different yet delicious. Tasted like a grandma made it in the back. Love it.... coming back!

Yelp
Great small spot for Korean food. There isn't a lot of seating and they are normally busy anytime I been there but we got lucky getting there right when they opened and sat a large group of 12 of us. They can prob seat about 30 people in here at time it's small and cozy. I'm not a bag fan of bulgogli or Korean dishes in general but i like getting the kimchi jjigae here. It's a spicy bold soup that hits the spot. All my friends love coming here and it's always an option whenever we decide what to eat.

Yelp
Came here with friends on a Friday night. Got the tteokbokki, kimchi pancake, bulgogi, and soup combination special of spicy beef noodle soup and galbi to share with friends. Tteokbokki (Dduck-bok-ki on the menu) ($12.99) - Tteokbokki was standard good--sweet and spicy. Rice cakes had the nice soft chew. I liked that it included onions, fish cake, and part of a hard boiled egg. Kimchi pancake sharing size ($19.99) - Although it didn't look the prettiest, it was still tasty. It was crisp on the outside, just how I like it. Good option to split with friends, especially if there's a friend who doesn't like seafood or is vegetarian. Bulgogi ($25.99) - To be honest, it didn't hit as well as I had hoped. Still, if you don't like spicy food and don't mind sweet/savory, this is a possible option. Soup combination special ($26.99) - The spicy beef noodle soup surprised me in how flavorful it was. You could definitely taste the beef broth, and I appreciate the amount of veggies and noodles inside. The galbi was fully cooked and always a sweet-savory classic to get. These two I would definitely get again. The service was definitely quick. They dropped off the check before we even asked for it--which I could say could be a pro or a con depending on your situation. In my case, it did feel we were being rushed despite there being other tables and we left over an hour before closing. But the food was good and fulfilled my korean food craving. Parking was widely available as it was located in a plaza. Will consider coming back if I'm in the area and craving Korean food.

Yelp
Adding Myung Ga Tofu & BBQ to my list of restaurants that I love and wish was closer to me. I don't eat Korean often, especially since it's so rare in Miami. But I taught at a Korean international school in China for a year and ate authentic Korean food every day for lunch, so it's a taste I know well and crave to this day. Eating here brought back fond food memories. Everything was delicious! The galbi was so tender and flavorful. The banchan was so good! Plus, everyone working here was so friendly and attentive. If you dig Korean food, definitely check this place out.
google avatar

Erin L.

Yelp
I love Myung-Ga! They are so kind. Their Koreanade reminds me of a jolly rancher, and I love their yuzu hot tea. Everyone there is so kind and patient. I prefer to go when it is a bit more quiet, personally. It's a casual spot but it is still pretty nice. It is a bit pricey so I recommend going for lunch if you want to try it out. My favorites are the Galbee bento and the banchan they serve!
google avatar

Jeffrey Dahme R.

Yelp
Came for lunch. Ambiance is nice open and clean. I ordered the item in the picture (sorry forgot the name) and it was decent but not my favorite. Diners remorse--telling my wife to order something I should have--the galbi(?) ribs were amazing. Excellent sear, cooked to perfection and so flavorful! We will be coming back.
google avatar

Oscar A.

Yelp
Excellent food, excellent service. If you're looking for a great korean food experience, you need go to this place. Prices are fine. We had kimchi soup, udon noodles, and another soup. All if them were great, awesome flavors, good size portions. The poace is quiet enough to be able to chat.
google avatar

Rajiv K.

Yelp
Five star food for this low key, casual Korean spot. Lots of authentic dishes and I love how they start you off with some kimchi and pickled starters. Service was friendly and quick. The ambience is nothing to rave about, but it's not what they're going for. Prices are reasonable. Food was delicious! Give it a try if you're in the area. Also tried theirs yuzu honey hot tea - very nice!
google avatar

Elise M.

Yelp
My go-to neighborhood restaurant whenever I crave Korean food. My husband likes their bibimbap and I enjoy the tofu soup and kimchi-jigae. Consistently good food. The owners and servers are usually nice as well!
google avatar

Missy R.

Yelp
Small mom and pops home in the wall. If you want fancy this is not it but the food is amazing! Service was great and friendly.
google avatar

Sara L.

