N°168 Prime Steakhouse

Atmosphere is warm and cozy, service is spot on, very attentive and precise, food is simple and well executed,gratin dauphinois and onion soup were very well execute(i am french), steak is awesome, only cons is portion a bit too small and dessert not at the level of the rest of the meal. But overall a great experience for the price .

The food is overall delicious, especially dry aged rib eye steak. The service is a bit of a pity that there are some mis-served items. The waiter who introduced the menu is a bit frivolous. Maybe that's a way of humor but we did not get it.

Superb dining experience in steak, lamb, chicken and fish. From appetizers to dessert and coffee/tea, the choices exceed the expectation ~ and the taste of each even more. The chef and staff take incredible considerations to allergies and still deliver gastronomical experiences that will surpass your expectations. The service is as good as the dining experience, and the considerate waiters are attentive but not intrusive. Definitely worth visiting ~ you will return for sure once you've had a taste of their cuisine!

Definitely one of the best steak restaurant in Taipei Taiwan. Wagyu steak is a must try for sure. The service was amazing and the staff serving us was just friendly and warm. The quality of its steak was amazing and nicely presented. Really enjoyed to dine here. Such a wonderful dining experience.

I've heard a lot about the famous steakhouse for a long time, but when I finally went, I was a bit disappointed. The food was okay, and the atmosphere was fine, but it didn't quite live up to its reputation.

Four stars for value. Three stars for food execution. Decently nice setting with okay service. Business lunch set is a good value if you order the cheaper items, but my feeling is that any of the “upgraded steaks” are significantly overpriced. I noticed a significant problem with my scallop starter and a few pieces of steak: a pronounced oil-smoke flavor. I ordered the cheapest New York strip so I wasn’t too upset, but if I had ordered something nicer and gotten an oil-smoke piece of meat I would have been quite upset.

The environment is quite comfortable, and the food is nice and delicious. It's quite high-class with relaxing atmosphere here. The service is also nice. However, the price is quite high. In addition, although the steak was delicious, I thought it was a little bit overcooked, making it not juicy and soft enough. I believed it could be better.

Prime Dry-Aged Rib Eye was out of the world. The chef did an amazing job with our medium-rare steak- no blood at all. So impressed and satisfied!

I have been to almost every fancy steakhouses in Taipei and i STILL think prime 168 is the best. Literally out of morton's, danny's, ambassador hotel's, the alexander's, the new one at elite, the new one at sparkles hotel -- etc. literally - all the fancy steakhouses I've eaten there coz I'm such a big fan of medium rare (towards the rare side !) of a good, juicy, well-aged, USA-origin steaks. Also because I like their roasted garlic and also the iron skillet pan the best. keeps things hot and flavorful. Or the 3 type of mustards + 3 types of seasalts. And the fact that their USDA top cap is just really excellent. I've had several special occasions there and every time have been excellent.

They serve high quality steak with reasonable price and surprisingly super Cod fish steak as well . Perhaps here you will not find much innovations but standard menu ... Atmosphere is open with big windows looking out and open oven display . You can have privacy sitting on sofa or they also offer private rooms for bigger parties .

Dinner set menu takes a while to study and select but worthwhile and satisfying once you get through it. For small parties, they offer 3 or 4 gl

As you can read from my profile, I am extremely picky when it comes to steak. It doesn't mean that I always need to eat in fancy places but more about the quality of the meat itself, that is what i am critical about. That said...The quality of steak at this restaurant I found it to be OK..nonetheless this place is worth for a nice dinner for either an anniversary or birthday celebration. The waiter we had it was outstanding, very good service which IT IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN TAIWAN. The corkage fee is reasonable if you follow their trick: 800NT per bottle but if you buy one of their bottles you only have to pay the difference between the price of the bottle vs the corkage fee. 2 bottles = NT1600, if you order a bottle from the restaurant at the same price that bottle will not be charged. Dinner is a set menu, I had the filet mignon..medium well..I give it a 3.5 out of 5...what stood out? the service more than the food