Yelp
Stumbled into Myung Ga in Weston and hit the jackpot - a Korean hidden gem with authentic Korean dishes so good, they don't need proper names. Just kidding I don't know the names and I am to busy eating and writing this review . We had the 'fired riced' , ufff the soup that warms your soul more than a grandma hug, and short ribs for the win .
google avatar

Don P.

Yelp
Great tofu soup and seafood pancake. Servers are also very nice and friendly. It's a little on the pricier side, but it's worth it when you're in the mood for Korean

Nik K.

Yelp
The amount of free appetizers was small and less compared to other Korean restaurants I have been to. You order from the menu so your clothes don't smell of smoke, but it's less fun because you can't grill your food.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
Stopped by at around 7:30 pm on a Thursday, and they were busy but had empty tables available for us. The waiter (i think owner?) was super attentive and got us water very quickly, and took our orders quickly as well. I ordered the kimchi tofu soup, and ordered very spicy because I thought I could handle it (spoiler i couldn't) and the waiter/owner was super kind and considerate and swapped it out with a lesser spicy one when I asked! They provided side dishes as well ~ my favorite was the kimchi of course and the spicy zucchini?cucumber? Overall a great experience, good food and great service, and finally someplace that knows what spice is! Will definitely be coming back soon.
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
This is me and my wife's go to Korean BBQ place! Love the soups, bulgogi, short ribs and the seafood pancake. And let's not forget about the awesome sides that come with your meal! I have not found a single dish yet that I did not like here so this is definitely a great place to have a family get together and dinner meetings as well! If you're in the neighborhood, do try, enjoy the food and have fun!
google avatar

Jenise G.

Yelp
My family and I absolutely love Myung. It's not a fancy place and quite small but the food & service are superb. They're very generous with the side dishes too. We've gone to many other Korean restaurants throughout Broward and none come close. It's my youngest daughter's favorite too. We are headed back tonight! Haha
google avatar

Yelp
An absolute must see!!! I didn't think I could find authentic Korean food in south Florida but this place proved me wrong. The taste for each dish we tried were on point! Our waitress Sue was so warm and welcoming! Her recommendation on the short rib was perfect! I also tried a peach Korean lemonade which was super refreshing! This restaurant is a cute hole in the wall that will be added to my restaurant rotation!

Logan L.

Yelp
Our absolutely amazing server (Don) made sure we were never running out of water and smiles! The food on the other hand was some of the best korean barbecue I've ever had. The server made sure our food arrived swiftly and simultaneously. The ambience was so aesthetic and cute!!
google avatar

Yelp
If you are in Weston and love Korean food make sure to stop by this restaurant! It is a small , quaint restaurant. Service is great , they are all very attentive . I've been here at least 5 times and all the food there is consistently delicious . I took my family here and they fell in love with the food . I definitely recommend the Galbee, along with oyster pancakes . The Korean chickens wings will leave you wanting more . Definitely a must try!
google avatar

Briana N.

Yelp
Such a great spot! The service is great as always and the food is delicious. (I just couldn't get enough of the side dishes!) And thankfully they will refill it for you if you ask. I got the mul naengmyun and I easily finished the whole bowl since it was so good. The broth did come on the icier side especially compared to others I've had, but I love how they give you the bottles of vinegar and mustard to customize yourself since I like mine on the more sour side.
google avatar

Sabrina F.

Yelp
Hidden gem in Weston. No matter what I get on the menu it's always great. They serve a lot of food and have a great lunch special!
google avatar

Lee L.

Yelp
This is the closest it gets to authenticity in South Florida. It's really difficult to find a good authentic Korean restaurant in South Florida but Myung Ga is a good standard for a Korean authentic restaurant. Myung Ga is just as good and authentic as the Korean restaurants in California, Georgia, and New York. I always get the kimchi pancake here because it's really good, it's crispy, delicious, and has the right ratio to it. This is probably the best Korean pancake I've ever eaten in my life. I usually order either the grilled mackerel or japchae as my entree. The grilled mackerel is good, crispy, and delicious. Their japchae is also good, just tastes like most of the japchae I've eaten.
google avatar

Sean F.

Yelp
This is our favorite place to have Korean BBQ. And the service is always great! The soups are amazing and full of flavor. The complimentary condiment's are always fresh and will always bring you more if you ask.

Dulce P.

Yelp
This place is really good and doesn't disappoint. The food comes out fast and is a great price for the amount you get. I get the kimchi tofu soup with water base to make it vegan.

Lannie H.

Yelp
This is our go-to restaurant for Korean food. Authentic food. BEST seafood pancake, crispy and not cakey. The sweet soy sauce for dipping the pancakes takes it over the top. The tofu soup... always on point. Our family's favorite is the SEAFOOD tofu soup. The Myuunga fried rice is perfect and HUGE... a must try! The restaurant is small, very few tables. If you go during dinner time, expect a wait but it is well worth it. If you have a big party, they will do a reservation for you but reservations are only for big parties. Service is good, generally fast. Only during busy times that we have had problems with service. Staff are all very accommodating. Our family goes to Myuuanga almost weekly.

Yelp
3 things about this place: 1. When I used to go to school in Davie, this was my go to spot for Korean cold noodles on a hot day in FL. It's been a few years and was craving the noodles so decided to make a stop. 2. This is by far the best Korean cold noodles you will get in FL. I. have been to different spots for cold noodles in FL and no restaurant comes close to this place. It tastes like how you would get it in South Korea. The perfect combination is when you order the combo with Korean cold noodles + LA galbi (short ribs). Something about the cold noodle was off today and wasn't how it used to be but still pretty good. I have tried other items on the menu and they are pretty good too. 3. The waitress came to the table a little late after sitting us down and no waters were given so we had to eventually ask for some. The staff was on the phone instead of checking on customers so that was the downside for this place. Overall, on a hot day, go try the Korean cold noodles at this place because I highly recommend this item. As mentioned above, other menu items are pretty good too. Will be back to visit this gem again.

Jennifer O.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. I go at least once a week. Try the Galbee Ribs, various pancakes, dumpling soup, tofu soup with various veggie or meat options etc, etc!

Rose R.

Yelp
Food is always great. I had Bulkalbi, my grandson had chicken tonkatsu and my daughter had seafood pancake. They were all very good. They gave us kim chi, bean sprouts, cucumbers, fish slices, salad.
google avatar

Susan P.

Yelp
Solid Korean food. I passed through and could not resist trying this place. Everything was organized and clean. I was happily surprised the food was great! The place was clean and well cared for. I did enjoy the little snacks that came before the meal. My favorite one come to find out was some sort of rehydrated fish lol. I had no idea. It was tasty with the sauce. Nothing was TOO spicy but there was good flavor all around. I found the staff to be nice enough. Bathrooms ok. THey were selling food items retail to supplement due to covid, and had some interesting choices.

Gareth D.

Yelp
The food here was excellent. I had the spicy Octopus and the portions were extra large. Definitely worth the money spent. I would recommend and will eat here again if I'm in the area.

Joycelyn H.

Yelp
Anytime someone asks for a restaurant recommendation, I always suggest Myung Ga Tofu. Their food would never disappoint you with their endless option of banchan and authetic Korean meals. The could times we had went we were greeted by the owner we received great service, we cannot wait to revisit tomorrow!!

Ruthanne C.

Yelp
We were in the area and decided to try this restaurant that is tucked away in a small strip center. We we're warmly greeted and the staff were more than helpful to offer recommendations. The Korean chicken wings were crispy and delicious, the mandu dumpling soup was flavorful as was my seafood beef tofu soup !!! This will definitely be on my go to list when I am over on this coast! A true gem, give it a try for a relaxing delicious meal!

Yelp
We has been a long time since we had eaten here, not because of the food, the service. When we first ate here Korean was new to us. We needed some help with menu and ordering and they left us hanging (other places I had been to since were very helpful). We were tired of eat the same places over and over so decided to give them a second chance, we learned ordering online was so much easier. The food there is very good. So far I've had spicy octopus with noodles and spicy calamari with stir fried vegetables, both delicious and spicy like they should be. The kimchi and bean sprout were ok, but the spicy cucumber just blows them away. Deliver for us is usually perfect quick since we basically live across the street, and wife picked up one night when I accidentally ordered pickup instead of Delivery. THIS IS MY 400TH REVIEW!!

Yelp
One of my favorite local Korean stops with traditional dishes. The owner (i think he's the owner) is super nice too. I also love their iced Yuzu Jasmine Tea
